Grussland is moderately sized country, bordered by swirling seas, treacherous mountains, dark forests, and great plains. An industrious and scientifically advanced nation, Grussland has gradually shed the shackles of single-party communism in favour of a liberal socialism. Our country of 60 million takes pride in its open-minded, modern, and generally relaxed culture. Our heritage, dating back millennia to ancient Germanic tribes, is a source of inspiration and happily shared with those seeking people with inclusive attitudes, advanced education, a multitude of immersive historic sites, awe-inspiring nature, and of course good beer & bratwurst!
Under the steady and fair guidance of the Democratic Socialist Party, the people have seen their personal, political, and economic freedoms grow while maintaining a high standard of living and an excellent work-life balance. Indeed, the nation's brand of mixed-market socialism seeks a healthy balance between publicly owned and regulated private enterprises, with the public and private sectors often working together to achieve great things for the glory of the Grusslander people. Strong regulations prevent the exploitation of the worker, the state, or the environment.

Message from the President

To the Sovereign Entities of the World,
On the Opening of Diplomatic Relations with the Democratic Republic of Grussland
After past failed attempts at opening Grussland to the world via diplomatic conferences and attending galas, the government of the Democratic Republic of Grussland is now making a fresh attempt at integrating into the world community.
Early last year, the people of Grussland renewed their faith in me and the Democratic Socialist Party to form another government, but we must nonetheless break with the status quo. I am determined to increase Grussland's international presence and advanced shared goals with the international community. Grussland seeks to maintain close relations to the nations it opens ties with and build trust as any good neighbour ought to do. Indeed, a secretive and unpredictable neighbour is viewed with suspicion while an open and welcoming one is not.
Alas, the intent with which I broadcast this message is simple: this government intends to establish the groundwork on which formal ties can be formed. I invite the nations of the world to send their emissaries to our capital, Hoffstadt, and we will reciprocate; do not hesitate to suggest state visits!
Any interested government should reply post-haste!
