NSSCRA 11- Everything Thread (IC)

Postby Newmanistan » Sun Jun 27, 2021 6:51 pm

Welcome to the 11th season of NSSCRA!

For the first time, we are going to attempt to run two different series. The main series (Multiversal Cup Series) and the second tier series (EverLong Series). The main series will be scorinated in the manner in which you are accustomed too, or in the same way that seasons 6-10 have been. The second series has all drivers, regardless of their nation, start with a skill level of zero. This puts all nations on a level playing period to begin with for that series. The second tier series only has one scorination of data, there are not five segments that are averaged.

Every "race weekend" will have two days in which information is scorinated. Day 1 will be the qualifying for the main series and the official race results (with qualifying) for the second tier series. Day 2 will be the day in which main series results are scorinated. Day 2 will be the only day where there is an official RP cutoff. Day 1 will not have an official cutoff for RP as the results will be posted at a time similar to what cutoff time typically is, but will be done without a cutoff associated with it.

Ex: In the main series, a race's information reads like this:
Exhibition- (July 10/11)- Exhibition at The Proving Grounds Presented by Rocket Automotive

This means that the cutoff date for this race is July 11
On July 10, qualifying for this race will be posted without a cutoff. It will also be the day that the corresponding second tier series race has it's results posted (as long as with the qualifying).

The first four posts in this thread will be informational.
Post 1 (this post)- contains the information you are reading now.
Post 2 will contain the schedule
Post 3 will contain a list of race winners, and a "scorecard" of which nations used an open charter and how many times it was used by them.

As always, dates are subject to change, and will eventually change. At the moment, I have not scheduled any off day periods other than before the final race. But rest assured, there will be several off day periods during the season. Ample notice will be provided. Reasons for off days to be incorporated in the schedule are primarily my own RL concerns and other major forum events.

THE TEAM

Image

Glorious Free Republic Motorsports was originally founded five seasons ago as St. Kanye's official entry in the Electric Grand Prix (eGP). However, that series never took off, and so the team refocused their efforts into stock car racing. GFR debuted in the sixth season of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA), and now have over twenty wins, consistent playoff performances, and a championship. The current team president is Lucas "Luke" Brown, a former driver and champion in KURT (Kanyean Unified Racing Tournament), the country's top series, and the vice president is Eunice Radetsky.

THE CAR

Image

The team uses the Chadwick Infinite in NSSCRA, the next step in the evolution of St. Kanye's most popular sedan model. Tires and fuel are provided by Tropicorp Racing Supply and Argo Petrol, respectively.

THE DRIVERS

Image

#3 Sage Caldwell

Twii.tur: @SageTheRacer

Crew Chief: Jackson Cohen
Spotter: Bart Easton

Caldwell, 32, is an easygoing fellow who loves racing, basketball, beer, girls, and his dreads. This is his second season in the #3 machine popularized by Skip Stiller, who now runs an Everlong Series team technically allied with GFR. He is still on the lookout for his first career victory and Chase appearance.

Image

#18 Jeremiah Brooke

Twii.tur: @Jeremiah_B
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Regular Season Champion
NSSCRA 8 Regular Season Runner-Up
NSSCRA 9 Regular Season Runner-Up
NSSCRA 9 Champion
NSSCRA 10 Championship Four
1-Time Vilaye Energy Drink 314 Winner

Crew Chief: Ben Warwick
Spotter: Raymond Goldfarb

The 30-year-old Brooke is a fan favorite, especially in his native St. Kanye. Not only is he humble, approachable, and an overall nice guy, he's also one of the winningest drivers in the field, and one championship to his name. On the track, he is often calm and collected, though he used to get really flustered when witnessing big crashes, having been sidelined late in the seventh season because of one. He's getting better, though.

Brooke is the husband of fellow champion driver Stacie Houston, having married each other during the offseason. They have a child on the way, which is the main reason for the Cassadagan's absence from this season's roster.

Image

#46 Thea Alvarez

Twii.tur: @Luna_Althea
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Championship Four
NSSCRA 8 Championship Four
NSSCRA 10 Championship Four

Crew Chief: Kaley Curtis
Spotter: Naomi Hoff

Alvarez is a shy, sensitive girl who enjoys fantasy books and movies, stuffed animals and shoes, and would rather dress cute than sexy. At 23, she is the youngest member of the team. But behind the innocent exterior lies a very tough challenger who has mastered the art of last-second wins ("Yeezie magic", as the media calls it). She draws support and inspiration from the many young fans who look up to her as a positive female role model - and it seems to be working wonders, as evidenced by her four Championship Four appearances in five seasons of competition.

As a good luck charm of sorts, Alvarez keeps a stuffed Cocoabo toy beside her during races. Its name, "Cocoabo #46", even appears above the passenger side window of her cars.

THE SPONSORS

Blood Moon Beer: Longtime sponsor of Sage Caldwell since his time as an R&D driver. The strong, dark beer has become the "unofficial official beer" of NSSCRA - the practice of enjoying a cold one after the race has spread from the Yeezies to the drivers and fans from other countries as well.

QED Car Rentals: The company has remained at the #3 camp despite the driver change. Short for "Quick, Easy, Dependable". For over thirty years, QED has been renting out RVs, limousines, trucks, helicopters, and of course cars, including the road version of the Chad Infinite.

Rich Discount Stores: A primary sponsor for Caldwell and an associate for the rest of the team, the Kanyean retail giant has also been the primary for WGP2 champion Abdoulaye Goita's cameo for the Yeezies in the Pencurve two seasons ago.

Prime Insurance: The insurance company continues their support of the #3 team, appearing for a couple of races, even as their native New Northwesteros will not be fielding a team this season.

Coleman & Thorne: The biggest banking company and fifth biggest private company overall in St. Kanye. Long known for being traditional and old-fashioned, C&T has recently undergone a complete rebrand, hoping to attract the growing number of young professionals in the country (as well as the rest of the Atlantian Oceania region). Both Caldwell's #3 and Brooke's #18 will carry the new logo and colors of the company.

Hyde Medical Group: The biggest healthcare company and seventh biggest private company overall in St. Kanye, Hyde operates hospitals, manufactures medicines and medical equipment, does research, works with medical schools and charities, and gives primary sponsorship to Jeremiah Brooke. Recently, they have also taken their sponsorship into other forms of motorsport, making a deal with Schkeska-VSK Viska Racing, an Aurunan WGPC team.

Vylet: An internet service provider which operates in St. Kanye, New Northwesteros, and soon other countries as well. With their distinctively colored uniforms and vehicles, it's easy to see if someone is having their internet installed or fixed. Vylet is also parodied in the Kanyean sketch comedy R.O.F.L. as "Vylent", a company which sends hitmen after customers who fail to pay up.

GGtech: Pencurve Electronics' brand of gaming accessories like mice, keyboards and controllers, as well as gadgets such as laptops. They also manufacture the track simulators used by both GFR and Stiller's racing school, and will be back as the title sponsor for the regular season finale in the Everlong series, the GGtech 450.

Allclear: Technically not a separate company, but the higher-ups at Hyde have decided that for a couple of races, they will promote their new allergy medication in place of their usual red-white-blue scheme.

Multiversal Automotive Coatings: Thea Alvarez's longtime primary sponsor has also struck a deal with the NSSCRA management to be the new title sponsor for the main tier series, now named the Multiversal Cup Series.

Girls Will Code: A movement that started in Filindostan, promoting the teaching of computer programming among females. (OOC: Girls Will Code logo used with permission - thanks, Fil.)

GOOD TEAM BLUE

Based in: Hapilopper City

Primary: Good Motor Oil (All Three Cars)

Secondary: Sharpe's Coffee Company (Taylor Henderson), Mel's Ultra-Mart (Chris Holmes)

Associate Sponsors: Hapilopper Television Network, Mark Taylor's Bourbon Whiskey, Urban Fryers Fried Foodstuffs, the Hapilopper Exchange of Common Stock, Perfect 10 Motels, Fresh Cola, Magnusvision Televisions

Contingency Sponsors: Redways Hapiloppian Van Lines, Hi-Tech Brake Pads, GOON Chassis Parts, SuperTV Satellite Television, Hobbs Beer, Good Motor Oil, C:\>RetroHut, Pinkerton Engine Bearings, Ida's Parts By Mail, HTS Industrial Manufacturing, Urban Fryers Fried Foodstuffs, EverLong Convenience Stations, Hydroceramic Parts, Slant Radiator Pressure Caps

TEAM PERSONNEL YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW ABOUT.

Team Owner: Amanda McAlister (twii.tur: @Amanda_TeamBlue)
Image

The daughter of Ken Henson, who ran Team Blue from the 1970s until 2019, Amanda McAlister is the calm, mild-mannered leader of Team Blue, running the team through the turbulent times, the high moments and the times where she just wants to strangle Drake Stevenson or Taylor Henderson for doing something stupid. Originally someone with little-to-no interest in racing, McAlister rarely traveled to races until last year. Currently, Amanda is guiding Team Blue through quite the storm - the loss of HapiCorp bank as the team's primary sponsor, but not through their own doing, and their new sponsor, Good Motor Oil. She's also guiding the team through a possible storm a-brewing with Chris Holmes returning to the team, but it seems as if Chris has changed from his first stint with the team. Watch this space.

Driver Coach: Frank Bronson (twii.tur: @Frank_Bronson)
Image

You know this guy. Frank Bronson, retired from the world of racing, is still with Team Blue, working as the team's driver coach for Team Blue, replacing Dale Fitzroy, a former HASCAR driver who didn't really do a lot as the driver consultant. Bronson, retiring from racing, was tapped to serve as the consultant. Frank, of course, recently went through a divorce and was encouraged to stay with the team to keep his mind away from what happened. Frank is said to be one of the smartest auto racing minds in all of Hapilopper and, if he's able to, will be able to help the team compete for victory. Bronson is still quite close to each of Team Blue's three drivers, and the three drivers highly respect him. Bronson, on the track, is still highly regarded as one of Hapilopper's top drivers, winning a race last season and scoring one of the 16 NSSCRA Chase spots. Could he still perform on track? Who knows.

THE DRIVERS.

Image
#81 - DRAKE STEVENSON | Hometown: Hapilopper City | Age: 33 | Twii.tur: @HapiDrake81
HASCAR Starts: 309 | Wins: 54 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 4 (2011, 2013, 2014, 2018)
NSSCRA Starts: 43 | Wins: 1 | NSSCRA Championships: 0 | Super Skychief 500 Wins: 1 (Season 10)
Crew Chief: John Malloy (twii.tur: @j_malloy) | Spotter: Banjo Williams (twii.tur: @BanjoHap)
Driving Style: Somewhat aggressive | Demeanor: Team Leader | Retaliation?: Unlikely

The most well-known Hapiloppian in international motorsport, Drake Stevenson last year got his first international win, and it was, in the eyes of Hapiloppians, the big one - the Super Skychief 500. That victory vaulted Stevenson's name into the annals of immortals in the sport in the Dominion, and is still talked about today. The outside pass on Kai Qiang with five to go. The response from the crowd when he took the checkered flag. The first win. The victory, Drake hopes, will propel him to greater things in the NSSCRA, and he expects nothing less than the absolute most in this NSSCRA season.

Away from the track, it seems like Drake's personal life is starting to level off, which could help him concentrate on racing this year. His romance with Gabriela is now a distant memory, one he hardly thinks about these days. He spends his time racing on the eRacing.com online racing platform, going drinking with Taylor Henderson and listening to a variety of music genres. Drake has reportedly signed with the Hapilopper City Herald to write a column this year about auto racing.

#73 - TAYLOR HENDERSON | Hometown: West Hampton | Age: 22 | Twii.tur: @THendo73
HASCAR Starts: 32 | Wins: 2 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 62 | Wins: 1 | NSSCRA Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Pat Howard (twii.tur: @PitBoxChief) | Spotter: Will Stanton (twii.tur: @HendosEyes)
Driving Style: Extremely aggressive | Demeanor: Sweet but tough | Retaliation?: Oh hell yes

Last season, some of the biggest controversies in the NSSCRA involved one Taylor Marie Henderson, the youngest driver on Team Blue. Taylor, or "Hendo" as her fans and the media call her, had her Hampton Cities aggression come out in a bad way during the last season, taking out Sage Caldwell and then mouthing off about how it was his fault. It was likely the work of Drake Stevenson, trying to get her to relax, that kept the Hendo-Caldwell situation from getting any worse. But her fans like that kind of aggression. They like someone that won't take any baloney from her fellow drivers. She wants to win races and she doesn't give a damn how she does it.

Off the track, Taylor enjoys watching bad late night B-movies and trying out different craft beers, something she apparently does with teammate Drake Stevenson with an interesting regularity. There's nothing there - the two are just best of friends and nothing more, owing to Drake's "I'm not dating anyone" philosophy. But still, it's got some people wondering if there is something there. There are rumors of Taylor wanting to commandeer the Team Blue Center's kitchen for at least one race. Apparently she's a hell of a grillmaster.

#8 - CHRIS HOLMES | Hometown: Buckridge | Age: 27 | Twii.tur: @CHolmes
HASCAR Starts: 30 | Wins: 1 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 56 | Wins: 1 | NSSCRA Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Lawrence Malloy (twii.tur: @larry_m8) | Spotter: Sharp-Eyes Glover (no twii.tur)
Driving Style: Patient | Demeanor: Nervous | Retaliation?: No

Did you ever think you'd see THIS again? Chris Holmes in a Team Blue Super Skychief? After all that happened? Well, it's important to point out that the Chris Holmes that was sacked by Team Blue a year and a half ago is hardly the same Chris Holmes getting ready to suit up in Car 8 for the upcoming season. The Chris Holmes of old was a drunk, a hyper-aggressive driver, and a manchild that people didn't really like associating themselves with. The new Chris Holmes, however, is not any of those things. He sobered himself up. He's much more mellow out on the race track. He's developed a much more positive outlook on life, possibly aided by the addition of his girlfriend, Angela. But it'll be interesting to see if Chris can make it last when he gets out on the track.

Chris is concerned about it, and has reportedly solicited the help of a sports psychologist to help him get through the season. That individual, Kathy Greenman, will travel with Team Blue throughout the season, and her presence has been welcomed as a move from someone that's serious about his desire to turn his life around and not fall back into the old bad habits that wrecked his career and his life a year and a half ago. Away from the track, Chris enjoys the company of his girlfriend, Angela, as well as creating model race cars. Supposedly, Chris is in the process of building a 1:18 scale model of Frank Bronson's 2000 HASCAR Challenge Cup-winning car.

Hapilopper City Airport, Conyers
Departure Day – hours before leaving for Newmanistan
The sun had yet to rise over Hapilopper City. Four in the morning. There were still lights on in some of the city’s many skyscrapers, not surprising given the city’s reputation for having something going on at all hours of the day. Those lights could be seen across the West River in the suburb of Conyers, where Hapilopper City Airport stood, the city’s main airport, and Hapilopper’s gateway to the multiverse. It was here that a Hapiloppian could travel almost anywhere in the world, and certainly anywhere within Atlantian Oceania and the Anaia subregion.

Inside the airport, Christopher Alan Holmes sat nervously at a bench, all by himself, taking in the quiet serenity of an almost-empty airport terminal. There were some people there, mainly people waiting out an overnight layover, and custodians vacuuming the main floors. There was one heavyset man, wearing a western hat, typing furiously about something and muttering to himself about a hotdog baseball player starting a bench-clearing brawl in a championship game, but Chris was trying to tune it all out.

That was easy to do. His mind was full of thoughts that were screaming to him. Thoughts that were scaring him. Thoughts that he couldn’t just slip from his mind, no matter how hard he tried. Thoughts that were instilling doubt and uncertainty in his mind.

What if this doesn’t work?
What if I go back to my old self?
What if I can’t get the job done on the track?

As the offseason drew to a close, Chris went from being confident and excited about the season to quiet and forlorn. Those in the Team Blue Shop asked him what was the issue, but it was hard getting through to him. His girlfriend, Angela Parker, who moved from Buckridge to Hapilopper City to be with Chris, wasn’t having much success either, even as she tried to poke and prod with questions that she hoped would open him up.

Angela had become Chris’s rock in the last several months since they had gotten together. She was a year older, and worked at a coffee shop near the Mel’s Ultra-Mart distribution center that Chris worked at. The two hit it off almost instantly, and realized they were better together than they had ever been apart. Chris was more motivated to work hard to better himself. And he did exactly that. Angela, meanwhile, knew that Chris could help her feel better about herself. After a bad day, Chris would remind her of why she was so great, and that she should never lose sight of why she was as great as she was.

Chris looked up and thought about some things Angela had told her recently. Things that hadn’t resonated with him until just now.

“You know something, Chris?” Angela told him. “I used to have a lot of bad days before I met you. Thanks to you, bad days have become good days, and good days have become great days. But you need to understand something, we’re in this together. We’re going to make it work together. But I need you to open up to me. I’m worried about you, babe, and I’d like to fix whatever’s bothering you, just like you fix whatever bothers me. But I don’t know what’s the problem unless you tell me. You can’t be a wall to me, Chris. It’s not gonna work if you close yourself off. That’s not how relationships work. We’re a team and we’re going to make it work together, but we’re not if you shut yourself down.”

Chris looked up and pulled out his phone. There was a text from Angela wishing him the best of luck in Newmanistan for the exhibition. She wanted to go so badly, but her bosses could not agree with the idea of her taking so many days off to travel to another country, especially being so low on the totem pole at King Bros. Coffee in Hapilopper City, where she worked now. It was 4:30 in the morning, hours before the flight. But he knew Angela was awake – her shift started at 5:30. So he gave her a call.

“Angie? You’re right. We’ve got a lot to talk about,” Chris started. “I’ve got to tell you what’s been bothering me.”

Drake Stevenson’s house, Poplar Prairie, Hapilopper City
The same time
It’s a good thing that flight didn’t take off until 10 in the morning, because Drake Stevenson was still sound asleep. Not in his bed, mind you. He was sound asleep on the sofa in his living room. There were beer cans everywhere, and the big-screen television was showing some really shitty old B-movie from the 70s, the result of Drake binge-watching bad movies the night before. Don’t ask us how he heard the alarm on his cell phone. Maybe it was one of subconscious things. Either way, the alarm went off, and Drake, reaching for his phone on his coffee table, fell off the sofa and right to the ground.
Image
Are we looking at
a cover jinx?

“FUCK…” Drake roared, clutching his head in some degree of pain. He looked around and spotted beer cans all over the place. This wasn’t something he had planned, nor remembered, but didn’t need. Fearing the damage he might have caused the night before, he checked his phone to see if he had done anything stupid. Thankfully, that did not appear to be the case, either on social media, or on any phone calls or text messages.

He staggered himself upstairs and into his bathroom to take a shower, to hopefully wake himself up. Then, once he got himself dressed and ready to go, it would be off to Jane’s Diner to get himself a big-ass meal to help him overcome the hangover he was experiencing. As he walked into the bathroom, he spotted the newest copy of H-Sports Magazine, featuring both himself and his two teammates, Chris and Taylor Henderson. The magazine loudly declared that Drake Stevenson would be the man in the season to come. Drake hated the cover and hated the article.

“It’s gonna curse us,” Drake said to his teammates in a team meeting at the Team Blue Shop. “Then they’re all gonna laugh at us. Oh, look! The champions!”

He shook his head as he disrobed to get in the shower. The pain was starting to go away. It was starting to hit him as he got ready to go to the airport. The NSSCRA season was about to start up again. In a day or so, Drake would be inside his Preston Super Skychief, competing against the best of the best as far as international stock car racing went. And that, more than anything else, gave him life.

Team Tropicorp in Competitive Merger with Team Cassadaigua

Tropicorp Headquarters, Tropicoast, Tropicorp :: Tropicorp Engineering and Team Tropicorp have announced an exciting new venture partnering with Five Star Mobile and Team Cassadaigua to field the famous #27 Blaze during NSSCRA Season 11. The partnership will be both on track and in the shop as the team will consolidate into the Team Tropicorp facilities in Tropicoast, Tropicorp for the upcoming NSSCRA Season. The #27 will compete for Rookie of the Year honors with Everlong Series star Maddie Alexander taking over the driving duties from former NSSCRA Champion Stacie Houston. It was widely expected that Alexander would move straight up to the NSSCRA's top flight with Team Cassadaigua to replace the struggling Bryan Harrison who could only finish 23rd in the NSSCRA point standings. However with Houston stepping back from the drivers seat, the #27 opened up for Alexander to inherit with backing from Houston's long time sponsor Five Star Mobile. It will be the first major change for Team Tropicorp as they pivot in search of competing for the NSSCRA Championship after missing the playoffs completely with their dual Cocoabo lineup during NSSCRA Season 10. While both Cocoabo #28 and Cocoabo #78 are former NSSCRA Race Winners, neither Cocoabo was able to win a race during NSSCRA Season 10 and all three Cocoabo - including Cocoabo #37 in the Everlong Series - failed to advance to the playoff rounds in their respective circuits.

Cocoabo #37 will return to the Everlong Series alongside Veteran Newmanistan driver Bryan Harrison who joins the team to drive the #27 Blaze in the Everlong Series. Tropicorp Developent driver Jixaka Motorai - also a trained Cocoabo keeper from the Cocoabo Enrichment and Enhancement Project will accompany Cocoabo #37 both in the garage and on track piloting Five Star Team Tropicorp's third entry in the NSSCRA's second tier circuit. With a number of the Team Tropicorp seats for NSSCRA Season 11 filled in the merger with Team Cassadaigua, Team Tropicorp also unveiled they will be competing full time in AOCAR with former NSSCRA Multiversal Series drivers Cocoabo #78 and Anavella Ariiki dropping to full time status in Atlantian Oceania's regional stock car circuit. Team Tropicorp's research and development program will largely transfer to the AOCAR Circuit where additional drivers graduating from the Cocoabo Enrichment and Enhancement Project will progress through the ranks and get measured in their progress against the experienced Cocoabo #78 on track.

Team Tropicorp been leveraging the Cocoabo Enrichment and Enhancement Project for their primary drivers since debuting during NSSCRA Season 7 with varied levels of success and a handful of race victories. During NSSCRA Season 9 they signaled their intention to focus less on research and more on results with Cocoabo #28 representing Team Tropicorp and the entire Island Emirate of Turori in the NSSCRA Playoffs. The team would regress during NSSCRA Season 10 however with neither of the Turorian Cocoabo nor home grown driver Anavella Ariiki contending for a playoff spot.

While Team Tropicorp have had varied levels of success during the NSSCRA's modern era, Team Cassadaigua and its #27 and #4 machines driven by Stacie Houston and Meghan Sharpe have been championship contenders throughout the entirety of the the NSSCRA's modern era including winning the NSSCRA Championship. Team Tropicorp will be hoping that bringing that championship pedigree into the shop in Tropicoast will be the boost the team needs to return to the NSSCRA Playoffs and gain an edge on track.

Image

The new Five Star Team Tropicorp will be well funded with Maddie Alexander's #27 Blaze fully funded by Five Star Mobile who will also return to sponsor the Five Star Clash. The #28 will be a co-primary car for the team using the Hybrid Dart Chassis with Cocoabo #28 as the driver and sponsorship from twii.tur, Cocoabo Park and the Cocoabo Preservation Society. The teams third full-time entry for NSSCRA Season 11 will be the #26 that will be driven by former Team Cassadaigua driver Jenna Logan. With both Anavella Ariiki and Cocoabo #78 making the switch to AOCAR, there was still room in the Team Tropicorp driver lineup for Logan, an experienced competitor with a history of winning races in the NSSCRA that will bring valuable experience to the Five Star Team Tropicorp operation. Logan's car will see multiple sponsors throughout the NSSCRA Season a schedule for which has not yet been announced. It is believed that Tropicorp Corporate will be the primary sponsor for approximately half of the races on the NSSCRA Schedule for Logan with the remainder being one-off or multi-race deals with a variety of sponsors which may included other Dagan and Tropicorp brands.

THE OTHER TEAM

Image

Skip Stiller Speedworks with Max Gannon, as its name implies, is owned by former NSSCRA driver Skip Stiller and local racing legend and journalist Max Gannon. The team, which competes in NSSCRA's second tier Everlong Contenders' Series, has a technical alliance with Glorious Free Republic Motorsports of the Multiversal Cup Series.

THE CAR

As with GFR, they use the Chadwick Infinite car model, Tropicorp brand tires, and Argo Petrol.

THE DRIVERS

Image

#20 Daryl Calhoun

Twii.tur: @iamdcalhoun

NSSCRA 10 Runner-Up

Crew Chief: Liuyong Xu
Spotter: Duncan Payne

Calhoun proved to be a surprise for the Yeezies' second tier efforts last season. Despite having little international experience and being a late addition to the team, the 20-year-old racked up four wins and finished runner-up to TJUN-ia's Maddison Riley-Jones in the point standings. Soon after, news broke out that a couple of foreign companies have taken notice of Calhoun's success and agreed to a sponsorship deal with him. Among the names being thrown around were Illustrious Coffee and SubHouse, both from Cassadaigua; Delivery Mouse from North China; and Puroil from Filindostan. (OOC: Please tell me if you don't want your company to be part of the rumors) But it turned out to be none of these. Valentine Z's Voorzichtheid Defense Systems and New Northwesteros' Apocalypse Pest Control would be Calhoun's new sponsors.

Image

#22 Pyotr Lavrentiev

Twii.tur: @CeroatLav

Crew Chief: James Fellows
Spotter: Ethan Petrov

"Lav" was born, raised, and raced in Ceroat. But after unrest in the country caused his team to fold two seasoms ago, he was picked up by the Yeezies to be their developmental driver. His first season in the Everlong series saw him visiting victory lane twice and ending up ninth in points.

Lav's car number changes from #19 to #22 this season. According to Stiller, this was done to avoid having to change numbers if ever Lav makes an appearance in the Cup Series. Yesopalitha's Lilith uses #19 there, while #22 sits vacant with the departure of Hampton Island Racing, who last used it.

THE SPONSORS

Chadwick Dealers: Lav will be factory-sponsored for the entirety of the season; his car will be the signature Chadwick silver, with a red and white Ceroatian checkered pattern. Less a "political statement", due to the lack of any actual cause advertised, and more of a "country pride" scheme.

Voorzichtheid Defense Systems: Before deciding to sponsor Calhoun, the Valentian weapons manufacturer made appearances on their local team's open charter ride, the #63 driven by Marcus Reynolds (now in the #60) and later Jamie Izabella Eirian.

Apocalypse Pest Control: After the disbandment of the Norwestie team, Apocalypse followed their former driver (and founder's son) Tyler Linde to IRACT, the Sherpa stock car series. They didn't completely disappear in NSSCRA though, as they also decided to display their logo and colors on Calhoun's vehicle.

A Cunningham Cloudrunner, a Touring Car special, but will the Stock Car do just as well?

DELANO CITY - Boy has the off season been weird for the multiversal stock car scene. Just a few months ago we were at a banquet honoring the champion and now we've already got thunderous silly season happenings in only a few quick months. For the Xannerians though the above picture may be a huge clue of NSSCRA happenings. Cunningham a brand known for a lot of things non-Stock Car related, such as their ties to the FLOX OMega Division team Delano City SC, has entered a team in NSSCRA. The Cunningham's are one of the Xannerian Auto Industries most well known names and it's great to see them in the sport. One thing to note is that instead of the Rouge, the Cunningham brand will use a car called the Cunningham Estra, a model sold predominantly in Foreign markets despite the name being that of a West Coast Xannerian provence.

As for traditional Xannerian team KRD Team Iona, Derek and his boys will be back but in a limited capacity. The team struggled last year cutting its losses and having the #12 dropped mid-season they also have lost Gwinnett in company, as sister brand Yorkshire has tapped the young Allendowan to drive their SRP900 entry in the Prototype Racing series. Yorkshire like the failed Mercado project is a brand owned by KRD Team Iona investor Knox Autos, and you will be hearing about the project and its progress with blogger and crewmember Tom Mutton right here on http://www.racespace.xan

The last big news is that Road Marietta returns to the NSSCRA Schedule. The track itself was in dire trouble a couple season ago when its owners were found to be dealing in hardcore drugs and using the backside of the track. Well good news is that Derek Iona himself has purchased the track after it was seized by law enforcement and will now be promoting the facility along witht he XCAR season finale it will be holding a 300 mile event for NSSCRA. The race will also be a double header of sorts as the www.visitmarietta.xan 300 race has been announced in Corbin which is south west of Marietta near the port. Meaning that fans can watch the short track on Saturday and the roadcourse on Sunday!

We look forward to an exciting season of NSSCRA!

PIT PREVIEW: SWORD ISLAND

Article Posted at 11:54 AM Sword Island Local Time(SIL)

Well, it's that time of year again. Time to fire up the engines and go racing across the multiverse. But first, what's been happening in the garage area of the two Sword Island teams?

3 Drivers, 2 Series, 1 Number for the 05
One of the main takeaways from last season, other than Micheal Rush not being a fan of Tundra Falls, was that Chris Gordon was damned good. So good, he advanced to the Round of 8, finishing 8th overall and leaving many wondering if he would take over the 05 Multiversal Cup Series ride for the NSSCRA 11 season. Well, he will... for 6 races of the season. The full details of his schedule are unknown at the moment, but all signs point to him running races at Tundra Falls, Hap City, Jalton, and Brisbane. But who will fill in his seat in the Everlong series? With all the talent available to them, somehow dirt track phenom and professional pain in the ass Carson Zanby will get a top tier(that's probably stretching things a bit) seat at one of the most competitive(okay, that is a stretch) teams in NSSCRA tody. This is the same Carson Zanby that once held up the championship leader in the final race of the Victory Performance Parts Pro Stock series. The same Carson Zanby that managed to get booted out of the way by Darian Miller, and the same Carson Zanby who then went out of his way to hunt down Darian and right rear him into the wall. But hey, he does have a slew of Vemon Tour wins and won the Pro Stock title this year, so there is talent there. But the question is will he be able to hold his temper in and produce results. Many liken him to a younger-albeit a much more fiery-Chris Gordon, who also came from a dirt background, but the difference is that Gordon worked his way up the ladder to NSSCRA, whereas Zanby was handed the gig not even a year after he graduated high school. Yep, at 18 years old he is the youngest driver in any series by my estimation. Now I'm not saying this to be hard on the kid, in fact, the opposite. I'm saying this so that everyone doesn't go into this season expecting Zanby to light the world on fire because he probably won't. The main goal of this season for Zanby will be to get as much seat time as possible, same goes for Gordon, so don't be surprised when Rush takes Friday practice off to let Gordon get some valuable time in the 05 machine. Another change is in the pit box, as Eric Knaus will take over as the car chief for the 05 on Sundays while staying with Gordon as the primary crew chief for the Everlong Series car on Saturdays.

Will Lexie Shelby Cool off at Stevens Motorsports?
Lexie Shelby is an interesting driver, to say the least. On paper, she's a perfect fit for the organization. A young driver with plenty of talent, as her nearly 3 month long top-ten streak last season showed, with solid sponsorship from Venom Energy and Cool Blue, who are known to stick with their drivers to the death. However, there are some concerns to be had. For starters, there's her tendency to disappear sometimes, although the same can be said about Chris Gordon. And it's not like there weren't other options to fill that seat, one of which being Ryan Pearson, who was long rumored to be in the #04 car for Stevens Motorsports but due to series regulations, will not be racing in NSSCRA full time next season. However, he will be the team's backup and R&D driver for the season. So what are the expectations for her season in Cup? Well, a couple of top-10 runs and staying inside the top-20 in points are good places to start. Maybe throw in a win and you have an exceptional rookie season. Her crew chief Byran Richmond is also making the jump to Cup racing, leaving the 04 Everlong ride to Byrce Evans and crew chief slash journeyman Aaron Wallace.

Can Collins Make the Show in NSSCRA 11?
Last season the number 35 was a rare sight to be seen on Sundays. However this year for the GoSwordIsland backed team, the intensity has been ratcheted up to an 11 as Collins is now firmly on the hot seat for the time being. She had decent speed last year, even outqualifying Micheal Rush at the exhibition race at Tundra Falls, but none of it ever seemed to translate to the main stage. But with a new chassis and engine program for this season, Collins should have the speed to make the show on a weekly basis. Another piece of the puzzle is new crew chief Hayley York, who freshly retired from a stellar SISCS career is stepping into a role in the pit box. The tandem were fast during the UnionRacing/Stevens Motorsports testing sessions this offseason, and no doubt will they try to continue it in NSSCRA 11. Expectations are for the 35 to be a regular fixture in the grid and for Collins to rack up a few top 10's in her sophomore season

The Best of the Rest
Without fail every season there are some drivers deserving of a ride in NSSCRA that just don't get one. Whether it be sponsorship or off-track reasons, sometimes the eggs don't fall neatly into the basket. For Allison Maddox, her season will be spent prepping for her 2nd SISCS season as NSSCRA team regulations have seemingly gotten in the way of her rookie Everlong season in what was rumored to be the 15 car. However, there is still hope that a spot can be made for her by Tundra Falls as her literal track record proves that she is a phenomenal driver who deserves a shot in the biggest series in the multiverse.

The three cars from the Sherpa Empire represent three separate teams, though they have some shared history, sponsors, and suppliers.

Image

IRACT is one of two domestic motorsports leagues in the Sherpa Empire. The other is an open wheel league known as Sherpa Imperial Motorsports.

IRACT hosts a variety of racing events, but it is best known for its stock car series and its backing of NSSCRA teams. The league's headquarters are in Guilin, but it has a very decentralized structure. The drivers and crews come from many different places -- mostly in the Chinese Territories, but not always -- and each team has a lot of control over their own cars, pit staff, sponsorships, parts and fuel suppliers, and finances. IRACT has traditionally fielded two or three cars, but they will only be fielding one this season as they sold their other charter to billionaire industrialist Dawa Sherpa, owner of Dawa Tractor Company and Wednesday Racing.

The Sherpa Ministry of Culture has never liked IRACT all that much, and they may have pressured IRACT into selling the charter to Dawa. The Ministry sees IRACT as an administrative headache that none of the higher-ups want to deal with, but they haven't been able to justify shutting it down. It has income from ticket sales and corporate sponsors, and people protest loudly every time the government talks about shutting it down.

Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal

Age: 31
Hometown: Dali, Yunnan Territory
Car: AutoModi 378
Sponsors: AutoModi, Mayhem, Xianglian Sportswear, Coco Mart, Seven Peaks Tsampa, Highland Tire, Petrohan (fuel supplier), Wolf Totem Carpets (his mom's carpet store)

Background:

Rinzi started his career as one of IRACT's most notorious backmarkers, but it turned out this was mostly due to an underfunded team and an unreliable car. When AutoModi asked if he'd like to drive for them, Rinzi immediately agreed -- and immediately started getting better results. It was enough to make the jump to NSSCRA, where he's had a successful career over the last three seasons. He has a reputation for pulling off well-timed wins when he's on the verge of elimination in the Chase, but he has never quite made it to the championship 4.

Rinzi's rise from IRACT backmarker to NSSCRA star happened very quickly, and he attributes it to divine blessings from Allah. He attributes a lot of things to divine blessings from Allah, and he mostly tries to be a good Muslim, but he sometimes lets little things slide on the theory that he can have fun now and apologize to God later. He likes to be the life of the party.

His wife Tashi is one of the most successful black fashion models in the Sherpa Empire, but that's not saying much. There is not a significant black community, and the demand for black models is a niche market. Rinzi met her at an AutoModi marketing event in Concord Heights, Cassadaigua -- so they'll be disappointed that Concord Heights is not on the NSSCRA calendar this season.

Yulha Sherpa College is the Sherpa Empire's most prestigious school for the Deaf. They've had an NSSCRA charter since season 7 when some of their students put together a team. The people who were on that original team in season 7 have graduated by now, but the team is still going and it is still affiliated with the school. The current team is a mix of veterans and current students.

The school offers assorted internship opportunities both working for the team and reporting on NSSCRA.

Although Yulha Sherpa College is traditionally a school for the Deaf, its involvement in NSSCRA has attracted increased interest from people who are not Deaf. The school, students, and alumni have mixed feelings about this. It's nice to get lots of applications for admission, but some people worry that the school is losing its unique character as a sanctuary for Deaf culture. These are often the same people who worry that technological advances in hearing aids -- which have made deafness increasingly curable -- will undermine their community and culture.

At the same time, non-Deaf people who are interested in the NSSCRA internships are often frustrated that the school still requires all students to learn sign language.

Tsering Chu

Age: 23
Hometown: Nanjing, Jiangsu Territory (but now living in Guilin)
Car: TMW Phoenix
Sponsors: Yulha Sherpa College for the Deaf, Khamdo Electronics, Kinetik Energy Drinks, Prana, Srivatsa Solar, Highland Tire, Petrohan, TMW

Background:

Tsering Chu and her friend Mendok Sherpa started the Yulha Sherpa College NSSCRA team in season 7, but she took seasons 8 and 9 off to finish her degree and have a kid. When Tsering returned in season 10, she struggled to get back into the swing of things and did not make the Chase. Toward the end of the season she was starting to see better results, so she is hopeful that she can bring some of that momentum into season 11 and have a better season this year.

Chu has a lot of potential, but she is kind of shy and not the most self-confident person in the world. She is Deaf, and her disability sometimes makes it more difficult to socialize. However, she is very appreciative when people do make the extra effort to get to know her. She is a kind and compassionate friend to the people who know her well.

She has a custom-made system to communicate with her crew during races, since the usual radio chatter would not work.

She is married to Kai Qiang, a fellow NSSCRA driver, and she chose the number #43 so she would be able to park next to his #44.

Lhakpa-TMW, aka Wednesday Racing, is a new NSSCRA team that recently purchased a charter from IRACT. It is backed by wealthy industrialist Dawa Sherpa and car manufacturer TMW.

Wednesday Racing has existed as an open wheel racing team for several years, but only recently decided to team up with TMW and branch out into NSSCRA. Dawa Sherpa named the team after his daughter Lhakpa, but some media sources translate "Lhakpa" as if it was a word instead of a person's name. Lhakpa can be translated as "Mercury" or "Wednesday" -- and you may see both translations depending on what language you read your NSSCRA coverage in.

The combined Wednesday Racing and TMW team is called "Lhakpa-Tsang" in the original Sherpa, "水星藏" (Shuixing-Zang) or "水星藏队" in Beihua's Chinese-language NSSCRA coverage. Domestic English-language media will probably stick with "Wednesday Racing" or "Wednesday TMW" -- but international media are free to use other variations.

The team owner Dawa Sherpa made his fortune in the farm machinery business, and Dawa Tractor Company is willing to provide hay rides as a fan activity or just a way for people to get around at NSSCRA tracks.

Kai Qiang (强凯)

Age: 29
Hometown: Guilin, Guangxi Territory
Car: TMW Phoenix
Sponsors: TMW, Dawa Tractor Company, Guangxi Telecom, Westlake Tea, Prana, Srivatsa Solar, Auntie Shang's Fish Cakes, Highland Tire, Petrohan

Background:

Kai Qiang is from a poor farming family, but caught a lucky break when he was able to compete in NSSCRA 6, with some financial help from his friend Lakpa Fang. Fang is a mediocre IRACT driver, but he is better-known for his baseball career where he was a brilliant closer for the Guilin Pangolins and the Sherpa national team.

Qiang is generally regarded as the best stock car driver in the Sherpa Empire and he has won an NSSCRA championship in season 8.

He's a little erratic, moody, and not very well-adjusted because he went through a lot of traumatic experiences when he was younger. His parents died young -- both deaths that might have been preventable with better medical care or stronger workplace safety standards. His mother died in childbirth giving birth to his sister, and his father was killed in a construction accident.

Even though he is successful now, he still has a lot of baggage, a lot of impostor syndrome and survivor guilt and resentment.

He is married to Tsering Chu and Mendok Sherpa, the two friends who started the NSSCRA team at Yulha Sherpa College. Tsering is his favorite, but he already had a daughter with Mendok by the time he figured that out, so he wound up marrying both of them. They have two daughters Kami and Sima. Both kids are very young.

The paint scheme above is sponsored by Guangxi Telecom and will run at most races in countries where GXT products or services are available. However, GXT is not available in all countries. For example, they don't offer service in Valentine Z because they don't want to mess around with all the interdimensional logistics and the high tech level of the domestic competition.

GXT also doesn't want to pay to run their paint scheme at races where the main sponsor is a rival telecom company. They feel that it's not a great investment to put their name out there if it's just going to be drowned out by a local sponsor's publicity blitz.

For the races where Qiang doesn't use the GXT paint scheme, he will be running this alternate scheme with Westlake Tea as a sponsor:

The Green Racing Shop, Eastbay Park, Northwinds
A few weeks before leaving for Newmanistan
Bart Wheeler was probably a fish out of water as he got ready to go to Newmanistan. He was well known within Northwinds’ racing scene, but internationally, Northwinds was practically unknown. Sure, they had attempted a World Baseball Classic quite a few years ago, but that’s the extent of what people knew about the small island country in the eastern portion of Atlantian Oceania. Bart had gotten involved with the Green brothers, who had run a top race team in Northwinds’ top racing series, the Northwinds Touring Car Championship. Now they had decided they wanted to run in NSSCRA, having watched teams like Team Blue succeed on the top level of the sport.

But at least they had sponsorship and a lot of money coming their way. The Falcon Tobacco company, through their Birch Cigarettes brand, had agreed to come on to sponsor the team. There was a lot of money in tobacco still in Northwinds, so at least funding wasn’t going to be a problem like there had been for other teams. Mike and Charles Green, the co-owners of Green Racing, had heard about the troubles that Wreckeria’s Scott Hawking had dealt with trying to find funding for an entire season, so to get that kind of sponsorship from a tobacco company went a long way for them.

The only thing that concerned Bart and the Green brothers, however, was getting to the level of competitiveness that the NSSCRA required. They had heard about how Team Blue, Hapilopper’s gold standard of race team, had struggled mightily in its first season. They heard about how Scott Hawking had done alright in his first few races, but couldn’t do anything worth anything after that.

As the three talked about it in a meeting at the Green Racing Shop, the three wondered what they’d need to do. Mike Green had an idea.

“There’s this guy I know, he’s a mechanical wizard,” Mike said. “His name is Babe Wilkes, he did some consultant work for us and for one of the major manufacturers. He can help us get competitive.”

Charles and Bart looked at Mike a little uneasily. Babe Wilkes was known as a mechanical genius, sure, but he was also known for something entirely different – his willingness to go completely outside a racing rulebook to get that extra advantage. Numerous rules in Northwinds motorsport had been written because of Babe’s work. But still, it wouldn’t hurt to try. After all, Babe was one of the best chassis men in all of Northwinds, and he had some interesting ideas about engines, too.

“So what you’re saying is, we’re gonna cheat?” Bart asked.

“If you don’t get caught, you’re a genius. If you do, you’re a damn fool. Babe don’t get caught that often,” Mike said. “I mean, if it gets us to the front of the field, it’ll be worth it.”

So the three agreed to call Babe Wilkes, who was more than happy to work with the team as the crew chief and chief mechanic. The day he arrived at the shop, Mike Green handed him something that had arrived in the mail from Newmanistan just the other day.

“This is the NSSCRA rule book for the coming season,” Mike told his new hire. “I want you to study this and do whatever you can to exploit every loophole you find. Don’t ask me if it’s OK, the answer will always be yes. You won’t hear from me, I’ll let you do your job.”

The message to Babe was simple: The Green brothers were going to stay hands-off, so long as he produced a finished product.

And in the span of three weeks, Babe produced a car that he felt could get past the NSSCRA tech inspectors, complete with a few items that he figured he could get away with. His hours were strange – he’d pop into the shop around 5 p.m., do some studying, come up with some ideas, and implement them. He’d leave around 9 a.m., get some sleep and return at 5 p.m. the next day.

When Bart Wheeler saw the finished product, a huge smile came about his face. He wasn’t sure how fast it would be – after all, they would be competing against the multiverse’s best – but they had someone that was going to get them up to the front in a hurry. He chuckled at the idea of beating some of the multiverse’s best with their little team.

If he only knew how cheated up the car really was.

HAPEX LOSES CHASE DATE, BUT GAINS SO MUCH MORE
By Doug Goodman, the Hapilopper Television Network

HAPILOPPER CITY – In most instances, the announcement of the loss of a NSSCRA Chase date would be the cause of frustration for track promoters. But for Rod Hargrove, executive director of the Hapilopper National Exhibition, which oversees the Hapilopper City Raceway, it wasn’t a big problem.

Rather than its September date to start the NSSCRA Chase, Hapilopper’s Great Race, the Super Skychief 500 has been moved to the end of May, around the time the summer truly gets underway for Hapiloppians, and even better, a second race, on the HNE Half-Mile, has been added the week before, marking a very rare time that two consecutive NSSCRA points-paying races have been intentionally scheduled in the same nation.
With that, the Hapilopper National Exhibition has been rescheduled to start in mid-May, and will run through the month of June.

“Honestly, May is a better date for us,” Hargrove said. “We understand there will be some disappointment for losing the Chase date, but this is a perfect opportunity for us to kick off the best summer ever with the greatest party that Atlantian Oceania has ever seen.”

Hargrove has said that HapEx has continually received requests to move the event to the start of summer, rather than the end of it, to allow attendees an opportunity to attend more of it without having to worry about school the next day. The event was moved to the start of summer a couple of years ago to a very positive reception, but was moved to September last year after exhibition officials were informed that they had been granted a date at the start of the Chase.

Hargrove said he hopes that the Super Skychief 500 and the new race on the HNE Half-Mile will be staples on the NSSCRA calendar in May for years to come.

“The fans have asked for it, Hapiloppians have asked for HapEx to start the summer for years, and we’re granting it,” Hargrove said. “We’d like to thank our friends in Tundra Falls for allowing it.”

While the Super Skychief 500 will be the centerpiece of the Hapilopper National Exhibition, a great deal of buzz surrounds the new race on the HNE Half-Mile, the first dirt oval on the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series calendar in history. The race will be 250 laps in length and will be held eight days before the Super Skychief 500, on a Saturday night alongside the HNE Half-Mile’s usual Saturday Night program of bomber stocks, street stocks, sportsman stocks, limited late models and big block modifieds.

That means that the multiverse’s best stock car racers, along with the Team Blue three, will be rubbing shoulders with the weekend warriors that compete every week on the HNE Half-Mile and other local tracks in the Hapilopper City area on the weekends, while they work their usual 9-to-5 jobs on the week.

There is talk of a $10 million prize for a driver should they win both Hapiloppian races, but nothing has been confirmed as of press time.

One of the multiverse’s best, Drake Stevenson, said on Friday that he was pumped to come back to the HNE Half-Mile for the first time since winning the track championship there in 2008.

“This is where I started racing,” Drake said. “You learn so much when you run on the dirt. You learn to handle yourself out there, and you learn to improvise. A track changes so much over the course of a race. It might start off where you’re best against the cushion, and it might end where you’re running against the inside wall. I’ve always felt that the best racers come from dirt.”

Stevenson also said that he would be entering the Berman Bros. Classic the Wednesday night before, a race in the Dominion Outlaw Series Super Late Model division, and recommended that as many NSSCRA drivers as possible run it too, or any other race held at the half-mile dirt oval.

“I don’t know how experienced some of those boys are on dirt,” Stevenson said. “They are going to need to learn it, because you can’t expect to go out there and treat it like a paved track. It’ll bite you the second you turn the car at speed. You’ve got to learn about how the dirt is going to be. You’ve got to learn how to handle yourself out there. There’s so much about dirt racing that these NSSCRA boys need to know before they can be competitive out there.”

Stevenson also said he’s looking forward to seeing drivers he hasn’t seen since starting out in HASCAR in 2009.

“It’ll be nice to get back to my roots,” he said.

Beiyang is North China's largest car company. They made their international racing debut in NSSCRA 10, with mixed results. The team did not perform up to the company's expectations, and there was much consternation at corporate HQ. Beiyang has a corporate rivalry with the Sherpa manufacturer TMW, and they have historically been able to compete on near-even footing. There have been times when one brand or the other was more popular, but they have both been competing for the same market niche for several decades, and neither company has been able to consistently dominate the other. So it was very embarrassing for Beiyang when their NSSCRA team could not keep up with the TMWs of Kai Qiang and Tsering Chu. The last time Beiyang was so badly outclassed by TMW was during the Second World War, when Beiyang's production was shut down and the factories were repurposed for weapons manufacturing.

For season 11, team principal Xuan Tou has been replaced by Lijing Deng, and the team has been cut down to two cars instead of three to make it more manageable, they have a cushy new sponsorship from Delivery Mouse, and former driver Hengxing Tian was let go due to various behavior and attitude issues.

Image

#70 Gongming Gao
Gongming Gao will be returning the in the #70 car. Gao is from Lanzhou, in western China, home of delicious noodle soup and disgusting air quality. He had a few years of domestic racing experience before jumping into NSSCRA, but the Chinese racing scene is quite small compared to powerhouses like Saint Kanye, Vilita, or Pharak.

In fact, racing fans in Lanzhou can't even make up their minds whether to root for their local driver Gao, or for Rinzi Zakhilwal. Many of Lanzhou's Muslim population root for Rinzi because of their religious and ethnic connection, and there is a rivalry between the Gao fans and the Rinzi fans.

Image

#12 Ricky Lee
Ricky Lee was a development driver with GFR, but he moved to Beiyang when they offered him a full-time ride. There were some frustrating moments early in the season as Beiyang ironed out the kinks in their operation, and Lee's sponsor Auto Realm threatened to pull out. However, things improved as the season went on; and Lee, Beiyang, and Auto Realm have all decided to give it one more chance, to see if this team can reach its full potential.

Everyone at Beiyang is on notice that the company expects better results this year, and their jobs are on the line if the results don't come.

(OOC: Thanks to Kanye for the design of Lee's car.)

Short History
Badai Angin Tim Motorsport entered the 8th season of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA) after acquiring the assets of Ajian team Kissan Motorsport (KISMO) during season 7 of the competition when the latter became defunct after the end of the previous season. Entering three full-time teams with all rookie drivers in their first season, overspending of their budget as well as a lackluster technical package of engine, chassis, and tyres caused them to miss most of the races, and their two charters taken away from them. As a result, the operation downsized to a single-car full time team and one part-time team for Season 9, where their performance improved, keeping their charter for the entire season and qualifying for all their attempted races.

Season 10 saw an expansion to two full-time teams, the #0, and the #00 teams which were driven by former national stock car champions Hana Bhe and Fiona Sunarya. The team entered a third entry in Filindostan with FISCAR runner-up Mercy Binayas. The season also saw the first win for the organization as Fiona Sunarya drove her #00 car to victory at the TJUN 600 and subsequently qualified for the playoffs, being eliminated in the Round of 16 with a heartbreaking moment as Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal won the race to pip the Filindo out of 12th place.

Season 11 will see another expansion as the third team will run full-time, and will have their first foreign driver in the organization's history as Rockii Ezis will take over the flagship team, with Hana Bhe being moved to the third team. The organization also announced partnerships with Aji No Moto's Katana Racing to field one full time entry in the Multiversal Series as well as Rusty Motorsports operating the open charter hold for current WGPC driver Rustom Ibuna.

Short History
The #60 Team is the flagship team of BA Tim. The car was driven by former national stock car champion Hana Bhe since their debut in NSSCRA 8 up to NSSCRA 10, placing 27th in the exhibition race of the former. For their first season, the car was numbered #0, mainly sponsored by Descension, a business process outsourcing company in Filindostan. However, the car did not perform as expected by the team, qualifying in the lower positions and in many cases, only qualifying due to the team having a charter. In 12 races it made, the car only placed as high as 37th place as well as having four DNFs, including one at their home race at the Yoggy Oval. Before the Toys 4 All 500 qualifying at Lonngeylin Ring, the team's charter was reallocated, causing the team to need to qualify by speed, which they failed to do for the rest of the season.

During the offseason, there were many rumors of either BA Tim pulling out of the NSSCRA or reorganizing their structure, with news of them bringing back Chiemi Hino to the competition, who at the time is contracted driver under the Badai Angin drivers' programme. Shortly before Season 9 started, the organization scaled back their operations, keeping the #0 as the sole full-time team, keeping Bhe as the driver and sending the other drivers to other programs. The remaining sponsors of the other teams were consolidated to the sole entry and as a result had many various paint schemes from Descension, Solymok, VeniLoans, and Zalada, with Badai Angin being the sponsor for the home race at Yoggy Oval.

Bhe found herself struggling at the back of the field in the first five races before scoring her first top ten in Ruwani Motor Speedway in Banija. She would get her first top 3 in her home race in the Yoggy Oval, finishing 3rd. The team would improve significantly compared to last season, getting 2 top 3s, 3 top 5s, and 10 top 10s in this season, and despite rumors of Bhe being considered to be replacing Meagan Sharpe in the #4 Team Cassadaigua entry for Season 10, the organization decided to offer an extension to the Filindo driver beyond the ninth season. Bhe would ultimately finish 24th in the drivers' standings.

Bhe had a strong start in NSSCRA 10, with the team co-sponsored by Descension and Zalada, a Filindo online shopping mobile app, having five top 10s and having a best finish of 3rd in Squidroidia. Bhe was well inside playoff contention with four races remaining in the regular season, but failure to finish inside the top 20 in any of the four races eliminated her from playoff contention. Despite a sixth place finish in Yoggy Oval during the playoffs, she was not able to remain in the Top 20 in points, finishing 21st in the drivers' standings.

Late in the season, rumors started to surface regarding the signing of Vilita and Turori driver Rockii Ezis from Rocket Motorsports to replace Bhe in the flagship team. This was confirmed during the offseason, with the car number renumbered initially to #09, but was renumbered again to #60 to reflect Ezis' initial car number while driving for Vilita and Turori Motorsports in NSSCRA 6. The team will be fully funded by the CoCoCo entities and Cocoa-bo Eatery for NSSCRA 11 and will take the charter of the #00 team last season which made it to the Top 20 due to qualifying for the playoffs last season.

The #99 Team is the second team of BA Tim, and was driven by former national stock car runner-up Ilham Lukas Jenie in their debut in NSSCRA 8, numbered #00 at the time, and placing 32th in the exhibition race. For their first season, the car was mainly sponsored by Solymok, from Gergary. However, the car did not perform as expected by the team, qualifying in the lower positions and in many cases, only qualifying due to the team having a charter. In the 7 races it made, the car only placed as high as 39th place as well as having five DNFs. Before the Yoggy 500 qualifying at the Yoggy Oval, the team's home race, the team's charter was reallocated, causing the team to need to qualify by speed, which they failed to do for the rest of the season.

During the offseason, there were many rumors of either BA Tim pulling out of the NSSCRA or reorganizing their structure Shortly before Season 9 started, the organization scaled back their operations, keeping the #0 as the sole full-time team, and sending Jenie to the Hodoran GT championship. The Solymok sponsorship of the #00 was moved to the flagship #0 and the team was shut down for season 9, allocating the pit crew to the #99 FISCAR team of Fiona Sunarya during that time.

However, at the NSSCRA race at Cocoa-bo Speedway in Starksville, Cassadaigua, it was announced that the team would be reactivated as the #83 with Sunarya driving six races during Season 9. Eventually, the #83 entry was run for the rest of the season but was operated using Dahon cars and a separate team (joint Dahon and Nasional Tim Motorsport entry) operating it. During the time when the #83 entry was operated by BA Tim, they qualified for every race they attempted, finishing as high as 24th in the TMW 500 at the Ramba Test Track. The team also participated as the #000 at the Rumble in the Rice Fields in Guilin, but failed to get the available open charter spots after finishing 13th. Sunarya would wound up 54th in the drivers' standings. Before the end of the season, it was announced that Sunarya will be moving up to the NSSCRA series for Season 10 with the #00 number bought from Jaguar Racing which used the number for Michael Stefan during Season 9.

Before the start of the season, MasayaBee, a Filindo fastfood chain, has announced to sponsor 18 of 26 races including the exhibition with the other 9 sponsored by Descension and their Girls Will Code initiative. Sunarya struggled to qualify for races at the start of the season, missing the Exhibition race at Tundra Falls and barely qualifying for the Tundra Falls 500. At her fifth start in her tenth attempt, she gave the organization their first win in NSSCRA when she took the chequered flag at the TJUN 600, locking her in the playoffs. The second charter reassignments saw her team receive the charter from the #29 Itzal Lasterketa team that guaranteed her to start every playoff race. At the final round of 16 race at their home in Yoggy Oval, she narrowly missed the cut line as Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal, needing a win to make it to the next round, crossed the finish line first, rendering Sunarya's 16th place finish not enough to advance. She would finish 5th in Taipingxi to wrap up her debut season in 16th place in the drivers' standings and win the Rookie of the Year honors as the only rookie to qualify for the playoffs.

This season, Masayabee will return to sponsor the team full time, with co-sponsorship from Zalada which moved from the then #0 team. The team will also receive the charter for the #0 team last season which was enough this time to have a charter allocated this season despite finishing outside the top 20 in owner points.

Short History
The #0 Team is the research and development team of BA Tim, and has been driven by Badai Angin Young Drivers Programme member Franklin Egar in their debut in NSSCRA 8, placing 34th in the exhibition race. For their first season, the car was numbered #80 and was self sponsored by Badai Angin. However, the car did not perform as expected by the team, failing to qualify for all but one of the NSSCRA 8 schedule, when Egar qualified 36th in the Atlas 799K at the Aurora Motorsports Park in Esmerel, and Descension providing sponsorship for the race having moved the paint scheme from the #0 team who failed to qualify for the event.

During the offseason, there were many rumors of either BA Tim pulling out of the NSSCRA or reorganizing their structure. Shortly before Season 9 started, the organization scaled back their operations, keeping the #0 as the sole full-time team, and sending Egar to the Hodoran GT championship. The team was shut down for season 9, allocating the pit crew to the #0 FISCAR team of Mercy Binayas during that time. Binayas made one appearance in the #0 car in the IRACT-sanctioned Rumble in the Rice Fields, but failed to finish the race. The #80 team would not make any appearance in Season 9 and the number is allocated the the UrGa entry of Leonidas Baxter.

The team made a return in the NSSCRA as the #99 in the Yoggy Oval as the open charter hold for Mercy Binayas's NSSCRA debut. The team was planned to make an appearance as an unchartered entry at the last race of the season in Tundra Falls, and had been planned to have a charter from the #0 team, but the team was discouraged from doing so. Binayas was planned to make her debut in NSSCRA 11 as a full-time driver of the #99 team, but with the organization signing Rockii Ezis to take over driving duties for the flagship team, Hana Bhe was moved from the flagship team to the R&D team, taking the #0 and the Descension sponsorship with her and will run the season with no charter, having to qualify for each race. Binayas would drive for Rusty Motorsport full-time in the Everlong Contenders Series driving their flagship #71 this season.

Badai Angin academy driver and FISCAR regular Mercy Binayas drove the car with sponsorship from Orion Company. The rest of the races in the schedule were operated by Katana Racing and their driver Tadashi Mitsubishi. In three races where Binayas did not race, the team provided technical support for Mitsubishi's entry. Binayas had two top 10s in her six races with the team.

The team shut down at the end of the season as the organization will focus on three full time entries in NSSCRA 11. Binayas and the Orion Company sponsorship moved to the Rusty Motorsport's #71 entry and will run full time in Season 11.

Short History
Rusty Motorsport is a Filindo-Gergarian racing organization based in San Marco, Filindostan, with their racing shops currently adjacent to Badai Angin Tim Motorsport in Yogyakulta. The organization is owned by Filindo WGPC driver Rustom "Rusty" Ibuna, which he has 80 percent ownership. The remaining 20 percent is owned by Deutschmagyar Racing (DMR), which is represented by their President of Team Operations, Ilona Tot. The partnership was initially formed to field an entry for Gergarian ex-open wheel racer, Barnabas Mate, which he cannot race for Badai Angin's NSSCRA operation as they have recently switched tyre suppliers to Tropicorp, and Mate was contracted to rival Solymok at the time of his first season in the Everlong Series.

During Season 10, there were plans to use DMR's Gergarian racing license to represent the nation in NSSCRA, however, Domonkos Virag, chancellor of Gergary, declined the proposal citing budgetary concerns, and thus, Rusty bought some of the shares owned by DMR to have a majority 80-20 ownership and take the sole naming of the team to Rusty Motorsport. Only the #72 team driven by Mate will have an ownership stake by DMR. They signed an alliance with Badai Angin Tim Motorsport, who shut down their entire Everlong series operations due to expanding back to three full-time teams in the Multiversal Series, with Rusty Motorsport entering two entries running Badai Angin development drivers and having the rights to run the open charter hold owned by the organization.

The team was sponsored by Solymok, who also supplied tyres to the team, and John T. Cole. Mate had a great debut season, finishing in the top 10 on half of the races he ran, and making it to the playoffs, before being eliminated from contention at the end of the Round of 12 in China.

This season, as a result of the alliance between Rusty Motorsport and BA Tim, Mercy Binayas, former runner-up in the domestic FISCAR series, will run the flagship car and will displace Mate to the newly-formed #72 team.

This blog was written by Derrick Carlisle, Jaguar Racing's Social Media Manager

Well well well, nice to see you all here once again! After a very entertaining first season in the world of stock car racing, including both real highs and real lows, NSSCRA X arrived with 2 drivers looking to take names once again and a new face looking to become a pioneer in the newly-formed Tier 2. After a "free year" which saw management change at the very top, the MRO entrusted Harpa with the survival of this team of Dart cars and Tropicorp tyres and of the now-famous team spirit of fairness and acceptance for all we were known for by then. She set her own targets for her first full season in charge of this unit and the fans were hoping that they would come true, too.

To say that Season 2 of Jaguar Racing was simple wonderful would be the understatement of the year. That open-wheel guy who was the best of the rest in S9 would take a step up in S10, claiming another win on the way to the team's first Chase appearance that could've lasted until the Top 8 if not for some late Yeezie Magic. The young whizz may have done a bit worse than his tally in S9 but he still had a memorable season nonetheless as a relationship was blossomed out of the poison of the gil (who, by the way, returns for this season - which is nice to see). The new face looking to become a pioneer not only was one of the big names in the newly-christened Everlong Contenders Series, but she also became its first Champion in dramatic fashion to become many things at once: JR's first champion, TJUN-ia's first NSSCRA Champion and the first motorsports athlete to earn her way into the TJUN-ian Hall of Fame.

With all that behind us now, the winter threw up surprises that meant a bit of a change of plan heading into our 3rd season in this sport. A planned 3-pronged push in the newly-christened Multiversal Cup Series has been bolstered by a weakened field and the awarding of a 2nd charter to us, meaning JR will have 2 cars guaranteed to start the first race for the very first time. The plan was to bring someone new for the Contenders challenge but some unexpected events mean that now, it will be a 2-pronged attack bolstered by some unexpected help from South Newlandia. The new "Fantastic Five", as the press is calling them, are ready to rumble once more and with the schedule we have on the horizon, we know that you will be as well! Jungle Fever Weekend at Race 14 will mean that the intense battle for Chase spots will take centre stage while the debut of the new Race of Oceania in Wollongmatta Bay (home to 2 of our drivers now) will surely bring racing fever to an area of TJUN-ia usually untouched by the international sporting world. With all that to look forward to, our third season here may be the best one yet...

"ÍSFRÚIN" HARPA GYLFISDÓTTIR

Age: 29
Place of Birth: Nýttheimili, NAU Zone
twii.tur @: @IsfruinJR
Managing Style: Straight And To The Point, Not Afraid To Make A Statement If Required
NSSCRA 10 Record: First Full Season In Charge, Got A Car In The Chase And The Everlong Crown Too!
Favourite TJUN Rep: Froslass (Faroe Islands/FRO)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Gorillaz - Charger (feat. Grace Jones)

Nýttheimili in the Island of Europa is quaint and small but has produced two siblings who have certainly represented the town and all of TJUN-ia with pride. The first is Harold Gylfisson, TJUN-ia's No.1 Goalkeeper and a name everyone knew. He's a wall in the net when he wants to be and has been through a lot in his journey to the top. At the beginning of NSSCRA 9, no one but a few knew of his sister - Harpa Gylfisdóttir, who was a supervisor on the MRO's Board of Directors at the time and one of the few people who helped greenlit the creation of JR itself. During the first half of our debut season, she just did her job and worked in Peninsula for the company she loved but after the race after TJUN-ia first home one, she got a phone call that would throw Ísfrúin into the spotlight.

Her predecessor, the man known as Daniel Marx, and made a critical error. His great friend, now former Team Blue Manger Chet Byrd, had referred to a female driver (probably Liangmei Li) as a dumpling whilst under the influence (thanks in no part to TJUN-ia's Free Alcohol policy). In an attempt to heal the wounds the weekend after, in Jebslund, he sent a hamper of leftovers from Jungle Fever to Team Blue including the most shocking food item of all: dumplings. Happiloper's Taylor Henderson found them and unleashed a world of pain on twii.tur that would eventually catch the attention of the MRO and Marx would get the axe. The MRO wanted to find someone new for the position who could represent a JR who would never stoop that low again, and what better person than a woman?

She took over with the bricks already laid for NSSCRA X, with sponsors and Dart cars and Tropicorp tyres already approved for use in the following season. Her main job was just to steer the ship in the right direction and she certainly did that, managing the team to its first win, Pole and podium in her short tenure. As a result, the MRO activated its endgame: giving the Ice Queen full control of JR's day-to-day operations. She had a kingdom of her own and from then on, Nýttheimili had a famous daughter as well as a son. Her first full season was fruitful as well, with Car #07 getting another win and a spot in the Chase while Car #03 managed to grab 3 and the 1st ever Everlong Contenders Title. If there is anyone that TJUN-ia can rely on in this sport, then Ísfrúin is certainly the one.

After a momentous step was taken in Season X, Season 11 brings new challenges to TJUN-ia's racing team and to Gylfisdóttir. With both #07 and #64 starting with charters for the very first time (thanks in no part to the notable absences of both Team Cassadaigua and Hampton Island Racing), the aim for both is a two-pronged charge towards the Chase if possible (if either can win a race this season, of course). Car #03 won't be able to defend the T2 crown this time around, but the aim is now to develop as a non-charter and try to qualify for as many races as possible. As for both #97 and #96, the unexpected expansion caused by the end of last season now leads to a two-pronged attack in T2, both looking to develop their skills in an easier environment. A new paint scheme is also in effect thanks to our mates in Saint Kanye, with a special version being used by The Boys in The Chase races, the TJUN 600 and two other races to represent an ally (#44) and a foe (#96). No matter how things go from here, it will certainly be another interesting season for Ísfruin and her team...

Age: 25
Place of Birth: Riverside, JagBase TJUN-ia
twii.tur @: @JagRacing (team) or @DCarJR (personal)
Blogging Style: Tries To Get As Much Down As Possible, Really Good (In My Opinion)
NSSCRA 10 Record: Usual Self For The Season, But Things Did Get A Bit Iffy With Frank Bronson...
Favourite TJUN Rep: Bisharp (United Arab Emirates/UAE)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Disciples - On My Mind

Ah yes, me! The Derrick Carlisle, the man who writes all the blogs for JR (including this one right now) is back at it again for another season!

Riverside is only known for two things in the eyes of TJUN-ia: the AstroCourts, home of the TFT, and the Unity Center, Home of the BFT. Tennis and basketball - what a combination. I joined JR back at the beginning with limited experience in writing blogs and if think you can see that in my first few posts but as the season went on, I became more confident as a writer and more confident as a person. I certainly have shaped the history of this team, as anything I say was surely looked at by Gil Archer and it was my question that brought Alfonso's secret out of the closet.

I introduced myself to you all when Harpa came in as Manager and she has certainly changed a lot of things for me. She saw the full importance of having a good public image and encouraged me to fully express myself both on this blog and online, through JR's social channels and my own (which you can see a few lines up, by the way). That certainly helped me to become a more open personality during NSSCRA X, not shy about stating something important when required - even if that caused conflict with other personalities in this sport. For this upcoming season, I will continue to push JR's business in this series - while also trying to make you laugh! I hope you all enjoy the new "Music of the Round" section as well that will hopefully evoke the feelings around the paddock through the world's greatest art form!

#07 MICHAEL STEFAN

Age: 22
Place of Birth: Studtgraff, NAU Zone
twii.tur @: @Stefan07
Driving Style: Consistent Aggression (A Mark From His Open-Wheel Days)
NSSCRA 10 Record: 12th (3199pts/1 Win/Chase Top 12)
Overall Win Count: 2
Favourite TJUN Rep: Ludwig von Koopa (Germany/GER)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

The most famous son of Studtgraff and the German community as a whole, Michael Stefan would probably have gone to the WGPC if he hadn't made the switch to stock-car just before the formation of JR. He had a real talent in the open-wheel junior categories he took part in and might have joined Lane Carter in the hunt for a seat, but he decided the best move for him would be in stock cars and NSSRCA specifically. He felt back then that the vision of Jaguar Racing, then under the MRO and Daniel Marx, was something that he could build and turn into a powerhouse - he knew transitioning to stock cars would be a challenge, but he was willing to take it on. Michael Stefan basically did a Drake Stevenson but without any WGP experience and you could say he reaped the rewards, too.

That first season was one he would never forget, exceeding all expectations in every way. He started slow, as the team did as a whole, but once he got the ball rolling in that #00 car, he was certainly up there with the best of them. That win in Bolgano will be remembered by many for a long time, especially by Stefan. It was good all around and he never felt so happy before in his life. He could still remember the tears of joy he unleashed on the podium during the playing of "The Rivers and Seas". He may have not made the playoffs after that, but to even be in the conversation at all was considered by many to be a success. A pole came in one race and a podium on the last race, as Jeremiah Brooke celebrated his title. It was certainly a great season for the #00 and as he switched to #07 for this season, he hoped to continue the good vibes into NSSCRA X.

To say he did that would be an understatement as the "Win and You're In" nature of NSSCRA X was used to his benefit, winning the Tropicorp 500 on the Tropicoast in order to claim his spot in his first Chase. He would make it all the way to the Top 12 before some late Yeezie Magic from then-defending champion Jeremiah Brooke halted his progress in an instant. The aim for this season will be to try and return to that point once again and with his new boyfriend claiming a deserved charter at last, who knows how he will cope with some definite competition/support out on track...

#64 ALFONSO MERCADO

Age: 20
Place of Birth: San Pedro del Vasquez, UAC Zone
twii.tur @: @AM64
Driving Style: With Youthfulness and Ability (i.e. He's Pretty Good!)
NSSCRA 10 Record: 29th (484pts/Best Non-Charter)
Overall Win Count: 0 :(
Favourite TJUN Rep: Miles "Tails" Prower (Spain/ESP)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Years & Years - Palo Santo

Alfonso Mercado was born to ride these sorts of cars. He had a fascination with stock-car racing as a child, always wanting to watch highlights of racing all around the world. As soon as NSSCRA came back for its 6th season, he wanted to be up there with the rest of them and competed in junior categories across TJUN-ia for the UAC. You don't really get much out of the UAC in terms of sport, but Alfonso hoped to lead the charge as a boy-turn-man from the 2nd city of the region (behind only Carlandas). He produced good enough performances to get the nod to join JR for the new season, a dream realised in an instant, and you can say no one had a more eventful debut season without a win than the man from San Pedro del Vasquez.

Staring without a charter was hard at the beginning, always not doing enough to make the race and having to watch Michael drive on his own on Sundays. He had his first big break in Ruwani, Banija and you might say it was uphill from there. Once he got to grips with qualifying, his performances improved from race to race and he was certainly a master of getting into the race before he got the charter before that season's end. He might not have had the successes that Michael achieved, but Mercado's debut season was certainly good for someone with no charter from the off.

Of course, the most memorable moment for Alfonso happened off the track. Gil Archer had hated JR for unknown reasons and it was young Mercado who duelled with him the most on track. He felt that it would be just something to do during the racing, to defend JR's and TJUN-ia's honour on the track, but it got real once Mercado's personal life was thrown into the mix. You may all know the story by now, as he explained a lot to the Rainbow Jags a month or so after the season ended: Jungle Fever, the realisation, Stefan's win in Bolgano, the hug, the moment on live TV he stared at his teammate, the talk with Harpa in Hampton Island and, most importantly, Gil's twii that started a rumour and Mercado's response that confirmed it. Alfonso Mercado was gay and, most shockingly of all, he had feelings for Michael Stefan.

It became headline news across the International Community, especially back in his home town. TJUN-ia was shocked but very supportive of him, cursing Gil Archer's name for dragging the young man out of the closet no matter how intentional it actually was. The outpour of support was so strong and the venom towards that Fleftic man so vile, that his name was etched into the TJUN-ian English Dictionary for all to see. Gil will forever be used as another word for "snitch", which he may take as a compliment, and TJUN-ia will never forget the actions of that man.

For Season X, Alfonso worked on his qualifying and was certainly consistent out there, qualifying for most of the races during the season and getting as many points as he could along the way. While his point tally wasn't as impressive, it was still brilliant enough to be considered the best non-charter driver over the entire season. Mercado will enter this new season with the full support of the TJUN-ian fanbase with his boyfriend finally being confirmed (their announcement mid-season crashed TJUN-ian twii.tur, it was that big) and a season-starting charter being given to him for the very first time. He is no longer 2nd to his boyfriend and now, he will try to be as competitive as possible while Car 3 deals with the job he started out with long ago...

After NSSCRA 9 ended in Tundra Falls, with the confetti being swept from the floor and the many hangovers in Saint Kanye still strong, Ísfrúin produced an end-of-season statement with 2 simple facts for NSSRCA X: The 3rd car was coming and the rumours of a Tier 2 Series would be explored, just in case. As it would turn out, Tier 2 was indeed on the way and Harpa decided to make an executive decision about the matter: Michael and Alfonso would remain in Tier 1 no matter what, leaving the 3rd car to be deferred to Tier 2 to be used as development for one of TJUN-ia's rising stars. Thus, on a cold day at Peninsula's Jungle Circuit, JR invited a few faces to test drive the Darts and one name was clearly the top dog: Maddison Riley-Jones.

Hailing from Wollongmatta Bay in the UO Zone (which is just the Manufano Islands), Maddy (as she prefers to be called) is from those same junior categories that Alfonso Mercado hailed from and she was pretty good at them, too. She may have felt forgotten about after JR chose the man from San Pedro del Vasquez over her, because she then produced one of the most dominant performances in the history of junior motorsports, winning 9 of the 18 races that season and cruising to the title with no remorse. It would be shocking if she didn't turn up to that test strong and it was that drive that caught Harpa's eye. She always wanted to have more female representation in TJUN-ian sports, whose current crop of talent, back then, you can name on one hand (though things have improved since with the introduction of the Equal Genders Act). Female drivers in particular were rare in this part of the world so to have one with the talent she had was certainly a plus for Ísfrúin.

Maddy has always been more of a shy person at heart. She may be loud and boisterous when she's racing but once she's out of the car, she shuts down and rarely talks to people she doesn't know. She's kind in heart and an absolute blast as a person, but she can be silent off track and a nuisance on it. She had many admirers on social media entering the debut campaign, with some seeing her as a weird mash-up between the determined Valentina Spetsova (2-time Grand Slam Champion in the NSTT) and the shy guy Lane Carter of WGPC fame. Many questioned how she'd get on in the first-ever Tier 2 season, but she's certainly felt up for the challenge back then.

To say she met the challenge head-on would be a huge understatement as Maddy got used to international racing pretty quickly with a win on the very first Saturday of the season. That secured her a spot in the Chase that followed and she would certainly take advantage of the format, winning two more races on route to the Final 4 in Tundra Falls. That weekend would turn out to be pretty historic for her as a 4th-placed finish was enough for her to become an instant star: the first-ever Everlong Contenders Champion, TJUN-ia's first-ever Champion in NSSCRA (and Motorsports in general) and an automatic entry into the TJUN-ian Hall of Fame, an honour she only shares with 3 players from the NSTT (Spetsova, Austin McDanielson and Jean van de Kloor). It certainly was beautiful to see her rise that quickly, especially with the help of two friends she made along the way: her idol in Thea Alvarez and someone I will mention in a bit.

Many was hoping to see her defend her crown in the Contenders but she had to move up into the Cup series in exchange for a favour she made for her friend. Now, she is in the position Mercado occupied for the last 2 seasons: without a charter to start and looking to make it in through qualifying. The skill gap between T1 and T2 is about to be tested as the defending T2 Champions looks to make her mark in the main event, just as she did last season. No matter how well she does, many will be on her side over the course of this season - especially the one in #97.

#97 ROBIN DRAGONOVIC

Age: 23
Place of Birth: Trunskt, South Newlandia (now resides in Wollongmatta Bay, UO Zone)
twii.tur @: @RD97SNL
Driving Style: Certainly Has Talent, But Is Humble With A Capital H.
NSSCRA 10 Record: 13th (2221pts/1 Wet Win/Everlong Chase Top 16)
Overall Win Count: 1 (T2)
Favourite TJUN Rep: IDK If He Knows What This Is...
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Same Here...

When the lead driver at your T2 department is from another country, you know something must've happened over the course of the off-season. The story of Robin Dragonovic, and how he ended up at JR, is certainly an interesting tale to tell...

Robin Dragonovic is a relatively unassuming 23-year-old from Trunkst on the northern Coast of South Newlandia. He is smaller than average, has dark hair and green eyes, and is also the first South Newlandian NSSCRA driver. Robin grew up quite sheltered in the nicer parts of Trunkst. Throughout most of his life, he never really lacked anything at all, and his parents were able to afford everything the only child could ever want. His mother, a dentist, stayed at home to raise him, and he saw his father, a local politician, as often as he could. Throughout his childhood, Robin tried many different sports and even played for the U13-team of the Trunkst CFT at one point, but there was one thing he always wanted to do more than anything. Robin wanted to drive, he wanted to race, and he wanted to be good at it. And so, the talented young boy did. Eventually, he became better at things, while also keeping fairly high grades. After finishing the South Newlandian version of High School, he attended the Newport Politics Institute, hoping to build up a career in politics like his father.

While he continued to race cars in his free time, he found it more and more difficult to find any competition at all. There are typically no stock car races in South Newlandia, and there was not much else to do for him. It was his father, Greg, who gave him the contact to the Health Minister, also responsible for sports, and encouraged him to ask about potential participation in NSSCRA. When Robin arrived in Elephant Valley to speak to the minister, he was scared that he might be laughed out of the room. The opposite happened, and he was not only able to get a place in the second tier of NSSCRA, but the aide that took responsibility for the plan even managed to get Sun City Speedway, all the way across the country for Robin, to get a place in the racing schedule for that season. Robin would later find out that that particular aide was a big fan of stock car racing.

Most people agree that Robin is one of the most polite and friendly people they’d ever met, but he entered NSSCRA X quite shy and certainly humble about his prospects for NSSCRA X. His most famous quote from this time came in an interview about the new series: “Mostly, I am just planning to have some fun. Maybe meet some interesting people or something”.

That quote certainly looks interesting now looking back. The South Newlandian had an interesting season overall with the main highlight being a wacky win at the wet Roval race in the Appalachian Nation. While he just about missed the cut for the Top 12 in the end, he was certainly up there throughout the season a good representative for his people in the inaugural Contenders Series, despite the hospitalisation of his mother mid-season bringing him tons of sympathy. So why on earth are we talking about this guy in the first place then? Maddison Riley-Jones. That is why we are talking about Robin Dragonovic.

You see, Maddy actually sought out Mr Dragonovic as a friend after seeing him in a bit of a distraught and lonely mood early on in the season. They actually got along pretty well, to the surprise of many, but I guess that is to be expected when two nervous souls engage in conversation. A sort of respect formed between the two of them and they would certainly share their experiences with each other - so much so, in fact, that fans in Saint Kanye started referring to them as the "Stacemiah of the Everlong", a rumour that hasn't been confirmed as of yet. Their bond became so strong that, when he admitted that South Newlandia was pretty uninterested in this sport and his future may be at risk, Maddy threw a request to Harpa herself asking for support for him in some way.

The deal agreed between the parties was very simple: Robin's #97 team, including the personnel, would be bought out by JR, securing him a drive in the Contenders for next season, in exchange for Maddy's deserved promotion to the Cup Series. That move included him moving himself to an apartment in Wollongmatta Bay, where his good friend is based and where the Race of Oceania will be held - which will be interesting as a potential "home race" for the South Newlandian. While he did admit to me that it will be certainly sad not to race with MRJ for this season, he also said that "she's already done so much for me already, so I guess I can take this situation on the chin and move on". That is certainly what he will be trying to do as the most experienced member of the T2 team, trying to get used to Dart machinery and all, but he will not be alone in the Everlong after all...he has Maddy, us and a new teammate as well...

#96 ALICE JEPKOSGEI

Age: 18
Place of Birth: Jiji la Ngao (a.k.a. Shield City), AU Zone
twii.tur @: @AJ98
Driving Style: This Young Lady Has Pride On Her Side, As Well As A Bit Of Attitude!
NSSCRA 10 Record: None, She's A Rookie!
Overall Win Count: 0 (For now...)
Favourite TJUN Rep: Sableye (Kenya/KEN)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Benny Cristo - omaga

Despite the unexpected arrival of Robin Dragonovic, the plan of JR was always to have two cars in the Contenders Series for its 2nd edition, boosting its commitment to developing the series and the next generation of TJUN-ian stars. But the question of who would become the 5th (and potentially final) driver of JR in its current form was certainly up in the air heading into the offseason. Stefan and Mercado were non-negotiable in Season 9 while Maddie's inclusion was pretty much obvious after that trial day in Peninsula before Season X, but this decision really felt tough for Harpa to make given how close everyone else appeared to be. So, with the feeling of history in the winter air, the 2nd Peninsula Trial was convened and, out of the 12 who attended, the winner of the day was someone seen as a rank outsider (though she wouldn't see herself as such): Alice Jepkosgei.

Hailing from Jiji la Ngao, or the Sheild City in English, Alice is the latest of athletes from the AU Zone looking to make a name for herself in TJUN-ian sports. From Kepo Ulawaya to Jean van de Kloor and everyone in between, this region is known for producing great sportsmen and women - but not really from Jiji la Ngao in particular, which is surprising considering the Kenyan influences of the whole city. Another favourite of the TJUN-ian junior categories, Alice may not have shined through the pack as much as Mercado and Riley-Jones did in their time, but many fans who follow the pipeline do believe the 18-year-old has potential and were certainly not surprised to see her as the 5th driver at JR.

But who exactly is Alice Jepkosgei as a person? Well, you can think of her as TJUN-ia's answer to Taylor Henderson - brilliant on track, but not afraid to speak her mind on her opposition out there. If you're looking for a TJUN-ian most likely to be featured on the NSSCRA equivalent of "Radioactive", then Jepkosgei is the one to keep your ears pointed to in the Everlong this season. She's also known for having a bit of an attitude down in the junior category, seeing herself as having the talent to beat anyone on her day. While she may appear to be unsupportive of being de-facto #2 to Dragonovic, it will be important to take his advice on what the Everlong Contenders can throw if she has hopes of "doing a Maddy" this time around. No matter if you turn out to love her or hate her, the future of JR T2 lies in Alice Jepkosgei and her #96 - a number she hopes to take off of Gil Archer in terms of notoriety...certainly feisty, this one is!

Short History
Katana Racing is an Ajian-owned and registered team based in Sankyoku, Aji No Moto. With Akifumi Maruyama owning both domestic operations of the ashes of the Kissan Developmental programme, the team was renamed Katana Racing after Kissan's withdrawal from motorsport, and was initially sponsored by Drymark when Shigeru Tsuchie joined their WGP3 Filindostan operation. They also operated a two-car FISCAR operation with Hatsue Hachirobei and Tadashi Mitsubishi behind the wheel of the #01 and the #10 Badai Angin Kecepatans respectively, with the latter finishing fourth.

Due to Dahon's withdrawal from FISCAR, Katana Racing remained running Kecepatans in FISCAR alongsinde running the #0 car in the NSSCRA's second tier in races where Badai Angin Tim Motorsports did not enter Mercy Binayas. This season, with the team acquiring racing equipment from the defunct Itzal Lasterketa from Hispinas, the team will move their base back to Sankyoku, with their racing shop adjacent the Sankyoku Triangle Tyrone Tabuso. This did not prevent them to make an alliance with Badai Angin however, and will build their Multiversal and some of their Everlong Series cars in-shop with assistance from Filindostani engineers. They will change allegiances however, de-registering from their previous Filindostani racing license to return to Aji No Moto, and establish themselves in the Ajian racing landscape.

Short History
The #00 Team is the Katana Racing's first foray in the main Multiversal Series, having made their part time debut in the second-tier Everlong Series. The assets and equipment from the #29 Itzal Lasterketa were repurposed into this team, selling their Dahon Sivicks and purchasing second hand cars from Badai Angin Tim for the first part of the season. The organization signed former NSSCRA driver, Eiji Ibi, who gave Kissan Motorsport their first NSSCRA victory in Season 6, to drive full-time with sponsorship from Konbini 24/7 and Drymark. The team will run with a charter for the entire season so qualifying would not be a problem for Ibi, who expects to struggle as he would re-familiarize himself with NSSCRA-level equipment having been three seasons out running other racing categories for Badai Angin projects.

Short History
The Katana Racing side of the #0 team was formed when Dahon pulled out of FISCAR along with their planned Dahon Autosport where Tadashi Mitsubishi was planned to be teammates with Kiki Lambosa. Unlike the latter who had an exclusive contract with Dahon and was entered as part of Itzal Lasterketa's second tier NSSCRA program, Mitsubishi was still contracted to Katana Racing, loaning their driver to Dahon Autosport after signing Masak Enoki to drive the #10 in FISCAR 2. This left Mitsubishi without a ride for this season, but a last minute deal with Badai Angin Tim saw the #0 being shared between Mercy Binayas who is competing full-time in FISCAR, and Mitsubishi, fully sponsored by Konbini 24/7, who will also sponsor his old ride, the #10. His original sponsor, Puroll, was taken along with Lambosa in the #75 Itzal Lasterketa team.

Despite running second-hand equipment from their FISCAR team, Mitsubishi found speed in his 20 races, which included a pair of second place finishes and a third place finish, and was close to making the playoffs despite not running the full-time schedule. He finished 20th in the points. The team will be the sole runner of the #0 Team in the Everlong Series this season as Badai Angin Tim shutdown their Everlong operation, with Mitsubishi running the full schedule with sponsorship from Konbini 24/7.

The team will be backed Drymark for the full season, Tsuchie's personal sponsor, in exchange for a full time ride for the latter despite performing poorly in both the Multiversal Series and the Everlong Series the previous season. Chiemi Hino was supposed to drive the car but Drymark's intervention forced her to run in AOCAR instead with partial backing from Drymark as compensation.

AOCAR Series Teams
Along with their NSSCRA projects, the team will also run in the AOCAR series based in Atlantian Oceania, with backing from Kissan and their re-launched KISMO department. The team will be known as Katana Racing by KISMO and will have the FISCAR-grade BA Kecepatans rebadged as Kissan Kamikazes for the series. Three full-time teams have been announced - #22 driven by Kyoko Fujisaki sponsored by Kissan Motors, #0 driven by Chiemi Hino sponsored by Ayakashi Energy Drink and Drymark, and #00 driven by Hatsue Hachirobei sponsored by Konbini 24/7. As a result of their AOCAR side-project, the team left FISCAR altogether as it is deemed impractical to keep racing shops in both Filindostan and Aji No Moto.

A Night Mission (out-of-blog)

Postby TJUN-ia » Fri Jul 09, 2021 5:51 am

They did what they needed to do in the dead of night, on the words of the boss they were loyal to. The JR drivers, all 5 of them now, went out into the paddock whilst most were asleep to deliver a message they had created, on the orders of Ísfrúin herself, for everyone else that will compete in either the Multiversal Cup Series or the Everlong Contenders Series in NSSCRA 11. The letter, made with love and care and a little bit of passion, was delivered by hand to engineers who watched over the team cars at night, slipped under doors or left on tables or even taped to a nearby post if they hadn't arrived yet. As they did their duty at the midnight hour, observers could (for a brief moment) look into each of them and determine how they are feeling entering the new season of this very entertaining series.

The gang went around in three groups and no one would be surprised about who was in Group 1. Michael Stefan and Alfonso Mercado were now entering their 3rd season as teammates, their 2nd full season as good buddies and their 1st full season as publicly confirmed boyfriends. To say they have been through a lot in their time in the NSSCRA would be an understatement, but both of them walked the paddock tonight the most excited they have ever been for the Exhibition at the Proving Grounds as the traditional warm-up event will mark the first time ever that both #07 and #64 start the season with a charter to race. It certainly has been a long time coming for the duo and they fully realised the situation they now found themselves in: now lovers and, at last, equals out on the track for a full season. The only thing that separated them was their pre-season aspirations, as Stefan wanted to get back to the Chase for the 2nd time while Mercado was looking to try and get as close to it as possible. No matter what happens though, at least they have each other and the potential revival of the age-old rivalry with Abanhfleft's #96.

Group 2 contained the defending T2 Champion in Maddison Riley-Jones and her new friend-turned-teammate in South Newlandia's Robin Dragonovic. Their debut seasons saw them both make the Chase but while Robby just about missed out on a spot in the Top 12, Maddie stormed her way to a famous title and a spot in the TJUN-ian Hall of Fame as such. These two drivers, similar in their kind and shy nature, got very close over the course of the following season - so close in fact that as the ships in Saint Kanye telling of the "Stacemiah of the Everlong" made the rounds, they had spent the offseason sorting out a place together in Wollongmatta Bay where they could cuddle in peace, a pastime they have certainly gotten used to after Robin's move to TJUN-ian shores was confirmed. It may have caused a little bit of stress within the TJUN-ian camp when Maddie requested assistance on behalf of her friend, but everyone managed to get through it all pretty well...which makes it all the sadder that, over the course of this season, these two will be in different series racing on different days and sometimes in different nations altogether. Maddie will be fighting it out in Qualifying for racing opportunities in their first T1 season while Dragonovic will fly JR's T2 flag while trying to "help" out his new teammate over at #96 as much as he can. But no matter how far apart they may be over the course of this season, they will always have a bond that may not ever break for all time.

As for Group 3, it wasn't really a group at all - it was just the new girl, Alice Jepkosgei, both doing her job and scouting here Everlong opposition at the same time. Entering her first season of international motorsports, she certainly saw herself as the odd one out in a team that appeared to have been put together with the interests of romance in mind by some aspiring writer: Stefan and Mercado were the OGs, MRJ and the South Newlandian were essentially a thing in all but name and even her new boss in Hapra had a thing going with the blog writer Carlisle. She knew that this environment would certainly be interesting to work under, but joining the romance club herself wasn't her first priority in this new series - she just wanted performances to show off to everyone else. She would, of course, want to meet someone to settle down with at some point, but maybe not now at the start of her career. Her main aspiration here is to try and do her best and show off her style of driving which, she will admit, is quite similar to that of Taylor Henderson in the Cup Series. She's supposed to be "under the watch" of Robin Dragonovic for this season, but she didn't think she would need the help or even consider how the shy South Newlandian could even give her help in the first place. She knew she had the stuff to succeed here if things went her way, so much so in fact that when her preferred number in 98 was taken, she decided to go for number 96 - a number considered unholy in the TJUN-ian NSSCRA community to the exploits of one Gil Archer. Of course, she hated the Gil as much as anyone else in the community did, but she didn't hate him as much as to avoid 96 with a barge pole - in fact, she considered it her mission to try and reclaim the dignity of #96 within TJUN-ia come what may. If she could at least do that, then maybe other things will go her way indeed.

Once the job was done, the five of them retreated back to JRHQ feeling confident that their duty was complete. While success in Year 3 of the JR project was nut assured, they at least could be confident that the message was sent to everyone else that they were ready to race this season. It explained everything it needed to...

To the teams and drivers of NSSCRA 11,

Good Luck To You All
But Let It Be Known That...

WE ARE READY FOR YOU!

Signed,
Jaguar Racing

NSSCRA'S BACK?
..... Already?!

by Francis Ludgate

Drivers, to your cars! Race fans, to your couches! Stop hibernating - it's that time of the year again! Time to watch advertisements go around in circles for hours! Here are the top stories heading into the eleventh season of the world's premier stock car series.

A New Name
The NSSCRA top tier will now be known as the Multiversal Cup Series, after its new title sponsor, a Kanyean paint company. It's a rather clever name, if we do say so ourselves, as not only does it promote the Multiversal brand, it also perfectly describes how the series' teams, drivers and fans come from different places far and wide.

GFR Shakes Things Up
St. Kanye's Glorious Free Republic Motorsports aren't exactly known for changing their drivers around, but they did make a few other changes during the offseason. For one, their new weapon of choice on the track will be the Chadwick Infinite. Banking company Coleman & Thorne has been welcomed as a new sponsor - they will be the primary for Sage Caldwell and Jeremiah Brooke for three races each, including the Exhibition at the Proving Grounds. The team branched off into AOCAR, fielding three cars for the upcoming season, but they sold off their Everlong Series operation to former driver Skip Stiller.

He Changed His Number!
The #19 has long been associated with GFR's R&D car. It was the number Philip West drove to a third place finish in the Vilaye Energy Drink 314 five seasons ago, and Caldwell himself to a sixth place finish in the Five Star Mobile 500 three seasons ago, finishing higher than all three of his full-time teammates. Last season, Pyotr Lavrentiev took the #19 to victory lane twice, good for a ninth place Everlong Series finish and allowing him to keep his seat in what is now Skip Stiller Speedworks' #22. Wait, what happened to #19? Well, GFR sold it to Yesopalitha's Team Nightsisters to be used by their driver Lilith, and the Skipper didn't want to cause a conflict if Lav ever gets an open charter spot. Luckily, the double deuce was vacant in both series, and it's still part of a sequence with Brooke's #18 and Daryl Calhoun's #20.

Mr. & Mrs. Champ
"Stacemiah", or Jeremiah Brooke and Stacie Houston, became the third married couple of NSSCRA drivers after their wedding a few months ago, following Chip Woods and Kirsten Hopkins, and Kai Qiang and Tsering Chu. However, those who want to see how the battles between the #18 and the #27 would be different as husband and wife would have to wait until at least next season, due to Houston's pregnancy.

A Distinct Lack of Girl Power
Not only there will be no Stacie Houston this season, there will also be no Team Cassadaigua, who are not participating for reasons unknown. Drivers Jenna Logan, Bryan Harrison, and Maddie Alexander were instead loaned to Team Tropicorp. Five Star Mobile, Houston's longtime sponsor, chose to back that team as well. No 'Dagan tracks will be on the schedule either, to the dismay of many fans.

H.I. Says Bye (For Now?)
Hampton Island Racing got a win, a Chase appearance and a Rookie of the Year award out of Alex Knight in the seventh season, but have struggled mightily ever since, to the point that Knight lost his charter last season. Like Team Cass, they won't be returning in this one. Hopefully they're just in a rebuilding phase.

Zai jian, Hengxing Tian
The Beiyang factory team saw promise in both Kanyean recruit Ricky Lee and North Chinese native Gongming Gao, keeping them both around as they helped the team pick up after a slow start and get better results as the weeks passed. But what about Hengxing Tian? The team decided that, with new sponsorships coming in, they didn't really need his money anymore, nor his attitude, so he got the boot. Okay, enough of team and driver departures, let's talk about arrivals this time, starting with.....

Guess Who's Back?
Love him or hate him, but one thing's for sure - Abanhfleft's Guillermo Archer's brash, "every sport needs a heel" behavior added some spice to the ninth season of NSSCRA. UrGa Motorsports didn't exactly get the results that they wanted last season with their first (and to date, only) race winner taking a leave of absence, but now that Archer's back, things could very well pick up. The equally controversial Wilma von Cärinthen also returns, so look for UrGa to turn heads and make headlines this season.

Back Again
They were Chase contenders. Then they were field fillers. Then they disappeared. Then they returned. Vannish Motors Racing will be fielding veteran Floyd Hackerbee, as well as newcomer Tommy Vinnlund. But perhaps the biggest hype comes from their third member, and the only one with a charter to start the season: former open-wheel standout Jessica Franssen.

Ibi's Back, Tell a Friend
Noriyasu Nagai (RIP) appeared in a few races for Dahon Racing two seasons ago. Liuyong Xu signed with the Norwesties after not being given a charter by the Sherpas, and is now Daryl Calhoun's crew chief. So who's the next participant of the very first Chase to make a comeback in the series? Why, it's Eiji Ibi! With Kissan Motorsport long gone, the Ajian will now drive for Katana Racing, using the same #00 he drove (and won in) five seasons ago. Can he keep up with the same people he battled with back then, like Brooke, Qiang and River Suzgar? We'll know soon enough.

Journeyman Ezis
Filindostan's BA Tim decided to expand from two to three cars this season, retaining original driver Hana Bhe in the #0 and last season's ROTY Fiona Sunarya in the #99 (formerly the #00). The third car, utilizing Bhe's charter, will be driven by Rockii Ezis, joining his third team in six seasons (after Vilita & Turori Motorsports and Rocket Motorsports). Despite rumors of the car being #0 and then #09, Ezis will instead be reunited with the #60 he used in his VTM days, which was freed up by Beiyang's Ricky Lee switching to #12.

Team Blue Gets Good
Hapiloppians and publicity, name a better duo (that isn't Stacemiah). From Chet Byrd running the Pencurve in a chicken costume, to the "They Crash, You Win" wall at the Super Skychief 500, to the (false) allegations of cheating last season, those Haps are firm believers of the saying "You're nobody until you're talked about." Their latest move? Getting Good.... Motor Oil, as a sponsor, that is. Chris Holmes, Taylor Henderson, and Drake Stevenson will all have their primary cars done up in Good's signature blue and orange, with the rear bearing two words that everyone who's followed the last World Grand Prix has imprinted in their minds: "Get Good!"

Welcome Holmes
Speaking of Chris, his entire NSSCRA career has been quite a ride, no pun intended - fired from Team Blue, hired by the Wreckerians, fired by the Wreckerians, hired by Team Blue. He has claimed to have cleaned up his act, going from wild child to gentleman driver, but one thing the fans hope he hasn't changed about himself is his desire to win.

Coming Up
The battle for Rookie of the Year looks to be an interesting one, headlined by some of last season's Everlong Series Chasers. Champion Maddison Riley-Jones of TJUN-ia is not done chasing silverware; Maddie Alexander wants to bring glory to Cassadaigua despite driving for a foreign team, and Sword Islander Chris Gordon aims to beat the odds, his campaign made considerably harder by the fact that he has to share his seat with Michael Rush.

Going Down
Several drivers did the opposite of what Riley-Jones, Alexander and Gordon did, moving to lower series for one reason or another. These include Licio Granado and Bryan Harrison to the Everlong Series, and Anavella Ariiki and Scott Hawking to AOCAR.

Okay, now you're up to date on what's happening around the garages. We'll see you at the Tundra Falls Proving Grounds for the Exhibition and the Prospect Showcase! Here's to another wonderful season!

NSSCRA Pick 'em - Fantasy Sports Competition

Tundra Falls Proving Grounds, Tundra Falls, Newmanistan :: Vilita & Turori Racer is preparing for the kick off of the Tenth NSSCRA Season with the return of its NSSCRA Pick 'em Fantasy Sports Competition with minimal changes to the competition from its multiverse-wide contest held during NSSCRA Season 9 & 10.

Fans looking to participate in VTRacer's NSSCRA Pick 'em Competition will have to finalize their team selections prior to the season opening Tundra Falls 500 (The Tundra Falls Exhibition will not be part of the VTRacer NSSCRA Pick 'em Competition).

Each Pick 'em Team will consist of 5 drivers; 1 each from five different Grade of drivers with the defending championship Four drivers; Anastasia Freya Yadana Aye, Thea Alvarez, Kai Qiang and Jeremiah Brooke joining Yraaga Gilli'i and Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha as Grade 1 Drivers. Entries will earn points based on the performance of each of their five selected drivers during each event. Throughout the season a user can make change to trade one driver within a Grade for any other driver in the same Grade at a cost of an additional 2 fantasy championship points per transaction.

VT Racer will re-seed drivers just once during the regular season based on their performance in the NSSCRA standings while adding any drivers who were not assigned an initial Grade. If an entry includes a driver who is promoted to a higher tier during a re-assessment, that driver will be grandfathered in their original slot and continue to count as against that entries original tier until such a point they are dropped from the team and subsequently re-added at a later date.

Those looking to compete in the NSSCRA Pick 'em Competition for Season 11 Can submit their application following the instructions on the enclosed form.

The NSSCRA Season 11 Schedule takes the same shape as that from NSSCRA Season 10 which was reduced by ten events in the regular season, returning to the NSSCRA 7/8 levels and marks the first schedule reduction in the NSSCRA's Top Tier since the dawn of the Chase era. Many traditional events retain their spot on the schedule although a shake up in the order and placement of NSSCRA Chase events could change the makeup of the championship 4. However, the races in Cassadaigua are now off the schedule for the upcoming season causing a shake up in one of the longest running events on the circuit.

39 Drivers will be guaranteed a spot in each event with a further six slots available to non-chartered drivers and the final spot on the grid to an open charter driver. Newmanistan driver Ashley Matthews will be using the open charter for the Tundra Falls 500 after first competing in the iROS series. The reduction in the NSSCRA Top level schedule is also due in part to scheduling adjustments associated with the accommodation for the addition of a second Tier to the NSSCRA framework. Also debuting in Tundra Falls, the NSSCRA second tier will also be a 26 race schedule from start to finish and serve as a place where top drivers from around the multiverse can compete against other drivers from various nationality and discipline in a similar-skill environment without having to be thrust immediately to the throws of Top-Tier NSSCRA action against a slew of experienced drivers who have been wheeling NSSCRA style Stock Cars for their entire careers.

Introducing... The Nightsisters

Yesopalitha has traditionally competed in football, baseball, and not many other sports in its history; however, most of the players involved were humans (which only make up 5% of the nation's population). With Nirdasil having decided that sports should be open to the rest of the populace - the Unbidden - all of sports in Yesopalitha have been in a state of consistent change.

Of all the differing stories that have come out of this situation, the most interesting has been the emergence of Team Nightsisters, a coven of vampires that have decided to enter the racing world. Let us meet them.

Nezera

The leader of this group is Nezera, one of the elders of Coven Ha'art, the Coven of Sorcerers and Magic. Nezera is a vampire of some renown, having been part of the Blood Council from days before Zaiden changed all Yesopalithans for the better. Since the emergence of Zaiden and Nirdasil, Nezera has become absolutely instrumental in getting Unbidden eyes on the world of motorsports. To a nation of people for whom magical creatures have been the fastest mode of transportation - not counting teleportation, of course - Nezera has been fighting an uphill battle to get motorsports recognized; this entrance to the NSSCRA is the culmination of that work.

Celeste

Celeste, the highest regarded driver for Team Nightsisters, is a member of Coven Meurte, the Coven of Assassination and Shadows. For over a century, she's been one of the best shadow adepts in the country, taking care of many covert missions for the Yesopalithan High Council. Instead of taking a vacation, she's asked to partake in the NSSCRA, where her unique blend of speed, quickness, and knowing when to strike will come into play. As the oldest of them all, she'll also be the senior Vampire in the group.

Velorina

Velorina is a member of Coven Dantera, the Coven of Philosophers and Dominators. A trained Manipulator from the time that she chose her second life at the time of her untimely death, Velorina is in this competition not only to race but to also observe the philosophies and tendencies of drivers from other nations. She has been told to not use any of her abilities on other drivers (in fact, all of the team has been taught to do so), but even her passive abilities will go a long way to make sure that her mission is carried out.

Lilith

Lilith is a member of Coven Anastahai, the Coven of Blood and History. Only a month in her new life as a Vampire, Lilith had been a human woman interested in vehicles before choosing her second life, and is absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity to embrace her passion even in her second life. She's a natural around vehicles, actually understanding them to a point not often seen in Unbidden beings. Will that love of vehicles lead to success on the track?

Public sentiment in Yesopalitha is that this is a lavish pet project that's getting too much attention. Time will tell what will come from it.

Until then, for Zaiden, everyone.
