You people are far too easy, it's almost not fun any more.

Almost.

Singular whit aside, please tell me exactly what has changed?

1. "Let's coup Osiris!" Condemned pretty much universally, and Krull gets thrown to the wolves.
2. Alas, things are going to change. Pier is taking over, and Xoriet is the new spokesperson. Huzzah!
3. "Let's convince Cormac to write a repeal of our condemnation, because we said we were sorry". Cormac, needing support falls for it, and the original condemnation is repealed.
4. "Let's cooperate with DoS'ed, forum destroyers!" Condemned again, even more universally.

Why should you guys be given a chance to go three for three? Hmmm?

Your memory of reality, apparently. I can't believe you're about to make me defend the NPO with the sheer level of inaccuracy in your post.

Wayneactia wrote:1. "Let's coup Osiris!" Condemned pretty much universally, and Krull gets thrown to the wolves.

It was Lazarus.

Wayneactia wrote:2. Alas, things are going to change. Pier is taking over, and Xoriet is the new spokesperson. Huzzah!

Xoriet becoming the NPO's foreign affairs official happened several steps later. She wasn't even involved in the NPO in any capacity at this point.

Wayneactia wrote:3. "Let's convince Cormac to write a repeal of our condemnation, because we said we were sorry". Cormac, needing support falls for it, and the original condemnation is repealed.

This isn't what happened. I didn't need support from anyone; the second OFO reform of Osiris was complete by that point and we had won a total victory against the rebellion, such as it was, which was utterly crushed pretty much from its inception. I authored a repeal of the NPO's first condemnation because I genuinely believed Pierconium was making an effort to reform, as did many others. Incidentally, my repeal wasn't even the one that passed.

Wayneactia wrote:4. "Let's cooperate with DoS'ed, forum destroyers!" Condemned again, even more universally.

Not going to defend the fact Pergamon & Co. cooperated with he who I'd prefer not to name, but just to be clear, he was not delete-on-sight at the time they cooperated with him -- though he had committed acts of forum destruction by that point. Given who you are, if I were you I don't think I'd throw around distorted accusations about cooperating with someone who was DoS. You can't retroactively accuse them of that when he wasn't DoS at the time.

To return to an earlier point, it was after all this and after Aleisyr and Pergamon stepped down that Xoriet became the NPO's foreign affairs official.

Honestly, given your post was wrong at almost every turn perhaps you should stop even attempting to discuss this. It looks a bit ridiculous.

Parts of Fauxia's draft have been incorporated into this one, and Fauxia has been added as a co-author.

This is a last call for comments before submission. I plan to submit the proposal sometime this weekend, either tomorrow or Sunday.

Full Support on repealing it. I'm not normally one for giving second or thidr chances but the Pacific seems like alright sorts and I've never had an issue with them personally.

I support this. The reforms that the NPO government and Xoriet has made are well seen in my opinion. The NPO has been in some rather intense conflicts. They were called upon in a conflict between Topid, and Kitsco in a battle for the future of St Abbaddon. They’ve been known for interrupting the regional sovereignty, the last being Lazarus. This was simply the NPO way until 2018. The NPO way has shifted gradually to be more friendly to the gameplay community. The current leadership has admitted that the old NPO ways are over. Xoriet and the Pacific Army has been leading the war on fascism in NS. I believe they supported the legitimate government of the East Pacific when Fedele refused to leave office. Their overall culture has changed in a good way. This is why I feel it’s time to give the NPO a chance to shine in the GP community again.

My stance is leaning towards against due to the large history of the NPO and their actions. However, this is a well-written resolution and makes its case well, I just don't know if I want to repeal a condemnation of a region with a well-known history of condemnable actions.

Just sneaked over the line to vote, only made quorum in the last hour.

It was a bizarrely hard fought quorum this time given there was no apparent counter-campaign, at least not by telegram as far as I saw or heard from anyone. I was literally bothering Delegates for approvals until 11 a.m. eastern. Thanks to those who approved!

Against simply for the fact the last few resolutions that have hit this floor seem to be little more than jokes or bull puck attempts at simply wasting our time in order to get someone a badge. When we get some actual consideration for the at vote issues then we can actually discuss them, until then, nothing hitting this floor should pass.

I will not be responding to replies.

It was a tossup on how I would vote. In the end, I went with against, though I do acknowledge that the arguments by the for vote make its case well.

I'm very confused by this because this is a serious proposal, and on top of that I already have several authorships under my belt and don't need a badge...

But you do you, I guess?

In any case, good to see the proposal passing. Thanks to everyone voting for it.

I also recall them claiming to do many of those things in the name of the NPO or implying it incredibly strongly, and the NPO not decrying them at the time.

As a gesture of goodwill to the NPO, I have joined the WA and voted FOR. I have also deleted the dispatch I used to attempt recruiting for direct military action against the region two and a half years ago; it recently fell out of the top 100 dispatches.
