The world of women's football has not gotten nearly the attention in the multiverse of other competitions such as the World Cup, the Cup of Harmony, the DiBradini Cup, or other such competitions with a rich tradition. Fully realising that women are often integrated into men's teams or comprise some of the better teams in international football, the Incorporated Sarzonian Government believes there is still fertile ground for women to take centre stage on the footballing pitch.
Sarzonia's Incorporated Football Federation seeks to change the lack of competition suited mainly to women. That's why we have chosen to inaugurate the inaugural Jenna Raven Cup, though we hope it also earns sanction, be it formal or otherwise as the 14th edition of the Women's World Cup. Our own women's national team managed by Brenda Allison bravely fought in the third edition of the Wonder Cup in Qasden and captured the trophy despite being the seventh of eight seeds in the Dawn bracket. We believe in providing an opportunity for other women's teams to shine.
Therefore, we are inviting the teams in the footballing multiverse to compete in this event. We would cordially welcome all of you to Sarzonia to ply your trades and take home the Lovennce Butler Trophy as champions of the Jenna Raven Cup!

Anaia
Any nation from the Anaia Region who seeks to compete in this tournament will have to ICly submit a request to the Sarzonian Department of External Affairs two IC weeks ahead of the competition to obtain a sport waiver to compete in the tournament. OOCly, if you want to sign up for it and you are in Anaia, for the purposes of moving this along, I can assume that your government or football governing body or whatever has already submitted the paperwork and External Affairs has approved it. It can give us an avenue to explore RP angles that aren't already covered in the World Cup or in the relevant thread in International Incidents.
Puppets Rule
Unless specifically authorised by me (or asked for in the event we need to make numbers), please limit participation to one nation per RL player. In other words, unless you're RPing with a puppet (for instance, Banija chooses to send Silver Beach or Busoga Isles instead of their main), please send your main nation ONLY. If we do open up to puppets, users may only submit ONE puppet nation, which must announce PUBLICLY in the sign-up thread which nation it's a puppet of. The main nation then would have to confirm the puppet's status as a puppet in keeping with the newly clarified protocols regarding NS Sport puppets.
'Women's World Cup'
In Sarzonian parlance, the Weaker Sex World Cup co-hosted by Delaclava is also known as the 13th Women's World Cup, so we have designated this competition as the 14th Women's World Cup in keeping with the DiBradini Cup's tradition of also being known as the Under 21 World Cup. As far as matriarchal nations where women are considered the stronger gender, there will be an allowance for any women's teams representing said nations who choose to compete. Please indicate in your sign-up post if your nation fits this caveat and you are requesting said accommodation. [Yes, Cassadaigua, you would be given a slight bonus for women being the stronger sex in your country.]
Interest/Sign-Ups title
Since there is sufficient interest in enough players with or without the two who have inquired about timing, I've edited the title to reflect on my intent to operate this tournament now that we have at least enough to create a meaningful tournament.
Also, any genderfluid or non-binary players are also welcome to compete. We just request that you designate such players in your rosters.
