How do I have an excellent economy without being too corrupt

Postby Iriska » Thu May 13, 2021 9:42 pm

Hi! New to NS. I've seen some countries that have excellent economy. And the thing is, they're too corrupt. I really want a democratic, safe country. But my economy is just "Good" Well, any tips on that?

Basically, aim for answering issues in a frame which gives businesses more freedom. Now, this will increase corruption but it can generally be countered (somewhat) effectively by being really harsh on things like election donation laws, transparency, and allowing wide-ranging freedom of the press.

I'd recommend lightening business regulation, but whatever you do, don't overdo it or you might end up with a bad environment/social living conditions.

I agree with this. Some issues will also have the option to crack down on corrupt politicians directly, from experience, these issues tend to have no effect on your economy. Some areas of the economy are harder to strengthen without corruption. Subsidizing business is also a pretty solid way without adding to corruption, but be prepared for taxes to go up with subsidizing.

NS stats are not 100% accurate, but they do represent my nation slightly!
