This thread is for discussion on those with Pagan faiths, for clarification the word Pagan in this thread is primarily reserved for polytheistic and animists but is a broad term open for interpretation.

This is a thread for Pagans of all kinds to come together in a kind and intellectual environment, visitors of other faiths should be respected and vice versa. Disagreements are bound to happen, this should be a room for healthy growth and discussion about ones faith.

Please enter, tell us how you found your faith, how you live day by day, your methods of worship, your fellow or local pagan communities and challenges we face and solutions to those challenges, this is the place to feel comfortable and welcome.

NOTE: Poll options were created for simplicity, where an individual should be able to find at least one option acceptable. This is partly to due with the wide variety of Pagan faiths.

I thought up my belief system(which I don't have a name for, let's call it Multiversalism) myself, deciding that every god existed, including unknown alien, alternate universe, and transdimensional ones, but the one most believed in would have more power due to their ideology being abe to command more believers due to their faith in them.

Actually sounds familar to the chaos gods in 40k where number of believers determines diety power. Very interesting. Not saying you follow dark gods or anything but it is a similar take.

Did something happen for you to believe this? Are you a convert from another faith?

So you believe that the current abrahamic god is being powered through their followers?

Yes. The other ones are real too, but have less power. Also, depending on how fragmented aliens are, their deities could have more believers, and as such the afterlife may be completely different from what we expect, but it will either be mediocre or split into good and bad.

huh. that's interesting. like people made their own gods just by believing? or do you think they were always there?

I assume they make their own gods by believing. Gods can be born, especially if they're technically not all powerful.

I'm pretty fond of the nats. Because of my background and the descriptions in the Pali Canon, I've always had a strong belief that ghosts exist and influence the world. Sort of an animist, albeit a very idiosyncratic and unorganized one. I doubt that the kind of pure animism that's often described in articles & textbooks actually exist though.

I was a Roman Catholic when I was very little, had a crisis of faith, turned atheist, then eventually agnostic.

Recently fully embraced Asatru(might become a licensed Godi) as im growing older and falling more in love with nature and my ancestors and the gods and goddesses. I consider it a return to “the old gods”

There is a good concept called science, I think all people should use it. The more I see other religions, the more I feel happy that I am weak agonstic again.

Nothing spectacular, had a collection of Jataka tales from the library as a kid which I read and enjoyed. I shifted in between different sects for a lot of years before I started attending a Thai American temple and a Pali study group.

I love it

Their are no viable hofs near me, so i might have to go to a Hindu temple as a substitute(still will pray to the aesir and vanir)

The hard part is finding a good community

While I'm not Pagan... Why did you feel the need to come into this thread and start saying people should believe in science?

That's like going into the Christian and Islam thread saying that everyone should believe in science for no reason.
