and Cillessen is not going to the EC.

Fun fact, none of those teams won in their last match against Oranje. ;)

If I am feeling wrong on July 11th it's only because feeling happy would be life threatening. I do still live in Germany :o

Also, I did not mention Cillessen , just that the keeper is weak. If not Cillessen then Krul, or Stekelenburg? I prefer the former, but still, eh, not the world class that is needed for an EC win.

No worries, the Germans love the Dutch. You might even be able to tell them we won the Doppelpack (U21 and normal EC). :)
I remember you not liking Cillessen, thought you were talking about him. Stekelenburg is good enough to win the Cup.

I've been doing that since their Brexit referendum

Why just say England in the poll when I can just use the heavily-cliched "it's coming home" for them? Granted, English fans are chanting that every tournament and come back disappointed basically every single year.
I thought that that was only for the World Cup?

Nah, basically every single international tournament at this point. Because England wants it to come home.

They could use a goalkeeper. And there’s grass.

I am shorter than Michel Vorm. Who, for a professional keeper was already quite short.

Can’t be smaller than Insigne :p

Despite my username, I don't see Italy as champs any time soon. I'd say the Netherlands might win it. Sucks that Ireland's not in this, as my mom descends from Irish-Argentines, so I'm rooting for our fellow Celtic bros.

Irish Guy watches Ireland only to come away with disappointment. There's a reason he hates Thierry Henry to this day.

Even worse watching cheats like Griezmann win the World Cup nine years later. I wonder if Titi had a hand in sabotaging Belgium.

If Thierry Henry didn't use his hand, he would be hated in France. If Thierry Henry used his hand, he would be hated as well, but not in France. All in all, blame Paul McShane for not clearing the ball.

Just like Peter Shilton should have jumped for the ball in 86, Paul McShane should have cleared the ball against France. Sure Maradona and Henry did illegal things, but other players could have prevented the goals from happening.

Somehow Shilton is still bitter about letting a 5'4'' Maradona outjump him.

He should be bitter for not letting either Woods or Beasant start in his place in 1990, when they went further than their run in Mexico. He was 40 in Italy.

Somehow? Maradona destroyed his reputation not only once but twice in that game lol that's more than enough for him to still be salty about it even to this day

Yes, but he's a striker, not a keeper :)

Keepers are on average taller than field players.

Maradona should have been extradited to England where he would have faced a fair trial and execution.

P.S. West Brom to win the Championship and F.A. cup next season. You read it here first!

Pretty soon England would enact a law that anybody who likes Maradona is a traitor to the country.

I mean it would all be for performative sake to boost the anti-Maradona sentiment of the electorate and to boost the Three Lions. I wouldn't be surprised if Qatar banned all Lille, Monaco, Montpellier, Man United, Barcelona, Bayern, and Man City fans from visiting their country.

Also, 1980-81
Couldn’t beat Villa to the title then, either.

According to your logic, Real Madrid are shittier than Valencia because they have zero players playing internationally for Spain while Valencia has one.

Meanwhile, there are people out there who dub Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins as the next Ballon d'Or winners just because they scored against Liverpool or City or Chelsea. Those are the same people that jumped on the Michael Owen hype train because he won a mini treble and scored one wondergoal, and he turned out to be an injury prone mercenary.

They didn’t win the title.
Valencia is also the goat team, too.

Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins are definitely not Ballon D’Or quality, let alone Premier League Player of the Year quality just yet. It’s the same bandwagon who jump on Kanté just because he did well in the last stages of the champions league.
Forget about Edouard Mende and Kai Havertz.

The English media loves to hype up players who scores more than one goal against any random opponent. Then they throw in random transfer rumors like Grealish to Barcelona simply to drive online engagement. It's not just tabloids like Daily Mail that do it, but the mainstream like Sky Sports.

Lot of ifs there for a quality CAM
