It stopped being possible when one side started being entirely unreasonable.

We could reform immigration if we wanted to. Make it easier for legitimate immigration to happen, and give a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants without "amnesty" (which has been made into a boogeyman).

We could make voting a guaranteed right without increasing voter fraud if we wanted to. Make government-issued IDs mandatory at polls, but free to obtain and easier to access.

Yeah. As for the 'lost jobs', just do an indefinite enhanced unemployment for them, and free job retraining if they desire. That way they can't complain they're being put out on the street.

And so on. Its just that one particular political party decided to throw a tantrum over these and many other issues because they want their way all the time, because their wealthy and elite donors want to own everything without question.

Am I the only one who wants more subsidies for small farms, wants higher tariffs, higher corporate income tax of 30% and also a minimum corporate income tax, and also more pipelines being built along with more oil rigs and fields? Also little to no taxes on small businesses.

Just saw a post from a guy I know who supports trump claiming that the people who died from covid actually were kidnapped and had their organs harvested and the lockdown was instituted to "cage us in and fatten us up like cattle."

I'm sorry how do I heal the divide with someone this batshit crazy?

The last thing we need is more oil pipelines and rigs. Every cent spent on that would be better invested in nuclear.

...Why would we need to be fattened up if they were wanting to harvest organs? The point of fattening animals is to make the meat better.

Oh... wait, right, in addition to satanists and pedophiles the Leftist Elite are also cannibals, I forgot.

I know alot of Trump supporters. I wouldn't say most are that crazy but they're pretty close. After the election they all sounded like a bunch of loony conspiracy theorists. This type of behavior is not the exception in trumpism, it's the rule.

As it seems that he’s changed his residence before the year deadline it’s entirely possible. Though he’s going to have a though time due to his mental health issues

But oil is helping states like Wyoming,Alaska, Texas, and Oklahoma. The state of Wyoming gets a lot of its money from the extraction of oil and a lot of oil companies help to fund the government of Wyoming who can then put money into stuff like education. It also creates tons of jobs as well. Also burnt gas smells very nice. I do love a 2 smoker.

Collaboration isn't dead, Congress is still more than capable of continuing the bipartisan tradition quietly giving hundreds of billions of dollars to the police and military, pandering toward rich people, and expanding surveillance :)

Saying a election is rigged in the united states nowadays doesn't make you a conspiracy theorist when there was already a precedent of politicians who lose saying the election wasn't fair. So claiming a election is rigged when it really wasn't is much more believable.

Asbestos production also used to support the economy in many places, but we’re not about to rush and reopen the asbestos mines now are we.

Also “Burnt gas smelling nice” has got to be just about the strangest argument against environmental regulations, and I feel like giving you props for the boldness, but regardless, the government is not coming for your grill.
