Can we have a general cessation of people on one side taking the statements of someone on the other as being indicative of the views of the whole faction?

Well, no, because Jo started it. Jo started by painting this thread with the brush of "defenders", which is why defenders are pointing out that it's not all defenders. A realization that political blunders like this are used as propaganda by the other side (especially when the blunder is as glaring as this one and is committed by one of the long time de facto leaders of the defending faction) and attempting to distance ourselves from it is called smart.

There aren't any occupations, no regions under threat of being locked, and raiding is practically dead. There's no wasting time by doing this, and all will be revealed at the end.

Work never ends. Not everything is about drama. Defending still has real problems even though we're riding highs of wins lately. Roll up your sleeves. Do work to build a region or organization so we can make the numbers for our next liberation. Do spotting. Train new officers. Run cultural programs.

Showdowns only matter so much. Major defenses/liberations are where everyone gets to showcase the work they put in before the showdown to prepare for it. Roll up your sleeves and help instead of doing things that politically sabotage the faction as a whole, especially when you have no clear end goal in mind

PLOT TWIST: Lenlyvit did this for one reason...

First off we look at the thread title. [Sub] Liberate The New Inquisition. Seems pretty normal right? Well if you look into things there are major irregularities in the thread title, mainly with the [Sub] part. The omitted part is "mitted". HAHA GET IT? But if we look through the pun, we notice the letter "O" is the only word away from making the word omitted. Curious. Anyways if we look at the alphabet and add the words up based on the order they appear in the alphabet you get 71. And 7 + 1 = 8. Now we take a look at 2019, a year in significance that will be revealed later. Lets add up the numbers for this one. 2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 12. 8 + 12 = 20. And im all about averages, so 20 / 2 = 10. J is also the 10th letter in the alphabet, and J and O make JO. Jo, who was the one that started pinning things on defenders. Very suspicious. He is involved in a conspiracy with Lenlyvit, despite them being bitter enemies, and I have just proved it. But this massive conspiracy between hardliner raiders and defenders isnt even the biggest conspiracy I am about to share with you today. Because some of you may be asking- who is Jo? And this, right here, is the final piece of the puzzle. What im about to unveil to you is the ultimate reason behind Jo and Lenlyvit's collaboration.

Jo is...

Jo MAMA.

Well, I'm going to call it now that this will not make it to a vote. I want to thank everyone within this thread for participating in the "Lenlyvit attempts to wake GP up" attempt, which ultimately I feel failed. I don't think there will be any long term effects from this, since GP is still ultimately going along with the socialization aspect of NS now instead of regional politics.

I know a lot of you think this was haphazard, and the draft was a poor attempt that didn't make it to a vote. News flash, if I wanted it at vote 100% it would have gone to vote already. I'm usually pretty good at getting it to that point! Anyways, the reason I rambled throughout this thread and shifted my motives so much was because I was trying to keep you all engaged, which I feel I did a bad job of.

Although, almost all sides did ultimately show up. We had raiders, defenders, and imperialists arguing here. I was really hoping Onder might stick around, but oh well :p. And now I end these shenanigans with this post, and if you weren't entirely sure my controversial "commend 10000 Islands" was an attempt to do the same thing but I really suck at arguing.

Those are virtually impossible now because the GCRs have grown so secure and stagnant. :(

In any case, I for one appreciate Lenlyvit trying to bring some kind of interesting activity to gameplay since it's been sorely lacking in any for quite some time. Of course this wasn't going to pass, and does anyone really think Lenly was silly enough to think it would? Too many authorships to be that naive. It obviously really was just about generating activity and something politically interesting, even if it was only temporary, because someone has to every now and again.

This proposal was approval raided by The West Pacific on Major update 2 days ago, taking down 3 approvals.

Indeed it was. Lenlyvit is aware. I don't think the proposal was slated to enter queue regardless, but it's unfortunate to see a new edition of a sadly-often-defended attack on sovereignty once again.
