For example, if I wanted to send a TG to all of the other Issues Editors, I would have to pay for it.

Yes, I could send multiple TGs, but that becomes a problem when people send replies, since recipients won't be able to see the replies to the other TGs that they didn't receive.

I'm aware that Discord exists - I use it myself - but not everyone checks it regularly (or at all). Furthermore, relying upon a third-party site for basic group communications seems somewhat unwieldy.

Maybe instead of exempting staffers, some kind of way to communicate with a small group like a group thread or group chat?

Well, I'll leave that decision up to you. It's not the highest priority, and only affects a small number of people on the site, but it seems like a relatively easy fix.

You should be able to see a nation’s overall RMB post count and founding date like in the forums.

This may have been fixed but I can't find any notification saying so, but is it possible to make it so that edits to RMB posts to tag any nations that are mentioned? As discovered in this thread.

Why would that be helpful/necessary?

I'm not sure -- was it simply a glitch that you were not notified of the edit?

If I'm understanding you correctly, yes. If a dispatch is edited with a mention of a nation, the nation receives a notice - the same does not appear to be true with RMB posts (you receive a notice if they post you being tagged initially, but not if it is edited). I haven't tested this in a bit, but I'll do so tomorrow to make sure I'm not accidentally leading you astray.

Oh jeez, I was under the impression dispatches didn't send notices for edits. I better change to [url]...

Well, then, I guess, can there be a [nation=noping] tag (or any other "attribute" formatting like [nation;ping=0]) so that we can mention other nations (with the flag icon, which gets left out if you're using [url] tags) without persistent pings? As a corollary, also, you could have [nation=ping] or [nation;ping=1] for those that do want persistent pings.

The ping happens when a nation is first added to a dispatch. Subsequent edits don't re-ping any mentioned nations, (even if you add another mention of them) which was what I was trying to avoid. Ignore me.

Although noping would still be nice to just stop pings altogether while retaining the nice flag image.

Polls wasn't specifically mentioned in Communications gameside, but I think a poll suggestion fits better here then other places. If possible, can the options for polls be expanded on?

Right now there's five different poll options - resident, native, influential, WA Members, and large nations.

I'd like to see an option to allow residents of embassy regions to be able to vote on polls without having to open the poll to the entire public. To me it makes sense since you can toggle RMB posts to allow embassy regions to post, this lets those you share ✨ friendship ✨ with to vote on your polls if you want and lets them discuss it on the RMB with yall if that's also wanted.

Maybe an option to change your TG preferences when you make your country? New nations may not know how to do this otherwise and get flooded with recruitment TGs.

Oh, trust me, almost every region's welcome telegram points a player to TG preferences so they can turn off all recruitment TGs.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Yes but it'd be easier if the new nation would be provided information about these things and then be able to disable it when founding. It would definitely help with puppet creation at least, but regions would probably take a hit.

What about this:

- Separate Stamps/API recruitment and Manual recruitment into two separate categories
- Make the checkbox in the new nation options only disable Stamps/API recruitment telegrams

This way, regions will still be able to send recruitment telegrams, but the sheer volume of them will be decreased for new nations that use this option since most regions use stamps or API.

As someone who is never going to recruit and would only be a recipient of any such messages, I have no interest in making things easier for any recruiter. I don't care how it's sent. I don't want the spam. It's all junk mail to me.

Agreed. If I want to block recruitment TGs, I want to block all of them.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but the ability to send a telegram carbon copy and blind carbon copy to nations. I know I've had times in the past where I thought this could be useful, especially when I was more active in gameplay.

It would be very useful if the %NATION% code would work in every telegram as opposed to just templates.

If you are writing a telegram manually, you can use '@nation' and it will provide a dropdown where you can click the nation in question. It will then paste the nation inside [nation][/nation] tags in the tg.

Does this help?

I think they're looking for a copy/paste solution for manual recruitment telegrams that added addressee names to the body text automatically.

Yes, this would be ideal. Although, it isn't so much for manual recruitment telegrams as just general templated responses to telegrams I receive. I think this would also be immensely useful to others as well. It would mean much time saved.

I've made a suggestion on Shareable Telegram Templates and a new folder category for templates in Telegram page.

Being able to search dispatches would be nice, even if it were just returning every dispatch with the search term in the title.

We can't delete sent telegrams for moderation reasons, but could we have folders for them. With all the things telegrams are used for it can be easy to mix up templates

Also I'd like to be able to use font families [font=Asul, georgia, serif] so that I can make use of less usual fonts without worrying that most people's machines don't have them installed.

Even better support for google's webfonts: Web fonts are an alternative to font families, and a native feature of CSS so it's supported by even older browsers. This addresses the same problem as font families, only instead of substituting more common fonts it directs the browser to the font files available online, to be accessed along with the web page. Google maintains https://fonts.google.com/ which a collection of over a thousand fonts specifically designed for web use.

Regional dispatches; published through regional controls and editable by officers with communications authority(or perhaps appearance?)

EDIT: I created a separate thread for this - a bit late, apologies for not doing this earlier:

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=509492

The above thread features following suggestions:
1/ Sub-dispatches that can be created under dispatches.
2/ Adding "labels" to Dispatches.
3/ Allow users to assign "priority" (i.e. sticky) to dispatches.
