Even if Innovative Investments is a mostly proficient team somehow, the national football association was underfunded for much times and decades. The Universities and Football fans called for larger funding, though It is not possible and every word to fix the funds will be resolved in the battlefield with crushing tanks spraying mustard gas.
The Universities of Malice and Germanium were responsible for picking the Players, which they always did excellency and always gave the shine on our sports skills, specifically football because the universities always help preparations and celebrations based on past and current results.
Of course the Players started arriving at Reçueçn, the place they are playing football against Shreekaristan Football team, which they were wary and worried of because of the lack of information about their opponent because intelligence gatherings were suspended becoming of COVID-19 Lockdowns and protocols.
They first ate some traditional favorites of Recuecn.

A HISTORY OF THE UNITED FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

The United Kingdom of Galeanna is made up of 3 Kingdoms which include; Albaland, Doria and Catenland. In each of these Kingdoms football is very popular as such by 1885 all of these Kingdoms had their own individual leagues. These leagues were amateur. The Football Association Challengers Cup or FA Cup simply was the only recognized Galeanna tournament between the 3 Kingdoms. The club that won the FA Cup was recognized as the ‘Champions of Galeanna’. The prestige of the FA Cup brought in a lot of revenue for the participating football clubs. Wanting to further make profits, the big clubs in Galeanna begun to talk about the formation of a professional Super League in 1886. The FA were against professionalism as they thought it would go against the working class nature of the game. However due to pressure from clubs and football lovers all around Galeanna the FA gave a go ahead to the big clubs to form a Super League. After extensive discussions, between late 1886 and 1887, the United Football League was formed on July 20th 1888.

Sir Benjamin Walsh the first chairman of Newburgh Heath Football Club, is considered the founding father of the United Football League (UFL). Sir Walsh had gotten frustrated with the poor organization of the individual Kingdom leagues which did not give consistent fixtures for his team and how the leagues were unreliable for racking in income. On 20th March 1886, he wrote a letter to the committees of; Normanton Rovers, Saint Augustine United (now Harchester United), Aberbrith Wanderers and Borthwick FC. In the letter he suggested the creation of a professional league that would provide a guaranteed list of fixtures.

The first UFL season begun in 1889 with 8 teams with Aberbrith Wanderers being the first title winners. The next season 4 more teams were added to the UFL after they had applied. For the second year in row Aberbrith Wanderers won the league. In the following season Newburgh Heath did the double by winning the UFL and the FA Cup. In 1892 the Galeanna Football League was founded as an opposing league to the UFL. After extensive discussions the GFL and UFL merged. The UFL was increased to 16 teams and a second division was created with 12 teams in 1893.

The UFL would remain the top division for many years until 2004 when 16 clubs broke away to form the Super 16 Championship. The breakaway was due to 16 clubs not wanting to share TV revenue with other UFL teams when a TV rights deal was offered by Star TV. In 2008 the UFL expanded to include a fourth division and gained sponsorship from Star Bet a subsidiary of Star TV.

BUNKAIIA WINS THEIR FIRST MATCH

After an opening loss to the much larger nation of Gergary and then a nail-biting late equalizer tie with Sendhang, prospects for Bunkaiia seemed disparaging.

However, an early fast-paced goal at the 4th minute by Rightwinger Keïan with the support of Lotefin and Krutos was all that was needed to establish a win over Tolanka. Interestingly, Tolanka's offense also proved slow to engage earlier on in their match against Sendhang. Though Sendhang had failed to capitalize on this weakness, Bunkaiia was quick to learn from it and benefit from it.

The rest of the match saw Tolanka and Bunkaiia wrestle in terms of ball possession and Bunkaiia gave few opportunities while also not taking too many risks. The last 15 minutes of the second half saw Tolanka desperately try to equalize on three separate occasions, including a powerful kick from within the box to far left corner, but the experienced Bunkaiian goalkeeper Moïàreš denied them every time.

Interestingly, after the Sendhangian defeat of Marigred - which was an all-Melayu afair, Sendhang and Bunkaiia are now tied in terms of points, with a loss, a tie and a win each.

DAY 13 - MONTH 1 - YEAR 6

Sendhang back in it

Sendhang went from the bottom of the group to the joint-top of Group C with a slim 1-0 victory over Marigred at Siegstadion, Zimmerich. The solitary goal from Gusti Sing Nggawe in the last minute of the match gave Sendhang its first victory in the 75th Baptism of Fire.

Overall, it was a game of two halves. Marigred dominated the first half and Sendhang dominated the second half.

Marigred's captain, Damarco Baldwin's clever run from the left who managed to find Zima King in the middle of the box but shot wide in the fifth minute showed Marigred was more aggressive coming into the match.

After the first attempt at goal by Marigred, they continued to try to open the scoring this time with a 1-2 move between Zima King and Wakee Hubt. Zima King was one-on-one with the goalkeeper but his shot was inches wide of the Sendhang's goal.

Marigred once again made an attack in the 26th minute that resulted in a one-on-one situation but Albertus Wageo managed to block an attempt from Damarco Baldwin. Not stopping there, a header from Marigred center back, Antez Mcdowell hit the crossbar from the resulting corner kick.

Sendhang managed to contain the pressure for the entire first half and Marigred have to blame themselves for not translating any of their chances into goals.

Both teams ended the first half 0-0.

Teuku Syarkawi made three changes at the break by introducing Wedhus Geni, Teuku Salahuddin, and Ramon Kalbasi to the match. The introduction of the three fresh legs turned out to be the right decision as Sendhang played more spiritedly in the second half.

Sendhang pressed the third final area intensely in the entire second half. But their goal only came at the final minute when Gusti Sing Nggawe managed to release an excellent attempt from outside the penalty box to beat Zakari Calhoun. There was nothing Zakari can do as the shot was too fast and very difficult to be saved by any goalkeeper.

Sendhang grabbed 3 valuable points and go into their final group match with everything to play for.

3 interesting things from the match:

1. EXCELLENT DEFENDING FROM SENDHANG

Marigred made a lot of attempts from inside and outside Sendhang's penalty box. Several attempts were successfully blocked by the Sendhang defense, if this does not happen Marigred will definitely lead the match and the result will be more difficult for Sendhang.

2. WINGERS TOO DEEP

A lot of Sendhang's attacking movements were stunted when the position of their 2 wingers was too deep. Counter-attacks were unable to be launched as there were no runners from the wing and the only option was to send the ball direct to the striker or hold the ball and let Marigred's re-organize their defense.

3. EXCITING MATCH

This match was not a match that saw both teams counter-attack but it still had an interesting script. Marigred was the better side in the first half and Sendhang was the better side in the second half. The fans have more time to evaluate both the attacking and defensive phases of both teams.

SUMMARY

Both teams have the chance to score. Both teams were entitled to a point from the match but a solid shot from Gusti Sing Nggawe separated the two teams with only a minute left in the match.

Marigred Senior Camp Report
Day 3 Baptism of Fire 75

"SECOND HALF CHANGE BY SYARKAWI COST MARIGRED MISS ALL 3 POINT

Zimmerich, Recuecn (June 17 2100)-- The tactical play by Syarkwi help Sendhang defeat Marigred 1-0 at Siegstadion, Zimmerich. This three points help Sendhang move. up to 2nd place in group C and keep their hope for knockout stage alive.

Single goal by Gusti at the final minute really killed Marigred as they continued to struggle to launch an attack to Sendhang side. The attack from Marigred to level back end up in failure cost them finished this match without any points.

First half and second half can be said totally different. In the first half, Marigred come up with some dangerous attack to Sendhang side force their attacking side to play more deep to help defense. However, Zima King still try to find his touch after let two one-on-one situations wasted. He seem totally out of luck today after two golden chance for him, both end up wide and straight to keeper. Even Marigred controlling possession of first half, what we can see clearly only one two pass in the center midfielder to Marigred own side.

Second half, this time, Sendhang controlling the game. Three change from Syarkawi make this game changed clearly from Marigred possession to Sendhang possession. Even their wing side marked tightly, two or three long pass nearly cost Marigred to concede 2/3 more goal, however, the quick recovery from Antez and Rakeem prevent that. However, Marigred start become sloppy after Antez subbed out because a knock after a collision with Gusti. Olishia, come in for the first time, surely too nervous end up making a mistake after the ball being stolen from him give Sendhang to counter for a single goal of this match.

A disappointment to Marigred camp. A bad days for attack. Mordel must look back at the gameplay today. Not the tactical cause Marigred to loss, but the mistake by player. As he confidence mistake is the ways to learn, but today mistake cost them 3 points taken away. 2 match left for Marigred, the chance still there. Mordel have a work yo do. How he will faced next game, lets wait and see.

After the heartbreaking loss to Islands of Ventro, the Eshian team flew back to Centralis for their game against Naufre. On the flight over, Coach Morgan would announce the starting 11 for the next game, being the same as the end of the previous game:

GK #11 Christian MEERS (M, 26)
LB #7 David GORMAN (M, 27)
CB #14 Carter LANGLEY (M,24)
CB #20 Dominique LaPLANTE (F, 25)
RB #8 Sarah SILVER (F, 29)
LM #19 Avery MacDOUGALL (F, 26)
CM #16 Lysander MOORE (M, 28)
RM #12 Melissa CAREY (F, 27) (Captain)
LW #9 Alyssa LONGFIELD (F, 26)
RW #17 Stephen LACHEY (M, 29)
ST #10 Jacob HARRAN (M, 23)

As the team landed, they felt at home again. They knew Centralis, and associated it with good memories. Memories of that victory over Aut-Ves-Nat that they never expected. The question hanging over their heads was: could they repeat their success?

Training for that game consisted of trying to build chemistry. The chemistry was off in the Ventro game, and Coach Morgan knew that it'd have to be fixed if the Owls were to have any chance of winning. Thank goodness their next game was against as-yet-goalless Naufre and not against a very challenging opponent... they could almost consider this game another part of training, giving them a chance to build chemistry... but there were no freebies, and they'd have to train hard beforehand too.

A lot of the training would involve letting MacDougall get more used to playing with the rest of the team. She only had about 14 minutes of play in the last game, so she could use any chance she could get.

Meers was good at goalkeeping, but not great, so Coach had Harran, Longfield, and Lachey practice shooting on Meers. This would give them the practice shooting and Meers practice in net against some of the best shooters in the tournament. Two birds, one stone.

Cohesion between the midfielders and forwards was also something that needed to be worked on, what with Carey's botched pass in the 61st minute. If Carey could mess up there, anyone could. On the bright side, the defenders didn't need any special assistance, just a standard training session.

This training would continue for a couple more days. Sometimes, Coach would mix some things up, train people in different things, and keep them well-rounded, but in general, he stuck to the key theme of team chemistry. Would this work though? Would the Owls be able to perform like a team, better than the sum of their parts, or just as 11 separate players again?

"Hello and welcome back to ENN Tournament Report, I'm your host Alana Markai. The past six games in Reçueçn have been truly ridiculous, and we're here to report them for you."

Brookstation 5 - 5 Innovative
"The score says it all: this was an exciting, high-scoring game that ultimately ended in these teams having the highest combined score yet, though it proved relatively uneventful leaderboard-wise. While officials in Reçueçn didn't officially announce this, we can now definitively say that Brookstation is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. The only teams that can tie or pass them are Qzvarkian Qaz and Innovative, who still have to play a game against each other, so they can't both pass Brookstation; only one can."

Qzvarkian Qaz 2 - 0 Shreekaristan
"Sadly, Shreekaristan's Baptism hopes end here, with only one point after three games, only scoring one lone goal on opening day against Innovative. Central Antarctic Peninsula are also hanging by a thread, but if Innovative loses to Qzvarkian Qaz and CAP can rack up a high enough goal differential against Brookstation, they may still have a chance."

Kannap 3 - 4 Galeanna
"Kannap's hopes also ended with this game, with zero points to their name after three games. Galeanna, on the other hand, has now punched their ticket to to round of 16 with their seven points in four games."

Revlona 0 - 3 Atheara
"Well, Atheara has done the impossible: they have allowed a grand total of zero goals with a 3-1-0 record in the group stage, a clean sweep of clean sheets. Of course they'll advance to the round of 16, but don't count Revlona out yet, because they may still get a wild-card slot!"

Marigred 0 - 0 Tolanka, Gergary 0 - 0 Sendhang
"The mess that is Group C seems no clearer after two scoreless draws. It really will come down to the final night for everyone in that group, with Sendhang being in a very dangerous position, not playing that night. They'll have to either get lucky with the tie-breaks or qualify with a wild-card slot to move on."

"We'll be back later with the results from Electrum. Until then, I've been Alana Markai, this has been Tournament Report, and you've been watching ENN."

From the website of the news magazine The New Week National Atlantic News Spectating Economist Time Man.
In A Distant Rainforest Republic, Agrarian Reform Brings Questions

It’s Constitution Day in Montaña Verde, but in Santa Margarita, it’s not high-minded civic virtues and democratic history being celebrated, but the results of a fútbol match. The Condors, Montaña Verde’s national team, having limped winless through the Independent Associations Championship in Almuzahara and lost the opening encounter of the Baptism of Fire in Electrum, have finally recorded the first win in their history, an emphatic 5 – 1 thrashing of Suimede. Children run through the streets letting off firecrackers while their older siblings, wearing shirts of arch-rivals Olimpia La Limana and Calequén, embrace as one, united under the Condors’ winning glow. The warm evening promises a night of jubilation and unity. But on the horizon, storm clouds gather.

Morning will bring the formal promulgation of the long-debated Agricultural Development Act (ADA), bringing it with the first major land reforms in the country in a century. Aiming to break the monopolistic grip of the Græntfjall-based Kraken Fruit Corporation (KFC) and to shatter the power base of the quasi-feudal landed gentry who between them control 95% of agricultural land, the law will begin the project of repossessing and redistributing vast tracts of farmland. Indigenous communities are expected to be the prime beneficiaries of the reforms.

The ADA has taken two years to bring to passage since President Diego Alejandro Santángel Ordóñez swept to power on a wave of popular anger over the governing National Republican Party’s failure to improve the material circumstances of Verdean workers. A former professor of ancient history, the softly spoken Santángel was far removed from the typical image of a populist demogogue; his rallies resembled sermons on the importance of moderation rather than calls to arms. But with a stroke of the fountain pen he keeps tucked into the top pocket of the padded-elbow suit that has become known as his sartorial hallmark, he has effected some of the most radical transformations of the Verdean economy. Not to universal acclaim.

A “rabble-rousing Marxist academic”, a “Luddite wrecker”, a “stoker of anti-Græntfjaller hatred”, are among the charges echoing in the headlines of Háttmark tabloids, seeking to paint his land reforms as less about improving the situations of Verdean peasants, frequently forced to choose between serf-like conditions on vast conditions or the lure of richer cash crops – chiefly cocaine – and brigandage, and more about enriching Verdean domestic industry at the expense of Græntfjaller concerns, chief among them KFC, who have invested billions in the country over the last few decades. The Græntfjaller government has offered to dispatch “agricultural advisors” to Montaña Verde to oversee the implementation of the ADA.

With a young population hungry for change and impatient at the slow rate of initial progress in the first years of his presidency, and powerful stakeholders arraying against him, President Santángel has a delicate line to walk. For tonight, he will be glad of the distractions of political squabbles being set aside to celebrate a game of fútbol; come morning, he will probably see the progress of the Condors in Electrum take a back seat to his make-or-break agrarian reform law.

It May Be A Rough Ride for the Reds

It's 2:30 am in Capolel, Puavekh, Suimede. You just woke up in your high-rise apartment complex, as are so common in these big Suimeder cities, and you think to yourself. "Fǒgo! Rerejlage opahecel beshą
nialega!*"
You try to call your mother to apologize, cause you'll surely be there next time, but she doesn't reply. She's probably asleep. Well, you missed the whole thing you wanted to do today, and you can't sleep in the middle of the night. Let's turn on the television.
You scroll through all the channels, nothing too interesting going on. SuiTV Sport is showing a replay of some historic Suimeder rules match from about 1989, between like, Traktor and Red Star or something. How are Traktor even doing in the Reshtligę these days? They got relegated a couple years ago, so I guess not well. You keep scrolling through channels with nothing good on, some people are renovating a house, politics are happening, and some couple that deeeefinitely isn't made for each other is about to get married because they won a game show. The complete lack of TV options at random o'clock was nearly enough to cure your insomnia, but you finally get to Channel 20: the 24-hour English-language news station, SuiTV English. You don't speak English, not that well anyway, so it'll be good background noise for you to fall asleep to.

"...and now here's Paul Maguire with our sports coverage across the Violet Island."

"Good day everyone, my name is Paul Maguire and today we start off our sports coverage with a recap of Suimede's first 3 matches in Group F of the 75th Baptism of Fire. The national team got off to a 1-2 start in the competition, and we head to Lisa McCarthy for more."

"Thanks, Paul, and let's get into the recap."
...
"The Uliga-Peștěp got off to a good start in their BoF campiagn with a 2-1 win over The Bigtopian isles. The Knights got off to a great start in the 24th minute, as a slick Mehdi Benyamina ball into Feliș am-Hepej at the 18 allowed him to cut inside in the box, curling his shot around the last defender back, and placing it just out of reach for Robert Mphosa. The game was relatively even from then on, the Bigtopian Isles leading way in the possession category 66/34, but Suimede launching a few more shots, albeit the only one on target was am-Hepej's goal. Leading into halftime the game stood at 1-0, although that, of course, wouldn't hold.

Manager Somayeh Tayfur made one change at the break, subbing off Fabią Mulikhede for Kapuej Sįn. Sįn would very soon make an impact, playing a perfect cross into Maurinho in the 59th, the shot unfortunately skying over the bar. The Reds looked to park the bus for the rest of the game, but that'd prove to be an inefficient strategy, as the pressure invitation was capitalized on by Andre Weah, who hit a stunner from absolute range, helped by a deflection from Sǔnage am-Gouf. The BI nearly went into the lead, as Dani Sepúlveda took down substitute Oscar Jackson just inside the box, but the penalty was flatly denied by captain Carmelo Peko. Again, the Bigtopians were looking to score on an aggressive wave of play in the 70th, but the final ball was intercepted by Sepúlveda, ironically. This was an important interception as well, as Sepu laid it off to substitute Rese am-Krogos, who took it down the wing, played a beautiful long ball to Jamal Blev who couldn't help but head it home to put Suimede back into the lead at 2-1, creeping into the 71st. The score kept after a great save from Robert Mphosa at close range kept it from going 3-1."

"The next game wasn't so fortunate for Suimede. The Sahuaritans were coming in confident from their win against Montaña Verde, and it showed in their performance here. The Chavet’ųmush first conceded in the 25th, when a brilliant dribble from Ruben Quesada left him with only the keeper to beat, and the 28-year-old captain took zero chances. In their slightly more defensive 4-1-4-1 formation, Suimede were dearly hoping to keep it 1-0 going into the break, but after a lengthy spell of possession from the Esportivan nation, Anthony Sáez was through on goal, and delicately lobbed the ball over helpless keeper Peko. In the second half, things weren't significantly better, Suimede were decent defensively to start out, but that all fizzled away once Božidar Pavlović gave up a free kick in a dangerous position 10 minutes into the latter half, receiving a yellow. Rubén Covarrubias absolutely smashed it, with help from the crossbar, and the score now read three-nil. In the 76th, Sahurita nearly put in a fourth on the counter, but substitute Rese am-Krogos managed to use his threatening pace to get in front of it and force a corner. That didn't matter much though, it was taken short, and when the ensuing cross was put in, Sáez got his brace. The only consolation was just before full time, in which Flavio Guerrero cleaned up a shot from Jamal Blev that had been spilled by Sahuaritan #1 Justin Espinar."

"The Reds were now set to face Montaña Verde themselves, a fixture that wouldn't give any hope to Suimeder fans out there. Less than 10 minutes in and Justin Pedroza Sierra realized he had his shooting boots on today, as he hit an absolute rocket into the top-left corner to set up the attitude for today's match. Suimede had a decent shot on target from Juangél Ureña from an angle, but Mateo Zayas Chavarría was in position to make the saves. Not too much later, the lead would double as Osito was shown to be on a mission. First came a strong header from a speedy cross whipped in by Primitivo, then, just a few minutes later, Osito got the ball with his back to goal, played the one-touch to Thiago Montilla, and immediately received the ball back and hit it to Carmelo Peko's far left. Thankfully, just before the half-time whistle, Vudǒ Cuakhede powered in a goal to bring it within two from a wise Maurinho lob, but this would show to just be consolation. Græntfjaller-Verdean central mid Kristjana Eiríksdóttir got on the scoresheet, as she rebounded a miss off the post from Ángel Rafael Reyes Bregmann to put the game at 4-1. It wouldn't quite stop there, as earlier assister Primitivo followed a one-two from Osito, and put in the 5th goal for the Greens. A poor run of performances for Suimede, that's for sure, back to you Paul."

You're sleeping now on the living room couch you've barely moved from, drooling a little, with an ice pack on your forehead and a half-empty bowl of quick ramen you made laid on your chest. There's a little spillage there, and if you had spoken better English, you'd likely have been crying yourself to sleep right now. I mean watching the goals go in half-asleep was bad enough as it is, and you don't even care about football. What's the point of sport anyway? Ironically, your mother is now the one calling you unreceived, about the dinner, but you left your phone on silent. It sure doesn't feel like a Friday night in Capolel, the "City of Imagination." Life's good.

By the third decade of Chosen football, everyone was ready for superstars to take over. The twenty-first season would be categorized by the absolute dominance of Aliénor Dumont. Croiser and she were able to put up the season of all seasons - a record of 26-9-1, 87 points, and only three goals allowed. The gap of thirty points is the biggest in Chosen history, to this day.The following offseason, it would come to light that there was some matchfixing going on during the season. Four referees were sent to the Portal to atone, and there were lengthy discussions about how the title should be handled. It was decided that the six matches that the four referees had been in charge of weren't enough to take away the title. The biggest surprise? That they lost to Marquée in penalties and that for one day, Duran Marc was better than Dumont. Dumont would say that it was a very important season in her long and decorated career.

By Season 22, Croiser was absolutely in gear. It wasn't as dominant of a season as before, but the outcome was never in doubt. On the other hand, Clarice Beau... Wasted a season's Botte Dorée playing for the eighth placed team in the Ligue. After this season, sweeping reforms hit the Ligue. Trades would be allowed in between seasons and after the second round robin. There will be a four week break between the second and third rounds to accommodate for the midseason trading deadline. Also, the people that sponsor each team will only be allowed to contribute to half of the funds being funneled in, meaning that unless they could find someone else to bankroll the other half, they could not build superteams any longer.

Ailes is an interesting team. They're like Chevaliers, but they're not - Ailes has relations to the military elite, while Chevaliers are headed by one specific General. For Season 23, in a season where fourteen points separated teams from first through tenth place, Ailes relied on CM Jean Valle, RM Kane Ailler, and RB Rea Laille to control the pace of most games. It was the most ridiculous season on the books - four points between first and sixth place? Seriously? Statisticians would argue that the likelihood of this happening is almost impossible; the actuality was a very entertaining end to the season.

The rest of the seasons would have some interesting happenings. First, Aliénor Dumont was an absolute stud. The Croiser Goalkeeper won nine Gant Dorés in the ten seasons, which made it ten Gant Dorés since her arrival in the Ligue Légère; Second, Abigail Reese and and Clarice Beau were the best strikers of the decade. Clarice Beau toiled away at Lumière while the team struggled, while Abigail Reese helped Fidèle to a title before being snatched by Lumière after Clarice Beau had to call her career quits. Last, it was the decade of close seasons. Season 23 and Season 25 were impossibly close to the point where Croiser's winning the cup from ninth place wasn't too much of a surprise in Season 25; Season 26 went down to the last matchday to decide between Étoile and Fidèle; Season 28 had three points separate between first and third place, and Season 30 had three teams finish tied in points, decided by Goal Differential.

By the end of the third decade, Croiser had the lead in titles with eight and in Cups with seven. The Church reigns supreme.

A Record To Be Kept

Atheara ends their Matchday against Revlona with an emphathetic score of 3 - 0. Being the only team in the 75th Baptism of Fire to go unbeaten and not concede a single goal in the Group Bracket.

Atheara made a bit of a change before the match. Mugel Krygorf will be on the bench, Joseph Highland begins in the first half and Krusser Isles will play in the second half. On minute 56, Fabian Nagerdortch replaces Urusov Cantonian - Myords. Atheara also decides to use the same playstyle they used against Kannap, resulting with Atheara having 8 shots in the first half and 7 in the second compared to Revlona's 6 and 5.

Passing was quite equal, with Atheara having 74% completion and Revlona having 76%. Once again just like Kannap, since Revlona has no public information about their roster i will have to go with a basis on what had happened during the match between Atheara and Revlona. If they had their rosters announced my job would be slightly more easier.

Alright, First Half. Minute 12 and we start with a Yellow Card from Zimmerman Brusteric with a not so soft tackle from him, and he also gets a warning. Not looking good for Atheara at the beginning. Minute 23, Luis Frawning charges the center with Toriff Hicosia Algeer, rushing through Revlona Defenders. Luis made the shot and hits the crossbar, and a re-direct header from Toriff results in Goal 1. Minute 38, a Corner sent by Toriff, it aims at the center of the box. Almost the entirety of the Athearan Midfield went forward, and a Header from Evan Osterric - Hugens! Goal 2 for Atheara.

The Second Half was not as interesting as the First, Goal 3 on the 79th Minute, a fake past the Goalkeeper by Luis and he immediately shoots it at the open net. It seems he also did a celebration dance right there. That pretty much sums up the Match between Atheara and Revlona, there is still one more Matchday where Atheara gets a bye to the next round.

We await the Ro16.

6 goals, 3 red cards and a half dozen yellows: now this was St Trinian football. Essie Gardner received a yellow card for hacking down Alberto García, and immediately turned it into a yellow by shoving the referee. That was in the opening ten minutes, and St Trinians were a player down. That didn’t matter, as the St Trinians onslaught was effective at keeping the ball down the other end. Granger was hammering the ball as usual, and while most were wild, poor Domingo Ramirez copped numerous balls to the body. Eventually something had to give, and it was Granger who opened the account, taking a header off an excellent whipped cross from Ilsa De Grandhomme. The first brought a second soon after, courtesy of a mid-range rocket from Temperance Porter, and then a third when Granger found the mark.
Deniria scored after Fabio Moranco sidestepped around Trinity Wollenstone. Trinity had replaced Frankie Tipton, who was still recovering in hospital following a massive drug overdose. Wollenstone’s response to being juked was to throw out an arm, which connected with Moranco and sent him flying. An instant red card, and Beckett was unable to stop Moranco’s penalty. Soon after, the first half came to an end with the socre 3-1. St Trinians were two goals up, but were short on players. Head coach Amy Pepperpot addressed her team.

“Keep that ball away from our end. I don’t want to see Millie have to do anything for the rest of the game. Just keep hammering their goal. Alyson, do you think you could possibly try to control the ball and not just hoof it away every time?”
“Hey, I’ve scored more than anyone!”
Amy sighed. “You’ve had like, twenty shots or something? About 5 of those have been at the goal. Even with the two that went in, that’s not a good rate of return.”
Amy quickly raised a hand to cut off any protest. Best not to let the big forward get riled up.
“Dottie, I’m moving you up to cover Trinity’s slot. Nonie, that means you’re covering across the box. Just another reason for you girls to keep the ball up that end.”
She checked her watch, then held out her hand palm down. “Let’s go ladies,” she said, as the rest of the team placed their hand atop hers. It was a ritual Amy had observed in the training videos she’d watched. She wasn’t sure what it was meant to do, but the girls seemed to like the idea.
“Who’s the best?” She asked.
“We are!” came the response from the team, “St Trinians!”

The second half started strongly for St Trinians, with Speight combining well with Appleton for simple one-two in front of goal that gave Speight the simplest of tap-ins. After that though, the goals seemed to dry up though, and frustration set in as shot after shot went sailing past the post, or straight into defenders. It boiled over when Miracle Butler tried and failed to thread the ball through to a heavily marked Granger, despite Speight having a clear path on goal. Speight was not happy, and screamed a long string of obscenities into Miracle’s face.
Miracles responded with an insult of her own. “What the fuck did you call me, you cheap bitch?”
Thonk.
That was the sound of Elisabeth’s fist colliding with Miracle’s head. Miracle recovered enough to grab Speight by the throat, and their might have been need of an ambulance if the rest of the team had not intervened.

The incident left a curious conundrum for the referee. Under normal circumstances, it would have been a clear red card. But both players were on the same team, which raised an interesting question. After all, the foul had been by St Trinians, against St Trinians, which rather cancelled each other out. With no foul, was a card warranted? In the end, the ref decided not to award any penalty. But it left Amy Pepperpot with a conundrum of her own. With two players fighting, the team dynamic was compromised, and logic dictated that one of them come off the field. But who to pull? Miracle was the rich kid who paid to be on the team and had an army of social media fans ready to scream outrage, while Speight was the player almost nobody wanted. Politically, it was a no-brainer. But this was meant to be about football, not politics. Elisabeth was the best striker on the team, and the mistake had been Miracle’s; she should have passed to Speight.
“Fuck it.” Said Amy to herself, and pulled Miracle. As Miracle came off, she ungratefully patted Gwendolyn Temple on the back and shot her coach a dirty look. Amy couldn’t help wonder just how much trouble she’d gotten herself into.

There was perhaps some hope for Amy, with Speight justifying the decision with her second goal, an excellent placed volley into the top corner. Deniria would score again, Moranco getting around the undermanned defence and past Butler. But it was too little, too late, as the St Trinians continued to pile on the pressure. A final goal in the late stages sealed the fates of both teams, Appleton adding her name to the scorebook. Even a third red card, awarded in the dying minutes to De Grandhomme, could not put the damper on what had been a resounding St Trinians victory.

Baptism of Fire

Port Grenville
SREDNJACI FANS : 18.000

St Trinians vs 1: 0 Srednjaci

Frustration for fans and spectators

Since the team Srednjaci has already secured the second round of the competition, the national team coach Hrvoje Tatomir gave more opportunities to the players from the bench. Of course, this caused a wave of indignation among some fans because they came from Srednjaci to see the stars of our football.
In addition to causing frustration among the fans, Hrvoje Tatomir also lost the game. All women's team St. Trinianswas better and they won 1: 0.

SREDNJACI TIMES
Unseen tactics so far in the championship. Report a team that has never played 4-4-2! Besides, leaving the whole match on the bench Tavano, Matković, Tomljanović and Zimmer is crazy! Lozančić can not scoar even a goal is empty and Valentino Rocca can't throw the ball into the space! The only bright spot was Olga Vukovic who controlled the middle of the field!

KATANIJA DAILY
On the field Olga Vuković and Ivana Žimić against St. Trinians! Of course the two of them played well, the woman knows the woman best. The others were pale and so was the result. Perica Lozančić hits the post and the crossbar, he just can't hit. Ivan Županović also fit into the gray and he failed to hit anything. Olga controlled the center of the field and sent too good balls, but the attack didn't materialize. It is a disappointment that the main players did not enter at the moment.

ANTONIJA RUŽIĆ - best handball player in Srednjaci, Winner of Master League
I came to support our players. I'm here for the first time. We are located in Centralis and it is really beautiful. I didn’t expect another team to come out but it’s the coach’s decision. I think he wanted to spare the main players for the knock out phase. Despite the defeat, this team did not play badly either, moreover, they had a chance but no luck. I believe in them.

Recovery
Naufre 2 - 4 Eshialand

That night, the Owls were unsure of whether they would be able to win this game. Was it against a team that hadn't scored a single goal? Yes. Did their opponent lose 2-0 to a team they handily beat 3-1? Sure, but after that game against Ventro, playing a team they had almost on information on was a scary prospect. Thank goodness they were playing in Centralis, the very same Centralis that had fallen in love with Owls soccer two games ago... many of the fans at Olympic Stadium that night would be the very same fans from the first game, cheering for Eshialand as if they were the home team...

That's not to say that Olympic Stadium wasn't truly terrifying, because it absolutely was. 102,973 fans packed at standing room only would freak any team out...

As the clock started, Eshialand wasn't off to the best start. As early as the seventh minute, a Naufrean midfielder punched through all of the Owls' defenses to put one past Christian Meers... Naufre's first goal of the tournament. 1-0.

Coach Morgan was understandably mad that his goalkeeper allowed a goal against a team that he previously thought didn't know how to score a goal, but what other option did he have? Alexander Kolek didn't feel up to playing yet, and Elizabeth Michaels was a 21-year-old rookie, who he couldn't really trust to win a must-win game like this one. And who knows, maybe Meers would find his form later on?

In the 20th minute, a Naufre header was redirected by Dominique LaPlante, straight to Melissa Carey. Seeing her golden opportunity, she and Avery MacDougall started passing back and forth, evading the Naufrean defenses as they did so, until one final pass was made from Carey to Steven Lachey, who shot it right into the top corner for the goal. 1-1.

Naufre struck back in the 43rd minute, with a pretty standard goal. Good passing, good shooting, good soccer. No goofs from Eshialand, just a decent team making a decent play. 2-1.

Coach just about flipped his lid after this goal. Eshialand was about to go into the second half down a goal in a must-win game against a team with a perfect losing record! How embarrassing! Where was that chemistry the team had in training? I mean, you could see it when the Owls scored that goal, but the rest of the time, it just wasn't there!

Coach decided to give his team a pep talk, hoping to spark something in his team: "Look, I know that this isn't training. I know that there are a hundred thousand screaming fans out there who seem like they want to do nothing more than psych you out. I get it, I've played stressful games before. But what I saw in training these past few days tells me that you can overcome it. What I saw was a team that was far better than the sum of its parts. If you play like that team, win or lose, you'll do your country proud. You'll make me proud. You'll make the whole world proud. Now, let's go out there and show Naufre how real soccer is played!"

Something about that pep talk worked, because after that, the Owls played a locked-down defense, a dynamic midfield, and an electric offense, which all worked in perfect harmony. The second half of that game was Eshialand's best 45 minutes of soccer so far that tournament.

It all started in the 56th minute: Christian Meers made a beautiful save and got the ball to Lysander Moore, who got past Naufre's midfielders and passed it on to Carey. Carey then got the ball to Alyssa Longfield, who broke past Naufre's defenses, and then passed it to Jacob Harran, who scored the equalizer. 2-2.

The go-ahead goal came in the 62nd minute, off of a Harran penalty kick, and a beautiful penalty kick at that, lasered into the bottom left corner of the net. It was his second goal of the game and fourth of the tournament. 2-3.

Lastly, in the 85th minute, a beautiful passing chain from LaPlante to Moore to Carey to Lachey resulted in Lachey scoring his second of the game, which tipped off of the goalie's right had on the way in. Had the goalkeeper started moving just a little bit sooner, or the ball been shot just a little bit farther to Lachey's left, it would've been saved, but it wasn't. 2-4.

The Owls had done it. They had played as one and finished the game strong. The fans in the stadium were absolutely loving it, screaming their heads off by the time it was 2-3. Did they care though? Not really. It was the fans at home who mattered, and they were loving it too.

After the game, the king made an important announcement. He would be funding a new home stadium, capacity 75,000, in the heart of Eshialand City, where the Owls could play their World Cup Qualifying home games in. The team more than deserved it.

Coach: "That first half had me worried, but this team did a great job recovering. I wouldn't doubt the fact that they can easily beat Sonindia if they keep playing this well."

Steven Lachey: "Coach's pep talk really set us straight. We were going in a bad direction, and we needed to straighten up and fly right. I think we did that quite well myself."

Jacob Harran: "Playing with a good, coherent team feels fundamentally different than playing with a sloppy team. You can actually feel the chemistry on the inside, and I really felt it in that second half."

"Hello and welcome back to ENN Tournament Report, I'm your host Alana Markai. The last six games in Electrum have been absolutely monumental, so let's look at what they mean for the playoff race."

Naufre 2 - 4 Eshialand
"With this win, the Owls haven't quite clinched a playoff spot, but it's all but assured, as all they need is either a draw against Sonindia or basically anything to go their way on the final night to punch their ticket. As for Naufre, this loss cements the inevitable: they won't be moving on to the round of 16."

The united states of sonindia 3 - 3 Aut-Ves-Nat
"Sonindia used this game to prove that they still have some fight in them yet, drawing against group leaders Aut-Ves-Nat and barely clinging on to their hopes of advancing. As for Aut-Ves-Nat, they haven't secured a spot yet, but just like Eshialand, they're almost safe moving into their bye day."

Deniria 0 - 2 Istoreya
"This game was a must-win for both teams, who each had zero points going into it, and Istoreya coming out on top ends Deniria's hopes of Baptism glory. Oddly enough, Istoreya may still have a chance, but they'll have to play powerhouse St. Trinian's in their last game, whereas rivals Le Choix will be playing... Deniria."

St. Trinian's 1 - 0 Srednjaci
"The girls of St. Trinian's have ended Srednjaci's hopes of a perfect group stage, though they themselves haven't quite qualified for the knockouts, but it is all but guaranteed.

Grandistania 0 - 2 Montana Verde
"With this win, Montana Verde is all but guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, but Grandistania is still very much in wild-card contention, with their upcoming game against Suimede likely being the deciding factor as to whether they make it or not."

Bigtopian Isles 0 - 2 Sahuarita
"One team that will finish the group stage with a perfect record is Sahuarita, whose win over Bigtopian Isles put them at 4-0-0 with an aggregate score of 9-2. This game also ends the championship hopes of the winless Bigtopian Isles, who have only scored one goal across their first three games."

"Thanks for watching ENN Tournament Report, I've been Alana Markai."

RP : This is not going to go well Sports Experts Warn

Postby Innovative » Tue Apr 20, 2021 6:31 am

After the result of a 4-way tie in the group 1 playing, with only one nation disqualified and eliminated, Sports experts in innovative rush to prepare the team for a wild roller coaster of tie breaks and slips. “ This dosen’t seem good, anyone can win or be eliminated anytime in the group, especially when their is a tie “.
The day before the warning by experts, Innovative players played Brookistan players, which both teams were very skilled in football and both of them put a strong match. It ended with a 50/50, no one really gained anything from that hard match. Innovative and Brook hooded hands and left the field.

The plane coming down to land in Electrum had faced some nasty turbulence on the way in. No-one inside knew it as the time, but the rocky trip was foreshadowing for the road ahead for the Istoreyan team.

At Port Grenville, bad weather had been predicted. That should have worked in the Istoreyan's favour, as they were more than used to playing during the rainy season in their roofless home stadium. But by the time they got there, no rain fell, and it was a warm, sunny day, unusual for the seaside city. Having brought their wet-weather A-game that went to waste, the Istoreyan team lost 2-0 to Srednjaci.

Istoreya wasn't lined up to play during Matchday 2, which gave them a chance to look back at the game and talk about what went wrong, and prepare themselves for another surprise should they once again find no rain in the rainy region where Agri, the next city they would play at, was situated. The game was against Le Choix, and no rain came. Once again, Istoreya lost 0-1.

The next day in Hamilton, Istoreya was to face off Deniria in the Hamilton Multi-Purpose venue. Up until this point, the team made a point of staying away from the media's eyes, which is unsurprising given the amount of tension they were under. That broke though when, that morning, manager Giannis Demakis was caught on camera being grumpy with a waitress in a cafe after he found they did not serve his favourite of ginger tea. Some people defended him on Twitter, claiming he is under stress and jetlagged, while others posted wishes for the team to lose yet again as a punishment for the manager's actions.

That did not happen, however, as Bo Ribbin scored two goals again the Deniria team, and Archie Gentell did a fantastic job of blocking out three potential goals from the forward player, Fabio Moranco. This left them with their first win of the Baptism of Fire with a total of three points.

With one more match of the group stage against St Trinians, we can only hope this win might have put back the spring in our boys' steps as they go to face off some rather angry women on the football pitch. Maybe Bo Ribbin can muster up some of his well-known aggression to match theirs and pull through another great win like he did in Hamilton.

After passing the examination from Electrum's Doping Testing Authority and taking a short break from playing, the Watermelon Warriors, (Bunkaiian national team) decided to do some exploring of the host nations of Electrum and Reçueçn.
After meeting the bear-king Einarsson and taking a photo-op with him, the Bunkaiian national team spent most of the afternoon in Electrum trying to understand how a time warp affected the entire nation and visiting the capital city is Centralis. They thoroughly enjoyed the pacifist nature of the Electrum citizenry as it was reminiscent of their own pacifist national identity.

For dinner, they arrived in Reçueçn and spent most of the evening searching for food without cheese, meat or gluten. Due to Bunkaiia's mandatory vegan and gluten-free diet it was particularly hard to find a filling meal.
The team did enjoy the evening stroll after dinner through the beautiful cobbled alley-filled downtown historic district of Reçueçn with a guided walking tour and translator.

Back to training......

Aut-Ves-National Report Madatory reading.

Two matches have happened since the last update from the best boaty bunch of bearth. The AVN team defeated Naufre, who will not be advancing to the knockout stages. Tragedy struck in that Naufre matchup, as Tall Pete Jr's Achilles tendon snapped. The green rubber hose like tendon exited Tall Pete's body and sliced open an opposing player's knee. Blood mixed with what appeared to be hydraulic fluid, but was most definitely blood. "That's what they get for not filing paperwork about their roster that I could find" Marcozy said celebrating the victory with a sip of gin. With three more points, another win could help the Aut-Ves-Nat team get it's destiny. After the draw result John Opie's eyes produced a projection of a heart while he sand a love song to Temperance Porter.

Oh, we also scored three goals in a half hour against The united states of sonindia. The united states of sonindia played well, however The united states of sonindia could not defeat a team with an abbreviated name. Quan Ding recorded his first brace for the side, while a header gave Kaga Vibe his first ever goal. Sadly a last minute form The united states of sonindia's player John smith [ERROR, UNFINISHED SENTENCE]. One social meidia posted from the longly named Zeta Reka and Hugeltaldom stated that "players from The united states of sonindia have funny names. All Eight and a half of them that I could notice anyhow." Julia Prawiro said online that they were disappointed, mr/ms/mx "and we are getting more players for the game" did not play.

DRAGONS QUALIFY FOR BAPTISM OF FIRE KNOCKOUT STAGES

For 20 years Galeannan football lovers have anticipated for the moment they would see the Dragons play in international tournaments and multiverse tournaments such as the Melayu Cup, Baptism of Fire (BOF) and the World Cup. The opportunity finally came in this edition of the BOF. However, Galeanna’s journey in the BOF was threatened pretty early when a resilient defensive Atheara prevented the Dragons from starting in glory. Galeannan football fans had to wait for match day 2 for a goals and a win.
In the second match Galeanna players were hungry for goals and made it known in within the first 20 minutes of the game against Talkasa by scoring 2 goals. The first goal came from Ziwani born Galeannan, Patrick Davey Mwaluweni after converting a Nathan Wood Cross in the 9 minute. The second goal came minutes later when Galeannan Striker, George Smith intercepted a Talkasa pass and placed the ball into the back of the net to put the Dragons 2 up.

The first half of the game exposed Galeannan defensive problems with Talkasa being able to cut up the Dragons defence with ease on several occasions leading to their comeback. With match at a stalemate after 45 minutes, the Dragons were weary of another draw as this would effectively knock them out of the BOF competition. It took a last minute Jayden Reeves goal to avoid this and keep the Dragons BOF hopes alive.

After the match Ferguson the Galeannan National Team Manager was in high spirits and in his post-match interview said that he was happy with the amount of goals the team was scoring and believed that games would be won by scoring a lot of goals, however, the team also needed to avoid having the opposition score against them and warned the Dragons defence to tighten up or risk having Galeanna go home early.
Galeanna were able to qualify for the knockout stages in match day 4 against Kannap. The Dragons had an incredible first half scoring four goals. They completely overwhelmed their opponents with a hat trick from George Smith and a goal from the penalty spot from Jayden Smith. Kannap seeing their BOF dreams getting flushed down the drain came in full force in the second half, playing with fury and passion. The Dragons defensive problems were able to give Kannap dignity as the Galeannans let in 3 goals. The second half was truly very nerve wracking for Galeannan fans and the technical panel. After the final whistle celebration all around the stadium were in motion, 12000 Galeannan supporters had travelled to watch the game.

After the game, Ferguson said that he was happy with the lads for the qualification into the BOF knockout stages but was incredibly disappointed that the defence almost spoiled the match. He promised fans that the team would be working together towards strengthening its defence starting with the final match of the group.

Marigred Senior Camp Report
Day 3 Baptism of Fire 75

"THE MARIGRED ATTACK LINE FAILED TO PENETRATE THE TOLANKA DEFENSE FORTRESS, DETERMINE SUCCESS IN THE LAST MATCH"

Zimmerich, Recuecn (June 19 2100)--Marigred and Tolanka same level as both scoreless when both team facing each other in matchday 3 Group C Bof 75. Both them failed to break opponents defense and will now have a hard job at the final matchday of the group C.

Mordel after the match said to the press, he satisfied with the result but still hope this match will end to his side.

"I dont know how to say about this match. I happy with my defensive department but quite dissapointed with the attacking side. I must say this because i cannot complete my foundation of this team. The foundation i try create with this team is starting with a solid defensive side up to the the ability to score goals. In the match against Gergary, Sendhang, and even this match, i will say we have started our foundation at the back but not the front. Ofcourse i have to concern a bit as we are in tight situation. If we cannot improve out scoring ability, are we just gonna try hard for scoreless draw. It not like our opponet will remain the same every match."

"I appreciate our attacker try hard to get a goal. I know how frustrated they are. For now i will play my role as a manager to rise their morale before our final match against Bunkaiia. Win or out, that's the only option. For now,the morale of the player need to be good. One day gap before next game i will use properly. We will win against them."

After lose to Sendhang in second match, Mordel made a few change. It all not because of so-so performance against Sendhang, but also include fitness, injury and risk. Antez subbed out against sendhang, will be replaced by Olishia in CB, while Deana come up with a cold and replaced by Juelle. After two full match, the fitness concern raise as Mordel decide to take out Taylen and Wakee and put Iveanna and Itrez in the game. After two unconvinced performance, Zima will be replaced by veteren striker, Aquintis.

Come to this match with a desire to bounce back after down when facing Sendhang, Mordel put more attacking role for his player. Most of the player will play attack to help striker scoring a goal. However, luck seem to play a big role as one after another chance created by this team failed whether the ball goes wide or straight to the keeper. PoTM can be given to Tolanka GK as he perform well denied all attack from Marigred. Not much attack made by Tolanka as they totally come to this match with very defensive gameplay.

Needing for the goal, Mordel stand up after 58th minute and make double change, take out Aquintis and Anjawon, and put Shovon and Erickah in. However, it useless. Nothing change, all the attack still failed to reach their net. Mordel said in his press, "when your team have lot of chance but none are goal,it really annoyed. I have nothing problem with their defensive playstyle even look like all their player will be in their own area when we come. That's their art,so let not touch about that. I really never thought our luck this tiny. It make me feel annoyed but sometime want to laugh after one by one chance slip away." The final whistle end the match with a draw 0-0.

Marigred control the possession 73%, make total 13 shot but only 5 on target. The part that will need more attention by Mordel. Now, Bunkaiia will be the last opponet. The match which take place on June 20, tomorrow will be the important match, not just for Marigred but for all the team in Group C. The decider. Mordel no more than just hoping his best X1 available for the big match tomortow. Win or lose, this is the decider.

I - II - III - IV - V - VI

VII
INTERNATIONAL DEBUT

The first half between Marigred and Sendhang was all Marigred's. Sendhang was lucky to still be level on the break.

As usual, the starting eleven went to the dressing room at the break while the substitutes were left on the field to warm up just in case they are needed for the match in the second half. Salahuddin's morale was down. At this time, he thought it will be just another 90 minutes on the bench.

But then the physio came out of the dressing room and called Salahuddin, Wedhus, and Ramon who were warming up in the middle of the pitch with the rest of the substitutes.

"You guys are on," said the physio as the 4 were walking back to the dressing room.

Salahuddin can't quite believe it but he was excited. He was about to make his international debut. The 3 players were brought on at the start of the second half, triple substitutions. Salahuddin replaced Keylar Samoi and played on the left-wing.

The substitutions worked as Sendhang came back from the break with more intensity and dominated the second half. It was not until the final moment when Gusti Sing Nggawe scored the winning goal for Sendhang with a thunderous shot from outside of the box. Sendhang won the match 1-0, their first victory in the 75th Baptism of Fire.

Salahuddin did not have a marvelous game, he did nothing of note during the game but he was happy. He had just made his debut and Sendhang won.

For the next few days, Syarkawi continued to train with the line-up that they used in the second half against Marigred. Salahuddin thought he will start this time against Gergary in Sendhang's last group match. But no, Syarkawi again used the same starting eleven as before. Salahuddin once again started from the bench.

The match was level at the break, just like the match against Marigred. And as usual, the starting eleven went to the dressing room at the break while the substitutes were left on the field to warm up just in case they are needed for the match in the second half.

Salahuddin's eyes were glued to the tunnel as they warm up with the hope that somebody from the dressing room will come out and call him to get ready. But that didn't happen. There was no repeat of Marigred's match. He stayed on the bench for the whole 90 minutes and the match ended in a goalless draw.

On the flight to Hamilton after the win against Naufre, Coach Morgan once again discussed the roster, as was now customary. Alexander Kolek wasn't feeling up to playing against Sonindia, so Coach decided to use the same roster that he used in the game against Naufre. They did well, despite the two goals Naufre scored. The problems they had were confined to the first half, so it must have just been a problem with their chemistry in training not transferring to the game. They worked out the kinks in the second half, so everything looked good.

After arriving in Hamilton, the team found themselves sweltering in the heat. There was no way they were training in 33° Celsius weather without dying of exhaustion, so the team mostly spent the days hanging out in their rooms... except for one.

It was the second day after they arrived, and the team decided that they would go to Honey Boulevard and try their luck at the casinos. Most people just wound up losing money... except for Sarah Silver.

Silver was oddly lucky, tearing up the blackjack table. They say that blackjack is mostly math... well, whatever math that was, Silver was a genius at it. She started at 20 Synergies, and just kept winning. Soon, the whole team found themselves enthralled at her win streak. Sure, she lost a few hands, but it all averaged out when compared to the money she was winning. By the time she decided to cash out (or at least, as close as you can get to cashing out when cash isn't really a thing), she had over 1,000 Synergies, quite the win when compared to the 20 she started with. What did she do with the money? She treated everyone to a nice meal.

Each night after the sun set on the city, the Owls started training. These training sessions were mainly general sessions designed to keep the team sharp, though there was some special training for Christian Meers, since they couldn't have him allowing any more goals.

The team was in an interesting position playoff-wise: all they needed was a draw to move on to the knockouts. When Coach told the team about that fact, however, he was met with a resounding "so? We're still going to win if we can, right?". This team wasn't going to settle. That's not how they played. They didn't care if they win, but they'd never settle for subpar play, no matter what.

Then, the night of the game came around. The Owls stepped out onto the field at the Hamilton Multi-Purpose Venue, knowing full well what this game meant. This was the last game of qualifying, and it could be the last game of their tournament if they didn't do well enough. Hopefully, they'd get to play just one more...
