Background:
Backstory: Gaku Hung Yamamoto was born on January 4th 1975 in New Cottington to his parents. Virgil Yamamoto and Mai Nguyen. His father Virgil was born in 1948 in New Cottington to Gakuto Yamamoto, a second-generation Japanese-American, and Aiko Yamamoto(nee Nakamura). Gakuto was born in 1926 in Los Angeles to Japanese immigrants Akira Yamamoto and Sakura Yamamoto(nee Suzuki), and was raised in the district of Little Tokyo, until in 1942 at the age of 17 he and his family were forcibly relocated to Manzanar internment camp as part of the internment of Japanese Americans. It was during the following year that Gakuto met his future wife Aiko, and when he decided to serve in the US Army, and prove himself the patriotic American that others didn't believe him and his fellows could be. In 1943 he enlisted and was sent to Italy as part of the 100th Infantry Battalion, and later moved to the 442nd Infantry Regiment, where along with his fellow comrades he fought through Italy. In 1945, he along with others travelled North through the Rhone Valley to Germany as part of the 522nd Field Artillery Battalion, which on the 29th April discovered Kaufering IV concentration camp, a subcamp of Dachau, and later on the 2nd May encountered inmates on a death march eastwards towards Waakirchen. These experiences would stay with Gakuto for a long time. He would return to the US later in 1945, where early 1946 he married his long-time sweetheart Aiko Nakamura, whom he had kept contact with through letters during his service. Two years later they had their first child Virgil(named after Virgil R. Miller, Regimental Commander of the 442nd Regiment). Virgil was born and raised in New Cottington, where his parents had moved after marrying, and grew up in the shadow of his father's military service, which continued when he reenlisted to serve in the Korean War. Virgil worked towards a military career and was a cadet at high school. He enlisted in the US Army in 1967, and was sent to fight in Vietnam. It was there that he met a young Vietnamese woman named Nguyen Mai, who he developed a relationship with and who eventually became his wife. He stayed and fought in Vietnam for six years until the withdrawal of US forces, when he returned to the United States with Mai, whom he'd married two years previously. They had their first child nearly two years later, and named him Gaku after Douglas' father Gakuto. Gaku also followed the footsteps of his father and grandfather into military, joining in 1993 at 18 as a Marine and fighting in the Yugoslav Wars and the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, before being honourably discharged and returning to New Cottington and his family, where he became a police officer in the NCPD and makes use of his military skills.

Standing at about 5'10, Elizah has long black hair she usually wears into a ponytail, or a messy bun if she's busy, and a tanned medium almond skin tone. She has pale blue eyes and is usually very sparing with makeup. She hides a scar snaking up her wrist with a pair of leather gloves.

Personal Effects: Despite having a jacket to match her suit, she wears an old and cared for leather jacket intermittently to work. She also has affixed a small flower pendant to her service pistol. As to its practicality, or if it's even allowed in the department, it doesn't stop her from attaching it anyways.

She was young and already well known for causing trouble when her mother died in a drunken accident that left their family considerably broken. Stricken with grief, her father decided to leave France for his home country in what would most accurately be described as "running away from his problems", and she was mostly along for the ride.

Determined not to settle down for long, they moved from town to town just long enough for her to finish her education, all the while she learned to depend on herself and to rely on her own developed code of conduct. When it finally came to decide her future, she decided not to follow most of her peers and decided to pursue police and detective work.

Whether this was because of suppressed feelings following her mother's death, to spite her father for never settling down and wanting to find a place for herself, a simple curiosity and interest in the field, or a combination of the three, she doesn't know. But she'll be damned if she's not dedicated to it, even despite the occasional fight and dispute with her colleagues. After a few moves from city to city, department to department, and handling a couple of cases, she finally came to NCPD as an investigative detective and analyst.

Should I just write that I’m doing that, and then wait for more information from Dyelli, or am I free to take some liberties with their portrayal? I'd guess this is closer to a "player" and "gamemaster" relationship, in that I shouldn't make assumptions about very much of the world, but if I'm wrong please let me know. Also, finished my post.

Personal Effects: Has a younger brother and a older sister. Owns a bow and occasionally preaches how it's "the REAL way to hunt" with a few of his mates as a sort of joke that he somewhat believes. He also always wears his dad's ties (unless it needs to be washed) which includes an ugly mustard yellow tie with blue polka dots that was his dad's favorite. Owns a smith & Wesson model 460xvr type revolver that his dad owned because he thought that the department issued gun wasn’t to his liking. His father was a small town cop who moved into the NCPD t get away from the controversy of his wife cheating on him.

His dad was a police officer, and when his dad died on duty when Alec was 17, he decided to follow in his dad's footsteps. He is a polite and charming guy, generally always in a good mood. He is single at the moment, due to his dedication to his work and aloofness around women. His first case was the murder of a young girl, to which he vowed to himself to try to stop anything bad from ever happening to his niece and nephews. this of course is a fools game and he realised it, though he still does his best to help out his sister’s family.

Oh yeah. That would be just fine in a place that's supposed to be like New York.

That is, if any restaurant owners in New York are still left because of how much that failing state has driven people out, with promoting violence, forbidding people to work, and all out corruption.

6 feet tall, 185 pounds. Muscular build, red hair, blue eyes. Scruffy beard. Often looks like he hasn't slept in days.

Personal Effects: Aside from his Police issued firearm, Michael often carries a Chiappa Rhino 50ds (.357 magnum), preferring to use the intimidating bulk of the revolver to stop confrontations before he has to pull the trigger. Besides weaponry Michael wears his father's Citizen watch that was gifted to him by his mother.

Background:

Growing up in New Coddington taught Michael the value of a lowered head and a fast pace, as well as the utility of a strong right hook. Born to a NCPD Police officer and secretary, Michael grew up without many luxuries and no coddling whatsoever. Michael spent a lot of time on the streets, and being the son of a police officer did him no favors with the local boys, who regularly picked fights with him. Enough times beaten into the dirt by gangs of young boys such as himself motivated him to hit the gym and the boxing ring. Michael spent much of his young life exercising and training in hand-to-hand combat, which quickly ended his abuse after he punched the lights out of several other boys.

However other boys weren't the only ones who beat Michael as a child and young man. His father, a career cop, developed a drinking problem after 20+ years in a horrendously corrupt police force, and began to take out his frustrations on Michael and his mother. As a result of the near constant abuse, Michael is a very hard, emotionally detached man. However, this doesn't make Michael heartless, he has been known to show moments of compassion, especially to the downtrodden and impoverished.

When Michael turned 18, he had few opportunities. But he did have a career police officer as a father, and used that to get into the police academy 3 years before he should've been able to, where he performed admirably, graduating 5th in his class.

Just as Michael graduated from the Academy, his father's rampant alcoholism was his demise, and his father passed away due to liver failure. Michael and his mother are still very close, and Michael wears his father's watch as a token of sentiment, in spite of his father's abusive tendencies.

Backstory: Michael served as a regular officer for 3 years, from the age of 19 to 22. In this time he performed very well, being involved in a variety of active shooter situations, homicide investigations, and vice investigations. In all of these scenarios Michael's cool head and emotional reservedness kept him both sane and calm under pressure, allowing him to be of critical assistance to investigations. While a regular officer, Michael took note of the rampant corruption present in the NCPD, and wanted to get out of the degeneracy of the rank and file. He applied for and passed the test to become a detective, and has served as a detective for a little under a year.
