If the same people at Lucas arts green lit lego holiday special, then why not green light skywalker saga over hair colour of all things?

Very possibly changes to its PR and brand image goals in order to help soften the public perception to these films in the long term. Who knows.

It just doesn't make sense. Plus it would look worse in the long run to try and block creative freedom for the writers of lego starwars. It would give the game a bad rep and would lead to the streisand effect. Makeing the movies have a bad public image beacuse of them blocking parody.

I don't think many of the decisions by the people who run Star Wars have "made sense" in terms of maximizing profit and seeding the franchise for long term future prospects so I think such a decision would be right in line with what we've seen from the company and their policy makers thus far.

One could reasonably make the case that this would reflect badly on the people who made the decision ( who generally don't give a shit how they're viewed ) for the most part and not really on the movies themselves and that the long term effect of suppressing criticism making it so that people are less aware or reactive to the flaws of those movies in general would be viewed as a valid tradeoff as the sequels could be used as a sort of blank canvas of "popular scifi" for people to project their views onto ( something that's kind of already happening with Reylo shippers and the majority of people I see discussing the Sequel Trilogy ).

I think long term enjoyment of something does hinge on good products but I think they know those products are unsalvageable due to core flaws inherent to the movies. What I believe they really want to happen at this point is for the backlash to disappear or at least the public perception of backlash so that era can be used as a kind of playground for the fans ( not a true thing to be appreciated, talked about or admired on its own merits like the other eras ).

A key difference is that the ST wasn't the focus in that product. In a product that is specifically spoofing the thing itself they might seek to be more careful about what they're spoofing.

Bringing up Reylo fans was just an example to my point. That being the main passion you see for the sequel trilogy stuff has tended to be for ideas and concepts that the fans themselves have come up with as opposed to any real celebration of those movie's actual content.

Popping into a quick Fallen Order game before the Mass Effect remaster drops and I had a stray thought come back to me:

Another part of the reason why I loved The Clone Wars was the fact the Empire wasn't built in a day. Literally. The imposing Imperial architecture was there, throughout the Republic era. The most iconic being the everything about the Venators. I was not expecting to see such a close similarity between those old ships and the Death Star we see in Episode 4. Even the klaxon alarms were the same, I think. And then there was the Republic military court that really stood out, too. It was really cool to see just how much of the "basic infrastructure" of the Empire was just always there. All of these designs, so very sterile and imposing, were never "actually" designed with the Empire in mind.

Alright finished up episode one, i actually quite liked it. I didnt have much interest initially due to the fact i found the bad batch episodes of season 7 to be mediocre but here i thought they were a lot more interesting and likeable than in those episodes. Animation is fantastic, just as good as Season 7 of the Clone wars and its cool to see more of the transition from the Republic to the Empire and how it effects the clones.

Omega is absolutely a female clone, especially after she landed that shot on Crosshair's rifle, just has to be. Nice to see Tarkin and Saw again too.

So yeah decent first episode.

It was decent enough. But one things did bother me. The retconning of Caleb/Kanan´s backstory felt unessessary, its good they showed Order 66(and it was a very good scene) but could they not have used any other Jedi for it?

Yeah it fits with the Rebels descripton fine, but the Kanan comics never showed the Bad Batch involved at all and I kinda liked that version more.
