It is a hot day inside the National Parliament of Sapim with the death of King Marcos I Parliament is divided over the next king / queen of Sapim the king years before he died had changed the line of succession in the country's constitution leaving his daughter Primogentia Princess Isabel Maria Anastásia Geneviève of Asturias takes over the Kingdom after her death and has support from the center, right and left parties the other half of parliament the nationalists, far left and right and bourgeois want the Younger Son to Prince Juan Carlos Coronha Raul de Aragon is the rightful heir. Making an unprecedented tension plague Sapim leaving doubts in the air. One of our political experts analyzes the issue within our parliament.

"Our parliament today, assumes a dilemma or we will accept the will of our late king and let his daughter take the throne of his country without disturbing our internal and external politics or risk a regency period for long years with parties considered to be radicals that can affect the Sapim mode in extreme ways. You owe the fact that the split in the parliament shows the opinion of the people on the political acts within the National Assembly leading questions against the Monarchy and being born feelings in favor of the republic the next few days will be very important in Sapim since the Parties that Want the Prince Juan Carlos are in doubt if they really want to continue with the Monarchy, this could provoke a civil war between the monarchy and the republic, so the days ahead will be very important.".

Interim Government announces election

Today, the announcement was made that an election is officially underway. Candidate registration is open for anyone in the country. The candidates so far are: Luke Williams, a young lawyer in the capital, Wilsonville. John Baker, a farmer turned mail clerk turned cab driver turned pizza delivery guy, lives in the small town of Elk Cove. Finally there is Dr. Charles D. Goode, a physician who took an early retirement and moved to Wilsonville, volunteers at a local clinic on some days. More candidates are expected to join the race, but these three are considered the top favorites to win. We will continue to stay on top of developments as they happen.

New 'Public Safety Act' "authoritarian, draconian" - says Labour-Green opposition, Libertarians
Christchurch, Drongonia
April 24, 2021 | Richard Barnett

Critics say the Act would give Police sweeping powers to
reign in future protests if passed. Photo: // OIA Request

Critics from both the left opposition bloc and the Libertarian Party have both spoken out in Parliament this week over the proposal of a new Act, which its author, Deputy Prime Minister Simon Baker says would "ensure public safety is upheld now and for the future". The Bill is currently before Parliament and its name is the "Public Safety Act [bill] 2021".

Proponents of the new law cite recent anti-racism protests as a need for sweeping reforms around Drongonia's rights to freedom of assembly and public protest. Thousands were arrested during the week-long demonstrations and Police in most major cities reported being stretched beyond capacity, in some cases resulting in greatly delayed response times to other callouts. The bill's proponents have been very vocal in citing one such incident which occurred in Nelson, where Police took 32 minutes to respond to a call regarding an armed robbery near the city centre, with Police suggesting this was due to their presence being required at the nearby protests.

Opponents, mostly on the political left, argue that the passage of the law would fundamentally damage Drongonia's otherwise strong record on human rights, with the Bill violating fundamental rights - according to Labour leader Sarah Ellice. "This bill, if passed, would give Police the power to arrest, spy on and take the property of otherwise law-abiding citizens who just so happened to be at a protest exercising their freedoms to speech and public assembly." Green Party leader Dianne Fitzgerald gave a similar outlook during her turn to speak in Parliament, saying "...this Bill is a fascistic attempt to highjack our democracy and steer it away from the values of human rights, equality and freedom which it represents." Libertarian leader Sean Davidson slammed the bill in a similar speech, remarking that "...those members [of Parliament] who seek to push this kind of authoritarian filth don't seem to want to be members of Parliament. They would rather be members of the Reichstag - and that is a very frightening concept indeed."

TVDG can confirm that Ellice's assertions are correct, with the law specifically stating that individuals charged under the Act may be liable to be subject to "warrant-free" search, surveillance, or seizure of property "For any other reason deemed fit by an individual enforcing public safety at a given time." If charged under the Act, individuals would not be exempt from regular due process, however.

Political analysts are divided on whether the Bill will pass its readings in Parliament, with most estimating a 65-55 vote in favour of the Bill, with most of the errant votes likely to come from the "Labour-Right" group of MPs - those who believe in more socially conservative stances, but are more aligned with Labour's economic policies. Labour leader Sarah Ellice confirmed via Peaker that she had "greatly encouraged" her party's members to vote in opposition of the bill. It is expected that the majority of National's MPs will vote in favour the bill, due to it potentially strengthening the current government's grip on power.

Prime Minister English spoke on the bill during his speaking time, calling it "a work in progress" and saying that "...this bill has the potential to ensure that our Police are never stretched beyond capacity again, it has the potential to allow for the widespread defence of public order and decency, and it has the potential to be a very valuable piece of legislation in regards to holding up the very values some of my colleagues say it seeks to destroy. This Act, above all, rightly rubbishes the concepts of mob justice and mob rule."

The current version of the Act is available to view in PDF form here.

Within the survey, comprised of 10,000 registered voters, respondents were asked the following three questions:
  • If an election were held tomorrow, which party would you vote for?
  • Which of the two main party leaders would you prefer to be the Prime Minister of Drongonia?

THE "GENTILE PURGE" ENDS
The wave of arrests wanted by General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova ends with more than 250 arrests across the country. Mainly affected the state administration, public health and the military structure. "Now we need to rebuild" declares the General Secretary

Image
Two soldiers awaiting relocation

The "Gentle Purge" wanted by Comrade General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova to completely eradicate corruption within the Stalliongradian Communist Party and the country's public administration ended yesterday.

Thanks to the investigations opened by the Anti-Corruption Commission, with the help of reports made by citizens, more than 250 arrests have been made among employees of Public Offices, Party officials, Judges of the People's Court, Policestallions and even among the ranks of the Red Army. Ponies who, according to reports, accepted bribes and intimidated the local population with threats of denunciation and death.
Comrade General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova said: "I am satisfied with the incredible work done by the Commission that I myself had set up and thanks also to all the brave comrades who have found the courage to denounce this ignoble injustice that stains the good name of our Soviet Republic and Socialism. Now we need to rebuild the entire structure of Stalliongrad and march together towards a true Communism, without intimidation and inequality between comrades."

But not everyone is celebrating right now. While this move by the Central Government has rid the state of some rotten apples, it has also created gaps in it, forcing some of the local Citizens' Committees to cut back on spending, reducing allocations to schools, hospitals, public transport and courts.
But the hardest blow was given to the army, forcing the Military High Commando of Stalliongrad to halve the unofficial military units, sending some soldiers home.
Sources from the People's Commissariat of Labor have communicated that they are already working to relocate some of the unemployed soldiers to fields and agricultural structures.
Generals of the Red Army and Commanders of the Police forces, led by Comrade People's Commissar of Defense Sinister Serov, spent the whole afternoon yesterday protesting in the offices of the General Secretary. We were not clear on the course of the discussion since no press releases were issued and Comrade People's Commissar of Defense Sinister Serov himself did not want to leave official statements while he was leaving the Palace of the Soviets.

Discontent has also been recorded among the population, worried about the cut in public services, given that many are completely dependent on it.
To reassure the population, Comrade General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova spoke publicly, around 9 pm, calling for socialist unity and solidarity, promising to restore all services as soon as possible, improved by the absence of corrupt elements.

Activists arrested after flying LGBT flags at Parliament
Christchurch, Drongonia
April 27, 2021 | Rachel Day

Five activists were arrested following the flags being raised on Parliament grounds.

Five activists were arrested at Parliament today on charges of breaching the peace and charges under the Parliament Act 1963 after flying LGBT+ flags outside of the Parliament's main buildings. Flags flown were the bisexual pride flag, the intersex pride flag, the rainbow pride flag, and the transgender pride flag.

Eleven activists, reportedly belonging to the Drongonian LGBT Activism Network, arrived at Parliament and erected four flags at approximately 10:30am, witnesses say. The activists then took photos with the flags and were quickly approached by Police patrolling the area. It is not believed that members of the public informed the Police of the goings on, rather that Police were patrolling the area and investigated of their own volition.

According to witnesses, Police talked with the group for a short time before attempting to move them on and take the flags down, which the group had replaced the ceremonial Drongonian flags with. Accounts vary, but Police say that some of the activists intervened and prevented the attending officers from removing the flags, and were promptly arrested as a result.

On Peaker, the Drongonian LGBT Activism Network described the arrests as "fascist attempts to silence LGBT voices" and lambasted the law the activists are being charged under, calling it "archaic". According to the Parliament Act 1963, it is illegal for any flags other than the current or previous Drongonian flag to be flown on Parliament grounds without express approval from the Prime Minister.

The five activists who were arrested could face a maximum of three months' jail time and a $25,000 fine if found guilty on charges of Breaching the Peace and infringing on the Parliament Act 1963.

Several Labour MPs were seen applauding the group, but none were directly available when asked for comment. It is understood that People's Front MP for Swinton, Nathaniel Reid, can be heard laughing at activists and using a homophobic slur as they were escorted away by Police. Mr. Reid declined to comment.

Largest Military Exercise in North of Langenia since Civil War

ARAGON-Today the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Catholic Republic of Langenia announced that Langenia would begin a joint military exercise in the north of the country. Though the office has not disclosed how many military personnel are participating in the exercise, Western analysts, particularly in the North American Commonwealth, believe that the number is close to a whopping 100,000, making this the largest military exercise on Langenian soil since the Langenian Civil War (1919-1949).

The objective of the exercise was to encourage increased interoperability among the service branches of the Langenian Armed Forces, including the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines, as well as to train large-scale formations of Langenian military personnel and equipment to operate in the dense jungles and forests that make up Colombia and Venezuela, which in turn make up the majority of what is considered northern Langenia. Soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines have begun massing in the north, being billeted across cities and bases in Colombia and Venezuela. Troops have been placed along the border with Panama and the Caribbean coast as well. Though the Defense Ministry has not said why they are there, it can be assumed they provide a deterrent against North American aggression amid that country's aggressive forays into Latin America.

Quantities of military hardware, from artillery pieces to unarmored and armored vehicles to warplanes to warships are being placed in the north. The General Staff, Defense Ministry, and Foreign Ministry have all denied allegations that Langenia is on a war footing. The office of our esteemed president has not yet issued any statements. Central Command has been tasked with coordinating the exercise due to the fact that it is the unified command responsible for the defense of the Langenian homeland. The command is subordinate to the Ministry of National Defense.

Image

Notable units participating include paratroopers from the Airborne Troops of the National Army of Langenia, bomber squadrons of BA-70, BA-85, and BA-15 strategic bombers of the Langenian Air Force, and flotillas from the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets of the Langenian National Navy. Furthermore, special forces from the Army, Air Force, and Navy were due to conduct unconventional warfare drills in the jungles and forests of the Amazon and Venezuela.

The exercise comes as the meeting of the Organization of American States is taking place in Mexico City, and Langenian president Nicolas Furia and North American prime minister Felicity Graves are scheduled to hold a summit in the city next week. Troops from Bolivia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Cuba, all Latin American nations close to Langenia, are sending military personnel to participate. It is possible, though not yet confirmed, that Piikalan ships might participate alongside the Pacific Fleet of the Langenian National Navy. In order to alleviate fears and suspicion observers have been invited from the North American Commonwealth, according to the Defense Ministry. As of the time this article was written, the North Americans had not yet responded.

GST to be raised from 12.5% to 15% between now and 2025
Christchurch, Drongonia
May 1, 2021 | Logan Clarkson

The tax will be raised gradually. Photo: // Stock Image

Government Sales Tax, better known as GST, is set to change over the next five years, with the tax set to increase from the current rate of 12.5% to 15% by 2025.

The amendment to the Government Sales Tax Act 1985 passed in Parliament 71-49, with resistance mostly being shown from the fiscally conservative wing of the National Party, as well as the Libertarians and more moderate Labour MPs. Every party leader apart from Sean Davidson, leader of the Libertarian Party, voted in favour of the amendment.

Government Sales Tax, better known as GST, was introduced in 1985 as a way for the government to passively gather revenue without resorting to a formerly unpopular income tax increase, or the introduction of gift, inheritance or capital gains taxes - which are still not in place for the most part. GST originally sat at 5%, but was raised to 7.5% in 1993 and then to 10% in 1999 by the Nolan-led Labour government, before being raised again to 12.5% by the Jacobson-led Labour government in 2013. This is the first time GST has been adjusted by a National-led government, as a Bill introduced in 2004 to reduce the tax to 5% was voted down in Parliament.

The tax will increase to 13% with immediate effect on June 1 2021, with increases of 0.5% yearly until June 1 2025, when the rate will reach 15% and stop increasing. The Act forbids further increases of the tax until at least January 1 2030.

The authors of the amendment, National's Eric King and Labour's Rebecca Brown, released a joint statement today expressing their appreciation at the passing of the amendment, saying "...this cross-bench effort to bring about fair and sustainable change to the tax system will ultimately help voters, by rejecting higher income taxes. We're also allowing businesses time to adjust, rather than burdening them with a sudden 2.5% increase as has been the case with previous changes."

Amendments exempting fresh foods and feminine hygiene products from GST were voted down in Parliament 50-70 and 55-65 respectively. It has been estimated by the Ministry of Finance that the tax increase will have raised an additional $105.5bn by the year 2030. The change brings Drongonia into line with New Zealand, which has a GST rate of 15%, and widens the gap with Australia, which has a GST rate of 10%.

The changes are available to view in-depth on the Ministry of Finance website.

People's Front MP officially censured for calling New Zealand "a joke country" in Parliament
Christchurch, Drongonia
May 2, 2021 | Richard Barnett

The MP has been warned for making flippant and
offensive comments in the past. Photo: // TVDG

Image

Controversial People's Front MP Nathaniel Reid has been officially censured by the Speaker of the House for comments made about New Zealand, during a Parliamentary discussion on international defence affairs.

Reid made the comment after the discussion turned to allied nations which Drongonian military intelligence and assets are shared with. When New Zealand was mentioned by the Minister of Defence, Scott Morris, Reid used his Parliamentary privilege to interject and began a tirade against our closest neighbour, calling their defence force "pathetic" and calling "...New Zealand, in terms of defence, a joke country - quite frankly."

Reid's remarks continued, with the MP taking aim at New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in particular, calling Ardern "weak-willed, sheepish and an absolute pushover on the world stage." He later called Ms. Ardern a "Chinese communist stooge" before ending his turn to speak.

Speaker of the House, National's Eric Black, immediately ended the discussion period, turning his attention to Reid. Black demanded Reid recant his statements regarding New Zealand's government and Prime Minister, to which Reid refused. Black then handed a censure down to Reid, forcing Reid to leave the chamber. A Parliamentary censure entails the immediate removal of the Member from Parliament's proceedings, with the member being stood down for a maximum period of fourteen days without pay and being forced to apologise to Parliament for the offending remarks.

Black told Parliament that "There is absolutely no justification for the behaviour of the Member for Swinton, and as a result he will be handed the first censure since 2021. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I've ever had to hand a censure down, indicating just how ridiculous and out of order the Member for Swinton's behaviour is."

Nathaniel Reid took to Peaker to vent his frustration, saying in a post that "I was exercising my rights to free speech and Parliamentary Privilege, only to be punished by a ruling that slaps democratic values in the face. I stick with my statement - NZDF is a JOKE!"

Reid is permitted to return to Parliament on May 7, where he must apologise to Parliament. However, Reid's office indicated to TVDG that he does not intend to apologise and instead intends to appeal the censure - a process which is accounted for within Parliamentary procedure, but has never been undertaken.

Nathaniel Reid was unavailable for direct comment.

Ministry of Transport confirms it won't remove "offensive" number plate prefix 'NGR' from circulation
Christchurch, Drongonia

Number plate prefixes that cause offence won’t be banned, but the Ministry of Transport says that any offending plates will be changed for free should a car owner request it, according to a statement from Ministry Spokesman Greg Turner today.

Nelson man Mthuthuzeli Thom complained to the Ministry of Transport last month after his local Toyota dealer sold him a brand new RAV4 with the number plate NGR1323. Thom initially complained to the dealership, who told him that due to import legislation he would need to seek out and pay for a change in registration from Land Transport Drongonia. Thom objected, as the cost to change a vehicle's existing registration is $1,075, and was told he'd need to take his complaint to the Ministry of Transport as they deal with the legislation and procedures Land Transport Drongonia operate by.

Thom, who is of Black South African descent, started a petition demanding the banning of NGR and other 'offensive prefixes' which gained 65,000 signatures, but was dismissed by both Parliament and the Ministry of Transport this week, with the Ministry's response citing the "expensive and frankly unnecessary procedural and legislative changes which would be required to undertake such an endeavor, including the revocation of plates from existing vehicle owners."

Currently, Land Transport Drongonia uses all three-letter combinations as prefixes for new number plates, with the exceptions of V, I and O, due to potential difficulties for law enforcement and other officials when processing the vehicle's registration details. Controversial prefixes such as JEW, FAG, JAP, SEX, GAY, and ABO are currently in use, with 666, 1488, 6969 and 420 being permitted as suffixes. Internationally, the nation of Nacrad intends to begin issuing the controversial "FAG" prefix within the State of Formosa, with F signifying Formosa, A standing for the province of Taipei, and G potentially being issued as part of its psuedo-random plate sequence.

Officials have strayed away from choosing to use four-character prefixes, mostly over fears surrounding the policing of inappropriate words which would arise from doing so. In 1971, the Ministry of Transport introduced the current "Series Three" three-letter, four-number plates which are currently in use and have approximately 175.5 million possible combinations.

Personalised plate requests are more closely governed by Land Transport Drongonia, with all requests abiding by rules regarding the use of potentially offensive plates. Plate requets such as ARYAN14, H8JEWS, BLKPWR, CH1NK1E and IH8KATE have been denied over the years.

FoDOT Embroiled in Controversy Over "Potentially Offensive" Number Plate Prefix "FAG"
3 May 2021 | Christina Cheng

TAIPEI, Formosa -- Following the recent re-rolling of possible letter prefixes, the Formosan Department of Transport was embroiled in controversy over the decision to allow the three-letter prefix "FAG" to take the place of the depleted "FAB" prefix as one of the 5 permitted prefixes, namely "FAM", "FAL", "FAV", "FAE" and the newly-added "FAG".

This complaint was raised by a Taipei man, Karson Lim, 2 days after FoDOT made public the new prefix combinations, and started a petition demanding that FoDOT, as with other states, to withdraw the prefixes he deemed to be "potentially offensive", such as the possible future prefixes of "FAP", "FAT" and "FAG" in his own state, and the potential "KKK" to be offered in Kongsi. The petition received 100,000 signatures, but FoDOT remained firm in their stance to continue offering this letter prefix. "We allow aspiring car-owners to choose, among available combinations, a number they so wish to use," says Jason Kim, the Formosan Minister of Transport.

Currently, all states and territories use the format of SZZ-NNNNN or SZZ-ZNNNN, where S is the state code, Z is any letter apart from I and O due to difficulty of reading such number, and N as any number. The first format offers 57.8 million total combinations per state, which was deemed to have little chance to run out. In Formosa, which has the state code of F, the state has allocated the first letter to signify the province of issue which in this case is Taipei, signified with A. A state like Athery, meanwhile, do not encode the province of issue.

A similar problem with potentially offensive registration number prefixes was also faced recently by Drongonia, who had permitted a number plate prefix "NGR" to be issued, who rectified this problem by allowing a free change of registration number.

Despite the refusal of FoDOT to revoke the controversial prefix, it has further added that vanity plates, pursuant to the federal Automobile Registration Act, may not contain "offensive, racist or otherwise distasteful" messages, such as the most recent request, FUCKL1BZ, which would be promptly denied as has been over the years. It also pledged to always reserve 3 of the 5 offered prefixes to be struck down if it is petitioned to do so.

Prime Minister Johnson Announces Will to NOT run for Re-election in 2024

Walter Jordan | 3 May 2021 6:00 PM PST

  • Prime Minister's decision is "final" and "will not change"
  • Carl Miller, PM's prodigy, expected to run in BJ's place for GUC's "Corporate Wing"
  • Emperor welcomes Johnson's testament, thanking him in advance for his services
  • Opposition "taking advantage" of power gap to be present in 2024
  • Hardline GUC supporters condemns announcement; declaring Boris is "acting in cowardice"

Image
Boris Johnson has been Prime Minister for 3 consecutive terms since being re-elected in 2020. His announcement is expected to significantly affect the Union of Capitalists' "power monopoly" in the Imperial Government. Some even predict that the GUC would lose it's grip to either a Government or Opposition party.

DISTRICT OF VARYAG | Boris Samuel Johnson has been a national icon since first emerging on the Goldmanian political scene since being first elected as Prime Minister back in 2012. He has also been recognized as the face of the Union of Capitalists and of capitalism itself in the Empire. However, tonight sent shockwaves around the nation: in a Twitter post which consists of a video, "PM BJ" announced that he will not run for his office again in the 2024 National Elections. It was met with mixed reactions from the Imperial Government and the general populace. Reportedly, some of his more hardline supporters were enraged and took it upon themselves to call out the Prime Minister on the World Wide Web. Some of these posts, due to their extreme attacks against the PM, were taken down by their respective media platforms like Facebook and Twitter under the guise of the Imperial Government to "protect the Minister's dignity" and to "ensure a hate free media in New Goldman."

According to the Prime Minister's announcement video, the reason for such a decision was that he had "served his course and therefore doesn't see re-election as necessary". He also stated that; "The Imperial Government needs new leadership if it wants to continue to be viable for the people." Pundits had clashed over the reliability of this reason, but one thing's for certain: there is no changing the PM's mindset as he sets for retirement 3 years from now. Actual solid reasons are still yet to be published by either the Prime Minister or his family, but from his stance in his video, his decision looked firm and serious. Johnson's wife, Martha, has also posted on a Twitter post afterwards confirming that the Minister will retire after 3 consecutive terms in the second highest office in the nation next only to the Emperor himself.

This sudden announcement sent ripples throughout the continuous politics of the Empire. It would especially impact his own party, the Goldman Union of Capitalists. The GUC would be forced to look for someone else to lead the organization in Johnson's sake, a politician who would willingly continue what BJ had began. BJ himself had endorsed his prodigy, Carl Miller, to be his official successor as leader of the Corporate Wing of the GUC, but not all members of the party are convinced, stating that Miller wasn't experienced enough to take over his boss's place. Many of the GUC's factions, especially the "Welfare Wing", wholeheartedly agrees, and Welfare leader Michael Wilson stated that "he will not allow an inexperienced man to replace the popular Prime Minister". In a follow up tweet however about an hour after the announcement, our beloved PM defended his comrade and placed his undying faith behind him. Miller himself is yet to state his opinions on these developments.

Opposition Parties were also bewildered, but unlike the GUC and the other Government Parties, the Opposition looks to be taking advantage of this chain reaction. Depending on how Johnson handles his last term as Prime Minister with issues such as the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic and the ever rising tensions between the Western Alliance and China, the Union of Capitalists could and can be dethroned through democratic means in 2024. For now, however, it is up to the public to decide the outcome of this sudden decision by Boris Johnson.

Boris plans to state his reasons online this incoming Saturday live on social media platforms such as Twitter and his official YouTube channel.

Speeding fines, demerit points given to motorists to increase from June 1

Land Transport Drongonia announced today that the fines and demerit points dished out to motorists breaking the speed limit will be increased from June 1 this year, along with other changes in how the fines will be enforced by Police and paid for by motorists.

Land Transport Drongonia works with the Drongonian Police to set the penalties and decide enforcement protocols, with spokesman Julie Rice saying that "...the updated enforcement structure will hopefully aid us in curbing a recent rise in speeding infringements, as well as bring Drongonia more into line with our neighbours."

Rice is referring to new statistics published by Police, showing that the amount of speeding infringements issued on Drongonian roads has increased more than 20% in 2020 compared with 2019, with Police noticing an uptick particularly in low-threshhold speeding, where motorists break the speed limit by 15km/h or less. Police spokesman Aaron Patterson said this is more than likely "...down to drivers becoming complacent as they make their way around the suburbs, specifically in areas near where they live and work."

Police say nearly 19 million speeding-related infringements were issued from January 1 to December 31 2020, up from 15.8 million infringements throughout the same period in 2019. The infringements have cost Drongonians $1.45 billion during 2020 alone, with average speeding infringement costing approximately $76 per person. Police also noted that along with speeding infringements, a 5% increase in alcohol-related infringements and a 7.3% increase in distraction-related infringements were seen during 2020.

Increases in the infringement amounts will bring Drongonia more into line with New Zealand's structure, but will do little to catch Drongonia up with certain other nations, and states in Australia. For example, in the State of New Queensland, being caught travelling 20km/h over the speed limit will cost a motorist $444AUD and 4 demerit points (of 10). In Cancolastan, the exact amount varies but would be between $250 - $300 CED and 3 demerit points lost (of 10). In Great Pacific Switzerland, the infringement is similar. In New Zealand, the fine is a more modest $120NZD and 35 demerits lost (of 100). In Drongonia, the same offence would currently only carry an $80DGD penalty and 15 demerit points lost of 100. After the restructure, this would increase to a $120 fine and 20 demerits lost of 100.

Road safety campaigners say that even with the increase in speeding infringement fees, Drongonia's lax penalty system leaves room for drivers to flout the law with no real deterrent. However, data released by Police suggests there has been no appreciable increase in road deaths due to excessive speed over the past five years, indicating that the infringements are targeted more at those breaking existing laws, rather than those causing harm to others.

Along with the changes to the infringement structure, Police will also adopt a new system when it comes to issuing roadside infringements. Currently, motorists are issued with a paper ticket and must either call Land Transport Drongonia and pay over the phone, or log on to the Land Transport Drongonia website with the details printed on the ticket to pay or otherwise manage the fine. From June 1, officers will no longer issue paper tickets unless specifically requested by motorists. The LTDG pay-by-phone service will also be automated. Motorists will be sent a letter in the mail with both infringement and payment details, and then will have to log on online using the current LTDG system to pay or contest the infringement.

Other changes include the demerit points window being shortened, with demerit points now expiring one year after being issued, rather than the current two years which has been in place since 2003. Within the demerit point system will be the introduction of permanent demerits, issued for offences classed by Police and LTDG as "Category One Traffic Safety Infringements". Any permanent demerits issued will stay on a motorist's licence forever. Long-term demerits are also being trialled, which stay on a motorist's licence for a minimum of five years and a maximum of fifteen.

"Category One Traffic Safety Infringements" are classed by LTDG as "any offence or group of offences in which a motorist incurs a loss of licence exceeding twelve months." LTDG says a maximum of 80 permanent or long-term demerits will be able to be placed on a motorist's licence at any one time, and after five years of no new demerits, motorists will be able to apply to have them removed.

Hardline Communist "Goldmanian Liberation Army" attacks despite
Covid-19 Pandemic

Marcus James | 5 May 2021 5:00 AM PST

  • 14 civilians killed by Communists, states military officials
  • Army to follow Covid-19 protocols "as much as the rules of war allows it"
  • Communist Party of New Goldman denies involvement in surprise attack
  • Emperor vows to "exterminate threat for the safety of the people"
  • Johnson attacks GLA leaders, stating "they have no shame" for Pandemic and its victims

Image
A Goldmanian soldier along with his comrades during an operation against Communist hideouts in the rural areas of mountainous New Goldman. Due to the risk of civilian casualties, the Air Force was limited to only transportation and artillery was utilized only in precarious moments. Due to the Pandemic, the Armed Forces only deployed a "smaller than normal" contingent to combat the threat.

DISTRICT OF VARYAG | The Covid-19 Pandemic has been problematic for the Imperial Government, as it has been forced to take it's daily functions to the internet and to limit contact between it's government officials. Another problem facing Boris Johnson's fourth and final term as Prime Minister is the ongoing sporadic Communist insurgency in the mountain parts of the nation. This early morning at 5:00 AM, despite the risks of the virus, rebel members of the hardliner "Goldmanian Liberation Army" attacked and ransacked a small villlage in the mountain areas of Montana, taking the state government completely by surprise.

A state of emergency has been raised in Montana for the next week to give the military time to clear the mountains. Several communities were reported to have been evacuated in the aftermath of the attack. As of this hour, military forces are still present in the state sweeping every county of possible resistance hiding amongst the population. 14 civilians have been counted by the Army as dead in the fallout of the event, with at least a dozen or so wounded in addition. Martial law is yet to be announced, but Emperor Norton himself stated on Twitter that they are not ruling out the possibility, and at least plans for the military administration to last for 3 months maximum.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated only about an hour ago that the military has control of the situation and that the public should not be distressed and panic. The Armed Forces were called into the action around 6 minutes after the attack started, with the local military garrison of Washburn County, Montana, responding to the calls by the Washburn County Police headed by Chief County Inspector Robert Wilkins. How large the rebel force was is yet to be published by the Goldmanian Armed Forces, although General Maurice Adams gave an estimate of at least 50-200 communist fighters. The PM went on the condemn the rebels for their "shameless" attack on the population in the time of the pandemic.

Chief of Staff William Salem reassured the public on the Armed Forces' official YouTube channel that there was nothing to fear and that the Imperial Government has the situation under control. The military's progress however, as he said during the live press conference, will be limited to only about 1,000 soldiers in response to the rebel attack due to the Covid Pandemic, and the Army's wishes to preserve the health and well being of the troops in this desperate time. The Army also promised to follow the protocols "as long as the rules of war allows it". The Washburn County Police offered it's services to the Army in combating the rebels, which the GAF graciously accepted. Military presence will remain for the remainder of this incoming week until a decision on the part of the Joint Chiefs and the Imperial Palace whether to declare martial law in the affected counties or not.

Several anti communist organizations, both in government or by partisan, threw their blame on the Communist Party of New Goldman, whom for a long time was believed to be supporting not only this Goldmanian Liberation Army but also several socialist anti government groups and terrorist partisans such as the People's Freedom Front and the Worker's Army for Socialism, which are notorious for launching terror attacks against the population for at least this past decade or two. The CPNG however denied any involvement, and went so far as to condemn the GLA for their violent solutions to install socialism. Many National Socialists and ultranationalists however were not convinced. Leader of the National Socialist Party Adolf Brunswick claimed that the CPNG was importing weapons from China and other anti Western nations to fund and arm these rebel groups.

As for the decision of martial law, Chief of Staff Salem is to announce it live by May 12, where the military occupation is expected to temporarily end. The Imperial Palace advised the population to prepare for anything, as more attacks were expected by the Armed Forces. Relief organizations meanwhile were permitted to give out goods to the affected counties just in case martial law is declared.

Police deny wrongdoing after violent arrest video circulates online
Christchurch, Drongonia
May 5, 2021 | Richard Barnett

Police say the clip doesn't tell the full story. Photo: // Peaker
Image

Police have spoken out after video of a violent arrest circulated on social media, with some comparing police actions to cases of brutality overseas. The video was originally uploaded last week, but gained traction on social media, particularly Peaker, after being posted by prominent anti-racist advocate, and lead spokesperson of anti-racist watchdog HOPE Not Hate Drongonia, Lucy Goldstein.

An edited version of an incident that occurred on Parliament Way in central Christchurch last month has been shared widely on social media, showing two officers arresting a man. The edited clip shows him kicking out at two standing officers while he lies on the ground, before a male officer brings his foot down hard on the man's face, with the impact audible on the video. Officers then sit the man up to arrest him as his head hangs limply; he does not resist any further.

Critics online said the video was proof the police were not adequately trained and used hashtags such as #policebrutality and #GeorgeFloyd. Tensions on social media were further inflamed when it was discovered that the man being arrested in the video is of Iranian descent, having moved to Drongonia in 2014 with his family to open a Middle Eastern restaurant.

The man shown being arrested in the video, Kamran Farahmand, was interviewed by National Radio this morning and told NR's Peter Hastings that he "did nothing wrong" and that he was "violently arrested just for being a minority, not for committing a crime". In response to enquiries from the TVDG, police said incidents like this that were shared without context often did not tell the full story.

Superintendent Lane Todd, Canterbury Metro Area Commander, said that police were called on two separate occasions within a short period of time to a Madras St address on Parliament Way, following reports of an aggressive and intoxicated man. "The man was arrested by police and placed in handcuffs. He began to actively resist the attending officers and was taken to the ground in an attempt to keep everyone involved safe, Todd said. Police then tried to assist the man to his feet, and he has allegedly kicked an officer in the head. The second officer attempted to control the man but was also allegedly kicked in the head by him. Both police officers were later assessed by a doctor for minor head injuries and are being supported by police. Following this, one officer attempted to place the sole of his foot on the man's shoulder however the man has moved, causing the officer's foot to connect with his head once. It is important to note that short videos of police incidents often exclude relevant context. This particular video is a small excerpt from a fast-moving and dynamic situation."

It has also been revealed that Mr. Farahmand was being arrested for disorderly behaviour, after members of the public allegedly complained that he was acting in an "inappropriate and aggressive manner" towards them. Farahmand denied this during his National Radio interview, and called those who reported him "racist", alleging that he was only reported to police because of his skin colour.

Police declined to give further details regarding the details of Farahmand's case or its current status, due to it being subject to an ongoing investigation. Police also declined to reveal the identities of the arresting officers or confirm exactly when during the day the event took place, citing safety and operational reasons.

Deputy PM Baker: Ethnonationalism is rising in Drongonia, "and it's glorious"
Christchurch, Drongonia
May 8, 2021 | Emily Trotter

this week. Photo: // Peaker / @PF_Drongonia

Deputy Prime Minister Simon Baker took to the road throughout the week to engage supporters of his controversial People's Front party, which has been labeled by some as racist, far-right, neo-fascist and White supermacist. Baker held several roadshows and pop-up rallies, specifically on English Island, as all of People's Front's seats are located within its borders.

Baker became Deputy Prime Minister following last year's election, where People's Front decimated the traditional support base of the Conservative party, sending them out of Parliament and effectively splitting their eight seats between National and People's Front. The party currently holds four seats in Parliament, which remain crucial to the majority of the National-led government. Critics suggest that Baker is being given free reign by Prime Minister English due to fears of a People's Front defection creating a minority government and potentially forcing an election.

Baker's latest controversy comes following a speech he gave at a rally in Port English on Thursday, where he acknowledged the widespread condemnation his party has received from the media, particular outlets with a left-leaning bias. "I understand that the media calls us racist, White nationalists, fascists and all that..." after a long pause and nodding, he continued with a quip, not seeming to argue with the labels, "...so the weather's been great lately, right?"

The speech then continued, discussing more wide-reaching societal issues. "I can see something on the horizon. Ethnonationalism is rising in Drongonia... it really is, and it's glorious - seriously glorious folks. Show me another White country where people are allowed to express these views and actually get somewhere politically? That's part of what makes Drongonia so amazing, we're winning here. The masses just don't know it yet." Baker continued to thunderous applause, expressing his belief that "Drongonia exists in its current form as the best country in the world, only because of European excellence."

Recent TVDG polling suggests, however, that People's Front may not be gaining many supporters, with National seemingly tightening its grip on Drongonia's right-wing political base. Latest polling data showed that People's Front had 2.9% of the public's support, mirroring its 2.87% result in the last election. Due to the downfall of the Libertarian and Conservative parties, the polling also suggests that if an election were to be held tomorrow, People's Front would not be required to form a Government, with a National-Libertarian government being able to secure an estimated 63 seats, enough to form a majority.

It seems unlikely that People's Front is going anywhere soon, however. Mini-polls conducted in each of the electorates they won in 2020 suggest that their majority has increased within each of them, likely securing them greater reach in 2024.

CLASHES IN STALLIONGRAD!
Unauthorized protests in the capital by militarist and nationalist groups and associations. Clashes with the police and vandalism. NIPO investigates.

Image
View of the riots in the city
Day of clashes yesterday in Stalliongrad. Around 9 am on April, 09 1009 ALB various groups of citizens gathered in the main squares of the capital, starting to protest loudly and blocking traffic. The demonstrators then began to issue insults against the government and especially against General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova. Some even started burning previously prepared effigies of the General Secretary and to smear the buildings with graffiti that are not very flattering towards her.

From what we have been able to guess, the reason for the protest is due to the cuts in military spending and the wave of arrests that halved the forces of the army and police following several cases of corruption.
But, according to the protesters, the arrests that have taken place are nothing more than an attempt by General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova to free herself from those she does not like and the cuts to the army are an attempt to sell Stalliongrad to foreign powers such as Griffonian Empire, to the Changelings Lands or to Equestria.
In fact, they later identified themselves as The Protectors of the Revolution and the Red Patriots, two militirist and nationalist groups, known to be averse to the policies they considered too "weak" and revisionist of the government. And that day they would continue to protest until "Comrade Prostitute Altidiya Revoltsova leaves the Palace of Soviets".

The police showed up an hour after the turmoil began. This delay, as the Chief of Police Ivan Dubinkav will later declare, was due to the still lack of reorganization of the police forces after the cuts that took place.
To try to restore public order as quickly as possible, the police started throwing teargas to disperse the crowd but only provoked the reaction of the rioters who started throwing stones and driving some public cars.

The confrontation was inevitable, bringing urban violence to Stalliongrad not seen since the December Revolution. After nearly five hours of urban warfare, the police managed to disperse the demonstrators, ending the day with 120 arrests and 57 injured among rioters and policestallions.

Reached by the journalists' questions, Comrade General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova declared that she disapproved of the violence shown today, regretting the hatred shown by some of her comrades, but this does not mean that she will take away the right to protest from the rest of the citizens, an essential tool that the People of Stalliongrad to warn their leaders when something is wrong. But it is clear that this must be done according to very specific rules.

Meanwhile, the People's Commissioner of Internal Affairs Heavy Storm also announced that it has already put NIPO agents plus the local police to work to track down and file other possible dangers to public safety.

Bomb explodes at airport on Inauguration Day

Postby Caliland » Mon May 10, 2021 6:53 am

On Friday, half an hour after John Baker was inaugurated, a bomb exploded at Wilsonville International Airport. The president was safe at the time of the blast. Five people were injured, however according to doctors at Wilsonville General Hospital, their injuries are non-life-threatening. President Baker addressed the nation Friday night, promising that whoever was responsible for this would be brought to justice. The government has created a task force to investigate. As of today, they are yet to release any information. The area of the airport where the bomb exploded is still closed off.

Parliament votes against joining NZ PM Ardern's "Christchurch Call"
Christchurch, Drongonia

Parliament voted against drafting, ratifying or implementing legislation of any kind to make a formal commitment to join New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's "Christchurch call" to eliminate extremist speech online. The vote comes following the United States' decision to formally join the call, with the election of President Joe Biden resulting in both a marked foreign and domestic policy shift.

Parliament heard the matter during a discussion on LGBTQ+ and ethnic minority matters, chaired by members of the Labour Party. Parliament voted against joining the Christchurch call 70-50, with the National, People's Front and Libertarian parties voting as a bloc to prevent the resolution passing. Certain Labour MPs also voted against the move, citing the potential implications on freedom of speech, should the government coerce tech companies to more closely police people's online opinions.

Prime Minister English spoke briefly during the Parliamentary discussion, with his remarks agreeing with the idea behind the call, but broadly rejecting its premise: "while the rising threat of online hate is a valid and concerning trend, the answer is not an authoritarian purge of Nationalist opinions. Those on the left pushing these laws need to realise that if radical Nationalists ever took power, these hate speech laws wouldn't be removed, they'd just be used to suppress the left in much the same way the right is suppressed in many Western countries at the moment."

Critics, mainly from the left, have questioned the government's commitment to fighting hate speech online, with many making the accusation that the government simply doesn't care. During the government's first term from 2016 - 2020, no legislation regarding the policing of or punishment for hate speech was passed.

Prime Minister English and senior members of his cabinet are notorious for holding socially conservative views, particularly around the issues of LGBTQ+ and ethnic minority treatment and cohesion. Recently, Deputy Prime Minister Simon Baker was quoted as saying "Ethnonationalism is rising in Drongonia... it really is, and it's glorious" during a rally with People's Front supporters in Port English. Prime Minister English was also a vocal opponent of same-sex marriage legislation when it was introduced in 2012, and led the "no" campaign. Minister of Defence Scott Morris was recently accused of making racist remarks towards a Chinese driver in traffic in Christchurch.

Head of Facebook's Drongonian operations, Alex Kaufman, said in a statement today that "both myself and Facebook are deeply concerned that the Drongonian government still refuses to take action against hate speech, which serves to tear our communities apart with hate and division. Facebook is committed to removing this speech from its platform, regardless of the government's lack of action."

Drongonian-owned social network Peaker released a statement via their official @Peaker account, expressing support for the decision, citing the importance of protecting free speech and the right to open political discourse online.

Martial Law declared in 5 Montana counties

Tim Pierson | 13 May 2021 5:30 AM PST

  • Military administration to last 5 months, says Prime Minister
  • Evacuation of civilians in case of further attacks in consideration
  • Communist Party banned from running in 2024, decrees National Assembly
  • Emperor Norton to make another online live press conference on the matter this Friday
  • Destruction of GLA "is of utmost importance", states General Adams

DISTRICT OF VARYAG | The attack on 5 separate Montana counties last week perpetrated by the Communist terrorist organization, the Goldmanian Liberation Army, has forced the National Assembly to take action to prevent further incident. In the press conference earlier today, the Emperor has announced that the decision to impose martial law on the affected counties has been finalized and is set to be implemented later 12 AM tonight.

This means that the Goldmanian Armed Forces will take direct administration of these counties until the rebel threat can be ruled out, although the Montana State Government is to continue their authority outside these counties. The military occupation of these areas is to last 5 months, as according to the Prime Minister in a follow-up Twitter post. Military forces however will remain active and on high alert in neighbouring counties and states in case the GLA and other organizations expands their activities.

Imperial Decree No. 130, or the "Military Administration Authorization Act", the decree that authorizes the implementation of martial law, was approved by the National Assembly yesterday after a heated discussion in the chambers, with a final vote of 153 in favor to 42 against the proposal.

As a precaution to prevent terrorist attacks in the next National Elections, the Assembly also voted to ban the Communist Party of New Goldman from running in the 2024 Elections, which was met by a walkout of communist members of the legislature shortly after. The CPNG leadership, through their various online platforms, protested this decision, once again stating that they have nothing to do with these socialist terrorists and that it was "an attack on political freedom". The 14 Senate seats and 27 Council seats of the CPNG will be marked as vacant for the time being.

This marks the first time the Communist Party was banned from running in the elections since 1930 in the midst of the Red Scare, and the first time it was prohibited from running since they were unbanned by Emperor Norton II in 1979.

The details about the military occupation and the temporary banning of the Communist Party are set to be discussed personally by the Emperor in another press conference to be held this Friday online, to be streamed by various social media platforms such as YouTube.

General Maurice Adams was appointed to be the military governor of the 5 counties. In a Twitter post, he promises to protect the population in this dire time. He also said that "the destruction of the GLA is of utmost importance to the safety of the Goldmanian population".

The General also said that the military has given the green light for relief organizations such as the Red Cross to send supplies and aid to the people in the counties, as leaving and entering the area will be prohibited unless authorized.

The city of Harrington, the capital of Washburn County, is slated to become the headquarters of the military occupation, despite several terrorist bands attacking Marine Corps security forces yesterday afternoon.

The Prime Minister also stated that just in case the GLA further intensifies their efforts, either by wide scale terrorist attacks or full on assaults against security forces, the evacuation of civilians from the area would become an option. The Department of National Defense is said to be considering this option when the situation calls for it.

Amid rising tensions, Drongonia officially recognises Palestine as a state
Christchurch, Drongonia

Amid tensions in the Israeli-Palestine conflict, Drongonia's Parliament passed a resolution to officially recognise the State of Palestine as a legitimate country, going against the grain of most other Western countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Drongonia joins Cancolastan and Norcott as the third country within the Anglospheric Empire to recognise the disputed territory.

Parliament heard the matter during a discussion on international and defence affairs, chaired by the Minister of Defence, Scott Morris. Parliament voted for the resolution unanimously, with the resolution passing 120-0. No formal objections were raised in relation to the resolution, with the leaders of all five Parliamentary parties agreeing on its passage.

None of the members of Parliament chose to make use of their speaking opportunities during the discussion of the resolution, with all 120 members instead choosing to move straight to the voting process. The voting and subsequent count took just three minutes and was recorded as one of the most rapid in Parliament's history. The resolution came into immediate effect with the adjournment of Parliament.

The resolution officially recognises the President of Palestine and the Palestinian National Council as the legitimate governing bodies of Palestine, and officially notes that Drongonia recognises Jerusalem as the state's capital. Drongonia has not changed its stance on the movement of its Israeli embassy, mentioning in the resolution that it intends to remain in Tel Aviv for the foreseeable future. The West Bank and the Gaza Strip are also included in the resolution.

Currently, 141 UN countries officially recognise the State of Palestine, which excludes the vast majority of Western nations. Norcott recognises Palestine, with legislation passing through the Norcott National Chamber in June 2013. Cancolastan's Parliament officially recognised Palestine in July of 2009. Norcott Premier John Norcott posted on Peaker today, simple saying "It's about time. We only wish more nations had the courage of the Drongonian Parliament. #Palestine".

Cancolastani Prime Minister Frank Burk was extremely animated after being informed of the issue during an unrelated press conference in Perth today, and TVDG has chosen not to publish his comments, but notes that they were in support of Drongonia, as well as being disparaging towards Israel and Jews. The comments shocked many of the international journalists in attendance.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Callum Holbrooke released a statement following the resolution, confirming that Drongonia will seek to establish official diplomatic relations with Palestine, which may include a physical embassy being built. The statement also reaffirmed Drongonia's existing commitment to maintaining diplomatic relations with Israel throughout the conflict.

Military attacks major terrorist base near Lumasi, two Most Wanted individuals captured

The 2nd Special Forces Brigade, Molopovinsk Army, along with the 7th Specialized Police Unit and support from the Lumasi Police Department have successfully assaulted and neutralized a major terrorist hideout merely within 20 kilometers southwest of the urban economic center of Lumasi. 55 arrests have been made, along with the confiscation of about 200 rifles, 160 pistols, and 50 IEDs. About 42 kilograms of drug paraphernalia had also been found hiding around various parts of the complex. The raid on the complex took six hours, and left the 2nd SF Brigade with 4 dead and 7 wounded. Police took a much harsher beating, with 5 dead and 20 wounded (6 of which are in critical condition). A further 7 terrorists were killed and the rest were captured or injured. Three of Molopovia's Most Wanted individuals were found in this complex, but one of them were lethally wounded in the bomb-making room by police following an attempt at false surrender.

This compound was first reported to authorities about four months ago, when a concerned citizen called to inform Lumasi PD about an alleged suspicious shipment of guns arriving at the complex. The firefight was a prolonged and bloody mess, but was considered a large victory that has certainly hindered all terrorist operations in north-west Molopovia. All drugs have been sent to a disposal site, and the captured terrorists were detained to an unknown and classified location.

We paid a hefty price, but in return we have taken a significant step into improving the security of the Molopovinsk nation. The scourge of terrorism is going to be defeated once and for all, and it's already been defeated up here in the northwest! Molopovia will rejoice at that day [of victory], I tell ya!

Parliament Debates Vaccine Donation to 5 African Nations
14 May 2020 | Aaron Lim

RIVERFORT -- Parliament debated the Wuhan Pneumonia Vaccine Donation Bill today, which would authorise the donation of in total nearly 50 million doses of the Nacradian UVT vaccine in total to 5 African nations, namely Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, Ghana, Kenya and Ratsirana.

Nacrad had focused on providing aid to Africa since the current Smith administration's election in 2018, having partook in many aid programmes to these nations. The most recent examples being both railway projects, namely the Kampala - Nairobi - Mombasa railway in Uganda and Kenya, and the Lagos Commuter Railway programme both delegated to National Rail. Ratsirana, one of the aid subjects, has recently requested to acquire 22 of the decommissioned M2 Bradley IFV from Nacrad.

This contrasted with the previous administration, the Rodham administration, which had given no focus to aid to such nations, with the then-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Charles Owen controversially calling them "Post-colonial sh*tholes" during a Parliamentary speech. However, during a speech by the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, he claimed that "It is vital for Nacrad to value aid and friendship with these African nations."

The UVT vaccine was the first and so far the only Nacradian vaccine against Wuhan Pneumonia. It is an mRNA vaccine developed by the University of Nacrad, VirTech and the Taipei Medical Institute, which is the same technology used by Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna. It is reported to have an efficacy of 93% after 2 doses, which is on par with the currently-offered vaccines in Nacrad. Development began in March 2020, and entered Phase III human trials in January 2021 before receiving the emergency use authorisation on 10 May.

Critics, however, have called the plan as the "Phase IV human trial of the UVT vaccine", accusing Nacrad of using aid as a way to use the African population as a testing ground of sorts to test its safety before widespread use in Nacrad. However the Director of Health has denied this allegation, claiming that it has never been Nacrad's intentions to use the aid subjects as human trials.

PORRT GREGORY, DEBLAR -

BREAKING NEWS- The Republic of Deblar has officially recognized Palestine as a legitimate state, Foreign Secretary Dennis Shoulla announced this morning at a press conference. This decision comes amid violence and tension in the Gaza and West Bank areas.

This decision has had the support of many members of the Deblarian Union Party for years, with, as Shoulla put it, 'Israel's mistreatment of Palestinians being evident for quite some time', a statement many Unionists agree with. The Deblarian Conservative Party, however, has largely disagreed with this decision, with DCP Chairman Henry Violla saying 'This helps give excuses to people like Iran and Turkey to try to wipe out Israel. They have a right to defend themselves and this is a gross overreaction to what has happened.'

With recognition of Palestine, the Department of Foreign Affairs has planned for more diplomacy with Palestinian leaders, and possibly the construction of an embassy. They plan to continue diplomacy with Israel, but Israeli-Deblarian relations may take a hit with this. The Department of Foreign Affairs was not available for further comment.
