Thanks for the feedback and suggestions with Declarations - it's good to finally get a new category for the SC; it only took 12 years. I'd also like to thank the beta testers who put the category through its paces (and who also voted down Testlandia's slanderous "Sedgistan Emits a Foul Odour").

Any continued technical discussion / bug reports can remain in this thread. Discussion of how Declarations fit into the SC proposal rules should now move to the SC Rules discussion thread.

A Declaration, Cormactopia Prime's Advancement of Anti-Fascist Action, has just reached vote.

The resolution that was voted on immediately before AAFA came to vote, Commend Imkiville, has passed, and a "Seconds ago: Debussy's resolution Commend Imkiville was passed by the Security Council" line appears on the author's nation page. However, the Commendation badge is not displaying on her nation page, nor is the "Seconds ago: Imkiville was Commended by Security Council Resolution #357" line. What is even happening?

Also the notification telegram is wrong. It should say something along the lines of notifying you of the passage of the proposal, not saying laws were enacted to be in compliance.

Wrong place to put that really, and the TG is saying that the resolution is passed and we are to comply with the content of said resolution.

This is the correct place to post bugs.

Both of these are being looked into. I'm blaming Violet, who re-coded Declarations after I'd got them working :P

I did not notice that it was changed until I found it in the SC development thread. I just thought that you were saying it didn’t make sense. Yep, it has changed.

I was correct. Both have now been fixed. I've also manually applied the badge to Imkiville.

Before Declarations, WACC telegrams about SC resolutions read:
The World Assembly wishes to notify you of the passage of a resolution to Commend HumanSanity.

They now read:
The World Assembly wishes to notify you of the passage of a resolution Advancement of Anti-Fascist Action.

Surely that should read "...a resolution entitled Advancement..."?

The C/Cs/Liberations telegrams will be the old types; it was a mistake in <not my> coding that led to 'Commend Imkiville' sending the wrong telegram.

What about: The World Assembly wishes to notify you of the passage of a resolution "Advancement of Anti-Fascist Action".

Would the definite article not be better?

Or skip ‘a resolution’ entirely. ;) Looks good, Sedge.
