Pre-Opening: Charpentier - Te Deum Prelude
Crowds gather in the Grand Centre - a show’s about to begin. There are people from all walks of life - young and old, black and white, people from every participating nation. It’s almost as if the arena’s about to explode. All forms of memorabilia are present, with flags littering the area, even the constituent flags of Carrelie make an appearance!
The crowd goes silent as nobody walks out onto the stage, and even the orchestra is confused. What's going on? Was the celebration a ruse?
Tune: Li Tchant des Wallons
The conductor of the Haufenburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Klaus Auchendorf, readies his baton as the orchestra looks on in confusion. Nevertheless, they comply and ready their instruments and sheet music. The screens at the sides and centre of the stage flare up to show an image of a blue sky. The audience readies itself for this show.

Tune: Kódaly - Viennese Musical Clock
And then, the scene changes. Aerial shots of Haufenburg are shown, from the Frederick VIII Plaza to the Grand Imperial Palace. The camera pans into the Grand Park, showing a child flying a kite, an old woman feeding the crows, a band playing in the field. On one of the benches sits Vian Genamann, pen to a postcard. The camera zooms in on the postcard, before it’s blown away by the wind. It then zooms out, past Haufenburg, past Carrelie, revealing the spinning globe.
The camera follows the postcard to the capital city of Dentricia, Densmouth. The audience can see the skyline, complete with the Queen Karine Tower, the Imperial Palace and the Lords’ Council building. Marien Lochnette is partying in the Newhadney Market when that same postcard flies into her hands. Looking around, it seems like the entire city of Densmouth is dancing, joining in on the celebration of colour. Marien dances her way towards the airport, spreading the celebration with her, and boards a plane for Haufenburg. She lets go of the postcard and it flies into the camera, revealing the contest’s logo.
