Also, I don't think he's yet realized that Portugal only joined the war in 1944, and even then as a non-belligerent, so Germany would not share a border with Southern Rhodesia.
The closest possible German territory would be the Congo, if there aren't any Belgian holdouts in the region. Even then, Britain would have to give them access and they'd have to march through the thick jungle of the southeastern Congo.

Blocked Out of Europe - Nazi Germany's victories in Europe have meant America's losses. The extreme nationalist nature of Germany has led to the US being blocked out of the European market near-entirely. This has caused moderate economic damage to the American economy, but there has also been a positive outcome due to this, detailed in the history section of the app.
Partial Economic Dependency on Asia - Economic attention has been shifted to Asia, where the defeat of the Japanese Empire has allowed for large-scale economic domination by America, at least in most former Imperial Japanese territory (excluding Korea/Taiwan) and Indonesia. While major trade is conducted with China, the increasing ultranationalism of the Kuomintang means that maintaining this current flow of trade will only get more difficult as time goes on.

History (HEAVILY WIP):
All IRL history is the same, up until the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, after which the USA declares war on the Japanese Empire. Unlike in OTL, the United States decides to only participate in the Pacific Theatre, & Germany (as well as Italy) does not "prod the sleeping giant". Only having to be focused on a singular front, the United States is able to apply increased pressure on the Japanese, pushing them out of most of their overseas territories in Oceania (as well as Indonesia & the Philippines) by mid-late 1944. After the Allies make these significant gains, though, the Japanese manage to bring both their own gains & losses on the front to a halt through various sophisticated defensive tactics under a overarching strategy known as the Sufiashīrudo ("Sphere Shield"). These tactics were near-entirely developed by a frantic & desperate Hideki Tōjō, who feared losing his post as Minister of War, or worse, if he did not get his act together. After being implemented, Emperor Hirohito took notice of Sufiashīrudo's effectiveness in halting the advancing Allied forces, and decided to maintain Tōjō as his Minister of War. However, this "success" would not last long for the Japanese Empire. Realizing the extent of how truly screwed Japan was, Tōjō developed these tactics knowing that they would only work for so long, planning to either escape or fake his death under the cover of Operation Downfall's chaotic invasion of Japan. However, that never came to be, as on 8/6/45, President Truman orders the dropping of an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. Emperor Hirohito, despite the catastrophic death toll & damage resultant from the bombing, resists Japanese surrender, "forcing" the USA's hand. On August 9th, another atomic bomb was dropped, this time on the city of Nagasaki. 6 days later, Japan finally surrenders on August 15th, signifying the complete end of World War 2.
...Recent ties to Asia have caused a new flow of trans-Pacific immigration to the US, especially from Korea, Japan, and China. The Federal Government, noticing the economic benefits of Asian immigration, has undertaken public campaigns to increase acceptance of Asian immigrants by American society, which has seen success in the Pacific/Southwest states, the Steel Belt, and the North-East. However, this success is not fully attributed to the campaign itself; rather, a lot of it comes from the increasingly left-leaning political/social climate of America during the "Brown Scare", particularly in said regions where Asian integration has gone more smoothly. On top of this, the ongoing right-wing drift of the Kuomintang (ruling party of China) could make this more difficult, as Chinese immigrants, and by extension all Asian immigrants, become increasingly equated with fascism during the "Brown Scare" (even if they personally are against it). But, even of this may be true, there isn't any substantial immigration out of China to America ta the time being, so it is unlikely that this would happen...

- An Agrarian Society: Despite the slow re-industrialization of India since 1936, the Indian subcontinent is still heavily rural. In order to truly modernize the Federation, India must mobilize the workforce and build more factories. All while having to avoid another famine.
- Religious Extremism: Although the constitution guarantees the freedom of religion and protection of minorities, there are still those zealot fanatics committing terrorism to advance their own religious agenda. India must combat these extremists and not give in to radical ideology.
- Dysfunctional Democracy: The Indian National Congress is a big-tent political party ranging from communism to borderline fascism, and everything in between. Unlike most of the world powers, India is in a unique position where its population is its greatest strength; making the Indian Army the largest volunteer force in the world. Despite the appearance of a backwater rabble armed only with a rifle, bayonet, and helmet (if given the option, the Indian Army inherited the British regimental system and most importantly, the bagpipes. With a low standard of living and soldiering as a well-respected trade, the United Indian Federation has the unique advantage to pick and create one of the most effective armies in the world, even higher than the British. Even the Wehrmacht is fearful of the Indian soldiers.
Another notable aspect of the Federation's military is how diverse it is. From the Gurkha riflemen to the Bengali engineers, there is a regiment of every ethnicity from every religion gathered from all four corners of the nation. The Gurkhas themselves emerge as a paragon to what a professional soldier is and thus, formed to be the core units that make up the Indian Special Forces.
History:
The POD for a united subcontinent begins when Muhammad Ali Jinnah, leader of the All-India Muslim League, does not return to India after 1920 but chooses to stay as a barrister and Muslim rights activist in England. Thus, this leaves the Muslim League without the necessary charismatic leader to push for a two-nation theory. As the result, the Indian National Congress has a more successful argument for a unified and independent India. However, London is still keen on keeping the crown jewel of the empire intact. From the 1920s to the mid-30s, Mahatma Gandhi still continues to promote his civil disobedience against the British Raj, attracting tens of millions of followers. He would still have tea with King George V, befriend Albert Einstein, and encounter Charlie Chaplain during his multiple tours of England. Gandhi's actions would make him the Spiritual Father of India and the face of the United Free India Movement.
At the outbreak of WW2, the British Raj sent over 2 million volunteers to aid England in Africa, knocking the teeth out of the Italians in Egypt and North Africa and skirmishing with Rommel's Afrika Korps. On the home front, not all Indians supported being the meatshield of the British Empire. One such Indian was Subhash Chandra Bose, who went out of his way to contact Imperial Japan and formed the Indian Nationalist Army. He would gain controversy among the British for being an Axis collaborator yet is so well-beloved in India that when the British attempted to put him on trial after getting captured in 1942, almost the entire Raj and the British Indian Army revolted in protest. The first pardon King Edward VIII signed was given to Bose, allowing him to return to India as a national celebrity.
Yet, with the tremendous loss of prestige, British power in the subcontinent considerably as the INC became more restless every month. Even the Gurkhas, renowned for their loyalty to the British Throne, joined the independence fervor as Nepal and Bhutan began agitating for freedom. British withdrawal would've ended sooner if it weren't for London dragging its feet in delaying the inevitable. But the day finally came on August 15, 1947 when the signing of the Indian Independence Act formally recognize the complete termination of British Imperialism over South Asia. That same day, Bose, being a surprisingly fierce negotiator, successfully convinced Bhutan, Nepal, Ceylon, and Burma in a council to join the newly established Republic of India. August 23rd saw the Treaty of Pondicherry between India and the French State, legalizing Indian control over French India (taken in 1940 after France fell to Germany), and the Treaty of Goa between Portugal and India which saw the recognition of Indian annexation of Portuguese India.
A constitutional convention took up the rest of 1947 and into mid-1948, seeing the union between India, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka transition into the United Indian Federation. The first national election would see the INC dominate the ballot, leading Jawaharlal Nehru to become India's first prime minister. All this time, nations around the world expected this grand ceremony to quickly fall apart on religious on ethnic lines but with Gandhi's spiritualism, Nehru's iron will, and Bose's nationalism, the Federation held on together for four years, leading to a new wave of optimism for the people. With the reelection approaching next year, the Triumvirate has grand ambitions to bring the country onto the world stage.

Head of State: First Secretary Lazar Kaganovich
Head of Government: Premier Vyascheslav Molotov
Legislature: The Presidium of the Soviet Union.
Legislative Houses: N/A
Party in Power: The Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
National Issues:
Porous Northern Border: The vast northern border of the Soviet Restoration Government is hard to police, indeed it seems like an impossible task given it's vastness and it's harsh terrain where a small band of robbers and bandits can easily slip unseen through the tundra and taiga and then strike against the scattered villages under the control of the Restoration Government. This inability to handle the raiders in a permanent manner has been a great source of outrage with the regime in the northern areas of the country and makes it harder to invest in developing agriculture in the chestnut soils around the southern Angara and Yenisei rivers. The Soviet Restoration Government will have to secure the northern border, or northern Siberia in it's entirety and finally end the bandit menace.
Aftermath of the Great Flight: After the Soviet Union fell to pieces, one of the greatest mass-migrations in human history followed as millions upon millions of people fled east across the Urals with whatever they could carry, as long as they could escape the genocidal Nazi regime chomping at their heels. Millions of these people saw themselves end up in the territory of what now is the Soviet Restoration Government, massive shantytowns have appeared alongside every city and somewhat sizable town. Inhabited by the millions upon millions of people who fled what is now the Reichkomissariats, these are places of utter destitution where crime and suffering is rife. It is clear the Soviet Restoration Government will have to invest great amounts of money into agriculture, infrastructure, housing and all else needed to settle the refugees in expanded cities and new towns and rural villages where they can properly contribute to a new and properly revitalized economy.
Regime of the Four Restorers: The Soviet Restoration Government is under the control of four men, victims of Beria's purges who became friends when they suffered side-by-side in a work-camp for political prisoners. In that camp, long discussions about the plight and suffering of Mother Russia, Beria's tyranny and the policies of Lenin and Stalin led to the four men forming a new line of Soviet socialist ideology. This new "Neo-Bolshevism" has become the new guiding ideology of the Irkutsk government which sees itself as the rightful, legitimate heir of the Soviet government in Moscow. However, the regime of the Four Restorers has inherited a country rife with complete institutional disorder and rules over a Russian people who, after the famines and terror of Stalin's rule, the utter defeat at the hands of Nazi Germany and the horrors of the collapse and subsequent Beria Tyranny seem utterly disenchanted with Communism. The Soviet Restoration Government will have to prove that the new force of Neo-Bolshevism can restore Russia and give the Russian and Soviet peoples a new sense of confidence and faith in a brighter future worth fighting for.
Public Goals: Rebuild the national infrastructure. Turn the area between the Yenisei and Baikal into a new Russian heartland. Rebuild and revitalize the economy. Take control of all of Siberia east of the Ob.
Private Goals: Reconquer all former Soviet territory up to the border of RK Moskowien, destroying the Commonwealth, Vlasovists and other post-Soviet states in the process. Destroy Turkestan and conquer most, if not all of Kazakhstan and secure control over the rest of Central Asia. Hopefully reclaim as much as possible of former Soviet territory now part of the R-K's in the West. If possible destroy Germany without triggering nuclear war.

Military Branches:
The Red Army of the Soviet Union.
- The Red Army Ground Forces.

- The Red Army Navy.
Active Duty: 202 000 troops.
Reserve Duty: 300 000 troops.
Total Manpower: 3 000 000 fit for service.
Land Forces: The Red Army Ground Forces consist of 167 000 troops. These troops are are organized into 2 Armored Divisions - 6 Infantry Divisions - 2 Cavalry Brigades. The active forces keep a high level of readiness and training and are divided into two so-called Theatre Commands, the Western one stands under the command of General Ivan Konev and the Eastern one under the command of General Konstantin Rokossovsky. As the western command covers by far the most territory including most of the vast northern border, it also has the most troops whereas the eastern command has one Armored and two Infantry divisions. The troops are mostly equipped with World War II-Era equipment, namely PPSh-41 and PPS-43 SMG's or SVT-40 and in some cases still Mosin-Nagant rifles. The armored divisions have access to mostly T34-85 tanks with the mobile infantry being mounted either on trucks or in BTR-152 APC's.
Red Army Armored Division structure
- 2 Armored Brigades
- 2 Mounted Infantry Brigades
- 1 Artillery Regiment - mostly equipped with D-30 Howitzers.
- 1 Air Defense Regiment - mostly equipped with 52-K and 61-K AA guns.
- 1 Detached Reconnaissance Company
- 1 Detached Combat Engineer Company
- 1 Command-Staff Headquarters Company
Red Army Infantry Division structure
- 4 Foot Infantry Brigades
- 1 Artillery Regiment - mostly equipped with D-30 Howitzers.
- 1 Air Defense Regiment - mostly equipped with 52-K and 61-K AA guns.
- 1 Detached Reconnaissance Company
- 1 Detached Combat Engineer Company
- 1 Command-Staff Headquarters Company
Air Force: The Red Army Air Force consists of 30 000 troops. Thanks to Irkutsk being a significant center of the Soviet aerospace industry and aircraft manufacture before the fall of the Soviet Union, the NPRG has inherited these industries and their workers and through that managed to build up a quite capable, sizable and well-supplied air force. While it is mostly made up of older WW2-Era propeller models, the technological know-how is there on how to build jet aircraft such as the MiG-15 or MiG-17, the various economic support industries would not be able to handle wide-scale jet aircraft production. The pride and joy of the NPRG's Red Air Force is the ground support arm, consisting of 260 IL-10's. The fighter force is largely made up of MiG-3, LA-7 and LaaG-3's. Meanwhile, 60 LI-2's make up an important logistical supply force in a region with poor infrastructure. All in all, the Red Army Air Force operates 860 aircraft.
Naval Forces: The smallest of the Red Army branches, the Navy consists of only 5000 troops based mostly in Magadan. It's main force are three Uragan-Class Guard Ships based in Magadan, in addition to this the Red Army Navy has around 10 torpedo boats also stationed in Magadan while 4 torpedo boats and 8 patrol boats are stationed in Nikolayevsk-na-Amure.
Other Military Information: N/A.
History: In the chaos of the collapse of the Soviet Union some tried to organize the chaos, to reorganize, to rebuild and to fight back in order to drive the Nazi menace all the way back to Berlin. As chaos gripped Moscow with German troops drawing ever closer, Lavrentiy Beria ordered the evacuation of the city. As part of this evacuation the various organs of the Soviet government were given top priority in order to rebuild the apparatus of state east of the Urals. Many former officials and government agencies arrived in Irkutsk, tasked with rebuilding the organs of state and use the city as the temporary capital of the Soviet Union until Moscow could be reconquered. Meanwhile, heavy fighting was ongoing along the Volga and in the north in the bloody Battle of Arkhangelsk. With the lines of communication severed, mass-confusion in every echelon of government and the infrastructural systems totally stopped by a jumbled mess of civilians fleeing in panic from the west while confused, newly-raised divisions headed west to reinforce the front, Beria installed himself in Irkutsk and began ruling the Soviet Union with an iron fist, anyone suspected of opposition to the new NKVD-led regime was arrested and either killed in the nearest makeshift NKVD prison or taken to an even more makeshift work-camp where most would soon die of malnutrition and exposure. With any semblance of order collapsing and the military descending into munity after Beria issued Order 227, it seemed Beria's NKVD "securocracy" died in the cradle.
As the NKVD lost control, four men who had been thrown together by circumstance in one of Beria's gulags rose to prominence. They were Lazar Kaganovich, former high-ranking government official under Stalin. His brother Mikhail Kaganovich, a high-level Communist Party functionary. Vyascheslav Molotov, Stalin's former Foreign Minister and Nikita Khrushchev, NKVD Commissar who had been purged as part of the internal anti-Beria faction of the NKVD. These men, fallen from their lofty positions of power and privilege now did back-breaking labor side by side in the Siberian work-camps, as they labored, they also reflected, talked into the small hours of the night. About Mother Russia and her plight, about the Great Comrade Stalin and Lenin, Father of the Revolution. What would Stalin have needed to do in order to prevent the disaster and destroy the Nazi horde which had crossed the border on that fateful summer day in 1941? How did his policies compare to Lenin? Where did they fail? Where did they succeed? Many joined in their conversations and eventually, the four men started developing a new line of Soviet socialist ideological thought. As the Beria regime collapse, the four men returned to Irkutsk with many other political prisoners which had escaped as the NKVD lost control of the prison-camps. In Irkutsk, the Kaganovich brothers, Molotov and Khrushchev immediately got to work, securing control over the government and ensuring the support of the troops in the region which were under the command of generals Konev and Rokossovsky.
While they managed to secure their control over the government in Irkutsk, what remained of the Soviet Union had fractured. The Commonwealth of Workers’ Unions and Councils in the west has become an Anarchist aberration throwing off all semblance of organized, legitimate rule. Further west across the Urals warlords battle each other while the worst scum imaginable, the Nazi collaborators under Vlasov control most of north-western Russia from Arkhangelsk. In the southeast across the Amur river the commanders of the Soviet Pacific Fleet have turned Vladivostok into their own military dictatorship fiefdom while Sakhalin became split in north and south from the collapse of the USSR and the defeat of Imperial Japan at the hands of the Americans while northern Siberia languishes in darkness and anarchy. The Irkutsk government now only ruled a long expanse of south-eastern Siberia, centered along the Trans-Siberian railway as the main infrastructural artery to secure it's control.
The Kaganovich brothers, Molotov and Khrushchev now stand before the seemingly monumental task of rebuilding the torn territories under the control National People's Restoration Government into a coherent entity and plan on extending their control over all of Siberia east of the Ob river. The first step in the restoration of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, not only restoration but true rise to it's full potential. Guided by their new Neo-Bolshevist ideology, the "Four Restorers" are setting out to rebuild. Rebuild the infrastructure, rebuild the economy, rebuild the military, rebuild faith in a better tomorrow. It is a momentous task indeed, but the Four Restorers have vowed not to allow the tragedies that have befallen Mother Russia to be the last gasp of Lenin's noble cause. To this end, Neo-Bolshevism may have to deviate from standard Marxist-Leninist and Stalinist orthodoxy in a number of aspects. As respectable and great as the Old Bolsheviks were, the world has changed and become unrecognizable from those days and so the rightful government must change too, for the good of Mother Russia. But with Chairman Lazar Kaganovich at the helm and a cadre of thinkers such as Khrushchev, Molotov and his brother Mikhail Kaganovich around to help and support him, the Irkutsk government stands ready to embark on the long road to the restoration and revitalization of the Soviet Union.
