Big update today because I was indisposed yesterday, so now the map has been updated with the following changes:

  • Brutalist Arstotzka added. Yes, I missed you. Yes I apologise :D
  • Fuel resource added to S. Dernel claim
  • Kolechia added
  • Oneid added
  • Nova Catania added
  • PUF expansion added
  • Lamoni expansion added
  • Dernel expansion added
  • Original USEFR expansion added. I could not, in good conscience, not give you this in lieu of the very large expansions by Dernel and Lamoni
  • Prut Meritocracy acquisition of Grenzaach Island added

Some very big land grabs there. I will permit it, of course, but more fleshing out in RPs will be required for those large colonial players from now on in the same light as I said to United Federation earlier. But fair is fair, you guys are contributing! However, some of these colonies are now the size of some countries and managing them will be a force in their own right. This would include natives and infrastructure building etc etc. So taking this into account, further expansion will be 'difficult', so please keep future expansions either more measures and conservative, or have some juicy writing backing it up.

EDIT:

At some point this weekend I will be setting up a Discord channel for some of the more trivial OOC, politicking and map shenanigans. Official request for territory should still come here though.

Also the map quality is dropping slightly because the map is getting cluttered and busy, and imgur gets too excited about that. In future I may remove roads and f you want sight of them you'll have to view any updated .map file. But we're not quite there yet!

Just to make sure I've got the scope and sizes right: 30 000 square kilometres is 4 to 5 hexes, yes? So one hex would be around 6700 square kilometres (30,000/4.5). About the size of RL Brunei plus the Faroe islands. You mentioned South Carolina as a close analogue, but that's 30,000 square miles, or close to 78,000 square kilometres.

Eyeballing it, but I think USEFR's claim might be the largest at maybe 18 hexes, so about the size of 120,060 square kilometres, or North Korea in RL. If it's supposed to be in square miles, then it would be about the size of RL Poland ( 120,733 sq mi or 312,696 km2).

Is my math here right?

I think I'm regretting having claimed so much territory when my colony was newly founded. It's just that I don't have the right perceptions of space. I think I will have to resize it.

Is anyone here who isn't in Greater Dienstad (because I have two from there already) keen on having a plane hijacked in my country and then flown back to your country, where it then is blown up on the airport property somewhere (so the only damage is to the plane and ground it's exploded over)?

We'd be looking at about 120-ish passenger plane, and basically it would be flown to your country normally then they'd hijack it on the ground there, and blow it up somewhere like a taxiway or on the runway or something.

If anyone's interested, let me know via TG! I'd have to approve of which nation, as my country might not even permit travel between our nations, but at the very least you'd get an idea of where our relations stand. :)

I've gotten as much land as I want in Craxx, so will likely not try to expand further, unless presented with a really good reason to do so.

Description of your claim: The Colonial Islands of Kawaza is a lone civilization located in The Kernig Isles. The first Kawazian People arrived 500 years ago, which then other civilizations were already occupying the precious parts of
The Kernig Isles, which were rich in resources and has everything a civilization needs to be successful. Tensions rises as The Mabibian People refused to diplomacy and immediately fired weapons at Kawazian People.

Disgusted by how violent the Mabibian People had shown to them, they started a civil war that both sides agree, which the Un-clear winner gets to have the rights to the land. Since Mabibian People were strong in military and fighting, the Kawazian Tribes went to build a small temporary shelter and living quarters for them in the other islands, which other civilizations widely agreed and their were no problems using some persuading and some trading.

Since then, civil war broke out between the too, thousands of lives were lost because weapons were simply too strong in both sides. As Kawazian People and the Mabibian People (Disbanded, Sinked into dark history forever) both wanted the lands, suddenly something insane happened.

The next Kawazian People went their to fight their day of war, the Mabibian people wern’t their. First they thought it is some war tactic but as their explored, all the traces of civilization were gone and all teh resources were intact. Myths state that they have been slaughtered overnight, or moved somewhere to avoid war. Whatever, The Kawaza people took the land.

Finally Today, the Kawaza people proudly applies this as their own land, with the history of their ownership evident and they have lobbied to Stevid to award us the land

Katase is expanding it's reach and influence beyond the waters of GD and hoping to also be neighborly with those in the region as they expand beyond their own natural borders. On top of that, Katase has a large population to feed and the economy has been stagnate over the last few years, only worsened by nations afflicted by the COVID pandemic or other recent natural disasters. Having more land can increase access to trade, resources and inter regional relations beyond the traditional embassy or alliance. The land is intended to be divide up with land based agirculture dominating the southern portions and fishing in the north.

I have no plans of expanding my territory in Craxx, because I am more interested in playing a slavery related RP, where the colonists revolt against their imperial powers. There is a possibility, albeit a very small one, that Novae Terrae will break away from Galimencia to form a new independent country. Let's see how the RP proceeds.

Also, am i allowed to use the Craxx in my own nations backstory? Countesia's unification was the direct result of a hard fought victory over a global superpower trying to invade it for its mineral wealth. Craxx would be a cool adversary.

Recently, however, under the leadership of the founder's grandson, Fred Bürger III, having donated hundreds of millions of dollars to Joseph Monroe during his successful campaign for Widefolkland's presidency, the company has started to have greater ambitions.

The Craxx Archipelago offers a business opportunity, all the lands for crops and pastures for beef any hopeful fast food megacorporation could ask for: and all under the company's direct control. More than just burgers will be made here.

Also, am i allowed to use the Craxx in my own nations backstory? Countesia's unification was the direct result of a hard fought victory over a global superpower trying to invade it for its mineral wealth. Craxx would be a cool adversary.


Yeah, go for it mate! The Craxx were warmongers, lashing out, raiding, etc. So it would fit quite nicely.

I believe you must add that my country has reclaimed one of the oil wells in Retrin Basin Bay.



If the claim is in the water itself the claim does not get acknowledged on the map. This is so because, in part, the map does not allow for sea borders to be drawn. But where borders in the sea ultimately fall is always open to interpretation. This also encourages little spats or discussions with your neighbours has to haggle and vie for resources out at sea.


Changelog:

- Claims of Widefolkland and Maladrin added
- Extension of UWO's borders now added... because I missed it off last time.
- Kawaza's claim reduced due to commitment issues as highlighted by the player. Lucky you Cartoonia!

Well this has slowed down a bit hasn't it? Lets start some shit to get it goin' again.

Apologies to everyone here, work and life has been busy for me so I've been left with little to no time for anything NS-related. Hoping to have a little more time with which to do some more RP'ing. :D

And thank you! Is there a city you'd like it to arrive at? It would need a bigger airfield to basically engulf/explode while on the runway and away from any other planes. Maybe shoot a TG and we can plan it out.
