CoD Warzone Discussion Thread

Recently, Call of Duty Warzone, the battle royale spinoff game which was made to promote the sale of 2019's Modern Warfare, has had a massive change of the map and a few weeks ago a small live event by some standards. The events included a "Zombie Conflagration" in Verdansk and after a few weeks of buildup, the map was nuked due to the "conflagration" and we went back in time to 1984.

However, the game is not only a part of Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare reboot game(s), earlier this year Treyarch's Black Ops Cold War operators and weapons were integrated into the game and they cause some issues with the meta weapons and whatnot. Please note BOCW is set in the year 1984 and MW19 is set in 2021.

Now, my idea and theory. Take everything I say with a grain of salt. This is based off of my own inferences and information given to me via various sources across the internet.
I believe that Treyarch nuked the map to "remove" Modern Warfare from the Warzone storyline. (Warzone is non-canon as far as I know) They attempted to remove the modern day aspect from Warzone to continue the BOCW storyline when it actually happens. This may seem farfetched but it seems very reasonable (to my own bias).
In essence: BOCW integration>>>zombie event>>>nuke event>>>back in time 1984

So, let's hear your opinions. Also note that you don't specifically have to talk about these events, this is the general discussion thread!

Usually, you wait a couple of hours at the minimum after the thread has been posted to do a bump. Also it might be because people are hesitant to talk in a thread that might get locked or moved soon. Maybe activity will resume when the subforum problem is resolved.

Anyways, I've never really played a CoD game, however I've heard much about them. They seem kind of interesting.

This probably doesn't need to be its own thread, we already have a gaming thread. Unless it's something like the Paradox Interactive thread where there is a lot of substance and things to talk about, it's better suited to just discuss in the general gaming thread.
