There is no one NationStates world. NationStates is an omniverse with multiple universes within. This is why you see multiple Americas, Germanies, Russias, and so on.

So, in building a regional role-play, could I get a few canonical name drops?
A notable leader, or nationality, that would start and finish an argument on Twitcher
A notable nation whose leader has no clue what they are doing
A notable two-party state that has no agreement between the two parties

The mention of Twitcher has me assume that KexinNation is asking for pre-existing in-issue names, which was why I asked in the Got Issues? Discord. I know the annoying Twitcher character is Blackacre's supreme leader, at least.

Well, if you want canon, in-issue leaders and nations, then it just so happens I run the list of ingame nations.

1. Blackacre, whose leader is Valeria Drake and literally does this exact thing.
2. (Aside from your own) Nothing concretely established as so, however, there are a couple possibilities: Possibly Bigtopia, and almost definitely Ausblic (they gifted you five thousand fruit baskets). Tasmania's also pretty high up there, and I'm not throwing out the possibility of Zompaboodaland's leader being totally clueless either.
3. Total gridlock state? Easy - we actually have an issue that specifically makes this detail known (1163) about Brancaland! (Though you could also probably use Merovingia, which is based on Belgium, or the United Federation, which... well, hopefully that one's obvious.)

If you're trying to formulate a roleplay thread idea, the RP Think Tank is better for that purpose, but I wouldn't expect anyone to be annoyed at your post here.

Yes. You can also RP it in the International Incidents forum. Either one works.

It's not an exact science, but I would say that unless you're a current participant, don't post if there hasn't been one within the month. If you are a current participant, then it's usually not a gravedig under most circumstances.

I don't particularly imagine that others will have much interest in RPing characters in from your nation discussing internal concepts for you. I can always recommend a "maintenance thread" though, which is basically a solo-RP thread for all the things that might be important but don't really fit in other threads.

You definitely are starting with one big self inflicted strike against you. Basically, you have to have your nation care about an event enough for them to come out isolation to react to. Which you don't want to do right now because nothing is compatible with your lore. You might be waiting a while for something that comes close to your lore if you can't find excuses why your nation could be part of someone else's events.

Or...
You need to create a RP where your nation and its characters are the focus. Perhaps something happens there, where other nations take notice, when up to now, they have not been concerned with your nation due to your isolationist nature. It's a hard sell to anyone outside your region, and probably even within, to join such an RP. I suggest you start an OOC brainstorming thread to see who would join you in such an RP and what compromises you could make so you all get something out of being part of it.
