Last movie I saw was Joker (2019) which tells how long I go with not watching movies. I haven't seen a movie in almost 2 years.

Mortal Kombat!!!!!! dunnun du nu nunu etc.

I mean, honestly as good as a Mortal Kombat movie can be...maybe. It's profoundly silly while taking itself seriously (good choice).
They both were all in on the tournament thing but then never actually held the tournament.

I didn't hate it. It provided tons of stylized bullshit martial arts action and comical levels of blood and gore. It's pretty much what you sign up for with Mortal Kombat.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

An unsuitable job for a woman I enjoy it, but it is a flawed film, my enjoyment is mainly nostalgia for my youth, it really captures a moment in the 1980s.

The girl in the spider's web which was rubbish. They had tried to turn the franchise into action films rather than thrillers and fasiled. Completely preposterous action film sequences that would never work out in real life - like the John Wick films - making the hero look not so much smart as reliant on dumb luck.

Watched Mortal Kombat (2021) and I have to say I quite enjoyed the movie despite its flaws. I just wished we got
Johnny Cage
in the movie, but I guess I'll have to wait for the sequel. With that said I still think the original Mortal Kombat movie is still better than the 2021 version while the 2021 version is better than Annihilation

Power play (1978) not a film I'd seen or even heard of before. About a group of military officers staging a coup d'etat in an unnamed country. Had a very realistic feel to how it unfolded.

The Beach Bum didn't like it, maybe if Elmore Leonard had written the script instead.

hard to say for sure because I don't watch a whole lot of movies but probably either Parasite (2019) or the Joker (2019).

Good movie overall with some funny moments, though it was maybe a little too "sugary and sweet" for my tastes. 3.5/5

That one is old!! I saw it in 1988.

Last night I watched "Biohazard: damnation". Toe curling bad. All tropes are present, animation atrocious. Had a lovely evening... sometimes one needs a horrible film to appreciate others more.

Bottle Rocket

Wes Anderson's, Owen Wilson's, and Luke Wilson's first film. It felt a bit underdeveloped, though the ending was great.
