Cool, link us to the Discord whenever you are ready to do so...
Oh, and don't limit yourself unless you are sure that is what you want to go with. As, RP imo is best when you've got a character you can personally feel invested in...

If a Dragonborn is what you want, all's good.

Honestly, I liked the Dragonborn leader more and have a solid idea of what I want to make then with the previous elf leader

Yeah, I thought about dragonborn as a second character but I think I'll be content with Hugh

I usually play magical characters, and I want to play one again but I made Ash my main because I wanted to change things up a bit cuz she's different than what I usually play. I'm most looking forward to her dynamic with Sim, monarch who's Too Ditzy To Live with his Done With Everything lady knight/babysitter has always been one of the most fun dynamics for me. So if I make a second character, they'll be the magic character.

Hmmmm...
Since when was it possible to have two or more characters?
No judge, of course, but I'm curious...

Nah, I'd be sticking to my Elf, I believe.

If allowed, i'll likely post a character in a day or two.

Currently mixing ideas between just a human warrior / spellsword or a dwarven mercenary or "Runesmith" type character.

Apparently, people want more race variety, so a Dwarf is something some people would want...

Though, don't force yourself to pick a Dwarf if you don't feel comfortable with it, okay?

Personally, Dwarf has never really appealed to me...
I don't play fantasy to be play an industrious species, you know?

Not that it's bad, just personal preference.

Name: Ruiner Drukiin
Race: Dwarf
Gender: Male
Age: 53
Appearance:
Image
Magical Ability: N
Magic Specialization: N/a
Skills: Drukiin is a wanderer; a scholar knowledgeable in the Old History of the world. He has skills in geology, botany, biology and especially history and linguistics. Before the Rot began to set in, he travelled the world in search of truth and artefacts of the Ancient Times. At the End, he and a galley of survivors managed to find their way to the Gate. He is an experienced traveller in the far and desolate reaches of the world.
Equipment: Digging and measuring equipment, various empty scrolls for taking notes, a few ancient artefacts he has not managed to store anywhere before going through the gate. He is not accustomed to combat and thus wears no armour and no weapon beside his pickaxe. He also carries a few glass jars for collecting species. Most useful are his hand-held telescope and his compass, an ancient Dwarven relic.
Weakness: Drukiin is absolutely no fighter, and can lose himself in his interests, not realising that either the person or the situation does not call for a conversation on the subject.
Background: Drukiin hails from the Dwarven realm of Katau, which once used to be a wealthy kingdom. Situated at the slopes and in the caverns of a semi-dormant volcano, the Dwarves of Katau used the heat of the magma flows and the resources of the volcanic rock to forge beautiful items. While other forges created weapons, the smiths of Katau made the most beautiful jewelry and ornaments in the world. Their wealth came from the trade of their crafts, and from the forges of Katau came a few of the lost treasures of the world: the Golden Prow of the Hilat-Emperor's flagship, for instance, and the silver garden of the Divine High Priestesses of Malovanin.

Drukiin was never to be a blacksmith: he had neither the interest nor was he born into a lineage prestigious enough to work the Core Forge. While known for their craftsmanship, the kingdom of Katau of course was not just made of craftsmen; people needed to eat as well, and the kingdom needed to be managed. Drukiin, hailing from a family of grape farmers, was lucky enough to earn himself a spot at the Academy Administrative: the university which prepared young dwarves for the bureaucracy. Now, while the university had once been a school purely for civil servants, it had more and more widened its net as time progressed. It offered courses in history and geology, all nominally in the name of improving the kingdom, but secretly just for the sheer joy of discovery. Drukiin was taught in all manner of subjects, and was the first Dwarf who managed to convince the Royal Council of Katau to allow him to travel abroad to do research, especially on what had become of so many of their treasures. While the Council was totally disinterested in anything that did not come from Katau, they were curious as to what happened to some of the more ancient treasures that had been exported, and thus, Drukiin was tasked with creating a catalogue of as much as he could.

Because Katau was a kingdom of over a thousand years old, there was an incredible amount of history to dig up, and Drukiin dove into any field that was even tangentally related. He traveled first through the world's centers of learning, discussing subjects with academic peers, but soon he started on expeditions of his own. He rediscovered the Iron Valley Gates, which had been given to the mountain tribes of Prazal as a gift, and which detailed their long and illustrious history. From there on, Drukiin traveled from ancient site to ancient site, less and less concerned with whether there were actually Katau artefacts to be found, only returning when his funds had dried up entirely, but bringing back enough interesting finds so that his contract was renewed.

Katau no longer exists. The semi-dormant volcano erupted with black tar when the Rot made it to its core, drowning the entire civilisation in thick, boiling muck. The Kings of Katau died in the tombs of their forefathers, never wanting to abandon their heritage. Some fled, and even fewer made it out entirely. Drukiin happened to be abroad when it happened; he sailed to the island kingdom only to find the waters impenetrable. He gathered what survivors he could and took them to the place where the fabled Gate was being constructed. There, he volunteered for the Pathfinders.

Optional Info
Likes: History, languages, cultures, natural beauty
Dislikes: Disinterest, racism, lack of curiosity
Personality: Drukiin is above all curious and hungry for more knowledge, but also an avid listener and interested in people and their personal stories. He would rather read the life and times of a farmer than the history of some ancient, long-gone empire.
Family: Most of his Clan died on the slopes of Katau, having nowhere to go and no boat to escape the island with. Only his sister, one of the Royal Guard, and her children, his nieces and nephews, made it out.
Motivation for Joining: Curiosity about the new world, but also a sense of duty to all the peoples of the world to find a safe haven.

Name: Kaltidir Zornaar
Race: Dragonborn
Gender: Male
Age: 50
Appearance: Kaltidir
Magical Ability: N
Magic Specialization: N/A
Skills: Tracker, Huntsman, Survivalist, Swordsman and Cook
Equipment: Sword, Battle Axe, Knife, Steel armor, Basic supplies(waterskin, rations etc...), and a special Crimson Slayer pendant that belonged to his parents.
Weakness: Too protective, Too cautious, and an old scar over his right eye that hurts if stuck and sometimes hurts on its own.

Background: Kaltidir was born in the Dragonborn kingdom of Reshen to Krostil and Valxial Zornaar. A pair of retired monster hunters that used to belong to the venerable Crimson Slayers. A monster-hunting guild that has been around for several centuries. Growing up, Kaltidir and his siblings would hear stories of his parents' exploits from their time in the guild. Eventually, Kaltidir decided that he wanted to be just like his parents. Something that his parents were hesitant at first as they wanted to make that he joined for the right reason. For not for the glory but for the same reason they joined. To help and protect people from monsters that normal folk can't deal with. A reason that Kaltidir took to heart, and his parent started training him when he was old enough to prepare.

When Kaltidir was old enough, he traveled to the Crimson Slayers headquarters, a keep named the Slayers Rest, and asked to join them. Though his parents were notable members of the guild, the Slayers did not give Kaltidir any special treatment, and he was put in with the rest of the new recruits. Before he could officially join, new recruits must pass a series of trials that is overseen by a group of veterans that will gauge whenever they have what it takes to hunt monsters. The trial itself was a simple one. The recruits would undertake a hunt against a low-threat monster to see how they would handle it. Splitting them into groups of four, the veteran overseeing Kaltidir 's group was a female Kossith named Yasar Kardihan. An old veteran that knew his parents and was seeing if Kaltidir could pass as his parents did.

After going through physical tests, and seemly was doing well. Kaltidir's group's last trial was to deal with a monster that was harassing a village and killing its livestock. After locating the monster and almost losing the element of surprise. Kaltidir 's group's rushed forward against the monster. The monster fought more fiercely than expected, and Yasar was tempted to intervene. But, Kaltidir managed to rally the group, and together they slew the beast. Yasar was impressed by the group, mainly by Kaltidir's leadership potential. Heading back other Slayer's Rest, Yasar proudly stated the Kaltidir has passed the trials and was ready to join the Crimson Slayers. Kaltidir was overjoyed that he passed and was thrilled that he was now a Crimson Slayer like his parents. After a ceremony that officially made Kaltidir and the rest of the passing recruits Crimson Slayers. It did not take long before Kaltidir went on missions and felt like a true Slayer.

Years passed Kaltidir and would climb up through the ranks of the Slayers. Up to the point where he was the second only to the grandmaster of the guild by the time he was 40. A great achievement on his part that he was humble about and when the grandmaster died of old age. There was no doubt of who should replace him. Kaltidir accepted the position and became the grandmaster of the Crimson Slayers. A position he held for ten years without trouble, and things seemed bright for the newest grandmaster. But, that would change when Volon's dark magic came into play. Kaltidir was just returning from a hunt when the skies darken, and fierce storms rocked the world. Taking shelter inside the keep but, while the keep was able to protect them from the storms. It could not protect them from violent earthquakes, and the keep was not built to withstand the force, it started to collapse. By the time the quake was over. Half the keep was taken down, and Kaltidir would do his best to save those trapped in the rumble and take stock of what happened.

Then came the Rot that forced him, his family, and the rest of the Slayers towards safety. Though, it pained him to learn that most of his family have been taken by the Rot. Leaving only his wife and two kids left. Kaltidir tried not to give in to despair when it seemed like, despite efforts of the newly formed Aviean Coalition, it was going nowhere. It seemed like they were all set to die with the rest of the planet. The portal was created and had not only successfully connect to another world, but it was a fertile one that offers a way to save who was left. When the Coalition created the Pathfinders, a group to scout out the new world, Kaltidir was among the first to join and when it came about choosing a leader. Kaltidir offered to lead them, citing his experience as the leader of the Crimson Slayers along with the skills that came with it. That and he was qualified to deal with monsters that could be roaming in the new world. With that in mind, the Coalition Council decided on naming him leader of the Pathfinders, and he was quick to act. Quickly organizing what members he had set up shop at the new world base camp. Despite seeing how nothing threaten the base camp or the new settlement that in his option should not have been allowed to happen. Kaltidir was wary of what awaits them in this new world, and he will make sure this world can be the new home for the Avieans even if he has to die for it.

Optional Info
Likes: Nature, Sparring, Sharing a good story and family
Dislikes: Ignorance, Reckless people, Gloryhounds and Spiders
Personality: N/A
Family: Most of his family was wiped out by the Rot, only him, his wife, and two kids are left.
Motivation for Joining: To do his best to safeguard their new home and learn more about this new world.

Nice character there Theyra... I do find it interesting that you left the personality blank... Perhaps you plan to reveal it naturally rather than by expedition, and if so coolio...

Consideration to establish Co-Op Admins?

I personally believe that one single man/woman carrying the burden of an entire RP, especially one so detailed such as yours would be too much for him/her...
That is why I would propose for some of the RP'ers, willing RP'ers of course be promoted to help manage the Roleplay...

I'm sure you can see the benefits, including:

1. People within different timezones with authority to manage the overall health of the RP at different times.
2. (As mentioned above) Burden is shared between more than one person, making for more reliability and less stress.
3. The establishment of a democracy, with all the potential benefits that it could entail...

No pressure, of course, but a suggestion...
One that both me and Skaldia can agree on.
