On the one hand, I absolutely abhor the base game. It's my least favorite Paradox game (that I've played); the UI is ugly, the gameplay is boring and uninteresting, the timeline is a slog, and it plays more like a glorified RPG than a GSG.
On the other hand, I can't get enough of playing fantasy mods for it. Elder Kings comes to mind first and foremost, but there's also a Fire Emblem mod (that's sadly unfinished) that I've recently installed as well as the ATLA mod. I love playing these, but hate the actual base game itself. Is anyone else like this with any other games?
