Well, yes, capitalism is a rigged, unfair system, and USA electoral system full of additional flaws.

Greater Miami Shores wrote:the Democrats and Democrat supporters don't complain when it favors their leftist

Except that it never does. Electoral College favors the Republicans, whose got 3 presidents elected since 2000 despite winning the popular vote only once. The Senate is utterly rigged towards the Republicans, the Senators who hold a GOP majority in the Senate during Trump's presidency represented around 40% of the populations, the Democratic "minority" 60%. And the gerrymandering of the House also greatly favors the Republicans.

So once again you claim a symmetry that's utterly absent from reality - the system is rigged and unfair, but not "sometimes one way, sometimes the other", it's rigged and unfair always in the same direction, and it's actually the only way the GOP can hold so much power while being supported by so few voters.

Let’s hope that S-1 for the people act passed into law which would effectively ban that as all states would be required to implement independent bipartisan redistricting commissions.

Schumer seems determined to pass it.

Is there enough time for it left ? The filibuster needs to be abolished/reformed, then S-1 needs to be passed, then S-1 and HR-1 hammered out by a commitee because they aren't exactly the same, then there will be legal challenges, then the bipartisan commissions have to be nominated, then they need to do their map, all that in time for the midterms... is it realistic to do all that in about one year ? Or will it only apply, at best, to 2024 elections ?

That is not at all what he said. You again are wrong with your use of the word fact.

The right has their OPINIONS and the left has their OPINIONS.

Facts will prove opinions to be true or false.

I believe redistricting would only have to take place before the primaries.

Unfortunately we don’t have the votes to reform the filibuster. Manchin and the AZ senators refuse to do anything of the sort.

But legal challenges doesn’t exactly mean they can’t continue and most likely given the constitutional requirement for redistricting any legal challenge would have to be quick. And the non-partisan commissions will most likely be nominated by the legislatures/parties and not the people

I have mixed feelings on the filibuster issue. Right now it helps us Republicans and we need it. But I strongly hate the filibuster, where you can talk about anything unrelated to the subject, I think it is the most stupid political law ever.

No it can't. It is only done after the census though a court can order it to happen before that.

It’s not a law but a rule.

And personally I think we should keep it but reform it to where you can only physically do it. That’s how it used to work.

The concept is fine. They just need to return it to where you had to be present all the time. None of this “tag team” and rest stuff. None of this bare minimum present.

You want to filibuster? You are in for the long haul.

Oh and kudos for not cut and pasting the usual.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw has set up a whistleblower page where people can report on how "Woke" the US military has become. They will publish egregious complaints on social media and tell the country what’s happening in the military.

Since it is on the internet, we can be sure that every story sent to them is truthful.

The funniest part is that the military has pretty much been ‘woke’ —as the conservatives use the term— for longer than many of those conservatives have been alive. It’s not a bad thing to invite different viewpoints in a field where overlooked details can literally spell death.

Yes, the 54th Massachusetts called. They want their woke back, and they also would like to note that the Union won the Civil War against the less woke Confederacy.
