SEASON REPORT:

The featured match to kick off the Stellar Division's 65th Season would see long time contenders but zero-time champions Colonial Sile host Jaguar Moreda, the first Truly Debutant Side in the Stellar Division since Tropicorp FC contesting their first ever match at the level. There was not much to report from Colonial Field, however, as defense won the day after dual shutouts from Cosmo Leopoldi of Colonial Sile and Jaguar Moreda's Kelsey Vickers from the Commonwealth of Baker Park. The real story came the following day when the rest of the matches were played and three-peat reigning champions Jungle Strike FC were upended in a 2-0 result by Marine Coast United. It was Vilitan netminder Vernasa Sanamun between the sticks for Strike FC leaving Banija's Wanda Kouyate on the sideline with head in hands as Sanamun gave up goals from Fishtii Blikala and Cerulean Blitz. The real star of the show, however, was Marine Coasts Surgan t'Oesene who dominated play in the midfield and earned star of the match honors to put Marine atop the Stellar Division Table after one matchday and Jungle Strike FC firmly at the bottom.

Blikala would give Marine Coast United another victory on Matchday 2 scoring the lone goal in an away victory over Mliona-Lpaka which left just Marine Coast United and Eastal Lunar as teams having earned two victories from the first two matchdays. While Marine Coast United's streak would end on matchday 3 with a goalless draw at home against Cednia Beach AFC, Eastal Lunar's rocket to the top would not stop as the Astronauts picked up an impressive 1-0 victory over Championship rivals Jungle Strike FC leaving the Venom mired deep in the relegation zone after three games without a win. Strike would finally break the bad run of form on Matchday 4 with a victory over Makosile United. Although the Mako's got a goal from Banijan midfielder Tambo Kamo it was not enough as Wanda Kouyate made an impressive 10 saves on the day with the Makos outshooting the Venom. Goals from Nephara's Bastet North and Turori's Nua'oma Aikiki were enough to give Strike a 2-1 victory.

Elsewhere in the table, an early-season thriller in one of the Turorian Derby's would see Cednia Beach AFC come out on top in front of their home fans in a 3-2 victory over rivals the Kionao Locals. The Locals had been in front 2-1 untl a 72nd minute sending off of the Locals defender for a second yellow card changed the momentum of the match. Lulu Pumaziiri and Turakia Diijelhma scored late on for the Coconuts who took over as the highest placed Turorian side in the table with the result. The Locals Turorian slide would continue on the following matchday when goals from Reyna Best, Intikko Kuhilana and Christa Vuckovic helped lift Tropicorp FC off the bottom of the table with their first victory of the season putting a damper on the Locals hot start to the season.

The Techies joy would only last so long in however as their next match would be at Tropicorp Park against league leaders Eastal Lunar. There was absolutely no mercy shown by the Astronauts as Hanauma Ranbomahi was lit up for four goals led by Nii'arala Milaaso and Nindethana Nindethana. It allowed Eastal Lunar and their perfect start to the season to open up a 6 point advantage six games into the season over the only two other unbeaten teams - Rammsissil and Marine Coast United.

Matchday Seven would contain both the best of action and the worst of it. Five of the seven matches on the day ended in a goaless draw but the other two games were as thrilling as they could be. After six victories in a row to start the season it would have seemed that a home game against Stellar Division Rookies Jaguar Moreda would be an all but assured three points for the Astronauts. There was much more to the match however as it would be the first ever Rivalry match between the two Seraai-based clubs competing together in the Stellar Division for the first time in history. The Jaguars had circled the match against their neighbors as the most important on the calendar, and wouldn't relent despite the pressure from the League Leaders. Kelsey Vickers was stunning in goal stopping five quality chances from the Astronauts keeping Jaguar Moreda in contention throughout the ninety minutes. Then, the moment that will live in the lore at Canopy Gate for seasons to come, the inswinging corner kick in the 88th minute met by the head of Roffen Ritschl and powered past the veteran netminder Zelkki Milake. A small section of Green-Clad supporters erupted in the away end as the Jaguars had secured victory in the first ever Astro-Jaguar Derby that instantly became a classic and etched a new rivalry into the books in the Vilitan Top Flight.

The real story, however, was how it was all going wrong for the defending champions. After collecting their first victory of the season against Makosile United, Jungle Strike FC were held to three consecutive goalless draws before an unexpected 1-3 defeat to Tropicorp FC send the Venom back down into the Relegation Zone with just one victory in eight matchdays. The misery for the Venom would continue as they were forced to host Jaguar Moreda on Matchday 9 and the Jaguars were flying high on the momentum gained from beating their rivals on the previous matchday. Despite an early goal from Bastet North that put the Venom in the lead, Jaguar Moreda came fighting back to earn a famous 2-1 victory at the Lonngeylin Coliseum to further pile the misery onto the reigning champions.

Marine Coast United suffered their first defeat of the season in the Classico at the Lirai Asku Castle on Matchday 9 as the Yeaddin Owls got the goal from Audioslavian midfielder Jeppe Fly, but Sürgân t'Öéséné would lead the Tridents back on the following matchday with a goal and an assist to lift Marine Coast United over the Kionao Locals 2-0 and allowing them to close to within two points of leaders Eastal Lunar.

It would set up a Top-of-the-table Clash On Matchday 11 as Marine Coast United hosted Eastal Lunar at Marine World Park in Crosaibi. Though Marine were atop the table on Matchday 1 after their opening day victory over Strike FC, it had been nearly 50 seasons since Marine Coast United were atop the Stellar Division table after ten or more matches had been played - but they could climb back to the pinnacle of the Vilitan League with a home victory over the Astronauts. The game expectedly played to a slow resolution in the first half and the teams went into the tunnel scoreless. The second half got off to a horrible start for the home side, however, as they conceded a penalty kick on the opening possession of the second half. Lunar Shadow made no mistake converting from the penalty spot and Vilitan superstar Nii'arala Milaaso added a second goal for Eastal Lunar to close things out and secure the Astronauts spot atop the table.

The Tridents would not lose too much ground, however, as Eastal Lunar were held 1-1 by the Kionao Locals on Matchday 13. However, another rival, the Yeaddin Owls, had put together a strong finish to the second half including a 4-0 victory over Jaguar Moreda with goals from Daliora Toru'u, Todor Mihailov, Tenziki Kulakao and Robert Reeder to slide into second place just two points off the top at the mid-season break. At the other end of the table, the struggles continued for Jungle Strike FC as they dropped points yet again - this time in the Lonngeylin Derby against rivals Lonngeylin Coast. The Venom appeared to be on their way to three points thanks to Midnight Strike's opener in the 10th minute but Vanorian attacker Elias Hammer equalized for the Fisherman in the 90th minute to help keep Lonngeylin Coast within four points of the leaders at the seasons halfway point.

Starting the second half in the relegation zone, many expected Jungle Strike FC to rise through the table in the second half. It would all start at home against 3rd place side Marine Coast United - the team that set the Venom off on their downward spiral with victory on the opening matchday. In comparison to the first half of the campaign, Strike FC put in a much stronger performance and should have taken the three points if not for a stellar performance in goal by Jam'Aan Couch for Marine Coast United as Jungle Strike FC outshot the Tridents 7-2 over the ninety minutes. It was not a bad result for Marine, however, as the Top 5 all had draws on the day to maintain the status quo atop the table. The big match was at the Lirai Asku Castle as the Yeaddin Owls had the chance to pull level with Eastal Lunar atop the table. After missing time late in the first half of the season, Mako Canopii was back for the Yeaddin Owls fresh from the mid season break to go head to head with the goalkeeper they replace as #1 for the Vilitan National Team, Zelkki Milake. Both would concede a goal on the day and nothing more as the gap atop the table held stable at 2 points.

Strike FC's all-time record 10 match winless streak in the Stellar Division would come to an end on Matchday 15 against bottom-of-the-table Kionao Locals. A pair of goals either side of half time from Turorian forward and recent World Cup Champion Nua'oma Aikiki were the difference with Wanda Kouyate keeping the locals at bay with a strong performance in net. It lifted Strike out of the relegation zone as they set their sights back on the IFCF qualification zone.

The road back would not be easy for the Venom, however. They would host Stellar Division leaders Eastal Lunar on Matchday 16 and while typically a goalless draw for the 11th place side in the league against the first place team would be considered a good result, Strike FC needed victories to avoid being languished in their worst ever Stellar Division performance. The dropped points for the Astronauts allowed the Yeaddin Owls to close within a single point of the lead after a 1-0 victory over Makosile United courtesy of an 11th minute free kick from Daliora Toru'u.

Like others before them, however, Yeaddins charge would be thwarted temporarily by Strike FC - though Strike FC's inability to collect three points continued to see them mired in the bottom half of the table. Dual shutouts from Mako Canopii and Vernasa Sanamun were on order at the Lirai Asku Castle - the result doing neither side any good with the Owls slipping to five points behind leaders Eastal Lunar while Jungle Strike FC could see their lowest ever league finish - 9th during Season 59 - looming in their windscreen.

Goals from Nua'oma Aikiki and Midnight Strike would put the Venom back in the winners column on Matchday 19 with a 2-0 victory over Mliona-Lpaka who dipped into the relegation zone along with the Kionao Locals threatening a possible double-relegation for Turorian sides. The frustrating season for Strike FC finally boiled over on Matchday 21 when the Venom ran riot on Tropicorp FC with a 4-0 victory. More critically, however, leaders Eastal Lunar FC suffered their first defeat of the second half at Colonial Sile allowing the field to catch up including second place Rammsissill now just three points back after having been hiding out of contention for much of the season, and Marine Coast United who picked up a 1-0 victory over the Turoki Tide to jump back into third position in the table.

The biggest fixture on Matchday 22 would come at the Sissil Bank Stadium where second place side Rammsissil hosted 3rd placed Marine Coast United with both sides needing a victory to keep pace with leaders Eastal Lunar. The Ramms title hopes would quickly go up in smoke as Marine Coast United would pick up a pair of first half goals through Fishtii Blikala and Chioke Uchie. The Mariners would get some help from their rivals at Lonngeylin Coast who would notch an impressive home victory over Eastal Lunar to allow the gap at the top to close within just two points.

The come back was also finally on for Jungle Strike FC. Though it was certainly too little too late, the Venom secured back to back victories for the first time all season as a pair of goals by Turori's Nua'oma Aikiki gave Strike a 2-1 victory over newcomers Jaguar Moreda - the very team they were chasing for 9th in the Stellar Division table.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 22:
::STANDINGS WITH 4 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [41] - Eastal Lunar
2 :: [39] - Marine Coast
3 :: [38] - Rammsissil
4 :: [37] - Colonial Sile
5 :: [36] - Yeaddin Owls

Just as quickly as it seemed Marine Coast United could be on the very of ending a fifty-season drought as Stellar Division champions, their classic rivals emerged to stand in their way. A hard fought battle between the Vilitan Stellar Divisions two original champions was ultimate won by the Yeaddin Owls thanks to a 22nd minute goal from Tenziki Kulakao. Coupled with a shock defeat for Rammsissil at the hands of bottom side Kionao Locals, it allowed the Owls to pull up to 2nd place in the table. Eastal Lunar's victory over the Ramms on Matchday 24 all but eliminated the Sissil based club from title contention and gave the Astronauts breathing room atop the table with three clubs level in second place five points behind them.

The battle was also heating up at the bottom of the table however as a three way tie on points between Tropicorp FC, Makosile United and the Kionao Locals was separated only through goal differential while Mliona-Lpaka lingered just three points ahead in 11th.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 24:
::STANDINGS WITH 2 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [45] - Eastal Lunar
2 :: [40] - Yeaddin Owls
3 :: [40] - Colonial Sile
4 :: [40] - Marine Coast
5 :: [39] - Lonngeylin Coast
5 :: [38] - Rammsissil

Just as the fans had been given a glimmer of hope that one of the Yeaddin Owls, Colonial Sile, Marine Coast United or Rammsissil could claim their first Stellar Division title of the modern era, the chance was gone. Eastal Lunar would claim the title on Matchday 25 with a 1-0 victory over Marine Coast United at Lunar Park. It was the second ever Stellar Division title for Eastal Lunar and many saw it as a proper send off for long time Astronauts goalkeeper Zelkki Milake, widely expected to retire at the end of the campaign and hand the gloves over to their protege Zelkki Milake Jr. For Marine Coast United the defet would put them at risk of missing out on the IFCF Champions League.

While the champions were already crowned, there was plenty of action to follow on the final matchday of competition. After just one victory in the first half of the season, Jungle Strike FC had climbed back up to 9th position which would equal their worst ever Stellar Division placement... if they could maintain it. The Venom would head into their final game against 4th placed Rammsissil just one point clear of Jaguar Moreda and needing three goals to pull to a level goal differential. At the bottom of the table, Mliona-Lpaka secured their safety with a 1-0 victory over Lonngeylin Coast while the battle betwen the three relegation threatened teams would go down to the final matchday. All three relegation threatend sides would face teams inside the Top 5 fighting for IFCF placement putting Tropicorp FC in prime position to avoid the drop with a single point advantage heading into the final match.

Despite defeat to Colonial Sile, Tropicorp FC would maintain their hold of 12th position in the Stellar Division and one more season of safety despite a three-way tie with Makosile United and the Kionao Locals. Tropicorp FC were carried all season long by the midfield performances of Baker Park's Christa Vuckovic who earned widespread praise for being the spark in an otherwise mundane Tropicorp side. The Techies and the Makos finished with an identical record including goal differential, with Tropicorp's superior goals scored record breaking the tie between the two sides.

After an exciting start to the season, Jaguar Moreda would back into 11th place in the final table after a lopsided 3-0 final matchday defeat to the Yeaddin Owls which allowed the Owls to secure 2nd place in the table, their best performance in 40 seasons and just three points shy of the ultimate prize. There was no similar joy for their rivals Marine Coast United. After challenging for the title all season long, the Crosaibi based side dropped significantly with no victories in their final four matches dropping out of the IFCF Champions Cup slots down to 7th in the Final Table.

The Declasse Season got kicked off in fine style with just a single goalless draw among seven matches - that coming in Tivali City as the Orange and Blue hosted Kikanla Toau. There was excitement abound as a packed crowd watch a back-and-forth thriller between Lonngeylin City and Sokattack Mliona. A late goal by Hasan Demiroren secured the point for the home side in a 3-3 draw.

Things would stay just as interesting on Matchday 2 as once again just a single goalless draw was played and a total of 21 goals scored across seven matches. The first big matchup of the season came on Matchday 5 and it was also a thriller. Sokattack Mliona - the Turorian side who had never finished in the Top Half of the Declasse table were making an early push to inside the promotion places and would upend Title challengers Surf Jettica 3-1. The Sokattack got a goal from Ko-orenite Kaoru Misaki late in the first half to level the scores after Tasneem Wolff of Eastfield Lodge had scored on the first corner kick of the match for the Surfers. Mliona would have control of the play in the second half however to separate themselves 2 points clear of Surf Jettica atop the Declasse Table.

Matchday Six would show that Sokattack Mliona were serious about their title challenge as they walloped four goals past recently relegated Stellar Division side Inland Peaks FC to maintain their perch atop the Table. Not to be outdone, however, Surf Jettica scored five goals on the day to make their own intentions clear as they looked to make amends for their earlier defeat to the Sokattackers.

Relentless Sokattack Mliona were defying expectations as they made handy work of all comers. They disposed of debutant Kikanla Toau by a 3-1 scoreline on Matchday seven, defeated Yutzie Sorma 2-1 on Matchday eight and then ran riot over Promotion hopefuls Turoki Isle on Matchday nine to extend their winning streak to eight games and pull an incredible 12 points clear of third place side Surf Jettica. Just as it seemed the Turorian side could not be stopped - they finally met their match. Another Turorian side.

FC Almintora were not impressed with Sokattack Mliona and did not care much that they were flying high as leaders of the Declasse Division. FC Almintora - led by their 98 year old aided-by-science Head Coach, stuck to their tactics and wore down the leaders - doing to Sokattack Mliona what Sokattack had done to so many others. Turori National Team defender Karek Edgeli scored twice from defense to lift Almintora to a 3-0 victory and hand Sokattack Mliona their first defeat of the season. After rebounding with a victory over recently promoted Riailia Village on Matchday 11, Sokattack were defeated for the second time almost single handedly on Matchday 12 by Nepharim goalkeeper Malta Stark who held strong stopping five Sokattack shots while Layla Cellaeron scored for the Electricians to give them a 1-0 victory over the leaders.

The first half of the Declasse Season would come to a close with Sokattack hosting second placed side Tivali City. With seven points between them coming into the match it was a critical game with massive title implications - though both sides were currently in the promotion places. In the end, the match played out to a 1-1 draw allowing third place Surf Jettica to close to within two points of Tivali City.

SECOND HALF :: After dominating the first half of the Declasse Season, the second half started slowly for Sokattack Mliona with defeats at the hands of Jlinal Cove and Cedniavella Turori and a draw to Surf Jettica as the Surfers looked to climb into title contention. Matchday 19 presented a unique test for Sokattack as one of the oldest clubs in Vilita visited Sokattack Stadium. The Turorian side put three goals past their opponents from Vilita's Capital City to regain the momentum they had built from the first half of the season and maintained their 2 point advantage over second place side Tivali City. Cedniavella's hopes of making it a double Turorian promotion to the Stellar Division took a hit however losing 1-0 on the road to Riailia Village and dropping to 4th place, six point behind Tivali City.

The Declasse Season could have been done and dusted on Matchday 20 with Sokattack travelling to face third place side Inland Peaks but the side from the Morata Valley wasn't giving up as goals from Nitin Joshi of the Squorneshelan Remnant States and TJUN-ia's Vladimir Podolov gave the Mountaineers the victory. Coupled with a 2-1 victory for FC Almintora over Tivali City, it allowed the Peaks to close within just two points of the Promotion Zone and 4 of leaders Sokattack Mliona.

A draw with Surf Jettica in the battle for the Liga B Places would temper the Inland Peaks charge to the top of the mountain however as Sokattack Mliona could taste the Stellar Division after moving six points clear of now third placed Cedniavella Turori with just four matches to play. At the other end of the table, thigns were looking bleak for Riailia Village who were 8 points adrift of a tight battle to stay above the cut line between Jlinal Cove, Kikanla Toau, Alikki-Corra and Arcticala Inlet.

The hopes of a dual Turorian promotion to the Stellar Division for season 66 were all but ended on Matchday 23 when 4th place Cedniavella Turori were defeated 2-1 by second place side Tivali City while fifth place side FC Almintora were defeated 2-0 by the leaders Sokattack Mliona who would be confirmed in the top flight for the first time in their history if they could pick up a single point over the final two matchdays - or if Inland Peaks failed to win each of their remaining three games.

With a 2-0 victory over bottom side Riailia Village on Matchday 24, two things were confirmed. Sokattack Mliona would complete a stunning season - having never before finished int he Top Half of the Declasse Division but confirmed to the Stellar Division for the first time in Season 66. It would also confirm the relegation of bottom side Riailia Village on pace for their worst ever Declasse season - an erstwhile accomplishment for a team that has never finished higher than 11th in the league. Tivali City would confirm their own return to the top class of the Vilitan League with a 1-0 victory over Jlinal Cove on the penultimate matchday of competition while Sokattack Mliona celebrated as champions with a 3-1 victory over Arcticala Inlet at the twii.tur field at Sokattack Stadium.

The Declasse Season would come to a close with all eyes on the bottom of the table with a battle between Arcticala Inlet and Kikanla Toau at the Arcticala Electrical Stadium to decide which team would be sent back down to the Tropicorp Lower League. Veteran goalkeeper Malta Stark held firm for the Electricians posting a shutout while Layla Cellaeron scored the matches only goal to lift Arcticala Inlet back into the top 12 and ensure that Kikanla Toau's first season in the Vilitan League would also be their last... for now.

Vilitan Cup Knockout Rounds:

The Vilitan Cup Quarter Finals would very nearly see a Tropicorp Lower League Side claim a rare league scalp to advance on through to the Semi-Finals. Ironically, it would be against Stellar Division side Tropicorp FC that the Lower-League side Laiotia AFC made their push. Ultimately, the Techniqes would survive but it would required penalty kicks at Tropicorp Park.

Though Struggling in the Vilitan League, Jungle Strike FC had little difficulty in the Cup running the table in their group and then dispatching of fellow Stellar Division side Jaguar Moreda in the Quarter Finals to reach the Semi-Final round for the first time in three seasons.

Quarter Finals (Two-Legs)
Kionao Locals [VSD] 0 - 1 Eastal Lunar [VSD]
Lonngeylin Coast [VSD] 1 - 2 Cednia Beach AFC [VSD]
Jungle Strike FC [VSD] 1 - 0 Jaguar Moreda [VSD]
Laiotia AFC [TLL] 1 - 1* Tropicorp FC [VSD] *Tropicorp FC Advance on Penalty Kicks

While Eastal Lunar FC were cruising towards the Stellar Division Title, Jungle Strike FC really wanted the Vilitan Cup trophy to bring back to the Lonngeylin Coliseum and help their fans forget about their poor performance during Vilitan League Season 65. It was a matchup of stars in the first leg at the Coliseum as Turori's Nua'oma Aikiki scored for Strike but saw their goal quickly cancelled out by Vilitan star and former Galacticos Youth winner Nii'arala Milaaso. It looked like the second leg would be a goalless affair at Lunar Park until Limu Katarakhna sent the fans into raptures fifteen minutes from time. The Euphoria was short lived when Midnight Strike struck for Strike five minutes later and the match was destined for a penalty shootout. Eastal Lunar made all five of their spot kicks with very little Wanda Kouyate could do to stop any of the well place Astronauts efforts. Vilitan veteran Cywrenta Vlintejni blasted over for Strike to end the shootout and see Eastal Lunar progress through to the final.

The Astronauts would face a surprise package in Tropicorp FC who would advance on a penalty shootout for the second consecutive round after two goalless legs against Cednia Beach AFC. It was a dual between the sticks between Tropicorp's Hanauma Ranbomahi and the Coconuts Vanorian netminder Julius Miljeteig. It seemed as if Miljeteig had done enough to see Cednia Beach through with an outstanding save on Reyna Best's spot kick for the Techies, but the Coconuts penalty shooters let the team down with both Turorian stars Lulu Pumaziiri and Bikiki Rona'atu'i missing for Cednia Beach to allow Tropicorp FC through to their first ever major competition Final.

Semi Finals (Two-Legs)
Jungle Strike FC [VSD] 2 - 2* Eastal Lunar [VSD] *Eastal Lunar Advance on Penalty Kicks
Cednia Beach AFC [VSD] 1 - 1* Tropicorp FC [VSD] *Tropicorp FC Advance on Penalty Kicks

While Tropicorp's Techies were making their first ever appearance in the Vilitan Cup Final, it was the fourth consecutive Cup Final appearance for the Vilitan Stellar Division champions and reigning Vilitan Cup champions Eastal Lunar. The Astronauts boasted a side that closely resembled the Vilitan National Team while Tropicorp FC's starting eleven was a hybrid of select Fringe National team players from various countries throughout the multiverse, some highly skilled Tropicorp employees and a newly crowned World Cup Champion in Turori National Team defender Moumouni Verre'elali.

The pressure came quickly from Eastal Lunar and the neutrals braced for a runaway result when Kentu Umaka'a was fed through by Nii'arala Milaaso for the games first goal in the 17th minute. Seeking the season sweep having already won the Tropicorp Trophy and the Vilitan Stellar Division, the Astronauts kept up the pressure but were getting resistance in the form of long time Tropicorp goalkeeper Hanauma Ranbomahi. High quality saves from the Tropicorp netminder gave the team in orange and blue confidence and they were able to score a seemingly unlikely equalizer after Dr. Anhary delivered a perfect corner kick that was met by the head of Intikko Kuhilana and redirected past Zelkki Milake.

Despite Eastal Lunar controlling the bulk of the possession and the quality scoring chances, Tropicorp FC were staying in the match and held to the 1-1 scoreline at the break. The deciding moment of the match once again came against the run of play and once again it was Dr. Anhary who provided the delivery. A skillful long throw in by the Doctor was flicked on by Squornshelan defender Ghafla Treibitz who found the run of Christa Vuckovic. Vuckovic, who had been named player of the season for Tropicorp after carrying the team to safety during the Vilitan Stellar Division season, capped it off with the 66th minute Vilitan Cup Final game winning goal. Eastal Lunar kept up the pressure but could not find a way to beat Hanauma Ranbomahi as Tropicorp FC would hold on for their first ever Vilitan Cup Title.

IFCF Challengers Cup: Lonngeylin Coliseum, Lonngeylin, Vilita (115,500 Seated) - 141,000 Standing Room

Image
Home of the Vilitan Stellar Division champions, Jungle Strike FC, Lonngeylin Coliseum is the biggest sporting arena in the Vilitan Cove and was chosen exactly for this purpose. Not so much 'butts in seats' - because almost one-third of the estimated attendees would be standing on the Vilitan hillside, but the capacity to hold large volumes was just one of the perks to holding the match in Lonngeylin.

One of the oldest yet most expansive stadiums in Vilita, the stadium has undergone several renovations, name changes and expansions in its long history, which included being a knockout venue for the World Cup 17 and 31 finals. Most notably, the seated sections of the Coliseum went through a complete overhaul between League Seasons 25-35 where sections were closed incrementally for upgrades. The Coliseum is known for its unique hillside accommodation which enhances one of the most impressive match atmospheres in the region.

Most famously, however, the Lonngeylin Coliseum was the venue for the World Cup 59 final that pitted The Babbage Islands against Aguazul. It was an epic championship final with the two sides fighting to a goalless draw after extra time before Aguazul triumphed in the shootout for their historic third consecutive World Cup title. The facilities at the Lonngeylin Coliseum had been upgraded over the year to handle the over-capacity crowd and extended match timeline. The venue was also selected for the Vilitan half of the "Battle of Turori" - when Vilita & Turori were drawn against each other during World Cup 64 Qualifying.

Typically, only the Jungle Strike FC or Vilita National Team 'home' fans are allowed in the south and east areas, which include both hillside seating and open hillside that can accommodate an approximately 30,000 additional fans beyond the seated capacity - depending on how far away from the stadium they wish to prop themselves. Away fans are always seated in the west grandstand. The hosting of a neutral tournament event at the arena will allow visiting fans to experience 'home' accomodations for the first time.

The Lonngeylin Coliseum is a former UICA and Cygnus Cup host site, including the successful hosting of the 47th UICA Champions Cup Final.

Turori (TUR) final site bid

IFCF Liga B Cup / Youth Cup: Sokattack Stadium, Mliona, Turori (capacity 46,500)
Image

Stadium & Tenant History :: Sokattack Stadium started as a 3,000 Capacity single-stand stadium when Sokattack Mliona entered the Turorian Lower League system as an alternative local club to the much larger Mliona-Lpaka. When Sokattack Mliona were first promoted to the Declasse Division during the 35th Vilitan League Cycle, the club were required to make capacity improvements to the stadium to ensure a permanent seated amount of 14,000. They accomplished this by adding a large stand at the Eastern end of the ground with 11,000 seats with a future expansion plan to replace the original 3,000 seat grandstands along the sideline. Sokattack's immediate relegation from the Declasse shelved those plans, however, and another one-off season in the Declasse during Vilitan League cycle 39 did nothing to re-establish those plans.

It wasn't until Sokattack Mliona's promotion from the Tropicorp Lower League as runners-up to Tropicorp FC in the 12th Tropicorp Cup that expansion plans returned. The club added 5,000 temporary seats on the Western touchline to meet the league minimum seating then completed a 22,000 capacity primary grandstand in place of the old 3,000 seater, complete with a state-of-the-art concourse for vending, refreshments and souvenirs.

During Vilitan League Cycle 61 Sokattack picked up sponsorship from twii.tur who invested in further improvements to the ground. In addition to raising the stadium capacity to the current 46,500, twii.tur invested in the clubs Youth Academy and training facilities, purchasing land across from the stadium to be used as a training ground for both the senior and youth teams at the club. This investment paid off as Sokattack Mliona won the 18th Tropicorp Cup returning to the Vilitan Declasse once more where they remain to this day. While the Sokattack Academy does not participate directly in the Tropicorp Youth League, the team participate in regional competitions and have a partnership agreement with Mliona-Lpaka to provide Sokattack Players to the Mliona-Lpaka team for the Tropicorp Youth Competition. Four Sokattack Academy players were apart of Mliona-Lpaka's 17th Turorian Youth Group Championship.

Investments & Experience :: twii.tur is a short message communication service based in Turori allowing users to exchange content of 140 characters or less. The service originated as a way to allow officials to receive alerts and key information such as incoming weather notifications, major events and the ability to stay coordinated during a time of crisis but was under-utilized and doubts were raised as to whether the overhead of the infrastructure was worthwhile to maintain.

As capabilities of interconnected and handheld communication devices improved, the Turorian Weather & Information Interchange (Twii) was adapted into a public facing service where users could sign up to create their own twii nodes where users would sign up to a twii group to receive all the twii messages delivered by members of that group.

twii.tur are the presenting sponsor of the Sokattack Stadium, officially known as the "twii.tur Field at Sokattack Stadium". twii.tur invested heavily in improving not only the stadium but the surrounding infrastructure on the complex as part of a naming and kit sponsorship agreement with the club from Vilitan League Season 61. twii.tur made significant improvements in the technology at the stadium making it a hidden gem amongst small-to-mid size stadiums within Atlantian Oceania.

The Sokattack Stadium has no prior UICA or IFCF hosting experience however was a host venue for a two group stage matches played during the AOCAF LIVe regional championships in Tropicorp. The first was the group 2 opener between Osarius and Iskandervale and the second was the Final Match of Group 1 that saw a 2-2 draw between Demot and Komarov-Thomiya.

Other final site bids

Cup Winners Cup: Tropicorp Park, Tropicoast, Tropicorp (72,000)
Image

History and Tenants :: Tropicorp Park is home to the Tropicorp Cup, the four team, 2 day grand-finale of the Tropicorp Lower League. The competition served as an outstanding warmup to test the hospitality available at Tropicorp Park, and was critical in the build up to the decision to allow the finals of the Eagle's Cup V competition to take place in Tropicorp, the first major international competition of any kind to be held in Tropicoast.

Tropicorp Park hosted the 54th AOCAF Final that saw Cosumar break through with a first ever regional title over Eshan. The stadium was also the final site for the AOCL XXIII contested between Mâ Âlâmëómë of Farfadillis and Blades ex Magnaeus of Mertagne with the Farf side being victorious on Penalty Kicks; and for AOCL XVII which saw Jungle Strike FC defeat Fligsive FC 3-0. The first ever Tropicorp Bowl was contested on the gridiron with Raynor University defeating the university of Iqaluit 27-14.

Tropicorp Park would finally host its first ever official UICA Competition during the 73rd and final cycle of UICA competition, hosting the Series 'B' Champions Cup Final that was won by FC Almintora on Penalty Kicks, as well as the UICA Youth Cup Final.

Tropicorp Park has evolved into a World Class facility with experimental fan experiences funded by the nearby Tropicorp Research & Development Group. The stadium is also the full-time home of Tropicorp FC, a club in the Vilitan Stellar Division.

Vilitan League
:: Season 65 ::

SUPPLEMENTAL SUMMARY

Image

Image Jungle Strike FC - v. - Eastal Lunar Image
Tivali Ring Stadium, Alikki-Corra, Vilita

The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one.

For this seasons Tropical Trophy, the defending Vilitan Stellar Division Champions (Jungle Strike FC) faced off against the defending Vilitan Cup Champions (Eastal Lunar).

Starting in Season 57, Vilitan/Turorian Dual National referee Nuliko Meteorik officiated the Tropical Trophy from a press box at the Tivali Ring Stadium with a suite of action cameras and video reviews to be used in competition to a degree never before seen. The move to the press box for the head referee was in part the chance to use the Tropical Trophy as a test bed for introducing technology to the game, and partially to spare Meteorik the embarrassment of not being able to keep pace with the players many years his younger. A pair of assistant referee's were still located pitch side. This method of officiating has continued at the Tropical Trophy as well as having been expanded to the Vilitan Cup and Tropicorp Cup competitions. In lieu of a whistle, a horn sounds over the PA system at the stadium when Meteorik needs to stop play while video screens and communication with the on-field assistants as required provide further details of the infraction and its result.

As a reward for their Vilitan Cup triumph, Eastal Lunar would square off against reigning Stellar Division Champions Jungle Strike FC in what many considered to be a key litmus test between two teams expected to challenge for the Vilitan Stellar Division title during Season 65. Jungle Strike FC came into the match having won three of the previous four Tropical Trophy titles.

It was an all Vilitan National Team show in net with Zelkki Milake and Vernasa Sanamun starting the match for Eastal Lunar and Strike respectively. While Milake was expected to start the match for the Astronauts as their #1 while also going through the experience of training up their offspring Zelkki Milake, Jr. to take over the gloves in Seraai, the situation in Lonngeylin was much different with two #1 goalkeepers in Sanamun and Wanda Kouyate of Banija.

Each goalkeeper showed their international prowess in the first half as the scoreline was level after 45 minutes of play. In the second half it was the Venom who started out with the stronger of the chances and eventually got the goal through Turori National Team striker and recent World Cup Champion Nua'oma Aikiki. It seemed as if Strike would be on their way to another peice of silverware until the hour mark came and Eastal Lunar scored a quickfire double through Samothias Odwyk and Kentu Umaka'a.

Umaka'as goal would end up being the difference in the match as Milake and the Astronauts defensive corps would hold off the challenge from Jungle Strike FC and maintain their lead through the final whistle to earn the clubs third Tropical Trophy triumph.

Statwise:
:: This is Eastal Lunar's 3rd Tropical Trophy Victory in their 7th appearance
:: This is Jungle Strike FC's 19th Tropical Trophy Defeat in their 40th appearance
:: This is Jungle Strike FC's 5th consecutive Tropical Trophy appearance
:: This is the 3rd Tropical Trophy contested between Eastal Lunar (2) and Jungle Strike FC (1)
:: This is the 8th Tropical Trophy that ended in a 2-1 scoreline

Tropical Trophy Host Site:

Tivali Ring Stadium - Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Capacity)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy match up. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

The Cocoa-bo Fair Play Table rewards the teams with the best record throughout the season of minimal play disruption through Red and Yellow Cards. Teams earn 1 point per yellow card received throughout the season in both the Vilitan League: Stellar Division and the Vilitan League: Declasse Division; and 3 points per Red Card received. Matches in Cup Competitions, one of matches such as the Tropical Trophy or matches outside the Vilitan League system do not contribute to a teams total for a given season. Generally the team with the best performance in the fair play table that is not otherwise qualified for Internationstatal competition will be invited to the Vilitan Cove Invitational Tournament.

21st Season :: SEASON 65

A Turorian wave hit at the start of the Tropicorp Lower League's 65th season. After seeing two Turorian clubs relegated down from the Declasse division, the Island Emirate pushed back as Inura Forests and Cednia Rovers were the last two remaining unbeaten clubs ten matches into the season. Both came into the season favored for the title as the Forests had won the Tropicorp Lower League one season ago but failed to advanced in the Tropicorp Cup and missing out on promotion as a result. For Cednia Rovers, a former Vilitan Cup Semi-Finalist, their first ever campaign in the Vilitan League ended pretty much as soon as it started as the Rovers finished bottom of the Declasse and earned a one way ticket back to the Tropicorp Lower Leagues in what many call as one of the most difficult league transitions to survive in the multiverse.

With five matchdays to play, however, the Forests grasp on the top spot had slipped away and they found themselves one point behind Turoki United for 4th place and the cutoff just to advance to the Tropicorp Cup. Cednia Rovers remained planted firmly in second but a new leader had emerged - 13th Tropicorp Cup runners-up Kimoara Lika. The Likans were held 1-1 on Matchday 25 by a Rockii Coast side that desperately needed the point as they looked to fight off relegation at the other end of the table. The gap between who was in and who was out at the top however grew larger as the Inura Forests were defeated by Kiiaran City allowing the reigning Youth Champions to pull level for 5th as three sides now trailed Turoki United by four points with just four games to play.

All three - Irottea, Inura Forests and Kiiarana City would pick up victories on Matchday 26 to close the gap to within two points of Turoki United who held the final Tropicorp Cup spot while there was a battle raging at the top yet again as another draw for Kimoara Lika allowed the Cednia Rovers and Sporta Eelandii to close within two points of the leader.

The tone of the battle changed considerably on Matchday 27 when Turoki United suffered defeat at the Turoki Community Complex to a surging Mavaloiao - opening the door for the chasing trio to take the advantage in the battle for the final spot in the Tropicorp Cup. Only Kiiarana City could capitalize, however, with their 4-3 victory over the Tkaob Inlands. Irottea were defeated 3-1 by leaders Kiomara Lika who maintained their slim advantage over the Turorian sides while the Inura Forests were held 3-3 by Vilitan Cup Quarter Finalists Laiotia.

The penultimate matchday would ultimately close things out as far as the four teams contesting the Tropicorp Cup as Kiiarana City collected a 2-0 victory over relegation threatened Rockii Coast to secure the fourth spot as Turoki United and the Inura Forests played out a 1-1 draw. It was a disappointing end to the season for the Forests who had expected bigger things after topping the Tropicorp Lower League table one season prior. It was also the end of the line for Cednia Rovers title charge after defeat to Sporta Eelandii - but it kept the team from the sportropolis in contention entering the final matchday two points behind the leaders.

The Eelandii side were given a golden opportunity to take the title when Kimoara Lika lost 1-0 on the road to Cittea but were unable to take the chance as they suffered defeat themselves on the road to a strong Morata Valley side. At the other end of the table, VOIA's Orbital Kickers made a miraculous final day escape to pull out of the Relegation Zone thanks to a 1-0 victory on VOIA Island against fellow strugglers Rockii Coast. It had been a rough season for the Kickers who had the worst goal differentials in the league heading into the final matchday - which included having suffered the most lopsided defeat of the season, 6-0 on the opening matchday away to Vilisorma. Rockii Coast still managed to survive, however, by virtue of Tkaob Inlands lopsided 0-4 defeat at the hands of Laiotia which dropped the Inlands side into the relegation zone on goals differential ending their seven season run in the Tropicorp Lower League.

Tropicorp Cup Qualification Round Note: Winners promoted to Vilitan League (Declasse Division)

Kimoara Lika 1–1 Kiiarana City (1–1 AET) (3–4 pen.)

Cednia Rovers 0–0 Sporta Eelandii (0–0 AET) (2–3 pen.)

With Sporta Eelandii and Cednia Rovers drawn together in the Qualification Round, it would ensure an even split joining the Vilitan League's Declasse division with one team from Vilita and one from Turori assured to make the jump. Neither of the two Qualification Round matchups could be settled in either full time or extra time with a rare occurance as both matches went to penalty kicks with the prize for the shootout winners being a spot in the Vilitan League for Season 66. After missing out at this very stage one season ago, Kiiarana City's young squad showed resolve beyond their years to advance at the expense of the Tropicorp Lower League Champions, Kimoara Lika. In the other Qualification match, System Karela was in full effect as there were no goals through 120 minutes and they even struggled to come during the spot kick session. Cednia Rovers would not be able to complete the bounce-back as Sporta Eelandii would get another crack at establishing a presence in the Vilitan League by advancing to the Declasse division.

Tropicorp Cup Final

Sporta Eelandii 2–3 Kiiarana City

This is Kiiarana's 2nd Tropicorp Cup Victory

RECOGNIZED PLAYER STATISTICS

Image
Image

The Vilitan Stellar Division's Recognized International Player Statistical reporting received a fundamental overhaul in celebration of the completion of play in the Vilitan League's 60th season. Historically, the Vilitan League have only reported out statistics of so-called "Recognized International" Players. These players include all foreign-born players who have joined the Vilitan League through the official player transfer process, generally players who are in the National Team Player pool of their home country. In addition, all players who are part of the Official Player Pool for the Vilitan National Team and the National Team of the Island Emirate of Turori otherwise known as the Turorian National Citizen Squad, are also included in end of season reporting. For the first time, the Vilitan Stellar Division will begin recognizing the season-long contribution of so called "Recognized Local Players". These are the other player on the roster of Stellar Division clubs who are not a part of their home countries National Team Player or Prospect Pool, most of which will have come up through the organizations youth squad and become part of the team culture. The Vilitan League system has a proud history of locally trained players and a 'team first' mantra. While Jungle Strike FC have in the past won the Vilitan Stellar Division without a single Vilitan National Team player in their Starting XI and have successfully demonstrated the ability to create a super team of international players to maintain a place atop the Stellar Division standings, other teams have put cohesiveness and long-term stability ahead of star talent. Most notably at the Turoki Community Complex, championship teams including Turoki United and the Turoki Tide have been hugely successful in the Vilitan League's Modern Era with only a handful of Recognized International players on their roster. While most local players in the Vilitan Stellar Division are highly skilled local players from the city of their home club, some may have foreign connections either through relatives or their own foreign birth which could deem them eligible to play for a foreign National Team. As this fully revamped edition of the new-and-improved Recognized International Player Statistical Report was newly created from scratch to coincide with the introduction of the IFCF, it is possible that there may be some minor errors. Any erroneous, outdated or objected data should be reported directly to the Vilita and Turori Association Football Federation (VATAFF).

Contextual Roundup

While an influx of new players stepped on the pitch for the first time during Season 65, it was the untouched roster of Eastal Lunar that prevailed atop the Stellar Division. The only new face on the field was a product of the Youth Academy and did not result in a new name on the pitch as it was the offspring of starting goalkeeper Zelkki Milake - Zelkki Milake Jr. who took on the role as backup goalkeeper for the squad.

A number of foreign players were named Player of the Season for their club including Eivind Strommen (VAL) for Strike FC, Anita Sanger (NPH) at Mliona-Lpaka, Robert Reeder (KRY) for the Yeaddin Owls and Roffen Ritschl (SRS) for Jaguar Moreda but none had quite the impact that Christa Vuckovic (CBP) had for Tropicorp FC. While the Tropicoast side struggled to stay afloat in the Stellar Division, Vukovic carried the team as playmaker helping the Techies steal points from matches they should have lost and doing so just enough to survive a three way relegation battle solely on the teams goals scored record. Nearly half those goals were setup by Vukovic who led the team in assists. The Baker Park midfielder would go one further, however, leading the team to the Vilitan Cup final and scoring the game winning goal in the second half that would bring Tropicorp FC its first major silverware.

Landesliga

The Landesliga is the top football league in the nation of Prinz-Eugens-Land, a former colony of the Teus Empire that became an independent state in 1896. The capital city is Kapstadt, and the population is made up of Teus settlers as well as various groups native to the region. The country itself is located in Esportiva, along the coast, and most of the inland is a dense, thick mountainous jungle. The River Gjoll cuts the country in half, and due to dangerous rapids as well as deadly fish in its streams was for many years incredibly difficult to traverse. Now, however, it's much easier to get across the country. Culturally, the nation retains the traditions of its various native groups, notably the Zuwze, Tugolo and Emfi. Teus culture in the country is also quite different than to the homeland. Many of the Teus that settled here were pagans fleeing persecution from the Teus Church, and this led to a solidarity between all the groups of the country struggling to protect their beliefs. For this reason, many clubs and cities in the country take their names from the old Teus pagan religions, and while it isn't really openly practiced anymore, this legacy of a struggle for freedom persists in the mentality of many of the people of the country.

Football is the most popular sport in Prinz-Eugens-Land, with cricket a close second, and the love of the game spreads across all communities in the country. The biggest clubs are the ones in the capital, Kapstadt. The rivalry between Asgardia Kapstadt and Einherjar is known as Der Klassiker, and is traditionally the biggest rivalry. Not only the capital has success, however - clubs in the Zuwze cultural capital like Imasi Sportklub have been very successful, and Speerspitze Hollereuth are the nation's most successful in terms of trophies won. The top division consists of 16 clubs, with a second tier of 16 below it. In addition, the Archduke's Shield, which was donated during the days in the immediate aftermath of independence, when the nation was governed by Archduke Franz of Teusland, is the national cup competition.

The site of the 80th World Cup Final, the Stadii Di Bradini lies close to the popular tourist destination of Downtown Jhanna, the trendiest part of Starblaydia's capital city. Boasting extensive transport links, hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs and entertainment, the Downtown area is the perfect place for a nearly quarter of a million fans to disperse into every evening after a match. It also has a direct route to JAX, Starblaydia's main internal airport and a major air travel hub of Atlantian Oceania.

The new SC Oceanside, managed and coached by Eleven/"Xi" Foureleven and led on the field by her daughter Sarah, finished fourth in a very fast-paced league and will participate in the IFCF Challengers’ Cup. SC Psychic moves on to the IFCF's top competition as well as the AOCL, while SC Ghost and SC Steel round out the 95X highest-level IFCF entries. SC Ice, SC Rock, and SC Poison are destined for the Express League next season, but can they stay there?

The fifth edition of the HSOWAliga has finally arrived and you lot know the drill by the now. HSOWA Soccer has done a lot of things that we ought not explain and the sudden explosion of curry shops near all the stadiums is a total coincidence, we swear! Also, HSOWA Soccer has been advised by its lawyers to refrain from comment on the active lawsuit by the Bulmoji Tits and Finches against the governing body’s rules requiring them to field all-avian teams in their matches.

As is tradition for the HSOWAliga, the league will be played in two splits. However, the HSOWAliga finals have be reformed to give four teams a chance at the HSOWAliga Cup, two from each split; in principle, the top two teams from each split will qualify, though a third place team may qualify in the event a team would qualify via both splits. The four teams will be paired in two semifinals, with the semifinal winners qualifying for the League of Victors and advancing to play for the HSOWA Championship, while the losers will play for the Participation Trophy and a place in the Confederations Trophy.

FOOTBALL! Despite leading going into the final matchday, the Bastards have been locked out of the Fall Split qualifying spots by a single point, likely to do with their prematch dinner at a curry shop outside the Shutters’ stadium. We shudder to think of what could’ve been in that curry. In the end, Holon’s 1–1 draw against the Passers and the Counts’ 1–1 draw in Hoshima proved enough to get them into the semifinals, with the Bastards having to hope their rivals are both good in the Spring Split.

SOCCER! Holon FC and Hokuriko Counts suffered from a case of dodgy curry in the Spring Split. Well, a lot of cases to be precise. Whether it’s karmic retribution for what happened in the Fall Split or a concerted effort to keep the Bastards out of the semifinals is left to the reader to determine. Conversely, with Bulmoji finally being allowed to field a team of humans instead of birds, they’ve managed to win the Split! Who knew birds made for terrible soccer players? Not anyone at HSOWA Soccer, it seems.

The Semifinals
Holon FC 0–1 Namseom Belgium
Bulmoji Tits and Finches 0–1 Hokuriko Counts
The Participation Trophy
Bulmoji Tits and Finches 2–0 Holon FC
The Fifth HSOWA Cup
Hokuriko Counts 2–2 Namseom Belgium
(3–2 aet)

Well this is embarrassing… the two split winners lost their semifinals, meaning for the first time in HSOWAliga history, neither team in the championship match has entered as a split winner! This is what happens when you tamper with formats, folks: nonsense. The Counts ultimately emerge victorious after extra time, mostly because the Namseom players kept tripping over their untied shoelaces. The Tits and Finches, on the other hand, are celebrating an unreasonable amount after claiming the Participation Trophy.

HSOWA Soccer actually decided to build a proper a stadium with proper seats for once, but kept the name “An Empty Field” out of a sense of tradition. HSOWA Soccer also decided to submit a bid from the new An Empty Field out of a sense of tradition, but spent all the Totally Inflated Yen earmarked for bribes incentive payments on the stadium itself.
