Today a press conference was held by the General Staff of the Langenian Armed Forces in the Ministry National Defense building in Aragon. They announced they would temporarily cease bombing DPRI targets due to the fact that Asim's regime had ended persecution of minorities like Christians and Jews. For now. However, the military officers also elaborated that Operation Thunder Eagle would continue targeting other terrorist targets, such as al-Qaeda and ISIS, that continued to operate in the Maghreb. Furthermore, they warned that if minorities were once again persecuted the DPRI would be targeted again. They ended on the conference by announcing they would seek a temporary ceasefire with the DPRI.

Presidential Palace, Aragon, Langenia

Furia picked up the black phone on his desk and dialed the Presidential Palace in Muslimbol. He knew that Asim wouldn't know who was calling, so he would inevitably pick up. Some seconds were spent in tense silence, before it became apparent that the DPRI leader had picked up. Furia promptly greeted him. "Good day. I am the President of Langenia, and I have a proposal, Asim," he said curtly.

We’re almost here prepare for the rendezvous.
The truck continued to towards the docks. From here the two would be taken to Langenia. Who knows how safe they will be but the farther they are from Insaanistan (Any Insaanistan) the safer. It is hard to believe that the country that spanned two continents and seemed to be a beacon of stability to the Arab and African world had descended into the chaos that has become Insaanistan. However this could be restored in due time.

The two Langenian National Navy C-30 multirole fighters circled over the streets of Port Said, their engines rumbling as they radioed back to their carrier that the packages had been picked up by the Jamesians. Meanwhile at the pick-up zone in the desert Cuzco 1 rendezvous zone the Langenian agents waited, their fingers on the triggers of their guns, the pilots of the Chinook helicopter alert and ready.

“Furia!” Asim said, registering finally who was calling, “Well this is certainly a surprise. What exactly is your proposal?”
Asim had not been prepared for this. What could the Langenians want. Surely if they wanted to talk to someone it’d be Abdul-Aziz? Unless...
Was Abdul-Aziz seriously WORSE than Asim to them. That would be great news for the DPRI.

The two looked outside for soldiers. There were none at the docks, and only four police officers, stationed far enough they wouldn’t be able to see the two. Shaheeda turned to Aaron and Eddie.
“Thank you. God be with you,” she said.
“Peace be upon you,” Muhammad told him, stepping out of the truck. The docks were busy enough that they blended in quickly. Wading through the sea of people going to and from the boats, they made their way to the Amal Kabir. They looked at each other and nodded slightly as they boarded. They had made it to the ship, but they were far from out of the woods. They needed to find Captain Batal.
It was then they realized that they had no clue whatsoever what Batal looked like.
“Just our luck,” Muhammad muttered. “Your friend didn’t think this through, did he?”
“Shut up and be greatful, you stupid idiot,” she said, marching up.
“What kinda insult is ‘stupid idiot’?” he mumbled. Noticing she lad left him alone, he quickly ran to catch up with her.
After asking around for a while, they finally found the captain.
“Salaam,” they both said upon coming face to face with him.

“They’re on board and will be taken to safety.” Eddie said. “Yes. Now it is on to phase 2 of the plan.” Aaron said. “Yes, we need to collaborate with the Langenians to find a way to rescue the royals from the palace. Believe it or not they are helping us with their bombings. It is a distraction .” Eddie said. “Hopefully it is enough time to get our propaganda war to the public and to turn the favor of Asim down to revolutionary insurrection level. I think Cain will take care of that.” Aaron said. “Now we wait for the Langenians to come here and plan ahead.” Eddie said. “Speaking of which, they’re here.” Aaron stated. They waved their arms in the air to gain their attention.

"In case you're assuming I'm going to switch my favor from the True Republic to you, not a chance. For now, you've only earned yourself a stop to the bombing because you wisely decided to avoid a genocide of non-Muslims and started fighting the bastards in al-Qaeda and ISIS. But I'm warning you. Go back to your old ways and this time bombing your palace will not be mere mission to cause some damage, it will be a mission of death. Anyway, my proposal is for a ceasefire between us, seeing the rise of the threat of the Daesh idiots in the Maghreb and Nigeria. They must be stopped before we see another illegitimate so-called 'caliphate', only this time in North Africa. Is that acceptable to you?" He waited for Asim's response, wondering what would go through the mind of the man.

Eddie and Aaron realized that they needed to get to the Langenians desert base. They got into the truck and drove to the base. “What do you think will happen to them?” Aaron asked. “They will be taken to Langenia to safety. We will then present our report to them. Once that happens we will tell our superiors. After that are hands are washed of this. Then it will be up to the D.I.M. to overthrow Asim.” Eddie explained. They reached the base. They showed the guards their IDs and went throughout security. Afterwards they were guided to an area where they would wait for the agents.

"I plan to bomb them into oblivion for their crimes," responded Furia. "I will target their training camps in the deserts of Libya, Egypt, and Algeria. This way I can prevent them from further spreading south and using these hideouts to expand into sub-Saharan Africa. They will be destroyed through sheer Langenian air power. No waiting around. No negotiations. They do not deserve to be negotiated with. I will crackdown on them, and they will regret everything wrong they have done." The Langenian president looked out at the window of his office. This was going to be just like the air war in Iraq and Syria. That was fine. Everything would end the same: with bad results for the terrorists.

Asim sat up. Though Nicolas obviously couldn’t see it, his look had become stern.
“And what happens if I refuse to allow you into our airspace?” Asim asked. While he certainly hated terrorists, he also hated foreign intervention. It definitely wouldn’t go well among the populace if he just let Langenia in, even if it was to fight terrorism. Asim was trying to maintain popularity for stability, and he knew he had enemies even in his own party.

“Salaam,” they both said upon coming face to face with him.

Runihura had been watching from the shadows the progress of the royals and their "American" friends through the city of Port Said. Once they had reached a landmark he had noted before on the planning stage, he split off and cut through to a nondescript slum house. He knocked three short knocks and a long one harshly on the aging wooden door. He saw a old man come hobbling out of the door, putting on spectacles to see Runihura. "I thought I put a sign saying this wasn't the speaksie." He looked frail with clothes that were soon becoming rags.

Runihura smiled for the show of a woman and her child passing by the door. "I'm sorry avus. Forgive my forgiveness. I just needed coffee before my long voyage to Tobruk."

The old man looked shifty and waited until the passerby were gone. "Come in. And take care to lock it securely." He pointed to the inside of the house. Runihura, touched a lamp near the door at the base and the door closed. If one was to look at the workings of the door, it would see titanium cylinders enter the door and expanded their end to have a secure hold on the door. The old man was a old man only in the body. A young man with shocking green eyes, flawless complexion and raven dark hair with a hawk-like nose was the head of the body.

"Nice costume. I thought I had the wrong house for a second." Runihura stated as the young male, who could not be past the the 20s, lifted a sofa and revealed a set of stairs. They both walked down the stairs in silence as they entered the room, which was utterly confusing It featured a multitude of computers and screens and 4 men on them. There were machines guns, guns, bullets, equipment to fully are a full platoon. "So, what equipment do you have for nice cruise on the Mediterranean Fel?"

"Can you at least call me by my real name? It's Fabian like I told you." He handed him a silenced gun. "But seriously, somethings wrong. Look." He nodded to one of the men on the computer who showed him footage of a security cameras, all focused on the truck with the royals. Behind them, in some distance was always a gray sedan, with was seemed like two north african men in it. "Informers." He said. "They know who you are. We found some calls to some information on your description."

"Dammit. I must have been careless when I was following those kids. Do you at least have a needlegub?" Runihura said to Fabian. Fabian then led him to a chamber and passed him a dagger. Without hesitation, Runihura slit the top of his pinkie and let the blood drop into a peculiar 3 inch wide tube. The blade had been so keen, he had not felt the dagger, but he could see the bright red blood coming out. Suddenly, Fabian turned on the light to a podium with a mannequin-like object on there. Runihura saw his blood being transferred to a machine and left as a green liquid in much larger amount. The green liquid entered the mannequin and 2 minutes later, Runihura had a sharp intake of breath. He had seen a needlegub, but what he saw know surprised him. He was looking at a clone of himself.

Fabian looked to Runihura for directions and Runi snapped out of it. He addressed the neeedlegub in a commanding voice. "You are now Runihura. You know my memories. I command you to take all evasive actions and leave Port Said to go to Alexandria. When captured, say nothing." The clone nodded and left the chamber. Runihura followed him into a tunnel. They walked a while until, they saw a door, which Fabian opened with a fingerprint. The two Runihuras left in opposite directions.

Runihura hurried to the boat and saw Batal talking to a member of the crew. They both held eye contact for a second and Batal quickly nodded into the ship. Runihura entered and maneuvered through the crates into the crew cabins. He swept the room for bugs and sat. He finally sat immobile at the window, waiting to see when the royals would get on.

Batal had been in the process in loading the ship when two teens walked up to him. He noted in his mind that these must be royals and shouted in a oud voice. "My nieces! How have you been! Mohammed this are the offspring of my sister." he said to a crewmember. The crewmember took the symbol and walked up to the deck. Batal quickly whispered in Mohammed (The royal)
"Do not trust anyone. Not even Mohammed. Do not say who you are. There are people who will gain much by killing you." With that he led them to Mohammed who had them enter the boat.

Muhammad and Shaheeda took one last look at their forsaken country. The land they had grown up in. A land they now had to leave if they wanted to live. They turned to each other and nodded, stepping onto the boat simultaneously with their right foots.
“Bismillah,” they muttered as they entered inside.
In the name of God.

Nothing here either. Any other ideas?

The search had frustrated Iên to no end. Having literally watched Fazluddin walk away, and being one of the last people to see him, Iên hoped this would help in his search.

It did not.

Despite his best efforts, he could not find a trace of Fazluddin anywhere. It was almost as if he had vanished into thin air! No, if Fazluddin was to be found, it would have to be a different way.

He had a map in his office and he stood up, walked towards it, and pointed to the subcontinent. “The British finally left the region in ‘47, but not only did they Partition it along religious lines, they left some regions up for vote. Only some.”
He pointed to Kashmir. “Kashmir was Muslim majority but ruled by Hindu elites. The elites wanted India, the populace rather preferred Pakistan. In the end, war broke out time and time again.”
He moved his finger father south. “Hyderabad. Hindu majority but large Muslim population. Heck, even has a Muslim name. It took it a while to decide whom to join and it inevitably chose India.”
He turned back to Long. “My point is, as... Ayesha,” he said distastefully, “told Iên, and as a nu,her of representatives agreed, the entirety of the peninsulas’s provinces and states and regions but have referendums for it to be a true democratic vote. The most prepared part of Italy for a vote is Districta Roma (Rome), and the most prepared part of Iberia at present is Sevilla.”

Long furrows her brow. "Of course I am familiar w-"

The ringing of Asim's phone interrupts her mid sentence. As Asim asks to hold for a moment, Long takes the papers back from him. Poring over the final few papers, she confirms her initial understanding that the Coalition had only agreed to referendums in Sicily, Sardinia, and Granada. Full referendums had been brought up a few times by various parties, but the concept always found itself denied. Long smiles slightly from the comfort in finding that she had not been mistaken.

Reclining in her chair, the ambassador takes another sip from her tea as she waits patiently for Asim's phone conversation to end.

"Ah. Then I take it you're not interested in a ceasefire. Trying to keep your power base, aren't you, Asim? I see you won't be very popular if you allow so-called 'imperialists' like us into Insaani airspace. I'd like to point out that your air defenses have been destroyed. The same applies for your air force. Your regime has no international recognition beyond the Saudis. Besides, the Saudis probably can't be too helpful if they have no American help, and they and you are in very short supply of that." The tone in his voice had gone from being neutral to being enraged, like he could start yelling at a moment's notice. Though Asim could not see it, his face with contorted with rage.

Asim sighed. “Alright, Furia. You have our permission I suppose. Just don’t hit anything civilian.”
He hung up the phone and turned to Ambassador Long. “I apologize for the wait. What exactly were we discussing? I forgot already.”
He coughed again, then cleared his throat.

"The fate of Italy and Iberia," Ambassador Long replies, leaning forward once more. "I reread the transcripts while I was waiting. The final verdict was that Sicily, Sardinia, and Granada would have referendums, but the Italian peninsula had to be unified no matter what. Though nothing was set in stone, and I'm sure we will need to continue working out the details."

Long takes another sip of her tea, finishing it and setting the cup down.

"A lot of the Coalition has a deep dislike for you and your government, Asim. It is going to be much harder for us to help you than it was to help Fazluddin. But between rise of Abdul-Aziz and the revelation that you are not, in fact, a genocidal maniac, it is becoming clearer to Gongsi that you are the best candidate to help Insaanistan."

"Honestly," Long says with a smirk, "I'd prefer you in charge of Insaanistan than Fazluddin. I don't think he quite has what it takes to prevent Insaanistan from disintegrating. Either way, we will need to make you look like a more...palatable option to the Coalition. Concessions, promises, and reparations will need to be made, but whatever you lose Gongsi will help you recover."

"Oh," she adds, "and I think you should attend the next meeting personally. You representatives came off a bit...coarse and undiplomatic. You are much more charismatic in person and will no longer be a distant mystery to those at the table. Ah, and one more thing: the Royals. What are your thoughts and plans for them?"

“Yeah, they never actually came back,” Asim said, something which had bothered him since the conference’s conclusion.
Upon hearing the question of what to do with the Royal Family, Asim sighed.
“I don’t know,” he admitted. “I suppose I’ll have to keep them locked up. But I really don’t know what to do with them. "You could set them back up but strip them of all power. It might actually help reunite the nation having a Royal figurehead, as it would help inspire national pride and swing support of moderate royalists to your side. Then again, I do not know the Insaani people as well as you do, so you would have to tell me if that would work or not."

Long smiles as her eyes light up with the spark of an idea. "You could even put Soraya back up as Sultana and make the role advisory. Then people will believe Soraya is helping run the country, but is only in an advisory position so as to not affect her health. It is a call back to better days and puts a well-liked face front and center without actually return the country to the Royal Family."

"No need to apologize, if she cannot be trusted then she cannot be trusted. Anyway, we can start laying out the beginnings of what help you might need once all this is over," Long suggests. "I assume you will need military aid in suppressing the various rebels that plague your country. Fazluddin seemed to be under the impression that foreign soldiers would be more of a hinderance than a help. Do you have the same reservations? If so we can still provide logistical, aerial, naval, and other forms of secondary support to the Insaani military."

"We could also allow for Muslim volunteers to aid you," Long continues, "if you think that the common brotherhood of Islam would help scatter the feelings of foreign occupation. Is there anything else we should take into consideration, or any other aid you may need?"

Muhammad nodded, immediately understanding. After relaying the information to Shaheeda in a hushed tone, they followed Mohammed into the boat.

Mohammed walked them through the winding passageways. The turns and twists were so confusing, that even the seasoned first mate had to turn around after meeting a dead end. The three passed multiple signs on not burning and be careful of slip and falls on the ladders. The boat seemed to be from the 70s, a relic that many would consider to bad to enter the seas. And they would be right as Mohammed states that they were soon to get a new boat.

After climbing two sets of stairs, they arrived at a small wooden door. As they would enter, the would see popcorn ceiling, a built in brown fuzzy carpet and nauseating yellow walls. There was also a single musty mattress with a single blanket and a dingy pillow that had seen better days. There was also another thick comforter on the floor as an impromptu bed. There was a small desk and chair and a small dresser. Some carpet stuck together in group due to some unknown substance.

"Well, have a good voyage. Food will be at the lunchroom at 8 AM, 2 PM and 8PM. Have fun. I have VERY fond memories of this room." He smiled creepily and shut the room.

“The bloody hell?” questioned Muhammad.
“I dunno, mate,” Shaheeda said. “But I’ve got my eye on him.”
They looked at the room before them and all it’s amenities, or lack thereof. Muhammad looked inside the dresser and touched the desk. He ran his left forefinger over it, revealing a ton of dust.
“It’s a d*mn dump,” he said finally.
“It’s a room!” Shaheeda corrected. “Be grateful.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he said.
They stood looking around for a moment.
“Sooo... who gets the bed?”
“I call it,” said Shaheeda.
“What? Why?”
“Fine. You have it.”
“Thank you,” Muhammad replied. After lying in the bed he quickly regretted complaining.

Shaheeda and Muhammad finally exited their room and walked about the ship. Surprisingly, they only got lost three time before finally making it out of the absolute labyrinth of hallways. They began exploring the ship and asking the crewmates questions, trying to avoid Mohammed at all costs.

With the royals safely aboard it was onwards to step 2 of Operation Rebirth. Step 1 was to get Shaheeda and Muhammed to safety. Step 2 was time to get the masses of Insaanistan to rise up. Step 3 is when the citizens are thoroughly rallied up they will then begin a revolution. Step 4 is when the people are revolting, The Jamesian Republic with Langenia will storm the palace and liberate the royal family.
Become an Independent. You’ll see how liberating it is.
