Through strife, trial, and determination, Cartoon House was proud to announce the formation of the Cartoon Dominion of North Kernig earlier this evening, a new jewel in Cartoonia’s ever-expanding empire. Since the loss of the Equestrian Territories back in 2018, Cartoonia had hopes of expanding the empire once more, and that same year they had their chance. A devastating war has left the former Craxx Empire, who were notorious warlords back then had fallen by their own doing, leaving nothing but radiated dust in their former empire. While it was most upsetting to see empires crumble, it sparked a golden opportunity for Cartoonia to claim territories as other nations scramble for it themselves. On the fourth of February in 2019, about 250,000 people (settlers, farmers, scientists, militia members, and governing bodies) left Port Dickson and into the North tip of the Kernig Isles. There the port capital of Galicula was founded. The basic construction took a year and a half to complete and was now a prospering port city. A few minor hiccups were involved, including trial and error of crops resulting in either famines or feasts and water supplies being slightly contaminated, but the endeavor has been successful, spurring many more to slowly expand westward with major cities including Mignogna and Squidonia. In early 2020, as Supreme Leader Jimmy Kudo was negotiating with the president of The United States for the succession of Texas into the Cartoon Empire, work began in North Kernig on extracting oil and natural gases on the tip near Galicula. Outward in the west part of the colony, plantations of cotton, rubber, tobacco, and timber (along with sugar, maize, and wheat) were formed to cultivate the rich lands to be used in Cartoonia. A government was set up within Galicula and after reaching one million citizens, with a vote from the Cartoon House of Representatives, the colony is now officially a Cartoon Dominion.

Citizens living in Cartoon Dominions will enjoy living in a small piece of Cartoonia only paying no income tax at all (but still have to pay any sales taxes and a payroll tax). The territory is self-governing with a representative legislature, but still answers the call of the Cartoon Government. In times of war, dominions are expected to join the fight with Cartoonia’s allies. The person in charge of the management of the dominion government is an Imperial Governor-General, and the IGG of North Kernig is Nedward Churchill Flanders III, a distant relative of former traditionalist politician Ned Flanders. The new Imperial Governor-General has future plans for the dominion which include expansion of dominion borders, continued excavation of resources, exploration, research, and the most important thing to him, the spread of Judeo-Christian values on locals and those remaining in the former Craxx Empire. Nedward is a devout Toontholosist, a division of the Catholic faith, and is eager to share his faith to others. He will be joined by Army Major General Rumi Hironaka Mannerheim, who will have joint control of both army and naval operations serving as the commander of joint military forces. This marks the new era for Cartoonian imperial power which political experts says will continue to grow in the years to come.

Recently declassified documents published by the Department of War revealed just how much expense has been made for the protection of the overseas territories-- a walloping 150,000 personnel stationed at Fort Mokosh hearkens back to the days of sail and imperialistic ambition (though Principle Chairman Bezukhov vehemently denies any desire for permanent colonial holdings).

The declassified reports were begrudgingly printed in spite of the Federal Republic’s increased readiness due to a perceived nuclear threat from its fellow nations-- Fort Mokosh, established nearly eight years ago in Craxx after the shocking collapse of the Craxx Empire at the hands of the Allies twenty years ago, had the primary purpose of serving as an airfield for tanker aircraft to resupply nuclear-armed aircraft on their stops around the globe as a supplement to ICBMs in a first-strike scenario. However, Fort Mokosh has seemingly grown well beyond that-- the site serves as the headquarters of the Tropical CPA Training Command, hosts the 3rd and 14th Naval Infantry Divisions and 52nd Army Division on base, and provides facilities for the maintenance and deployment of four Air Force Wings.

The reasons for the expansion: not to prepare for a peer-level conflict, but deter hostile rogues on the former capital island of Draxadd, says Chairman of the Department of War Sara Lysiak. Though not entirely unfounded-- groups in the remnants of the Craxx Empire have been known to take shots at loitering aircraft-- several watchdog groups have thrown doubt into those motivations.

“There is not a single reason why the Federal Republic should even bother to combat the Craxxian squatters. They’re beaten. Totally docile. And not in any shape to put up a fight towards the Draxadd Unincorporated Territories-- so why should we treat them like a threat when we’ve got more diplomatic problems on every side of our homeland?” Says Head of the State Security Committee and patron of those watchdog groups, Ilya Markov.

But those disparate squatters may pose more of a threat than is let on.

An exclusive interview with Hetman Dmytro Nadarenko, administrator of Fort Mokosh, was interrupted by punctuated gunfire which set the entire base on lockdown.

“Routine and nothing to worry about, I assure you,” Nadarenko said curtly.

In that same interview, the Hetman revealed the planned expeditions to quell the squatters, venturing into the wilderness beyond the declared borders of the Draxadd Unincorporated Territories, even going so far as to travel dangerously close to the borders of the Colonial Drifterican States.

“Combat aircraft and land-based elements alike will, of course, respect the boundaries of the Imperial Empire as they combat the fringe elements,” Nadarenko added as if an afterthought.

Nuclear-armed aircraft still make their rounds, however. Out of the hundreds of aircraft stationed (including PkV-17, KB-14, VI-148, and PkV-21) nearly seventy PkV-17’s can carry the ”Krugis” stealth air-launched cruise missile with its 200 kiloton warhead, and routinely go on lengthy deterrence patrols towards other nuclear powers.

A total of 93,750,000 Bills has been invested into the infrastructure and maintenance of Fort Mokosh, representing a much larger portion of the defense budget spent on base operations support than any other Cossack military base abroad-- an expense defenders of the extraterritorial military base claim are necessary in exchange for heightened nuclear security.

Those that decry the existence of the Draxadd Unincorporated Territories (DUT; Nedolucheni Terytoriyi Draksada) now use the apparently rising radiation levels in the Dalekytochka settlement as reason to abandon or withdraw-- however, Afanasij Voloshyn, ambassador assigned to the DUT to deal with the other countries in the area, “can no more agree to that course of action than I can lick my own foot.”

The background of this issue stems over concerns of whether it is ethical to send workers overseas to harvest the former nations of Craxx’s resources despite the danger and radiological concerns, whether the Federal Republic has the legal right to harvest those resources with what appear to be anarchist remnants of the Craxx Empire still about, and even whether any nation has the right to visit the graveyard of the now-extinct state, wiped from the slate of history in nuclear hellfire.

Though most in the higher government (save for radical politicians like Ilya Markov), military, and leading figures in the economy (namely Wassily Kazakov, owner of WURCo.) support the introduction of Cossack workers to harvest the resources, opponents to the Draxadd Unincorporated Territory say that such a move based solely on economic gain is immoral and imperialistic. These opposition groups; a rambling front of liberals, self-professed anti-imperialists, and-- dare I say it-- unionists; presented their arguments before the National Assembly’s Labor and Resources Committee last Friday-- major points of interest were their complete lack of evidence, having only one reported case of death by radiation poisoning out of the several thousand of Cossacks employed in WURCo. in Draxadd.

This lack of evidence was highlighted by Afanasij Voloshyn in a statement released just yesterday, while he was on the other side of the world.

“If you’re going to fearmonger about a one-in-a-million chance, I might suggest actually collecting more data about the incident. For example, official data collected two months ago show that the radiation levels around the DUT remain steady at 10 mSv-- not nearly enough to cause death. And not bad for an island nuked to death almost twenty years ago, either.”

With this, opposition groups have slowly lost support and cohesion as their members feel more emboldened to report the crimes they see of their superiors. Nearly fifteen separate ringleaders who rallied against the Draxadd Unincorporated Territories have been arrested on charges of mail fraud in the past few days and hastily sentenced and locked away.

“The establishment of the Draxadd Unincorporated Territories represents a profound benefit to the FRCP and her citizens, both politically and economically. The Federal Republic becomes safer, those who come here to work have an amazing opportunity to provide for their families, and the economy booms-- it’s a golden deal.” Voloshyn concluded.

Indeed, his words do have a backing. Initial reports project that the Draxadd Unincorporated Territories is sitting on a potential of 2 billion barrels of crude oil, a significant bump in the oil production of the FRCP on its road to self-sufficiency.

What more will come from our claim in the wonderful lands of Draxadd? Or will more of the ignorant come to oppose it and seek to undermine our proud nation?

Rare Earth Mineral Prompts North Alacia Expansion

At approximately 13:46pm, the North Alacia Settlement Zone has announced that prospecting teams sent across the border have located two incredibly valuable deposits of rare earth minerals. The first, located to the north, was reported to be an area rich in zinc, neodymium, tungsten and silver. The second, smaller claim, is a reportedly diamond rich vein located to the east of the colony. Outside of a few sparsely inhabited hamlets belonging to the post-apocalyptic remnants of the now departed Craxx Empire, these areas of land remain untouched.

To ward off retaliation from the locals who have carved out a living from these territories, native specialists have been sent towards these communities with gifts. Veterans from similar endeavours in the other Countesian Settlement zones, they hope to foster good relations with the indigenous folk.

Upon confirmation of the economic value of these claims, mining companies under contract from the Federal Republic of Countesia have already begun their exodus towards these unclaimed stretches of land to grab their share of the spoils. Stock prices in both extraction and refinery companies based in North Alacia have risen based on the anticipated profits to come from these new territories.

The southern portion of the island, which had previously been occupied during during the war against the Craxx Empire, is now virtually uninhabited as its native inhabitants fled for the Craxx mainland during the war. Arcaenia had previously occupied the northern part of the island of Streona during the war, now renamed the Arcaenia colony of New Skåneland, before its annexation of the southern portion of Streona. With the colony of New Skåneland now encompassing the entire island of Streona Chancellor von Sydow announced that Arcaenia would begin construction of two port facilities in the south and southwestern portions of the Island along with the construction of another military base, strengthening Arcaenia's economic and military position in the region. The colony of New Skåneland is currently sparsely inhabited by civilians with the exception of workers from Wiking Mineral AG, Arcaenia's largest mineral exploration and mine development company which is currently in the process of exploiting the islands deposits of rare earth metals. New tunnel to Stranta!: About a year ago, following the opening of a new mine near Stranta, the Dernellian government saw fit to begin construction on a new tunnel through the mountains to begin a direct route to Stranta, at exactly 6:53 this morning the tunnel was completed, and is set to open at 6:00PM. The new tunnel allows for quicker movement between Stranta and Empyrea without having to go around the previous winding roads. This cuts down an estimated 3 hours of driving!

The Dernellian government has raised concerns over the matter as they hope containment of the bacteria will be taken care of properly. Should Piikala fail to do so, sanctions are threatened. As such all flights to and from Piikala and their colonies have been cancelled and will remain such until further notice.


Colonial Expansion: Recently several colonies have begun rapid expansion, most note worthy is Obersteina's expansion into the Dreadfort Bay, in which they are claiming to now own many of the islands in such. No contest has been raised yet for this land, but potential conflict may ensue due to the prominent shipping routes through the bay. Other notable expansions is a smaller expansion by Countesia, expanding mostly northwards, and slightly east, the reasons for such are unknown. Rumors are spreading that Lapsil plans to expand south after a large oil deposit has been found, this may prove extremely beneficial to Lapsil.

The expanding influence of the Ordenite Reich in the Craxx Archipelago has raised concerns to the Federal Republic’s lack of response; particularly since the occupation of the Dreadfort Isles runs contrary to the stated policy of the FRCP to actively seek to deny any member of the international community supremacy over the Craxx region.

This policy, labeled the Voloshyn Declaration (its namesake being Afansij Voloshyn, chief diplomat stationed in the Archipelago) was released almost at the start of current international land-grab that has stricken the former territories of the Craxx Empire, and is now is receiving calls to be enforced by some in the National Assembly. Anton Bodnar, senior legislator and head of the Committee on Foreign Relations, was especially in favor of this idea.

“We ought to stand our ground whenever we say something. The Federal Republic’s word has meaning, and it should certainly carry diplomatic weight whenever it is tossed around. The Voloshyn Declaration was one of the few things we open our mouths to talk about, and we should not have it made irrelevant like the noise some other nations produce.”

What exactly this enforcement would entail, however, has been less than detailed. Sara Lysiak, head of the Department of War, has called for surgical strikes on Ordenite infrastructure and equipment (not troops, she later specified) to show the consequences of trifling with the FRCP. Others, who have declined to be named, call for a less active approach-- instead of military force, sanctions and diplomatic reprimands could be imposed on the Reich, to avoid a state of war amidst heightened nuclear tension.

Meanwhile, on the home front-- so to speak, when in reality over thousands of kilometers away from actual Cossack territory-- the Draxadd Unincorporated Territory has been slowly dealing with the pockets of native resistance, made easy with perpetual air superiority. The military administration of the DUT released a predicted swath of ‘secure’ area which would be fit for commercial exploitation that reached across the Draxadd landmass, a strip from Fort Mokosh to the Dreadfort Bay.

While the expressed intent of these expansions are purely commercial, the establishment of two new operating bases deep into the continent seem overtly of a militaristic nature. Hetman Nadarenko, in another interview, claims that Fort Dudka and Fort Bojchenko are “in part exercise for our engineering corps and in part protection for our nation’s economic interests in the territory.”

What was not explained by the Craxx Archipelago’s premier general, however, was its reason for being so close in proximity to the island expansions of the Ordenite Reich. With the constant unfurling of this situation, one thing is made clear-- the FRCP will continue to develop its claims in the Craxx Archipelago irregardless of potential international conflict.

International news — the Prut Meritocracy is increasing its presence in the region

The Prut Meritocracy is formally extending its claim in the territory of the former Craxx Empire. This sudden expansion was triggered by the recent events to the north of the PIR “Krachsland”. Kanzler von Sydow’s announcement of Arcaenian expansion was met with concern in the office of the Prut governor and commander of the Prut forces in the region, Adelheid Lottesdochter Bomhever. Kleruch Balstahl almost immediately organised a response. The reasoning of the governor-commander:

“Although the move by the Arcaenians is basically them just entering their own backyard, the suddenness of their actions is disconcerting. Arcaenia now formally and not just de facto controls the northern Strensalls. Their plans on expanding port facilities in their south and further military buildup in the same region suggest either an overly cautious approach with their neighbours or certain ambitions regarding the region. Given that the southern Strensalls are also controlled by a single power, it’s only natural for the PM to respond in kind and take control of the middle Strensalls. It’s us basically entering our own front yard.

One also has to consider the equally recent expansions in the far west, in Dreadfort Bay archipelago and in central Retrinhes near the Strix Bay. Other areas as well. The colonial powers seem to have reached the limit of their current controlled territory, as they are starting to expand. It might signal that their colonies are becoming unprofitable and require a boost, or that they are developing just fine and are running out of space. Either way, having terra nullius to our west while our neighbours are eyeing strategic locations for expansion is a recipe for disaster in the future. I’d rather we nip that in the bud.”

The two islands and the peninsula to the west of current Prut territory (as illustrated to the right) have been visited several times by Prut forces in the past six years, albeit never officially claimed. That particular region experienced heavy fighting, suffered severe strategic and operational bombardment, and the landscape is still scarred, dangerous, and requires extensive investment and cleanup operations. The Prut presence so far is limited in scope, but permanent. The northern island will host a signaling station, radio station, and weather station in the northwest. The western island will at least in the beginning host a lighthouse and radio station, to make the strait between them more navigable. The peninsula is claimed as a simple extension of the current zone of control. Prut soldiers have raised the Prut banner at the westernmost point and placed markers. When asked about further plans for the region, governor-commander Bomhever remarked:

“While economic and commercial development is not off the table, it’s not the driving factor. Strategic stability in the region is the main concern. Likewise, scientific and research endeavours take precedence over any motivation for profit. The interior of the islands is barely explored. We certainly hope that it might contain more sites of former Craxx activity, perhaps even more bunkers, holds, or vaults. We are here primarily on a recovery mission after all. Restitution comes afterward.

And the response to Arcaenian expansion might lead to further talks and the formalisation of the relations between the Arcaenians and Prut. We share the gap between us now, we’ve never been hostile with each other. Just because we’re on islands does not require us to be insular. We’ll see how things develop from here.”

Shocking news came from the Official Press Release of the Federal Presidency. Yesterday, on April 06, 2021, the discovery of new lands available around the archipelago of the Craxxi Islands was announced.
According to what was found by the military officers of the EFEC, the archipelago belonged to an empire called Craxx, in fact. But this empire collapsed following a nuclear war with the Holy Empire of Stevid and some allied nations. Now the islands are largely uninhabited and rich in resources. Also according to some military sources, thanks to satellite images it was possible to see that many nations have already begun to settle or have already established themselves within the region.
President Nathalie Pérreau announced that even the European Federation will not stand by and will send an EFEC regiment of 2000 men to claim part of the Craxxian territory and initiated procurement commissions with some European companies that will operate on that territory.
The operations will be entrusted to Colonel Thierry Dubois of Battlegroup 16, who will be responsible for cleaning and presiding over the area for the arrival of the employees of the selected companies. The colonel will also have both civil and military command of the operation.
The military command will leave at 7 am from the military port of Toulon and will be escorted by the battleships Jupiter and L'Europe and by four battleships: the Re d'Italia, the Vittorio Emanuele III, Nueva Cartago, The Prospérité, more than cargo ships for the transport of construction materials and supplies.

New tunnel to Stranta!: About a year ago, following the opening of a new mine near Stranta, the Dernellian government saw fit to begin construction on a new tunnel through the mountains to begin a direct route to Stranta, at exactly 6:53 this morning the tunnel was completed, and is set to open at 6:00PM. The new tunnel allows for quicker movement between Stranta and Empyrea without having to go around the previous winding roads. This cuts down an estimated 3 hours of driving!

Shortly after the announcement of the Dernels Stranta Tunnel, The Governor of the North Alacian Settlement Zone, acting on behalf of the Countesian Federal Government, officially invited Dernel to link their existing highway network with its own to crearte the first inter-colonial highway on the Craxx Archipelago. Technically, travel between the colonies is already possible, but only by cutting through precariously steep and unpaved roads. This announcement will potentially link North Alacia to its neighbour and benefit the economies of both.

HYPERIA - Arcaenia Chancellor Sebastian von Sydow announced to the press this afternoon that the Arcaenia had formally proposed a non-aggression pact with the Prut Meritocracy. The proposed Arcaenian-Prut Non Agression Pact would formalize relations between both nations and would involve both nation's agreeing to resolve their problems by bilateral negotiations and to forgo any armed conflict for an effective period of 10 years. The move comes in light of increasing tensions caused by the Arcaenian annexation of southern Streona and the Prut Meritocracy annexation of the middle Strensall islands.

"The Arcaenian annexation of southern Streona was purely a defensive maneuver and Arcaenia does not have any plans to annex or conquer more territory in the Strensall islands" said the Chancellor in his television announcement. "Leaving the southern portion of the island our colony is located on un-annexed would give any potential invaders an obvious foothold should they seek to conquer us", he continued, adding that the annexation "Would now force any potential invaders to conduct an amphibious invasion against a now defended and occupied coastline, a move that would be significantly more difficult than landing on the previously unoccupied southern coastline". Under the terms of the non-aggression pact Arcaenia and the Prut Meritocracy would also agree to collaborate on post-war rebuilding and cleanup operations and on future economic and commercial developments in the Strensall Isles. Chancellor von Sydow has also proposed that the Arcaenian and Prut navies partake in joint naval patrols around their territory in the Strensall Isles, adding that the region is "rife for exploitation by pirates, smugglers, and other unscrupulous actors who may seek to exploit the power vacuum caused by the collapse of the Craxx empire".

The far flung colony of Pix, site of initial Stevidian landings and military action against the now Former Craxx Empire, is deemed to be ‘under threat’ so says the Imperial Foreign Office. The statement was coupled with a declaration that Pix Colony would “move to secure not only its territorial integrity but also is financial and mining assets in light of recent colonial expansion by international powers”. The move marks the first increase in Pix Colony boundaries in nearly twenty years and is apparently in answer to belligerent foreign powers in Craxx. The expansion is reputed to be relatively minor in comparison to those seen by other nation-states’ colonial administrations. It is taken to include the two small islands in the Mouth of Pix and an expansion towards the Alacian mountains to incorporate the rivers and lowlands to the mountain range’s west. The Imperial Governor to Pix Lord Decimus Erastus spoke to press associations through his press office, stating:

“His Majesty’s most holy government and church has instructed me to enact these moves to guarantee Stevidian interests already held in Craxx. There was no overt mentioning of the recent and explosive rhetoric between The Imperial State of Piikala and Lapsil colony, but it is likely that the stirring of Pix Colony once again will be down to, in no small part, to grand powers now asserting influence on other Craxx colonial holdings. To date, there has been no sign of military build-up, exercise of manoeuvres by the Pix Brigade aside from a single frigate and support tanker establishing a presence of the two islands in the Mouth of Pix.

The Department of Foreign Relations has reaffirmed in a media briefing earlier today that it will take actions to reduce tensions between the FRCP and Ordenite Reich over the apparent border friction in the Craxx Archipelago, starting with inviting the rival to a round of talks that it announced would begin in Dalekytochka and another in an Ordenite colonial holding yet to be determined.

Nikita Kazakov, Chairman of the Department of Foreign Relations, says that “though the belligerent stance the Ordenites have taken indeed raises eyebrows, they are level-headed, just like us. We hope something good can come out of these talks.“

These talks come after the Reich invaded several of the Dreadfort Isles, which come concerningly close to the current borders of the Draxadd Unincorporated Territories, and a close encounter between a Cossack maritime patrol aircraft and a flight of Ordenite combat aircraft. What this could mean for the Federal Republic is a potential alliance with the Ordenite Reich over their territories in the Archipelago-- a quick reversal in rhetoric from threatening nuclear retribution.

This reversal was rationalized by Vadym Polishchuk, notable government watchdog living abroad, as, “Nothing more than a scheme by the ruling council to make their unholy alliances public. Right under our noses. They’re teaming up to institute their population control bioweapons, and kill off those not part of their covert cabal!”

WURCo. has stepped up efforts to develop and populate the Draxadd Unincorporated Territory as hundreds of employees are shipped in every week to chisel out a piece of civilization out of the island of Draxadd that has lain fallow for so long. Major News In Erzherzogtum Alzen


Stadtpolizei Möddenz responding early on to the major incident in the city’s Eastern suburbs that has claimed the lives of 25.

Grüezi - news of a major incident yesterday morning involving spuratic gunfire and heavily armed insurgents in the Colonial Kingdom’s capital has reached the homeland, where we can confirm that the Reichskanzler and Arch-Chancellor of Alzen had an hour-long call to discuss the situation as it unfolded and coordinate whatever support the Kingdom needed from the Homeland.

At around 10:00, Stadtpolizei Möddenz began receiving reports of a number of heavily armed insurgents near the city centre firing their weapons at innocent Arvolken, followed by more reports of heavy gunfire a half hour later in some of the city’s eastern suburbs. Initially kept within the upper-end of Condition W status during the first thirty minutes of the situation, upon hearing the further reports in other parts of the city, Arch-Chancellor Willibald von Wolff upgraded the entire territory to Condition S, initially set to last for 5 hours before being reduced down to Condition E if there were no further attacks.

Within minutes of the Condition S, Stadtpolizei Möddenz began heavily deploying firearms sections across the city in addition to the ones already at the original scene, with the Reichspolizei engaging its elite EKO 32 to nationally sensitive locations across the territory, along with the territory-wide activation of EKO 34 Firearms sections.

In Möddenz’s city centre, the response time was 29 seconds for observations drones to be deployed and overhead, sending alerts out to the surrounding area of the incident to engage in armed lock-down status until the alert is lifted. All surrounding households and businesses had reported status ready within 5 minutes. One minute after the initial call, police officers on the ground in the patrol section had arrived and established a cordon area of two blocks, to allow Stadtpolizei Firearms sections to proceed into the cordoned area and engage the insurgents.

There was ten minutes of continued gunfire within the locked down area with what was then confirmed to be a total of six ausland insurgents. After 10 minutes, the gunfire stopped as the insurgents had barricaded themselves in a business under renovation on Wilhelmstraße, the city’s elite counter-terror section EKO 72 setting up reinforced positions all around the building to began negotiations on a peaceful termination of the incident.

These attacks were only a small taste of what would come if action is not taken.”

Polizei firearms sections across the city had successfully squashed these insurgent attacks within one hour, with all 50 ‘highly-trained’ soldiers of the former Craxx Empire having been killed by local police officers used to responding to traffic complaints and personal disputes.

In a statement just before 21:00, Polizeikommisar Böhler confirmed that Stadtpolizei Möddenz would remain on Condition S for the next two days, however all lock-downs and movement restrictions will be lifted. “That being said, the public will notice an increased police presence, as well as Reichsgrenz as they work to contain the spread of these ausländer within our great Colonial Kingdom. We encourage anyone to come forward if they see anything suspicious, to report it at once to their local Polizei, but not to engage or interact with these terrorists. Before going to bed tonight, familiarise yourself with the quick-action numbers to call the Reichspolizei, Stadtpolizei Möddenz and the Reichsgrenz.”

The Arch-Chancellor has updated Grüezi that the Condition S will be maintained within the entire Erzherzogtum for two days, just in case of further attacks. After two days, it will be either downgraded to Condition E or extended for another day.

Right on the heels of the attack, the Archduchess of Alzen, with the support of the Emperor, has decided to put an end to this terrorism before it becomes an issue. With reports indicating as many as 3,000 soldiers remained in a large terrorist compound, and two other smaller compounds spread around the unpacified region North of Alzen, the Archduchess mobilised the local garrison and requested some additional support by Homeland units, which will arrive in Adebeck within one week.

“These illegal attacks on our great Colonial Kingdom have been shocking and caused serious loss of life, as well as mental harm to those who have lost friends and family. We must not allow these terrorists to continue, we must not allow Alzen to fall into the hands of ausländer, and we must remain ever vigilant and ever self-reliant being so far from the Homeland. For the Empire,” the Archduchess said in a speech today.

According to sources within the Reichsmilitär, some two full brigades, a wing and two naval divisions have been directed into the area to secure it on behalf of the Erzherzogtum, representing a force of around 20,000 total.

In a speech by the Arch-Chancellor of Alzen given just after the Archduchess', “Through the night, hundreds of aircraft, dozens of ships and thousands of equipment and soldiers have deployed into the Northern borderlands to secure key objectives, and are already hard at work deleting these terrorist breeding camps and stamping out their supporters before these ausländer can bring harm to the Arvolken people or our allies. Let me be clear, these people are terrorists, nothing more; illegal insurgents who have no respect for our laws or our lives and want to continue their reign of terror across the region. The Imperial Unity will not stand for these terrorists to spread their filth and threaten the lives of hard-working, innocent Arvolken. We also encourage all nations with local Craxx populations to take great care in their interactions with them. Would you let a mass-murderer into your home after all? We have seen first hand through bloodshed and through suffering of the Arvolken people what these terrorists are truly capable of, not to mention the savagery the fallen Craxx Empire once inflicted upon the world. Nations who are known to be harbouring these terrorists should be held to account, unless they take action against these terrorist populations within their borders. These people are directly contributing to the instability in the region and will remain an ever present threat to the Imperial Unity and to every nation in Craxx,” the Arch-Chancellor warned.

By the end of the day, the Reichsmilitär had secured nearly all of their objectives and begun setting up border checkpoints along the recently expanded Countesian colony. The Arch-Chancellor confirmed that Reichsgrenz soldiers will also be moving in to support the Reichsmilitär along the border regions with Countesia, and that preparations to stabilise and integrate the new territory as an integral part of Erzherzogtum Alzen.

The new border region has been temporarily designated as Reichstand Rentinhelm, until a suitable name can be decided by the Arvolken people at a later date, and will remain under military control until further notice. Further news will be reported as it becomes available.

New Coastline Sparks Canal Plans

Following the recent expansion of the Northern Alacia Settlement Zone in response to the discovery of rare earth minerals identified by prospecting teams, the fledgling colony has found itself in an enterprising position in Archipelago affairs as it is one of the first of the occupying powers to possess two independent coastlines. Originally limited to the confines of the Alacian Gulf, vessels leaving and entering North Alacia are forced to negotiate the winding waterways of the archipelago to reach Port Alacia. The aquistion of a new coastline has prompted the governing council of the Settlement Zone, with approval from the Federal Government, to begin drawing up plans to construct a canal to link North Alacia to the open sea to the west.

In addition to increased access to Port Alacia, the coastline of western sea lends hope to a possible establishment of a fishing industry to rival the fellow settlement zone of West Caustoles. However, this possibility rests on entirely on the approval of the Federal Government, who may deem the funding of the canal too expensive of an endeavour for the expected profit. With no canal, freshly caught fish will have to be transported through the largely untamed lands of the colony to the shipping facilities of Port Alacia.

Meanwhile, native specialists have identified several communities of Craxx descendents living within the borders of the colony. Teams in the field have noted that the technological levels of these communities vary wildly. With some communities possessing basic electricity and firearms, and some no more than simple farmers and herders. It is likely that this imbalance of technology stems from the post-apocalpytic downfall of the Craxx Empire. First contact has yet to be approved, as many fear the locals will likely be incredibly xenophobic.

New news regarding the Craxxi Archipelago.
Following the confirmation of oil fields, rare metals and materials usable for rubber by Battlegroup 16, President Nathalie Pérreau announced the preparation for the dispatch of civilians to the place occupied by the EF, which for the occasion, it was called "New Europe". Civilians, at the moment, will be the employees of the companies that have won the contract for the exploitation of materials such as the government company EF Petroleum, the German private company DeuExtra, and the Italian private company MastroRestauro, but it is not excluded that the Federal Government will sooner or later give the green light to other European citizens to visit and live in the new colony.

It was also communicated that Colonel Dubois, given the presence of more and more nations occupying the archipelago, is sending teams more and more inland, establishing outposts in the territory. One of the main targets of him are the oil platforms located in the Retrin Basin.

Roads, Routes, and Paths! A new way for prosperity!
Following the Countesian proposal for a major highway system connecting the colonies of Lapsil and North Alacia no response from the Dernellian government was heard until a recent press release by the military. Now we know that Lapsil will be tunneling through the mountains for a straight path from Stranta to Hamilton, opening up trade and travel between the two! Digging has already begun, perhaps the government had a delayed response due to wanting to start work right after the announcement. We don't any concrete evidence, but it is rumored that the workers and civilians have seen several Egida Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar systems near the dig site.

Earlier yesterday many of us heard the warning messages from the street speakers in Lapsil. The warnings ended up being for nothing, at least to us. The Dernellian military tested the widely rumored Rods From God System, commonly referred to as RFGS, in some uninhabited land. This entails the systems first actual test, and use. Word from the military is that the test was a success, and the actual effect matched that of the prediction. Apparently the Hammer fell 20^oS70^oW, which the land has now, about a day later, been claimed by the colony of Erzherzogtum Alzen.

Ordenite Kriegsmarine sinks Federal fishing vessel near Dreadfort Bay!


Federal government demands response!

Reports of a fishing vessel, bearing a Federal flag, being attacked by the United World Order, poured into Fort Rio military command in the early hours this morning. The fishing vessel, now identified as the Krasnyy Mollyusk, was fishing west of Dreadfort Bay when it issued an SOS to all open channels, claiming it was under attack by an Ordenite ship. Fort Rio military command launched two jets to investigate the claims of attack, but could not find the Krasnyy Mollyusk. However, an Ordenite destroyer was spotted in the vicinity of the SOS.

A few hours after the SOS, the Ordernite Kriegsmarine released a statement that they had intercepted a criminal vessel east of the Ordenite colony, and claimed that the vessel refused to cooperate, so they were forced to sink it. They reported no survivors.

Federal authorities have petitioned the Ordenite colony for details and evidence that the fishing vessel, Krasnyy Mollyusk, was up to criminal activities, but as of this publication, no evidence has been provided. Federal naval vessels are now searching the last known location of the Krasnyy Mollyusk hoping to find survivors or any details regarding the attack.

Fyodor Abramov, captain of the Krasnyy Mollyusk, was a Zvezdan refugee who fled to the People's Unified Federation after the United World Order destroyed his hometown of Starvopol with nuclear weapons. Starting over in the Federal colony of Isla Alma, Fyodor became a successful fisherman off the tropical coast and even saved up to buy his own boat, the Krasnyy Mollyusk. Taking advantage of the Federal Resettlement Program, he brought his family to the new Federal colony of Stanlitio in the Craxx Archipelago to build a proper homestead for his family. He is currently presumed dead, but Federal authorities will continue to look for him and his crew.

Fyodor's wife, Nadia Abramov, told MNN that she wishes to see her husband soon, and hopes that the Ordenites are wrong. Yet the possible widow is far too familiar with Ordenite brutality to be too hopeful. She had already lost a brother and mother to the Ordenites back in Zvezda. The couple's two daughters, Sonya and Sasha, are too young to comment.

Federal Colony of Stanlitio in the Craxx Archipelago proposes expansion

Influx of colonists results in expansion of the fledgling colony

The colonial government of Stanlitio has proposed the following expansions to capture additional rare earth element deposits located on the island of Stanter. With the Kolechian colony to the north east, Federal colonists can continue to expand south west into unclaimed territories and set up new homesteads and begin again.

The Federal Resettlement Program offers land grants to civilians, companies, and most often refugees, to give them a chance to start over. So far the colony of Stanlitio has been a fertile land attracting many of the refugees from the former Zvezdan territories in Krasnova, as well as former Stevidians of South Greal looking to begin again.

As the colony expands, so do its needs. Currently the security forces of the island are mostly for internal security and guarding the border from unorganized looters, but with tensions increasing in the Dreadfort Bay, local government has requested additional forces.

The Federal Navy has promised to provide a Carrier task force to the region, but that is still months away. For now, the colony will continue to train up and supply its local militias, while maintaining contact with allies and friendly states in the Craxx Archipelago.

Lamonian President Andrew Stinson announced the southerly expansion of the Lamonian colony of Matsudo today, two days after Lamonian soldiers had entered the annexed territory in pursuit of Craxxian terrorists who have been using the unclaimed area as a base of operations. Lamonian resettlement programs allow Lamonian citizens of economically disadvantaged backgrounds the chance to start a new life in Matsudo, and these programs will be expanded with the acquisition of these new lands. The raw and untapped nature of the Lamonian colony is expected to provide plenty of high-paying jobs for those willing to relocate, and housing is being rapidly laid down as part of a construction boom, with Quonset huts being used as temporary structures until more permanent buildings have completed construction. Unlike their counterparts from the 1940s, these Quonset huts take techniques from modular housing, and are reputedly comfortable places to live and work. Entire new cities are springing up left and right, under the watchful eye of the colony's Governor-General, Lt. General Asano Tetsuo.

More Lamonian troops are scheduled to be rotated to the colony in order to provide for its defense, though President Stinson has stressed that these troops would not be used to attack other colonies, but only for defense. While unconfirmed, multiple sources have suggested to Lamoni Today that this move was coordinated with The Holy Empire of Stevid and Rubet, who also have a colony in the area, which will now share a border with the Lamonian colony of Matsudo.

International news — Pruto-Arcaenian agreement reached: Pact and cooperation

Prompted by Kanzler von Sydow’s call to reach an agreement, several diplomatic exchanges and rounds of talk took place between the representatives of the Arcaenian colony on Streona and delegates from the PIR “Krachsland”. The final talks and signing took place on Grenzaach, the relatively small island between the main island of Streona and the northernmost Krachsland island group. Topics included formalising relations—accomplished with the signing of the proposed non-aggression pact—and joint naval operation within the Streona-Krachsland island group and the nearby waters. Currently these exercises and patrols are aimed at discouraging as well as intercepting potential criminal elements within the less developed and controlled areas of the area. However, they are also an obvious and implied show of force to the colonial powers that the Strensalls are not an easy target. Even more remarkably, after almost two decades and several different powers being present in Craxx, this would be the first official formalisation of relations between two non-Craxx polities. Hopefully this will prompt the other administrations to rethink their insular policies and expand their relations in the region beyond the umbilical cord tying them to their metropoles. Governor-commander Bomhever further commented:

“We think that the Pruto-Arcaenian agreement is a step in the right direction, definitely for our particular neighbourhood, and also for the entire area of the former Craxx Empire. Some overtures were also attempted with other powers which look promising, even if nothing concrete has materialised so far. If nothing else, this pact and cooperation agreement is strong evidence that relations between local polities need not be based around threats and aggression.”

Grenzaach, the tropical island that got to host the delegates and got play the role of neutral ground, was per agreement ceded to the PM, specifically to the PIR “Krachsland”. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement, as Streona would have less areas to police and worry about and could concentrate on developing and rebuilding its newly acquired south, and Krachsland got more territory to implement its various projects and endeavours in a safe manner and location. It was also a show of good faith on part of the Arcaenians that was well received by their Prut neighbours. Now that the land and sea issues between them are resolved, other mutually beneficial developments can be considered:

“Streona is a settler colony, and is projected to keep growing. PIR “Krachsland” does not have such ambitions. Malthusian pressures are not an issue in the Prut Meritocracy. Still, Krachsland does have a high proportion of highly skilled, highly educated professionals in various fields. This concentration of skill and expertise could be put to good use in assisting the development of the other colonies. An expansion of economic activity in Krachsland has been considered at least since four years ago, and the growth of South Streona might be a good opportunity to pursue certain projects and proposals.”

Roads, Routes, and Paths! A new way for prosperity!
Following the Countesian proposal for a major highway system connecting the colonies of Lapsil and North Alacia no response from the Dernellian government was heard until a recent press release by the military. Now we know that Lapsil will be tunneling through the mountains for a straight path from Stranta to Hamilton, opening up trade and travel between the two! Digging has already begun, perhaps the government had a delayed response due to wanting to start work right after the announcement. We don't any concrete evidence, but it is rumored that the workers and civilians have seen several Egida Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar systems near the dig site.

A new nuke, kind of...
Earlier yesterday many of us heard the warning messages from the street speakers in Lapsil. The warnings ended up being for nothing, at least to us. The Dernellian military tested the widely rumored Rods From God System, commonly referred to as RFGS, in some uninhabited land. This entails the systems first actual test, and use. Word from the military is that the test was a success, and the actual effect matched that of the prediction. Apparently the Hammer fell 20^oS70^oW, which the land has now, about a day later, been claimed by the colony of Erzherzogtum Alzen.

Tunnel and highway done, travel opens!
Early this morning the Lapsil-North Alacia highway on the Dernellian side was completed, and an hour later opened for civilian travel. The majority of the highway travels through mountains and is mainly made up of tunnels proving for nearly an hour of just tunnel driving. As mentioned in the previous article about the bridge, there were rumors of Egida CRAMs being seen near the construction site, those rumors were confirmed with the opening of the route. At every entrance and exit there are two CRAMs, one on each side of the road. It seems that another CRAM is placed for every two miles of exposed road after those initial two at the entrance/exit of the tunnel. It is still unkown why the road has so many CRAMs but it is assumed for worries of possible attack on the road.

Rapid Expansion of Lapsil
After seeing the rapid expansion of several other colonies in Craxx, the Dernellain government has raised concerns over eventual expansionary space, and as such has begun to claim land in safekeeping purposes for the future. With it requires more military to protect the space, and as such a massive military deployment to the colony for protection purposes. The reported deployment to the colony is an estimated 400 DMBT-I6 tanks, as well as 150 DRMA-I5, with nearly 20,000 troops along with some APCs. These are being transported by and with some of the navy deploying a reported 15 Excalibur, a gram class, and 2 RO/RO vessels. Canal Plans Approved With International Backing

The citizens of the North Alacian Settlement Zone, who have have been waiting nearly a with bated breath on news of the canal and the future of their new home have finally had their answer. The Canal will be funded, not only by the Federal Republic of Countesia, but also with international assistance from the The United States of the European Federation Reunified. Expecting to foot approximately 40% of the bill, with Countesia providing the rest of the 6.4 billion NSD$ needed to begin construction of the two lane canal to connect Port Alacia to the open sea to the west of the colony.

As North Alacia is already home to several mining and excavation companies, planners have stated there will be no anticipated delay in beginning the construction as a vast majority of the necessary equipment is already present at the colony. At the time of this articles publication, thousands of subcontracted machinery and workers are beginning to start the exodus to the northern extreme of the colony to begin construction.

In a statement by President of Countesia Nathan-Carter Smith, he congratulates the settlers of the young colony.

"It is with great excitement that i can officially say that the Countesian Federal Parliament alongside the Ministry of the Overseas, have approved the 6.4 billion NSD$ budget for the North Alacia Canal Project. We are also proud to announce that esteemed diplomatic partner and fellow Archipelago neighbour, the European Federation, have offered to cover 40% of the costs. We were in no position to refuse such generosity, which Countesia will never forget.

The project will be a colossal undertaking, but with North Alacia being the largest exporter of raw materials to Countesia, the infrastructure and resources to begin construction are already in place, and we have already begun negotiations with several dozen excavation companies make this happen. Now, i like to call that luck. We expect the project, with the sheer manpower we are throwing at it, to take no less than nine months.

Transit times to Port Alacia will be cut down by almost five days. Which may not seem like a lot, but i can assure those skeptical of the project that this will boost the fledgling Alacian economy by almost fifteen billion credits. This will be a great boon for the colony and is expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and attract many of those looking to seek a life away from Mainland Countesia. Needless to say, the future is looking bright."

First Contact with Post apocalayptic Craxx communities start off bloody.

In a recent report by native specialists currently attempting to establish friendly relations with the scattered remnants of the Craxx Empires populace have said first contact was successfull, but a case of "mistaken identity" led to a specialist being shot through the shoulder with an arrow.

After several days of deliberation, it was decided that efforts to establish contact with the locals would be focused towards the less technolically advanced communities. With the response being an unknown variable as some of these settlements have not had contact with the outside world since the Craxx Empire destroyed itself in a nuclear firestorm, the specialists decided that the less dangerous route would be to bring peace offering to the agrarian communites.

Andrew White, a native specialist and expert on Craxx linguistics, culture and history, was the first chosen to approach the first of several dozen communities. Bearing gifts of tropical fruit and medicine, he approached the trail leading into the settlement. Observers immediatelly witnessed several natives flee from the nearby fields Andrew was approaching before he was struck down by an arrow to the shoulder. Before the accompanying soldiers could rush in to rescue Andrew, the specialist himself ordered them to keep their distance. Once again raising to his feet, he began calling out to the unknown assailant in the old language of their empire

Whilst others anticipated another warning shot, a man wearing suprisingly up to date garb appeared from the rows of corn. Still wary of the newcomer, the native reportedly spoke in what Andrew described as a very bastardised and diluted form of Craxx, stating that tribute had already been given. Andrew attempted to converse with the guard, but his Craxx was too different from the Craxx his former attacker spoke. Sensing the situation was tense and the language barrier was infuriating the man, Andrew explained he brought gifts before taking his leave and returning to the safety of his armed guards.

Observers noted that the small offering of pineapples and pomegranites, alongside a small supply of basic medical gear, went untouched by the Guard initially, but eventually returned with three other men to recieve the parcel. After a few minutes of inspection, they took it.

Native specialists have confirmed they will wait a few more days before attempting contact again. Mr White remains in stable condition. As to whomever "tribute has already been given" was referencing too, remains unknown. Theories range from previous North Alacian colonists making unauthorised contact, or that one of the more advanced communities identified by the native specialists is extorting the others for resources.
