I genuinely believe Poe, Finn, and Rey all had good enough back stories. There was really nothing wrong with them and thus there is no reason to change them.

-Side characters can be removed at your pleasure.

-Locations can be charged (With the Exception of Jakku and Starkiller Base.)

-The Original Trilogy Character's need to be included at least once.

- It needs to tie in with the other movies (Shows are optional).

-EU Characters and Ships can be added if you like (Mara Jade, Thrawn, ETC)

- Have Fun

It's one of my degrees, I sure hope I can. I'm not gonna because screenwriters are a judgy lot and if you go about writing something you don't have the rights to they get really snippy.

I think all they're talking about is breaking a new story, the basic beats, which isn't outside the realm of possibility. Unless they're actually going to write three full length scripts in proper screenwriting format. Then that's a nuts amount of effort just to prove a shitty point.

Everyone has ideas. The issue is not so much that everyone's ideas suck (they by and large are not as good as the person who has them thinks) but that actually successfully executing that story is the dividing line.

Also, how different in the end is it from them just playing the role playing game and just doing away with the dice and deciding the outcome of conflicts. I don't think anyone here (definetely including me) is going to have a production company with an overall at ABC or something but let them dunk on the movies they hate they way they want.

Or I guess don't. You've maybe earned the right to criticize how people hate things with as much as you've had to take. But, like, you're relentless with that shit. I don't think we need to review recent history.
