I dont know actually. I cant remember how far i played the remastered version last time.

Now you could easily say the climate stuff is purely for level destruction and throwing another obstacle at the players and DICE has done this before in BF4 etc.

But how does a refugee population factor into gameplay? Is it a.. faction made up of refugees? Is there a gamemode around refugees? Because ive heard the game doesnt even have a campaign this time around so how does that work?

They've added a war crime PvE mode. You'll have a border checkpoint to defend and the less people you let through and the more refugees you bomb and shot the higher score you get. There's no risk of being shot so it's just to show everyone else how much of a monster you want to be.

Good game, but they really could have toned down on all the red. Game gave me a headache with all that. Felt like I was playing a Virtual Boy.

I might actually get Battlefield 2042, since it has a interesting military setting. Instead of it being in the far future with exo suits and space ships. It looks like half the vehicles and guns in the game is going to be military technology in current development in the real world.

It was everything I loved about AC:0 with none of the anti-war sentiment you usually find in AC games. I mean, I get it guys, war is bad. But I want to fly planes fast and blow shit up in my arcade fighter game, not think about the ramifications of modern warfare and the complicity of your average nation in human suffering. It helps that Cold War went so hard on the OST.

Dice wanted to do something punchy was a social issue and EA wanted to cover it's ass so as not to lose a certain demographic. It's absolutely making social commentary, EA just doesn't want to call it that so they don't lose money.

They've added a war crime PvE mode. You'll have a border checkpoint to defend and the less people you let through and the more refugees you bomb and shot the higher score you get. There's no risk of being shot so it's just to show everyone else how much of a monster you want to be.

So I tried Halo 2 on Legendary with some skulls on (I ain't doing LASO on that game). I... I never thought it would make me this frustrated, and yes, those Jackal snipers can go eat a rock.

Not frustration until I break something, oh nope. Just... a tirade of swears. You wanna see Val swear, you make him play an infuriating game, or riddle him with computer errors.
