Your power, fame, wealth, magic, influence and devices are all gone now. It's just you. Normal old you. Well, there are others. The Void: An infinite expanse of horror, darkness and nothingness. Time has no meaning here, neither does distance nor logic. The Void is where all things sprang forth, and where all things shall fade away. The are many horrors that dwell in the Void. Unspeakable beings that seek nothing more than to devour everything in their path. Their forms, movements, and very beings defy all known laws of physics. And above them stand the Void Sentinels. Abstract beings that are akin to gods here in the Void. Their whims are fickle, and care almost nothing about you or any of the other lost souls that fall here. They seem satisfied in their odd and incomprehensible wars with one another. But...
There is hope. You are not entirely defenseless here. Every soul that falls here is give a Word. A Word connect to the very heart of who they are. These words are powerful, but only briefly. When spoken, the word will bring an aspect, a glimmer of it's meaning into the void. Two souls can have the same word, but it's meaning may be entirely different between the two, allowing different aspects to manifest when the word is spoken. However, shortly after being spoken, these aspects too, will fade away. To invoke their word again, one only needs to speak it once more. But do note, you will not be able to speak the words of others, at least not in a way that causes it's aspect to manifest. Use this gift well, and work with each other. Perhaps then, you all will find a way to escape...
