There's going to be an interesting dynamic in Sudan with joint British and Egyptian rule, especially since the two have radically different ideologies and since the British are so weak in this timeline and the British Empire is falling even faster than it did Irl.

Only if Egypt gets all of Sudan (as well as South Sudan).

Well Sudan and South Sudan were one at this time as a Condominium of both the UK and Egypt. Meaning that it was ruled jointly by both the UK and Egypt from 1899 to 1956, though I do wonder if the UK would be able to hold on to Sudan in this timeline, they would certainly try, and I did show Sudan as a British colony in my app. Though would the UK really be able to hold on to it, maybe it's disputed territory and the UK and Egypt are quarreling over who should have full control over it. What the does OP think of this?

History: Russia has fallen, that is for sure. Perhaps if Stalin had fled east, our state would not have collapsed.
The history of the Far Eastern Soviet Republic begins when Zhukov, the founder of our state, after the fall of Moscow in 1942 and after the confusion caused by troops to the east, seeing the collapse of the state, seeing the fighting of soldiers from the NKVD, flew east. There, the Soviet army ready to strike Japan stood with him, despite the difficult situation in the west, Stalin forbade its weakening. Hence, despite the older equipment, the army was quite numerous. Thanks to winning her support, he managed to create a state.
Far Eastern Soviet Republic.
Now ... after a few years, he has managed to expand his economy a bit. The people from the gulags were pardoned.
Today, the Far Eastern Soviet Republic is a rather stable country, perhaps the time has come ... to start uniting ...
Unite the Workers of Russia
Perhaps the time has come ...

Let the Red Banner fly victorious!

For the revolution to win!

I think the app is not accepted because you put down 40 billion people instead of 40 million as your pop. Same as your GDP. Change it to 45 million and it would be more acceptable. There's a lot of spelling and grammar errors in your app that needs to be fixed.

    Legislature: Imperial Majlis
    Legislative Houses: Imperial Majlis (unicameral)
Party in Power: National Front (Jebhe-ye Melli-ye Irān)
    National Issues:
    • Ethnic Minorities: By far, Iran has been quite successful in integrating its ethnic minorities - most importantly Azeris and Arabs - into Persian culture. However, Azeris in Southern Azerbajian and Arabs along the Persian Gulf coast still poses a considerable threat to national unity, since resistance groups which operated in these regions constantly opposed the Iranian state and seek to gain independence. As such, Iran is trying almost all methods to quell the resistance and Persianize its minorities - such as enforcing the use of Persian language, resettling Kurds and Lurs into these lands, rounding up people into labor camps, or exiling them to the far reaches of Turkestan as penal labor.
    • Communism: The Iranian government outlaws communism and introduced harsh punishments for any communists, or communist sympathizers. Yet a significant Communist resistance still persists inside the country. The government has doubled down on repression and started using hars measures to combat this, including sending all known communists into labor camps, increasing SAVAK (secret police) operations and agents, and others.
    • Modernization: Inspired by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's reforms in Turkey before the war, successive Iranian governments tried to modernize the country and copy Atatürk's reforms in Iran. However, none has been as successful as Mosaddegh. Iran changed the writing system into Latin, emphasized secularism and Persian nationalism isntead of religion as the main national ideology, experienced an infrastructure and industrial boom, as well as combatting illiteracy and low education by increasing the numbe of teachers - and even importing intellectuals from abroad. Women were given important positions in government, even becoming members of the Majlis, governors, and served in the military. However, Iran's modernization efforts are far from complete. The country still needs to expand its industrial output and obtain investment from abroad - either from Germany or the United States. Iran needs to modernize even more rapidly if it wants to maintain economic growth and project geopolitical power.
Public Goals: Unite all the Iranian peoples under the Imperial State
Private Goals: To help Turkestan expand further north into Siberia; establish closer relationship with German-aligned Arab countries; a regional Cold War against the Ottoman Empire

    GDP (nominal): US$37,500,000,000
    Currency: Iranian Rial (IRR)
    Economic System: State Capitalism
Major Trade Partners: Nazi Germany, India, United States, China, Egypt
    Alliance(s): Neutral

Military Branches: Armed Forces of Iran (Nīrūhā-ye Mosallah-e Īrān), service branches:
    • Artesh/Iranian Army
    • Spahi/National Gendarmerie
    • Iranian Navy
    • Iranian Air Force
    Active Duty: 165,000
    Reserve Duty: 180,000
    Gendarmerie: 52,000
Total Manpower: 2,100,000 (men and women eligible to be drafted)

    Artesh (Army): 130,000
    Spahi (Gendarmerie): 52,000
    Iranian Navy: 41,000
    Iranian Air Force: 11,000

    Other Military Information:
    • Army doctrine: The Iranian Army employed a doctrine of mobile warfare and superior firepower - influenced by an effective support system of heavy industry in Iran. There are three economic corridors in Iran; the first running from Southern Azerbajian to the Persian Gulf coast, the second along Kurdistan, and the third from Fars to the eastern end in Mashhad. These chains of factories, roads, railways, and supply depots ensured that mass mobilization of the Army can be done swiftly; unit and armor replacements are readily available. Iran constructs its own indigenous tank and and armored car designs, in addition to using World War II-era German armor. The mountainous terrain between iran and Turkey creates a significant obstacle to tanks, so regiments of mobile infantry and rocket artillery are stationed there instead. To the north and southwest, the Mesopotamian plain and Turkmen steppe allowed for heavy cavalry use; tank divisions are concentrated there instead. The regular Iranian soldier is better-equipped and trained than soldiers from neighboring countries, due to the smaller amount of soldiers in the Iranian army.
    • Navy doctrine: The small Iranian Navy largely plays a defensive role, with emphasis on fast attack crafts and corvettes instead of destroyers and aircraft carriers (as a blue-water navy requires). Iran maintains a series of naval forts along its Persian Gulf coast to better coordinate and supply its Navy, as well as to block and trap any foreign Navy which tries to enter the Gulf.
    • Air Force doctrine: Arguably the most advanced of all military branches, Iran saw aerial superiority as the key to control the battlefield. The Air Force's budget has been expanded greatly from its humble beginnings; even surpassing the Army at some point. Iran mainly uses German aircrafts in its military, but has increasingly invested into its domestic aircraft industry - introducing the first Iranian fighter in 1951. The Air Force's role is to mainly carry out fighting and bombing missions, in addition to support Army movement on the ground.
    • Summary:
      • The Iranian territory is the territory of the Persian homeland. No single piece of it can be lost.
      • There is little strategic depth to our line of battle. Industrial centers and oil fields lie close to the border.
      • The battle must be moved into enemy territory as soon as possible - by a combination of rapid mobilization, superior firepower, and sudden attacks.
      • The availability of significant deterrences - such as missiles, rockets, and nuclear weapons - are of paramount importance.
      • Pre-emptive strikes are the best defense.
      • Any offensive operations shall be focused on regaining the territory of the Persian peoples (i.e. of a Persian ethnic group). Defensive strategy will take place in stead of the former.
      • Turkestan is the foremost defense between Iran and the Soviet menaces in the north. A strong Turkerstan is essential to Iranian sovereignity.
      • Any war shall be finished decisively as soon as possible.
History: The aftermath of the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran in 1941 was massive unrest and resentment towards the British and Soviet troops. Despite having been installed by the British, the new Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, had deep reservations about British control that gripped Persia at that time. As a result, Reza Pahlavi allowed opposition groups, including a popular politician named Mohammad Mosaddegh, to protest the growing British control over Persian state apparatus with little oversight. This greatly irritated the British, who imposed even harsher cracrkdowns on Persian society, and even threatened to replace Reza Pahlavi with a Qajarite on the throne.

Nazi Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union, against all doubts, proved to be swift and efficient. By the time German troops took Moscow, the Red Army had already scrambled and scattered to the corners of the Soviet Union, retreating and rebuilding. Nazi sympathizers in Iran, including Davud Monshizadeh, a Persian officer who served in the SS, began formenting rebellion against British authority. Protestors, and later on armed insurgents, led by Mosaddegh, began openly challenging British rule and forming political organizations aimed in overthrowing British authorities. The final straw came when the Royal Army gunned down several protesters in the city of Khorramabad, in response to a municipal building being converted to an Army depot. As rebellion sparked across the country, Reza Pahlavi called for the British and Soviets to vacate Iran, or risk open war. When both refused, Reza Pahlavi had the Iranian Army, now composed of veterans instead of new recruits (as in the Iranian Army before British invasion), attack British garrisons across the country. Open revolt against the British proved too hard to contain - in the words of the German ambassador: "The British and the Russians were chased away by rabbles of townsfolk, with each and every city hostile to them, forcing them to march back to the Caucasus or jump into the sea."

The loss of Iran meant that Red Army battalions in the Volga and Central Asia were unable to receive supplies. A decisive German victory in Stalingrad brought them in control of the whole Volga basin - within weeks, the Caucasus fell to Nazi Germany. The Soviet Union's swift collapse ensured that no threat remained north of Iran. Reza Pahlavi, after the British left, appointed Mohammad Mosaddegh as Sadrazam (Prime Minister). Mosaddegh began consolidating his party and, in a surprise turn of events, turned against the democracy his party campaigned so far - outlawing the Tudeh Party and every other Communist organizations in the country. From 1943 to 1945, Mosaddegh's government launched a series of purges that not only targeted communists, but also social democrats, liberals, and even ethnic minority organizations - denouncing them as "enemies of the people" and "traitors to socialism and the homeland". The fascist SUMKA party was disbanded, with many of its members joining National Front in the aftermath.

Germany's successful conquest of the Caucasus was well met in Iran, which saw them as a better alternative than the Soviet Union. In 1944, Germany and Iran signed a treaty of friendship - that allowed Germany to use Iranian railways and connect to Iranian ports on the Persian Gulf (such as Bandar Abbas). Iran also began developing their own armored vehicles with German help, as well as importing German tanks and trucks. Iran is a major producer of petroleum, and oil fields nationalized from British companies gave an even greater supply of petroleum - which were sold to the Germans. Iran invaded Iraq in late 1944, claiming that the military operation was a continuation of the "Anglo-Soviet-Persian War" and managed to wrestle Kurdistan away, annexing them as a province of Iran in 1945. Iraq subsequently fell under Axis influence as the old regime, led by Rashid Ali al-Gaylani, settled back to the country with Iranian and German help. On this year also the renowned Palestinian mufti Amin al-Husseini, an Arab nationalist, settled in Tehran under the invitation of Mohammad Mosaddegh. Iranian troops corssed over to French Syria in 1946, annexing Syrian Kurdistan with little trouble - Iranian soldiers being welcomed by Kurds as they arrive.

As the Shah began to settle back from political power, Mosaddegh slowly consolidated Iran into an one-party state under National Front dictatorship. Long removed from their socialist and democratic past, the party is now a proponent of Pan-Iranian nationalism, embracing Kurds, Lurs, even Pashtuns and Balochs as well into their ranks. They implemented a policy of state capitalism; encouraging private sector development while also retaining many key industries on the hands of the state. Iran continued to modernize with the help of Germany, and later, the United States. While maintaing a close relationship with Germany, they are officially neutral - and investments from the United States are welcomed. Oil fields doubled and tripled, more roads and railways were bulit, and heavy industry began to take root on Iran's major cities. The Perso-Arabic Nastaliq script was replaced by a modified version of Latin script, which has been used to write Kurdish before. This helped to increase literacy rate and education in the country. Iran supported the independence of India from Britain in 1947, and became one of the first countries to recognize the new state.

With the collapse of the Soviet Union, warlords took over the Socialist Republics of Central Asia and began launching attacks on one another - including incursions into Iran. The Iranian government, worried about the anarchy happening just outside their border, sponsored a group of Kemalist officers (that has been exiled from the Ottoman Empire) to overthrow a local warlord in Ashgabat with support of the Iranian Army. From 1947 to 1951, Iran supported the establishment of Turkestan - a Pan-Turkic state heavily influenced by the Kemalist ideology of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk that sought to unite the Turkic nations of Central Asia. With the conquest of Uzbekistan, the new Turkestan Republic was founded on 1952; however significant help from Iran is needed to unify and defend the country from attacks by the rump Soviet states further north.

While there are many parts of your app I like, I want some changes made:

    1) Correct typos, for examples with regards to the population and the economy. For example, I assume population you meant 40 million instead of billion? The whole of Siberia has in RL about 33 million people, so a somewhat lower number would be better. Your economy should also be lower.
    2) Would you mind moving your claims to Northern Siberia? You can keep Kamchatka Peninsula and have Sakha and most of Siberia north of those claims.

Thanks for your understanding and once those changes have been made, you will be welcomed in the RP. :)

    OK. Big Announcements:

    1) A remind that IC thread will be posted 3/9. While you can still join after that date and the OOC thread will not close, it would be a good idea to speed up your apps or correct them.
    2) You have a week to complete your app after your reservation has been officially accepted, so if you have not completed your app, look at the date your reservation was accepted to ensure that you aren't surprised. Unless you reserved a Great Power, you are free to extend you reservation by simply stating so in the thread.

I will annex Sudan and South Sudan.

Hopal, would you be OK with Egypt annexing Sudan? It would create an interesting dynamic between the two countries and create some conflict. Maybe you can try to regain control of Sudan IC. :)

Looks pretty good but I cannot accept it without a history section. Write a paragraph (or more) of history, and it will be accepted. :)

How about Egypt has de facto control over Sudan going into this RP while Sudan is still de jure controlled by both Egypt and the UK going into the IC. Maybe Egypt announces that they're officially annexing Sudan early on in the IC, and the UK government has to scramble to respond, maybe this becomes the first major crisis for the British government in the IC.

    Oh no.

Not in South Rhodesia too. Are you going to go about declaring your independence too?

We might have to really rely on our closer relationship with the Greater German Reich.
