Suddenly able to propose GA and SC resolutions with 0 endors

Postby Ilosttopia » Fri Jun 11, 2021 8:44 am

For some reason I can propose resolutions in the World Assembly even with 0 endorsements. Did they change it so that you don't need endorsements to propose resolutions, or is it because the SC hasn't had anything for some time now.

It's likely because you were in a previous region that you had 2 endorsements in before the stat refresh, and then you left it. It's should be gone after a few hours.

Nope. Look at their National Happenings. They haven't moved in the last 6 days. It's an actual, reproducible bug.

Fixed, thanks. I set it to 0 on a staging setup to test something then forgot about it and let it slip through to production.

Why can we not just allow any WA member, regardless of endorsement count, to submit proposals on a permanent basis? :P

Why limit it to WA members? Why not any nation? Then we could finally move from deleting 2-3 spam proposals a day to 200-300! Mods and GenSec members wouldn't need to idly have those pesky lives outside of the game - we could spend extra hours removing spam. And you could spend hours approving them all regardless of merit like you do now, since apparently approving proposals is your version of a fidget spinner. Wouldn't that be better?

Why can't we just tighten the minimum endorsement requirement to 5 endorsements?

Then small regions wouldn't exist anymore after a mad scramble for endos.

How about not being able to submit resoultions until you have reached 500 million population?

That might reduce current spam levels about 20%, but most of the illegal / spam / stupid proposals come from older nations. I don't think that would make a significant difference.

The current barrier to entry is incredibly low, so it's a wonder we don't get more crappy proposals. It's actually quite easy to get two endorsements - you just visit an active feeder for about 10 minutes, submit your proposal, and move back to wherever you came from.

That would also make it harder for experienced players to create & use new themed puppets for submitting "relevant" proposals... >:(

The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.
