Firstly, welcome to the region!

And secondly, I've looked over a lot of your factbooks and what you have so far is absolutely fantastic, you'll fit right in with the more democratic blocs of the region (gotta love nations with a strong Judicial branch). If you haven't already, I'd recommend telegramming Ainslie with a request to join our map so you can start RPing! Once you get on, feel free to introduce your leaders or any other important figures in character here, in the International District.

Also, just so you know, TWI doesn't use the in-game issues or statistics to influence our countries. Feel free to take inspiration from them, but if you want to you can completely ignore them and take your nation in your own direction!

Hello everyone, I'm planning to create a socialist country that will be an enemy of capitalist powers in the region. My country will be a bit underdeveloped though and ripe for guerilla warfare which I plan to roleplay through numerous wars and conflicts on my territory.

I'm looking for a capitalist nation that will be willing to stand against my socialist one and to eventually even lead an invasion and a lengthy guerilla Vietnam-styled war mixed with humanitarian catastrophies. I'm not good at RP so don't expect much.

Hello! I've been on NS on and off for many years and had quite a few nations, with the oldest still-alive one being Altion and the one I've done the most work on so far being The Vessels Resurgent. However, neither of these are that active anymore (I might still work on TVR very occasionally when the mood strikes, but for all intents and purposes it's a 'shelved' nation).

My idea for this country is one that I've been slowly worldbuilding in my head for a while. An empire in a great desert with an abundance of large oases that arose from a league of city-states sometime in Late Antiquity, presenting itself as the successor of a previous empire that had collapsed, in much the same way the HRE claimed to continue the legacy of Rome.

Currently, the empire is in a somewhat similar position to China in the early 20th century, trying to balance a slow and painful modernisation with its ancient traditions. In addition, it also struggles with two ethnic rebellions; a low-intensity, 'simmering' conflict in the former Tsubic League, another city-state coalition inhabited by the Tsub people, and a much more intense and bitter war in the coastal region of Georgeland, which was a former British colony that was 'won' from Mbokeando by the colonists after their leader beat the best warrior the local Mbokandan representative could muster in ritual combat.

It was then a Dominion until the 1970s, when it was granted full independence and conquered by Mbokeando shortly after, as the emperor at the time was deeply unpopular and sought to placate the extremely powerful hyperconservative and nationalist factions by righting what was viewed as a deep scar on the dynasty's pride; which spectacularly backfired as he began the longest war in the over one thousand year history of Mbokeando, and in the 200-year history of his own dynasty, which ended with his death in mysterious circumstances and a bloodless takeover by the current dynasty, who had been stopped just short of taking the throne 200 years prior and saw an opportunity for revenge. Militarily, the Navy is extremely underfunded and underdeveloped, the Army is large and the oldest, although most troops are poorly-trained conscripts and the Air Force is the main strength, due to the clear skies and flat terrain of the desert environment and an abundance of barely-tapped metals and oil to draw from.

I don't have any specific preferences RP-wise, although I'd like to do one focusing on the Georgeland War or the Tsubic Troubles once I've got more experience.
