WELCOME TO...
KUMSWALO, ZAMBOODLE!!!!!

YOU THOUGHT WE WERE GONE... WE WERE JUST PARTYING WITH YOUR MOM.

Image

Here in Kumswalo, you may enjoy the heart of cosmopolitan Zamboodlese culture. Get your mind blown at our red light districts with absolutely ZERO (0) intervention from those stupid pesky Carytonic missionaries! Here, you can party all night and enjoy the soul of Zamboodle. There is plenty of rum to go around, but for your health you should not under any circumstance drink dae water, or you will get a case of dysencary (novel "sheet-blood".). You can enjoy the experience of paying tribute to warlords if you want to keep your hands, but you won't need your hands if you seek a fun time at one of our many "hotels", where there's always a friend to be found.

We offer a simple venue, focusing on improvisation and theatrics...

Image

Security is not an issue... here in Zamboodle, "Dae General" will protect you.

Image

We've got postcards and scoreboards covered...

Image

So come to Kumswalo and enjoy the fun side of WorldVision... or else...

OFFICIAL BID FOR WorldVision Song Contest 93 | MARINA POINT, NEKONI
Image
Bienvenue à tous...faisons le encore!

The night. A vast black sea of nothing. Our ancestors used to be scared of it, afraid that when it came, they wouldn't be able to see the incoming jaguar about to rip their face off. Night is a misunderstood creature. It's not a thing to be feared or worried about. In fact, it's the time when Nekoni wakes up. Whilst the picturesque beachfronts of the Second City of Nekoni are a sight to behold in the day, they become phenomenal at night, all swept up in a mass of vibrant neon straight out of the 1980s. What better place, then, for a return to old faithful again, to host the Worldvision for Nekoni's victory lap? Because after all, in Nekoni: We Are The Night.

We've been to Nekoni twice before in the contest. Our first foray was in the nation's capital in '64. Today, though, the entry comes from its second city, Marina Point. You loved it last time at WorldVision 80, but for those who haven't seen it for themselves, why is Marina Point the jewel in the crown of our country?

THE CITY
Image

1.2 million Nekonians can't be wrong. Our second-largest city, Marina Point, to excuse the wordplay, marks the very point where the new and the old meet. Running along the Canera sea to the country's northwest, Point Marine (as the locals call it) is home to two very distinct sides. The old town, nestled right in the centre of the city, is a cultural labyrinth, with its miles of cobbled streets hiding delicious food, craft stores and art houses wherever you may roam. The area was first designated as an area of cultural significance in 1986, and as part of a decades-long program to acknowledge its cultural heritage, it was fully pedestrianised in 2009 (to counteract the pollution that the once-standing motor racing circuit created just out of town), and with the weather seemingly being that much nicer on the coast, one could be forgiven for taking a quick stroll and accidentally making an entire day out of it.

The main city surrounding it, however, is as modern as they come. As a thriving port city for so many centuries, Mariners have been able to spend their wages on a massive array of amenities, especially along the star of the show: La Grande Plage - a 3-and-a-half kilometre stretch of pure white sandy beach along the sea. Whether your thing is a family attraction, an extreme-sport adventure, a party hotspot or an oasis of pure relaxation, you can be sure that there's some part of the beach just made for you. In fact, every year, conveniently when the WorldVision typically rolls around, there is the week long beachfront festival, Party Sur La Plage. Of course, in modern times, the beach has been waiting for a party for over a year, so they're more than willing to bring the event forward, and show the world just what it can do, one more time.

In fact, the area itself along the waterfront is absolutely the 1980s in a nutshell. As you drive along the Canera Expressway, taking in the city's first glimpses of the peaches and pinks of its beachfront cafés and hotels, it's hard to think you've entered through a wormhole and arrived in Miami Vice. The subcultures around the streets are as diverse and vibrant as they were back in the day, with street skaters, breakdancers and surfers all making this place their home to ply their crafts. And, of course, once the night falls, out comes the real Marina Point. A paradise of neon out in the summer heat, with vibrant nightclubs, bumping music, all out on the streets and everywhere you look. There are parts of the beach along the Prime Boardwalk that never see the sun set, with the cute decor of the strip in the daylight being replaced by a grand spectacle of sights, smells, and everything in between. Wanna quadbike the beach to thumping techno with a BBQ shrimp skewer in one hand? You can do that here, and that's barely scratching the surface.

THE ARENA
As before, we head to the second city's premier arena, the NEXPRO Arena. Until 2016, it was the home of Nekonian motorsport, with its International Circuit greeting the global sporting elite, but now, Canera City Studios takes its place. The internationally renowned media metropolis is well known for providing world-class TV and film, but its greatest asset is the Arena. 19,000 strong, what it may lack in numbers compared to its contemporaries, it makes up for with ambition.

THE CONTEST
As we know running the WorldVision Song Contest before, the most important thing in staging is its simplicity. The idea is to give the performers the maximum potential to transform their entries into masterpieces, and why change a winning formula?

Image

The main stage follows this design, with a large, raised rectangular stage at the back, two walkways, and a front, smaller stage with a raised plinth in the centre. This front piece will be where the majority of the hosting shall take place, with the voting and winner's trophy ceremony taking the brunt of it, however it may also be used during the performance. As expected, the usual mod cons are catered for, such as fog, dry ice, fire holographical effects and so on. The main stage has a long, curved LED wall for participant use, and for displaying of the results during voting.

The big change here is that the central orchestra pit will now be filled with an audience. The extra 200 fans we can accomodate through that will be that much closer to the stage this time. The one criticism that we had in the last hosting was that the stage felt a little quiter than normal contests. That isn't the case here!

Image
Prospective appearance of scoreboard, using data from the final results of WorldVision 92, because of course we are.

And so, thus concludes our presentation. We hope you decide upon visiting Nekoni for the latest edition of the WorldVision Song Contest! We hope to have shown you that we can capture the magic of the contest again in our wonderful city, and as always, façonner l'avenir en Pointe Marine!

ATTHO'I!
ᨕᨁ ᨀᨑᨙᨅ?

After a consideration meeting between the Alezian Broadcasting Authority and the National Council of the Alezian Union, the ABA announced that they're interested on bidding for the 93rd Worldvision Song Contest.

(HEY) WHAT'S THE (BIG) IDEA?
Since the early of time, Alezians are known far and wide for its openness to foreign people, and their ability to perfect their mistakes in a beautiful way. Since Reunification, Alezians has matured to the point where internal immature political action are not needed, and it's time to gather the world to Alezia to tell them that "Hey, we're one now, and we're ready to show the world that we want to contribute in the best way we can"

THE CITY, ZAFIZAMARRAH

Image

The Metropolitan City of Zafizamarrah is the capital of North Alezia and the capital of the Alezian Union as a whole. Zafizamarrah houses the biggest economic, politic, and leisure center in the nation. With population of 3,484,922 (+ 4,281,920 in the outskirts of the Metropolis), it is the largest city in the Alezian Union.

Ever since the start of time, it looks like Zafizamarrah has been sought after by a lot of people, from Native Alezians, to Islamic Merchants, to British Colonial Settlers, to North Alezians, then to Alezians as a whole themselves.

Image

The city itself was divided into 15 boroughs and two industrial areas. Each borough gives you a characteristic of their own for you to visit and challenge yourself on finding each's unique character.

1. The Mukhlis Krasnayas: While the Southern parts of the region was still unfilled and undeveloped, You can check a massive blue spherical building in the Northern parts of the city. What is that? If you don't know yet, that's where our headquarters are located in! The ABASphere, explore the history of Alezian Television History. Actually scratch that, in the map you didn't saw anything, but the new University of Alezia has just completed recently. We just haven't updated the map yet ooc: I would, but my laptop would crash without an external fan... Also I lost the save file for this city :(. In the University you can watch as students achieve their best. Wanted to taste Alezian education? Get a laptop (or a book and a pen if you feel old-school) and enroll in one of our one-time classes, such as in Philosophy, History, Politics, and much more. You won't get a degree though :v

2. Hamaqaddah : Hamqadalah gives a glimpse of the outer parts of the city. Hamaqaddah is the place to explore about Alezia's history, where there's even the old hideout of Mukhlis Krasnaya Novogrody, planning his rebellion against what was then the Iliyan Dictatorship.

3. Hamimadza : Divided by the A-48, Hamimadza gives a rural sense to the Metropolitan City, being a farm produce supplier for the city. Visit the farmers market and enjoy what we have in store such as tomatoes and potatoes!

4. Nur-Salam, Qazaruddin, and Al Khalsalail: What is that? there's nothing there? Aw... You might be right, but you're also sadly incorrect! These three regions shows Alezian Developmental Architectural Style that was frequented in late 1980s to late 1990s. So, if you wanted to see architectural past, that place is your best bet!

5.Mazaqba - Hafarqazza: The only region that has territory in both the old and new city of Zafizamarrah. Here, the main attraction is the Alezian Tower of Progress, which might look like Tokyo Tower to some of you. It used to be AleziRadio's transmitter, but it was then changed to Alezian Ballpoint, yet in the same region! There you can enjoy your usual cosmic pin dinner, but better in quality!

6. Government Way: Feeling an urge to be smart and learn about how the politics and the government in the Alezian Union work? Well, Government Way is the place for you. In this island, every single political and governmental activity played out. And better, if you're lucky, you might be able to see the Alezian Parliament in action! (Although you must know that this parliament is so chill that you might yawn out of boredom, so remember to stock up on sleep!)

7. Isbaraqqi: Isbaraqqi is the Entertainment Centre of Alezia. There's a lot of things to do here, shop in the Mall of Alezia, visit the Meme Museum of Alezia (which would have a Worldvision Exhibit in the future), Great shopping mall and movie theatres, and many more!

8. Mittawaqul: Mittawaqul can be perceived as if Isbaraqqi and Hamimadza has a child. This region also has a lot of entertainment such as the best rated places, such as the best bookstore, the best restaurant, the best cafe, etc. And you can check more Urban Farming right here! Plus, Mittawaqul Maqzafi which was proposed to be the venue for the 83rd and 84th Worldvision now holds theatrical events every week! We recommend "Here Comes The Nut" (full name is "Here Comes The Nut, He-e-ere Comes The Nut, The Nut's Coming, He-e-ere Comes The Nut" which tells a story about a Chestnut finding it's way back home

9. Al Husama Dal Razak, Amlaka, Daranim, Nur Qamma: While it might look like simple patch of grassland, locals would usually come to these parts of the city to look at the city from above! Just pick your spot and gawk at how Zafi would show itself in the night!

10. Industrial Area 1 and 2: IA1 and 2 gives a lot of insight of how the Alezian Manufacturing and High-Tech Industry works. Watch as Alezian-made machinery created Alezian-made Consumer Electronics for example our own ARICOPlay! In IA2 especially you can visit the Metropolitan Airstrip which has the "Flight Museum of Alezia" which gives a glimpse on the history on how Alezians conquered the skies!

RECOMMENDED SPOTS!

THE VENUE, THE NATIONAL STADIUM

Image

Different from what we used to enter in our bids, this time we wanted to test out the big fish. The National Stadium is located at the center of the Metropolis, The National Stadium started construction in 1977, and stalled in 1985. Construction then restarted in 1989 and finally completed in 1993. The stadium can hold around 75,000 spectators, and has hosted various events before, with the biggest being the Alezian Reunification Ceremony.

For Worldvision, the 10,000 seats on the northern parts of the stadium would not be used due to it being closed by the stage and the LED screen. However, the 20,000 seats on the west and east parts (40,000) plus southern parts (10,000) and the 5000 seats southeastern and southwestern seats (10,000), added with the installment of 15,000 central seats, making the total to 75,000 seats available for this Worldvision should it be hosted in Zafizamarrah.

The stadium itself was prepared with a sliding roof which turns the open stadium into a closed roof stadium. For the duration of the event, the roof will be closed at all times in order to prevent rain water (if it happened) from falling into the stadium while the competition progresses.

For the green room, there's a possible seating for 50 countries' delegations, as each group from A-J has seating for five countries.

THE STAGE

Image
ooc: (I know I should've added the stadium or something because no, we're not holding this competition in a middle of nowhere, I just got too lazy with making the other surroundngs oof)

Inspired by the principle of "Perfect Imperfections", The Alezians decided to design a stage that might make people think of Origami folding, which they also symbolize as the start of something phenomenal, in origami, it's maybe a bird. In Worldvision, it's a winning song. Performers are given an option between using the triangle stage, the inner circle stage, or the outer circle stage that is connected by two catwalks.

The Alezians intended for the international users to be creative with their way of using the abundance of cameras prepared around the stage. Two steadicams, Cameras on the ground, One short-view Aerial camera, and one long-view Aerial camera.

The floor itself can be used as an LED screen, using it to mesmerize the viewers. Want to make them more mesmerized? Thanks to ARICO, visual effects can't be more realistic! Butterflies, artificial fire, water, smoke, fireworks? You name it? We got it!

And you wonder, why would you need the triangle on the wall thingy when you already got a huge LED screen? The answer is that if you wanted to play numerous videos at once, you can use that. You can also just join all screens together into its full screen capability. If you ask us, we think it would be cute if each "shard" that we prepared be used for different aspects of the song.

LOGO AND IDENTITY
Image

The reunification of Alezia made Native Alezian culture enjoying a resurface. Thus the Worldvision Bidding Team would like to emphasize on appreciation on both Native Alezian and Buginese cultures, because there's no doubt that thanks to the Buginese assisting in building Oldport located kilometers away from Metropolitan Zafizamarrah, Zafizamarrah grew to enjoy a strong trade port status, even to this day.

The logo retouched previous North Alezian bids of black and white, representing modernism and simplicity. The logo consisted of big and small squares shaping a large diamond. This represented two Native Alezian principles of "Perfect Imperfections" (A teaching that various mistakes would eventually grow into something beautiful, thus telling Alezians to not be scared to make mistakes and fix it afterwards), and "Acceptance" (A teaching that Alezians are destined to be the people who accepts and forgives people around the world as long as it's not due to an act of crime).

In the Buginese part of the culture, the logo continued tradition of being made of squares and straight lines which becomes the base for what people nowadays know as Lontara.

In the Native Alezian part of the culture, the logo represents the aforementioned principles and the logo resembled a necklace that Vice-Chief of Native Alezian Communities (usually women) would wear.

Naturally, the four large diamonds on the center represents the four regions of the Alezian Union, assembled in such way representing reunification and equality for all Alezians and all people around the world.

POSTCARDS

Since the theme of this edition (should we win) is togetherness in difference, the postcard would include two or more people enjoying things together. Then, the postcard would enter the nation's name, the entry's title and it's singer, added with the nation name translated to Alezian Buginese (which might be assembled differently than the ones in South Sulawesi.)

SCOREBOARD

In Worldvision, it feels li- wait, a scoreboard IS a must. But there might be so many countries that we can't fill them all in? Who knows? We'll try and adapt. BUT! No matter the amount of countries, the design is going to be a "two-paged" thing. Where when a country is called, the information of the person and the first 8 votes is cast first, then we move to the next page where you can see the scoreboard! The design is once again based on simplicity and friendliness.

THE TROPHY

Image

Ah, designed by Dave Vrouten and Margaret Ilsnayan, a South Alezian and a Mosin-Naganer. The trophy is made from crystal extracted straight from Oost-Brenaven, South Alezia (see? Everyone got involved in this!). And this will be given to the winning artist and winning composer of the competition. Later on, the winning nation's name in Lontara will be quickly laserjetted into the trophy thanks to our technology making us capable of doing quick things like that!

THE HOSTS
Imara Syafani, Andi Robi Idris Novogrody, Andi Ainii Irqimaza Novogrody

Image
(yes I recycled this pic from my old bid)

We've tried putting these three as hosts twice, now we're going to do it again. Two of them FINALLY have an experience in WV (Imara sung the North Alezian debut entry in WV 82 in Tiferet, Ertzei Kishim, Robi composed two of the songs for North Alezia in Worldvision which all earned top 10) while Ainii only participated in WHF, but she is a well known artist in the Alezian Union and she's known for presenting a lot of events.

QUICK MANNERS LESSON!

If somehow Zafizamarrah got selected to host, we got a quick crash course for you to make sure you're ready to stay in Alezia for a few weeks!

1. If you're entering an Alezian house, make sure you knew first (by looking at the sign or asking the owner of the house) whether to take off or keep wearing your shoes inside the house. Thanks to the culture clash between Asians and Europeans, this remained as one of the biggest debates in the Alezian Union dubbed "The Alezian Question".

2. It is rude to argue in public (probably apply everywhere else but Alezians really don't like it). If you need to argue, quickly find an alley to argue in.

3. Alezians can be sensitive over the topic of the old South Alezian and North Alezian dictatorship. You may talk about it to an Alezian, but please be careful. (Do joke about the old barbie dolls and the oranges and the crayons, though. They'll laugh in irony.) Also AVOID in ANY WAY talking about anything that relates to Military Conscription (the last time they did that, it was terrible). That is considered as the Alezian Universal Trigger Word and the worst taboo in the Alezian Union. Talking about the military is okay I mean, South is a soldier in Countryvision, but not with the term of Conscription.

4. Don't talk in the train unless if it's urgent or if you got called on the telephone. When you got contacted, answer quickly and say "I can't talk right now, I'm in the Metro". And answer when you've arrived at the destination.

5. Alezians would appreciate it more if you use your right hand to eat or to hold your utensils with. Left hand is fine, but right hand wins respect. Alezians also enter a room with their right leg first before the left and doing the vice versa while exiting.

FINAL WORDS

After reading our bid, we hope that you would be interested in selecting our bid for the hosting rights of the Worldvision Song Contest. We might host for the first time, and we might make mistakes, however, we won't let those mistake turn into disasters, but turn it into perfection.

Thank you for reading this bid, and we hope you have a good day.

ALEZIAN BROADCASTING AUTHORITY

OOC NOTES:
Hi everyone, Lez here.
I know, I said in Discord that I won't bid until I enter Uni, but I feel this itch about me being ready for it, but not going for it.
I feel like the schedules for WV is flexible enough that it won't disrupt my IRL life.

ANYWAY, I'll be using the Soft Deadline if I somehow got the chance to host. And I'll probably be more active in the Asia-Pacific part of the community, since I'll be sleeping while y'all be listening and posting. So there's that.

Okay I think that's all!
Please consider my bid!
Thank you everyone!
