I'm looking at Wikipedia. It says there that the gdp of the Raj went 125 billion to 213 billion from 1850 to 1947 before decreasing to 30 billion in 1950 after achieving independence

Type of Government: Authoritarian pseudo-fascist dictatorship under a constitutional monarchy (regency)

Head of Government: Prime Minister/Regent Bogdan Filov
Legislature (the name of your national legislature): National Assembly
Legislative Houses (if your legislature is bicameral): N/A
Party in Power: Union of Bulgarian National Legions
National Issues:
Continued Minority Separatism
Within Bulgaria, separatism from minority groups continues to be a major thorn in the government's side. Groups such as the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization (VMRO) and the National Committee for the Liberation of Greece (EEAE) plague Bulgarian holdings in Macedonia and Thrace, and while Dobruja has been mostly pacified and Bulgarinized there still exist Romanian separatist and revanchist groups -- although these groups are not as strong as those within Macedonia and Thrace.
Sectarian Strife
The government of Prime Minister Filov is incredibly unstable. Despite declaring itself to be a stable and undivided state, there exists a deep sectarian strife within the Tsardom. Two groups -- Hristo Lukov's Union of Bulgarian National Legions (SBNL/UBNL) and Asen Kantardzhiev's Union of Warriors for the Advancement of the Bulgarianness (SRNB; also known as the "Ratniks") -- vie for power over the establishment within Bulgaria. Outside of these two groups, though, there also exists sizable anti-government partisan movements that the NAS (National Security Agency) has trouble with; the far-left Fatherland Front is the largest of these. Filov plays a balancing act; appease fascists, Nazis, and monarchists, lest his government implode.
Pressure on All Sides
Despite a claim of neutrality in the Cold War, Bulgaria still stands in a precarious position. Sandwiched between the two giants of Europe, Germany and Italy, Bulgaria must constantly have a balance not between its own internal factions but also internationally between the Swastika and the Fasces. Of course, there also exists outside pressure from the United States and Britain within the Middle East and Africa. Bulgaria must pick its opportunities carefully, lest it be destroyed by either the Reich, the Kingdom, or the States.
Public Goals: Further "Bulgarinization" in Macedonia and Thrace, continued membership within the European Economic Community, economic prosperity, geopolitical neutrality
Private Goals: Closer ties with the Kingdom of Italy, expansion into Romanian oil fields, distancing with Nazi Germany, continued pressure on Greece and Turkey

Currency: Bulgarian lev
Economic System: State capitalism
Major Trade Partners: Italy, Romania, Turkey, Greater Germanic Reich

Active Duty: ~30,000 men
Reserve Duty: ~500,000 men
Total Manpower: ~530,000 men
Land Forces: 20,000
Air Force: 5,000
Naval Forces: 5,000

History:
Bulgaria is an ancient land. From its origins in the cold steppes of what is now the Caucasus to the territory of the Bulgarian empires of old, it has gone through plenty of struggle and strife. The land that is now Bulgaria would be conquered by plenty of empires across history; the Macedonians, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Crusaders, the Ottomans -- Bulgaria would finally emerge as a sovereign state in 1870. Despite this newfound independence, Bulgaria's destiny was still up for debate.
The modern history of Bulgaria is defined by defeat. Bulgaria would fight with Serbia, Albania, and Greece in the First Balkan War, only to be betrayed and stripped of its earnings in the Second Balkan War that came soon after. Defeat in the Second Balkan War, defeat in the First World War, coup d'etat after coup d'etat; this all changed in 1940. As the Second World War's gaze turned from France to the Balkans, Bulgaria was awarded with the territory of Dobruja in the Treaty of Craiova and, with its entrance into the war, territories in Thrace and Macedonia. Bulgarian politics also began to radicalize; fascists flocked to General Hristo Lukov and Nazis flocked to Professor Asen Kantardzhiev. These two groups still greedily look towards areas of revanchism; the rest of Macedonia, Thrace, and Dobruja. Bulgaria stands in a precarious position, standing on a tightrope in an era where tightropes are the last place a country wants to find itself.
RP Example(s): Uh, well... I'm kinda new to this whole thing. Hey, wait, hold on. Let me write something in the spoiler below.

Do not remove - 1952RPSOFIA, BULGARIA -- JULY 16, 1951
Prime Minister Bogdan Filov could not sleep.
Getting up from the bed he shared with his wife Evdokia for what had to be the 6th time that night, he paced around his home with a pit of anxiety building in his stomach. Wistfully looking at the dark horizon over Sofia, he thought of his home in Stara Zagora. He thought of fishing with his father, his time spent studying in the German Empire, his excavation of Kabile... where did it all go wrong? Bogdan sighed, turning around. He grabbed a bottle of wine from his cabinet and poured it into a glass; his hand shook as he brought it to his mouth.
Bogdan did not want to be Prime Minister. The office had visibly aged him; his eyes had heavy bags and his mustache was graying. He suppose he is getting old; his 66th birthday was only four months ago. At the same time, though, Bogdan couldn't say that he didn't love the job. It was his duty to be regent for young Simeon and prime minister for the motherland he loves so dearly. He set his glass aside and put the wine back in the cupboard, returning to bed. Evdokia's chest slowly rise and fell and he smiled. If he had to do this, he thought, then he'd do it for her.
He closed his eyes and attempted, yet again, to go to sleep.

Thanks.
I will keep that in mind, and I will be glad to have you in the RP. In case the US app is completed and gets accepted, would you be interested in some other nation? There are many countries open and some of the reserved countries (like China or Italy) will expire in the following days. So if you are interested in one of those nations, just mention it.

And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.

I'd really prefer the US, given the state of the world as you've described it; I think the idea of the Brown Scare being the glue that holds the New Deal coalition together, preserving an ostensibly more idealistic version of the Union at the cost of papering over some profound inequities, would be a fascinating vision of a path not taken. That said, I'm well aware that the US is reserved at present, and I'm quite content to lurk until - if ever - it is not.

In that case, I actually have an interesting which definitely would have to get approved by the OP, but might just work:
How about we joint-rp the US? It seems you had the same idea I had, where the Brown Scare causes New Deal policies to continue to at least the end of Truman's last term, so we may actually see eye-to-eye on which direction the US will take, in which case we might as well both be the US.
First, though, I want to ask you: what would be your "end-goal" for the USA in this rp?

Unfortunately, I don't really feel confident in my ability to turn that sort of arrangement into solid storytelling. I'm happy just to linger until you are either finished with your app, or until you are confident that you would rather go another direction. But I do appreciate the offer.
