War in the Philippines

The Awesome Confederation had always owned the Philippines. Ever since they wrested it from Xenicks hands while there was it was in the grips of the insurgencies, the government had been eager too win it back. Ready to pay for it in blood.

After the war of 2030, an invasion of the Phillips was fully legitimate, after the AC rejected the peace treaty. With that, Xenickese, South Olpenese, and Henna Kesselian troops began lining the coast, ready to take on the Philippines. 200,000 Xenickese supply and combat soldiers were gathering at port cities in Malaysia, ready to take out the enemy positions. Before the initial landings, cruise missiles fired at anything of use for military purposes, striking military bases and ports.

[Laka Strolistandiler]

Before the landing, Lakan frontline planes arrive, beginning to perform standard tasks like CAP and SEAD. Some SEAR helicopters are present, in case things go south, however, hopefully this won’t be the case. Manfred and his squadron is also present, performing grinder defensive maneuvers, awaiting for the enemy planes to arrive.
More detailed post later if needed.

Olpenese commanders, seeing the Xenickese advance, begin moving up in unison. 7 attack drones pummel Imperium soldiers before an advance is made. Choppers fly behind Imperium troops and unload their volley of rockets. The SSD announce that they have implanted spies in the army in a "poorly encoded telegram". The actual use of this so called blunder was to get them to cull big command, thinking they were paid off, all actual information is sent to every nation fighting for Xenick.

Kudat, 3 PM
There were thousands of men massing at this dock. It was a sea of green helmets, suits, and a little sliver of brown bodies underneath them. As they begin embarking on LS and Cargo ships lined up in a neat little row, Commander of the assault, Maria Parrazo sits up on her tower. She would like to lead from the front, but the common consensus was that she would stay behind until a foothold is secured. She watched the first ship take off and leave port. It was an Argo LST, purchased from a prestigious foreign arms manufacturer. Inside the Argos were highly powerful Warg tanks. These things, upon reading their description and in depth overviews, was convinced that they would destroy the enemy. As more ships left, this time a horde of Amphibious landing craft, she recalled something important. In modern war, the singular most effective way to win, was to have better technology. It was like playing war, but with more cards then the opponent.

On an LST, the first one off from port Kudat, is a man with a large figure. He has the good fortune to pilot a Warg class MBT. If the operation to take the Philippines is successful, men like him will be the ones remembered, not the supply workers who in his opinion, were 10x more valuable. Nonetheless, him and his tank crew were boasting about how many tanks they would annihilate with their new toys.

The entire first wave consists of 10,000 men and 132 tanks. Not a massive amount, but the real game changers would be the constantly flying overhead helicopters that carried reinforcements to aid the fight. These helicopters flew a total of 1,300 men into the southermost island, where the battle would now begin.

[Pan-European State]

Phillipines Sea, 5PM

It was any Pan-European State soldier's dream, storming enemy beaches as special forces. Pleasantries aside, this was a pretty big mission for these soldiers. As they stood herded in these ships, they approach an empty beach; why you may ask? Simple, cutting through forests and farmland to wreak havoc on enemy combatants and supplies so the mainforce of invading troops could have an easier time inland.

Each European, about 200 for now until deemed safer to bring others, carry weapons from light machine guns to rpgs. The most noticeable feature of these soldiers are their mainly black uniforms and the small yellow stars on the left shoulder (for each year served).

It now was only a short while till they'd be cutting inland but only time would tell what would be the results.

Following the Pan Asian declaration of war, heavy bombing raids of Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, New Delhi, Hong Kong, and Hanoi. The attacks might not be successful, but they are valiant. Rockets are also being used on these targets. Troops leave the Philippines, and instead attempt to set up a base on Taiwan.

The P.A.S Type V-322F Jurōjin-Class Aircraft Carrier Incheon, which serves as the mobile F.O.B. of the Pan-Asiatic States Expeditionary Force to the Republic of the Philippines (PASEFRP) left the Port of Singapura (Federation of New Nusantara, Pan-Asiatic States) at approximately 0330 hours GMT+8 on July 19, 2021. Before leaving port, Commanding Officer Javier Catacutan of the General Staff was given the role of Field Marshal by Asian Military Command to organize the Pan-Asiatic States' Liberation of the Philippines dubbed [OPERATION LEVITICUS]. This was confirmed by the Secretary-General himself via secure communication, who authorized mobilizing the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces to FEDERAL MOBILIZATION PHASE 3 (FMP-3).

At approximately 0430 hours the P.A.S Incheon rendezvoused with escort elements of the People's Maritime Army on the approach to the island of Palawan. At 0500 hours, the PASEFRP, under the dark cover of early morning, violated the Awesome Confederation's claimed maritime sovereignty by entering into the South China Sea near the island of Coron.

Field Marshal Catacutan looked outward with his binoculars, setting his gaze on the beautiful Filipino skyline. He could smell the salt in the air, and hear the distant crashing of the waves. The gleaming stellar abyss seemed so quiet, a peaceful calm before the storm. Catacutan loved countryside visits. But the scene his eyes were feasting upon unfortunately did not belong to a country—or at least, one the so-called Awesome Confederation didn't recognize.

He closed his eyes for a moment, and imagined that the lit flare that had hitherto been lit by a crewman onboard was one of the boy scout's campfires he used to teach highschoolers how to light back at home before he joined the military. He imagined that his men were not the bold and daring soldiers he had been drafted with, but were his playful children back on the island of Panay. He thought to himself how delightful it would be to take them and his wife here, to watch the rising of the sun. If he got through this alive, he thought, he certainly would one of these days.

His fantasies were abruptly interrupted by the familiar sound of a spokesman for the Asian Communist Party, in a tone fitting for an ideological zealot, screaming his speech on the radio. Catacutan paid very little attention, all he heard were the words "imperialist", "colonialist", and "illegitimate state" from this spokesman repeated over and over again in a manner he had heard time and time again. It was only when he heard the words "declaration", and "war", that the reality began to fully set in. The time had come.

"Shut down that radio, crewman," Catacutan ordered, opting instead to make his own speech to the men.

"This war will be won—by one side or the other. The guns will rust. Grass will grow and there'll be nothing left of any of this. The land will heal itself as everything does in the end.

We'll be long gone by then—but maybe not forgotten.

History will not care about which side was right in the end, this war, despite everything, will not just be about liberating the Filipino people—my people—from the claws of colonial tyranny. Truth be told, given that we are the only ones fighting for the people of the Philippines in this war ... we may even lose. But that does not matter.

If history only remembers one in a thousand of us, then the future will be filled with stories of who we were and what we did. How we lived, how we fought, how we died... How we loved. They will remember that the Pan-Asiatic States' proud soldiers, even when they faced a coalition of titans, fought to the very end for what they believed in. For every man who falls today, ten thousand will replace him.

If you truly fight to serve the People, in the name of a great love for the people, then you will do everything in your power to defend them. This war is about protecting the unarmed millions behind us. This is about laying-down our lives for the powerless.

Thus, when this is all over and the war is won—They will remember us. They will remember our great love...

But until that day comes, we will stand, we will consummate our raging hatred of the invaders, we will look death in the eye—

The declaration of war was announced mere moments before the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces actually started their offensive operations. It was in effect, though not technically, a surprise attack. Regardless of the semantics of how the Pan-Asiatic States went to war, the island of Coron was woken in the morning with a barrage of relentless rocket-guided artillery fire targeting any and all military bases on the island. As submarines broke formation to scout in and around the area of operations for enemy warships, the Pan-Asiatic States Marines boarded their Landing Crafts (LCs) with Chengdu "Mighty Dragon" J-20s covering their approach. Intelligence indicated light resistance, but something felt off. Nothing was ever as easy as merely occupying an island...

30 miles off Mindanao, 11 PM
The LST Meridian was approaching shore, and tension was running high. As the black waves smashes against the side of the boat, it’s occupants were preparing to land. They wouldn’t be the first wave, as the 1st wave was the helicopter fleet long gone by, and the 10,000 infantry awaiting the LSTs arrival. Word was that the initial combat hadn’t gone well, with intel supposedly underestimating AA fire in the region. Combat still raged, and Xenickese soldiers hadn’t been able to break much ground. This was all on the mind of PFC José, who was the aforementioned large figure lucky and skilled enough to pilot a Warg. Silly name, and he takes pride in it.

As a countdown for the landing begins, José hears rattling booms from above the ship. What was left of the ACs air force was trying to stop heavy equipment from reaching the front line. F-16s and MIG 29s, both air superiority fighters, struggled to keep the LSTs afloat. Within minutes, José scrambled to the viewport on deck and witnessed the sky erupt in fiery streaks, which were doused in the cold ocean. Nevertheless, the landing ramps opened, and tanks rolled out. The armor was on the island. Not much after, AC forces began crumbling to guided munitions and artillery barrages.

Highly trained black ops agents land in unison with the Xenickese. Only a few are dropped at first, but their actions could lead a 5,000+ man invasion. They are all highly trained and specialized. They are explosive experts, incendiary experts, snipers, and about a hundred more seasoned black ops agents fall with them.

Somewhere in The Davao Region, 11PM

The doors to the boats fell down, the 200 soldiers trickled out swiftly. They unloaded all equipment and supplies before heading inland. Their first priority was damaging communications, agriculture and transportation before attempting anything bigger.

Finally, a massive farmland was found and they would quickly get to lighting the whole area on fire. However, they could of easily been spotted and as such only sent 10 troops to do so.

[The King Isle]

One cold night
its raining and is dark and suddenly Kingmen Kings battalion special troops storm an awesome confederation fort and successfully take it over swiftly and arrested all awesome confederation soliders in the base. The King Isle Herby offers some of its greatest men to Xenick to enforce Xenicks claim to the Philippines.

Today we have proclaimed our independence. This independence is real, complete and total. The Republic of the Philippines is to be run by Filipinos for Filipinos. This is true independence and freedom never before offered by any other people in the history of the world. It is very clear, that the role of the Philippines is one of collaboration with all member peoples benefit, under the leadership of the Pan-Asiatic States. Distribution, it goes without saying, will be fair and compensation always equitable, under the benevolent leadership and direction of the Pan-Asiatic States.

Though it will take several days, perhaps even a week, for any sort of offensive operation to even begin, MSPS agents will begin flying in to the Philippine colony from other countries to cross into the island of Mindanao, infiltrate enemy defenses, and ultimately create a base area from which a rebellion-theatre of war from the jungles of Bukidnon can arise.

Once the message is received by radio towers on ships, they immediately try to locate, and jam the signal. By then the signal has already began, and for some ended, but ultimately It abruptly stops, however this might be bad, as it is now clear that someone is trying to block independence of the islands.

A few Spies from the SSD begin warning the Xenickese and Olpenese forces. They don't know much, as the highest rank in the forces that have been implanted are Ltnts. but the warning can still help, if they are taken into consideration.

Gunfire raged on through the days as Xenickese soldiers fought on from the beachhead, paying in blood for territory gained, an armored front began solidifying, and the Awesome forces were being crushed between hammer and hammer. Their influence on the Philippines was waning, but a new player presented a real and scary threat. The Pan-Asiatic forces in the north were a force to be reckoned with, and to directly strike them would be suicidal, for now. A more subtle approach to fighting the occupation in Coron. Manuel Arracosta immediately signed an order intended to fund anti-communist elements in the northern islands, utilizing a variety of methods to transfer payments VIA electronics, speedboats, helicopter, and mules. The same applied for smuggling guns, explosives, and ammo. In more official measures, Manuel ordered the general in charge operations in the Philippines, General Parrazo to open further fronts on the island of Palawan. A quite narrow, but long island, it would have to be dealt with by a two front assault. However, that would come later, once another 10,000 soldiers were assembled in Borneo.

Though publicly this is just a publicity stunt to pretend that Meretica is still strong, privately this war is being used as a way to get revenge. The soldiers happily and readily accept these orders, ready to fight at any cost. Privately, the Queen has called each and every one of them and said that they will be receiving honors for their work.

Juan Hernandez, ambassador to the Pan-Asiatic States, had his orders. "You will go to Neo-Manilla. You will not be armed. You will inform them of the King's decision."

And now he had his chance to speak.

"I bring a message from King Paremahana Ignon. He desires to punish the Awesome Confederation for their war crimes, both here and elsewhere. However, he is concerned that joining the main coalition in their invasion of the Philippines would allow for the advancement of Imperialistic agendas, which we are opposed to. Unfortunately, we see no way for the Philippines to come out of this war with full sovereignty. Thus, we seek to maximize their level of self-determination, by taking the side of those who are most likely to serve that end. That is where you come in."

"We have seen the way that members of the Pan-Asiatic States are treated, and we note the high degree of devolution in your nation. This encourages us in the hope that the Philippines, while perhaps being 'forced' to accept socialism should you come to power there, would be allowed self-determination in most or all non-economic areas of domestic policy. This is sufficient for us, and more than we could hope for should any of the other major players come to power. While we are not socialists, we see nothing objectionable in the economic system, either in principle, or in the practice of your nation."

"If you allow us to cooperate with you, we are prepared to bring to bear an Armored Brigade, a Naval Strike Group, a Bomber Squadron, twelve Tactical Aircraft Squadrons, and assorted support units. We are willing to make these forces subordinate to your command structure, on the condition that they are not employed contrary to Catarapanian interests. As Catarapanian interests will be served by your coming to power in the Philippines, you should have considerable lattitude in this matter. Tell us where to go, and we will listen."

"Should you accept our offer of aid, we would request that you inform the Philippine populace that we are not enemies of the revolution, and assist us in coordinating both with your forces and with local forces."

"You need not stand alone in this. We are prepared to stand with you. What say you?"

After a long period of review, the Pan-Asiatic States government has decided to approve Southern Xenick's calls for cooperation. As always, the goal of the Pan-Asiatic States is only to ensure that a revival of a fully self-governing Filipino country is executed and that the Filipino people be allowed to hold fair and free elections to decide the composition of its government.
