The Electrum Olympic Committee (EOC) would like to open up requests for sponsorship for the Games of the XV Olympiad, which will be hosted in Electrum's eastern coastline, the Terranean Coast / Bunjil area. To make sure the games are financially sustainable, the EOC is wanting to supplement revenues from the international broadcast of the Olympics with sponsorship opportunities for the multiverse's most esteemed corporations and businesses.

With the demand for sponsorship expected to be high, the EOC is looking for high-quality, targeted sponsorship opportunities. In your applications, we want you to demonstrate how your business achieves the goals of the Olympic movement such as healthy living, environmental sustainability, gender equality and inclusion, and the spirit of fair play. What you will receive in return for sponsoring us is for your business logo to be prominently displayed at all Olympic events, and a great opportunity to entertain your clients with the best seats watching the multiverse's best athletes.

THE BRIEF
The Electrum Olympic Council, the hosts of the 15th Summer Olympics, is looking for sponsors. The deadline for all sponsorship requests will be 07:00 UTC 28 July 2021 (one and a half weeks from when this thread is posted). This thread is intended to be a fun way to world build and give additional roleplay opportunities for the NationStates Olympics.

Please use the following application form below if you wish to enter a sponsorship bid. You can submit as many sponsorship bids as you want, but there will be a maximum of two companies per nation accepted. You must not use a real life company -- only companies created for NationStates allowed, and companies already on GE+T are highly desired (though you can just create one on the fly for this thread if you want!). When bidding, you also need to nominate a category - examples include restaurant, pet food company, car manufacturer, etc. If there are multiple people bidding for the same category, then unfortunately I can only choose one winner.

Remember: we're looking for high quality sponsors, so make sure your bids has a cool logo and has some great flavour text (especially if there's a cover letter)! That's all I'm looking for. However, we are not looking for sponsors for official airline and official video game company since we already have them.

I am writing to you on behalf of Leidangr Dock Company, Darmen's preeminent shipbuilder and ship repairer, concerning the possibility of securing for our company the position of Official Shipbuilder/Ship Repairer of the Games of the XV Olympiad. The Olympics are a storied tradition of the multiversal sporting community and an important event in the wider international cultural fabric; in particular the Summer Olympics has the ability to capture the attention and imagination of millions of fans and aspiring athletes. It would be an honor for our company to play a role in this magnificent event.

The origins of the Leidangr Dock Company can be traced all the way back to the 12th century and the establishment of the kingdom of Darmen. The Darmennthing Law, Darmen's proto-constitution and an influence on Darmeni law even today, established a system of a maritime militia along Darmen's coast, known as the Leidangr. Along the coast were organized a series of Skipreiða, or ship districts, with each skipreiða being responsible for building and manning a ship for the purpose of coastal defense and trade. Over time, the responsibility of coastal defense was transferred to the Navy and private companies begin to assume control over Darmen's maritime trade activities, while the skipreiða were eventually abolished and replaced with new types of local governance.

But the tradition of the Leidangr did not die out with these changes to Darmeni society. In 1707, our company's Fourteen Founders, leaders of various skipreiða on the island of Tilden (at that time spelled Tylden), came together to form the Leidangr Dock Company. They immediately won a contract to build warships for the Darmeni Navy, providing employment to the island's residents and a prosperity to its economy. Over time, the Leidangr Dock Company has expanded its operations: in addition to its Tilden location, the company also has operations in Scott City and Newport, Esportivan Darmen; the company also now builds non-military ships and conducts repair operations for both Darmeni and foreign shipping.

I'd have included the logo in this letter as an image, not just as a link, but got a "dimensions could not be determined" error message: On the IC level, it would be there, in the top left.
The IC version of this would include the date on which it was sent, as well, but OOC events over the last two years have "broken" the relationship between the Ursine & Gregorian calendars, and I haven't yet worked out what the relevant Ursine date for this should be.

Yes, I do realize OOC that the organizers of these Games choosing an "official beer" is almost certainly zero, but the Bears IC do not see that. Let them down gently, please...
