FC Fauxham (Valladares) 1-1 Xilon OC
The last Eastfielder team standing in the IFCF competitions, Xilon travel to Valladares to take on FC Fauxham, and they managed to fare better than they have done in the last couple of games, only to see their deserved lead wiped out within a couple of minutes.
Freyin SC (T5) 0-2 Encarta CF (T3)
FC Tavernia (T1) 2-1 Aswania Athletic (T4)
Indionion Athletic (T1) 1-0 Monksville United (T2)
Xilon OC (T1) 1-1 Polkation FC (T1) (1-1 AET, 1-4 PKs)
The last 8 teams standing, three matches between them and glory. Four Premier League sides have made it this far, and through the luck of the draw, one is guaranteed to play in the semis - Polkation get that honour, the highest ranked side in the league remaining in the competition beating out relegation battlers (and LBCT eighth-finalists) Xilon on penalties. They’re joined by another struggling side in FC Tavernia, the Wyverns seeing off Fourth Division side Aswania Athletic, whilst Indionion round off the fairly low-scoring affairs with a single goal victory over the Monks. The semi-final line-up is completed by Third Division side Encarta CF, who scored two penalties enroute to defeating fifth tier Freyin SC.
Walston Brook Albion 2-0 Copper Communists SC

FC Tavernia 0-2 VLC FC
Half Boy FC 1-2 Olympia FC
Polkation FC 0-1 Tuntingone FC
Xilon OC 1-4 Nile Bridge
Indionion Athletic 0-4 RGS Athletic
Plain sailing in Walston Brook for two of the teams playing there today, as Albion notch up yet another clean sheet, along with a goal each for Adel Telford and Nabhan Finlay to keep pace with Olympia. RGS do so likewise, as they travel across town to Marshbrook to thrash Indionion, a Seung-Yoon Kim brace setting the match up in the Royals favour. However, Olympia are still running clear, keeping the gap at three points with a comeback victory against Half Boy, the Archers grabbing a surprise ealy goal against the league leaders in their bid for survival. Norrion and Royal Jam fall even further adrift of the top three, and the race for fourth place is no more conclusive than before this weekend as they face each other and play out a stale 1-1 draw. At the bottom, it’s bad news for the bottom three, as Seaton thrash FM Town to move 6 points clear of the drop, and with only 7 games to go, the drop does appear to be looming fast.
Xilon OC 1-0 FC Fauxham (AGG: 2-1)
They may be struggling in the league, but the Orienteers are still going strong in the LBCT, and they show that once again with a narrow victory at home to advance to the semi-finals - indeed, they have become only the fourth Eastfielder side to reach the semi-finals in any of the UICA/IFCF competitions.
FM Town 2-0 Walston Brook Albion
Norrion Rovers 5-1 Copper Communists SC
VLC FC 0-1 Seaton Town
Olympia FC 2-0 Royal Jam FC

Nile Bridge 1-0 Half Boy FC
RGS Athletic 2-1 Polkation FC
Indionion Athletic 0-2 Xilon OC
Albion may be playing brilliantly this season, but they’re still not experienced to these heady heights at all, and they’re making their own fair share of slip-ups in this unlikely title bid - this time they’re unable to hold FM Town at bay for long, the Fjorders breaking down the Millers defence with ease, a goal and an assist for Mahdeeya Angelo a good reward for her efforts. That gives some breathing room to RGS, who needed all of stoppage time to find a way past a gutsy Polkation side, after Wright’s opener was cancelled out by Pierre shortly after half-time. Olympia had no such trouble as they waltz past the challenge of Royal Jam, the Strawberries clinging on to the hope of the Challengers Cup spot to salvage their season. They’re now three points off that spot, as Norrion demolish the Communists to move into fourth. At the bottom, Xilon manage to cut the gap to 4 points, moving into fourteenth with an important win over the currently safe Hummingbirds, but FC Tavernia look more and more doomed after they shipped five goals against the Knights.
Walston Brook Albion 2-0 Norrion Rovers
FM Town 0-2 VLC FC
Copper Communists SC 7-2 Olympia FC
Seaton Town 1-0 Tuntingone FC

FC Tavernia 1-1 RGS Athletic
Half Boy FC 0-1 Indionion Athletic
Polkation FC 0-2 Xilon OC
Massive result in the title race. Quite literally. 9 goals are scored in Olympia’s match in Copper City, initially going toe-to-toe with the Communists leading into half-time. A tactical change from the hosts, and two red cards for the visitors after the break completely flipped the script, and the Communists went on to score 6 in the second half, including a hat-trick for Lafayette Dandy. Perfect opportunity for RGS to make up that ground, and they squander it by giving away a late penalty and an equaliser to the Wyverns. A useful point, but not good enough, with wins for both Xilon and Indionion - the latter beating out the Archers on their turf and leaving Half Boy teetering on the brink of mathematical certainty. Back at the top, Albion do make use of their chance though, a crucial win over Norrion that sees them move a point off second and three off the top. Norrion’s faltering isn’t acted on by Royal Jam though, as Nile Bridge manage to hold their counter-attacking play at bay, but aren’t clinical enough themselves to score.
VLC FC 0-1 Walston Brook Albion
Olympia FC 0-1 Norrion Rovers
Tuntingone FC 2-1 FM Town
Nile Bridge 1-4 Copper Communists SC
RGS Athletic 0-0 Seaton Town
Indionion Athletic 1-0 Royal Jam FC
Xilon OC 0-2 FC Tavernia
Polkation FC 1-1 Half Boy FC
Olympia are clearly determined to take this title race to the line, as they contrive to leave Isabell Vargas unmarked at a corner to provide the only goal of the game, the Stags grabbing a big win in their own race for fourth place. It’s a big result for them too, as Royal Jam somehow play even worse than they did last week, gifting Indionion a vital victory in their own battle. Half Boy do grab a point of their own, a nicely deserved away draw against Polkation, but it’s too little too late for the Archers, who have been relegated to the Second Division. Back up at the top though, RGS could have taken the league lead once again, and once again they decided it’s not for them, this time struggling to score an inspired Chaim Fevison in the Seaton net. That opens the door for Albion to leapfrog them into second place and the Champions League spots with a tight win over VLC, drawing level on points with Olympia, and one ahead of RGS.
Xilon OC 0-1 Kabakono City (Banija)
Xilon’s reward for reach the semi-final of the LBCT is a match against the competition’s defending champions, who have looked well on track to pull off the rare consecutive LBCT title. And they continue to do so, as they see off Xilon in Vareona Park. Only a single goal though, which means it’s still on.
FC Tavernia (T1) 2-0 Indionion Athletic (T1)
Polkation FC (T1) 2-1 Encarta CF (T3)
One last hurdle before a date with destiny in the Memorial Stadium, and the weekend kicks off with an all Premier League clash, a match that in the league would have been a relegation 6 pointer. At this point, Indionion are the side that is relatively safe, but you wouldn’t think it on the pitch as it’s the Wyverns that dominate the play, Asmar Rush volleying home the winner on the hour mark. If anything, the other semi-final is a much closer match, as Third Division Encarta CF struck early, a low shot beating Darlene Craven at her near post, before the Art City side struck back on the stroke of half time through Newt Homewood. It was a back and forth second half, but Polkation won out in the end, Ramos-Berardi heading home a free kick to seal their place in the final.
Walston Brook Albion 0-2 Olympia FC

Seaton Town 1-1 Xilon OC
Royal Jam FC 1-0 Polkation FC
FC Tavernia 3-0 Half Boy FC
FM Town elect to break tradition this weekend, as they host RGS, having been demolished by the Royals 9-0 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. It is still a high scoring match, but one where the Fjorders are finishing chances of their own as well - a brace for Cheyanne Harron in the first half saw the hosts head into the break 2-1 up, only for Kim to grab a brace of her own in the second half, including the winning goal from a corner. It’s a win that moves the Royals back into second, as 1st vs 2nd meet in Walston Brook. Albion have a golden opportunity to take control of the league going into the final few games, but experience on the big stage wins it for the Olympians, two well finished team goals keeping them top of the tree. Norrion and Royal Jam keep their gap at 5 points as both sides register wins, the Stags closing the gap to Albion to four points. At the bottom, Indionion manage to keep a clean sheet in their trip to the Communists, a result which now pushes Polkation into 13th - FC Tavernia now move to within 5 points of safety after they see off a dispirited Half Boy team. Xilon themselves hold Seaton to a draw, keeping their thin hopes of survival alive.

Nile Bridge may just have thrown a spanner into the title race, courtesy of Pryor-Sandoval’s left foot beating Thijn Persson from the penalty spot as Nile Bridge derailed Olympia’s title bid. And for once, RGS actually choose to grasp the opportunity handed to them, and on the biggest stage as well - indeed, with both matches played at the same time, VLC were leading up until news of the goal in Bridgetown filtered through, sparking a comeback that saw Jackson and Murray both score late goals to turn that match around. As a result, RGS move two points clear of Olympia, and Albion aren’t too far behind either, ensuring a well fought victory over Tuntingone to move level with the Mount Salt City side on points. At the other end of the table, Polkation dominate their match against the Communists, but a late counter-attack sees Rachael Weaver grab a rather undeserved equaliser for the visitors. It’s a result that sees Xilon OC relegated to the Second Division after their loss to FM Town, whilst FC Tavernia barely hanging on.
Kabakono City 0-3 Xilon OC (AGG: 1-3)
And Xilon manage to turn it right around! 3 goals in Kabakono see the Orienteers send the defending champions packing from the competition and book a place in the final.

The title is going right to the wire, and it looks like it will be a winner take all situation. Leaders RGS are held to a goalless draw by the Knights in Lodgertia, a result that allows Olympia to draw level on points with a win. And a win is what they get as they see off Indionion’s challenge, now only separated from the title by RGS’ vastly superior goal difference. Unfortunately for the neutral, it’s not a three way fight for the title, as Albion fall prey to a Pryor-Sandoval winner against Nile Bridge, a result that in most years would not be unexpected. As a result, the Millers stay in third, three points off the title and with a much worse goal difference, meaning that RGS and Olympia are all but mathematically guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season. Albion and Norrion Rovers will play in the Challengers Cup next season. Meanwhile, Polkation’s draw against Norrion is all they needed themselves to guarantee safety, but FC Tavernia losing confirms that the Wyverns will be in the Second Division next season - however, both sides will meet once more in the Memorial Stadium for the King’s Commonwealth Cup final.

Albion may have been eliminated from the title race themselves, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get to leave their mark on it this week, as they face the league leaders RGS in the King Iqbal II Stadium, whilst Olympia travel to Art City to face Polkation. It’s a simple scenario - RGS win the title if they match or better Olympia’s result, Olympia win if they better the Royals’ result. It’s the only match with major consequences for this season, although Albion will want to hope for at least a draw, or hope Norrion fail to win, in order to guarantee the group stage entry in the Challengers Cup next season. And in terms of pride, VLC in particular will want to end the season with a win, if only to make sure they finish top of the mid-table pack - any lower would be more embarrassing than it already is, and they’re tied on points with Nile Bridge, holding a slightly better goal difference as well.
Olympia start off well, grabbing the opening goal of the two title matches as Zaaid Stepan breaks through the Polkation defence and slots home beneath the keeper shortly before the hour mark. It’s even worse news for RGS soon after, as Sanson breaks the deadlock in New Lodger City to put Albion ahead, converting Hoof’s low cross past Eddie Sadiq. Elsewhere, Norrion put their pressure on Albion with two quickfire goals either side of half time, whilst VLC take the lead early on against Half Boy to secure their place in 6th, although Nile Bridge keep pace, having just taken the lead for the second time against Indionion, leading 2-1 into the break. Norrion’s pressure seems to work though, as Seung-Yoon Kim pops up unmarked in the box to convert Micaela Last’s pullback shortly after the break, and then Polkation do their bit in the title race, Bryant Gil converting a free kick to drag Olympia back to level pegging - as it stands with both matches tied, RGS win the title. The Royals throw everything at Albion to grab the win to make sure of it, but the league’s best defence stay solid defensively, Josias Foster in particular frustrating her former employers with some superb top drawer saves. In the end, it was inevitable - the hosts overstretched themselves, and Albion pounced, Mateusz Hampton firing a long clearance forward for Jonatony Romero to run onto, free pitch between him and the goal. Eddie Sadiq tried to look big and close the angle, but it was to no avail - Romero slid the ball around his outstretched globe to sneak inside the far post. It was a goal avidly celebrated by the away section in New Lodger City, and also in the away section in Art City, as Olympia fans rejoiced. Albion’s defence held out, and Olympia were crowned champions of the ICEL Premier League.
