Into the unknown (OOC/Signups/ Light FanT)

After the unfortunate events of 2020 and the early months of 2021, the world was at a standstill of a deadly virus, COVID-19. After the cases were first known on Earth, those on Terra (Where Romextly lies and is connected to Earth by multiple portals at sea), desperately attempted to shut down travel. Unfortunately, it was too late and the virus soon spread towards all the nations of Terra. Romextly was hit hard, with hundreds of cases reported daily. However, in November of 2020, a vaccine was soon found and used on the Imperial Family. It was approved and was distributed with a recent study showing that 600 million are now vaccinated once and 435 million vaccinated twice.

Romextly was eager to improve relations with a few nations and sent an invitation, inviting many of either royal families or families of national leaders to try the vaccine, and if satisfied may gain the vaccine for their own nation to distribute. Along with that, the first year cadets have been allowed to join in the ceremony. And after the ceremony, all the young ones have disappeared. All they know is that an ancient relic is missing...

OOC: This rp is a light FanT rp. IT will also be focused on the young ones (12-187. The beginning of the rp will begin shortly after all the families have been vaccinated. A coupe of first year cadets will gather the kids 12-17 and show them a relic they found. Once the room is closed, then one of them will accidentally activate the relic, and transport them into a FanT world. That's all I'll say for now, but if you have any questions on the creatures involved or anything on the RP, be free to tell me here or TG me. I'll gladly respond. Now on to the rules

Rules:
1. No godmodding: You may not control other people's characters. There is an exception if that player agrees to that action and they tell me.

2. No metagaming: No reading minds, or having your character somehow knowing that there's going to be hobogoblin at the corner. All OOC info stays in the OOC:

Skills:

(Stealth) - As with all Garsians, the Sebastiano family's contribution to Garsias is a long lineage of marine snipers and recon specialists. Sebastiano was a young sniper in training before he received and accepted the emperor's invitation. Though he has yet to join and prove his worth to any military, Sebastiano knows the basics in hunting and sneaking while leaving no trace of his presence.
(Espionage) - Though he is no true spy or snitch, Sebastiano is no stranger to deception. He is familiar with basic tradecrafts and espionage techniques, such as, encryptions, informants, and observation.
(Logical) - To become a sniper meant being your own detective - a lesson Sebastiano reverently heeded.

Weakness:

(Secretive) - There is a saying in Garsian that goes, "Ocurriran acçidentes si te digo", which morbidly translates, "If I tell you, accidents will happen". Sebastiano is very coy of everything he says or thinks about, yielding extreme caution in every bit of information he or anyone else possesses or exchanges. If word gets out about something that was not supposed to be shared/exposed/reported, Sebastiano will have no qualms silencing or suppressing anybody.
(Political) - Being one of the sons of a prominent military family, Sebastiano largely works in the interests and ideas of his country rather than anyone else. He will cooperate and cordially take the lead whenever necessary, but he will always prioritize his country and people whatever means necessary if he feels one might be a considerable 'threat' or 'liability'. Cutthroat decision-making, deceptive powerplays, cold and ruthless censorship, and apathetic realpolitik thinking are some if not the deadliest 'political' instruments in Sebastiano's arsenal, making him perhaps the most clandestine individuals among the cadets.
(Liaison) - True to the aforementioned political details, Sebastiano is somebody who will play both sides to ensure long-term stability and progress. If it means siding with the opposition in secrecy to gain vital information and sell out a few 'traitors', he will do it. Needless to say, he will equally betray and sabotage the opposition as much as he does the same for his friends and allies.

Background: The sixth bearer of the 'Marcello' name in the Sebastiano military family, he was born as one of two sons and one daughter. Since the mid 17th century, the Sebastianos were responsible for raising and training sailors and, more importantly, marines. They are one of the five original Garsian families in founding the 1st Marine Regiment, better known as the 'Craneos Negros' (Black Skulls). While the other families handled leadership (Angelos and Marios), weapons (Brunos), and training (Ramiros), the Sebastianos were responsible for tactics and intelligence. Needless to say, the Sebastianos were a politically influential clan, often viewed with suspicion for their controversial and sensitive information-gathering practices and censorship.

Sebastiano himself was no different than much of his family; he was intelligent if not calculative and logical. Though his father - Sebastiano Emilio - was a marine sniper, and his mother - Sebastiana Maria - was an intelligence officer, both were anything but above suspicion to their youngest son. This had much to do with Sebastiano's upbringing, as he was neither strong like his older brother (Ecarria) or charming like his sister (Lola), both of whom thought very lowly of Sebastiano. Aside from verbal humiliation by both, it didn't help that his father was constantly away on duty, and his mother always sided with his sister; however, she was no fool to his brother, being somewhat protective whenever physical violence/altercations occurred between the two boys. Such dysfunction continued until Sebastiano was ten years old, where he uncovered his mother's unfaithfulness, which would eventually become the 'Carlo Scandal'.

Though the scandal would eventually be suppressed, the family would forever be divided, spelling the fifth divorce in its history. In light of the scandal, his father took over and disowned everyone except ten year old Marcello, the unsung hero of the scandal. Realizing that he was the only son and successor of the Sebastiano family, he and his father quickly rebuilt a bond unseen since his birth; however, their relationship was anything but 'angelic' and 'happy'. Sebastiano Sr was a tough and critical man, constantly pushing his son over the limits and regimenting him like the previous Sebastianos before him. Until now, Marcello was able to sliver or lie his way around everything, but under his father's wing, he was quick to learn fear and respect, eventually realizing that he could never lie to his father unless he were to suffer beneath his watchful and wrathful eye.

Not every day consisted of lecturing, training, and constant corporal punishments, however, as Sebastiano Sr had family prestige and honor he needed to restore in the aftermath of the Carlo Scandal. On the political stage, Mr Emilio, along with his father as well (Dom Zacarias), and from the other four families of the 1st Marine Regiment, were deeply entrenched with the media and court. From behind bars, Maria continued to use her skills and influence to try and reassume control, but Marcello's testimonies and resourcefulness continued to thwart her efforts. One of the most dastardly attempts made by Maria was to hire three prominent lawyers to deface and defame Marcello, hoping to humiliate and discredit him via his adolescent age, questionable background, and medical history. Unfortunately, one of the lawyers were intimidated and paid off by Zacarias, who revealed to him that Maria was using private detectives and corrupt intelligence officers to maneuver and rig the system to her own favor.

Upon relaying the information to Emilio, an extensive, albeit separate, investigation was conduced on every Garsian intelligence agency. Unfortunately, fourteen year old Marcello was kept out of the loop, as Emilio wanted him to stay out of political-judicial affairs as much as possible; however, Marcello indirectly learned of his grandfather's findings when he discovered and assassinated a private detective. Upon possessing the deceased detective's belongings and infiltrating his house, Emilio decided enough was enough. Five months later, on the morning of December 12th 2020, Maria was expected to appear in court, but she would never arrive. Instead, she was found dead in a prison riot along with fourteen other inmates. Meanwhile, Marcello was sent off to Romextly, apparently receiving an invitation to attend their academy; however, this was Marcello's only escape from justice, as he knew that Garsian investigators would eventually link him to the crime. Despite this, Zacarias and Emilio knew of his involvement, with the latter surprising amicable and willing to help his son, even if it meant sending him abroad to evade the law...

Good morning, everyone. It's 10:20am for me, and I like to say, this is promising RP. Before I can complete my application, however, I have several questions for Romextly:
1). Is every character a cadet?
2). What features are we going to expect out of this FanT world?

1. No. In fact I only had cadets as they are part of the First years at South Point and were invited by the emperor. The others should be part of the leaders family be it immediate or not immediate.
2. Well, think kind of like Fablehaven and WOF with no magic. There will be some magical creatures and there will be dangerous situations

I think you should close it when the big even t happens. After all, somebody could just be late.

Pretty good ones. They would match good with Aquila as he's also not an extremely social person.

Well then. Thanks for the feedback. Yours are also pretty good. I decided to add Dr. Tanner's son as a way to bring in a bit more continuity and familiarity.
