Just a question; is the Malayan and Singaporean Strait colonies independent or still under British rule?

It's still a colony according to British app but you can:

A) Ask the British player if they want to allow the colony to become independent.
B) If not, ask them if they would allow you to RP as a British colonial government (assuming you want to do so).

Otherwise, you can app as Thailand or Vietnam or Laos or Cambodia or Indonesia.

The China reservation also expires tomorrow, so maybe you can join as China too (assuming an app is not posted tomorrow).

I think the British would try and be moderately successful at keeping the Malayan and Singaporean Strait, though it would be a rather weak grip held on by a weak government. You app as the colony of then try to fight for your independence as South Rhodesia has done, you'll have the advantage in that fight, but the British will mostly likely try to fight back, depending on what the ideology of the independence fighters are.

Except India will intervene on the side of the independence fighters and put a stop to British colonial rule.

Actually, Japan would control Sakhalin. The Russians would not have been able to take it before their collapse, and I doubt the US would give it to the warlords.

I will keep that in mind, and I will be glad to have you in the RP. In case the US app is completed and gets accepted, would you be interested in some other nation? There are many countries open and some of the reserved countries (like China or Italy) will expire in the following days. So if you are interested in one of those nations, just mention it.

Hey OP, can I adjust my app's GDP? I have vastly underestimated the potential wealth of a united Indian subcontinent. It should have been $300 Billion with the inclusion of Celyon, Burma, Nepal and Bhutan. The current stat I have to too low for a nation that became the fourth largest industrial power after WW2

The real Indian GDP in 1950 was 30 billion dollars; do you think Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Nepal and Bhutan could really raise that tenfold?
