So, for some reason, as this somehow managed to end in the news. So because it's a slow news day I guess, let's discuss this:

Woman has the shuts because girls' underwear on a supermarket website accidentally shows a picture of meat, suggesting that she's meat, and takes a year to complain about it

This is bloody ridiculous. Nobody is suggesting that little girls are pieces of meat. It's obviously as mistake. I mean did you honestly expect Woolworths, Australia's largest supermarket, to know about which photo belongs to every single item avaliable on their online store without any mistakes? And why did it take you a year to complain about it? I believe that this is ridiculous. If you ask me, here is how I would summarise it:

I am a frequent customer to 24 hour supermarkets. In my long nocturnal life, I don't know that I've once come across underwear that wasn't designed to be peed in for sale in a supermarket. A Walmart, sure. But that's not what I think of when I think 'supermarket.'

Though strangely now that I think about it, I did actually buy underwear at a gas station on a truck route.

Let's set aside the fact that there are male Karens out there and let's only assume that there are female Karens. It's not true, but let's assume for argument's sake that it is. Karens are usually abnoxious, racist, rude people who think they're better than everyone else. Karens like to harrass low income customer service people or people of other races. Examples of Karens include, but aren't limited to, the woman who tore down her neighbour's Australian Aboriginal flag in Mildura, Australia, the Karen who walked into a hardware shop and harassed a female employee (yes, the victim of the Karen was female) when asked to wear a mask at a time when masks were compulsory, etc. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and I'll continue to criticise people for that kind of deplorable behaviour, and I could give a fuck if someone is stupid enough to think that I'm sexist because of it

We have no Wal-Mart equivalent in Australia. Supermarkets and department stores are separate entities, but most major supermarkets sell small clothing items, such as underwear

On the topic of Karens, I suppose they don't know about these people.

Looking at the topic and the article itself, it reminds me of those days in my school where we did some database-related project. The one where I was doing a book-review website and the pictures fetched also included a photo of a school and someone's face just because. My point is, it does seem like an honest mistake to me, or a screw-up on the supermarket/database's part. I should not be throwing glass stones, I also do get one or two things which would flare me up, but I really do like to think that I am better than this.
