Masks: FOR or AGAINST?

Hello to the Nations of Nationstates,

I would like to start a thread to discuss the big, sometimes controversial topic of masks. Within our world, we are facing the global pandemic that has taken the us by storm. As the leader of your country, where do you stand on the topic of masks? Do you force your citizens to wear them? Do they have a say in the matter? Are there repercussions if they do not comply? Speak your mind in this thread.

WF shut down its borders before COVID hit (nice plot thread dodge, me!!!) and was able to pull that off because it's a small island. It still gets imports and stuff, but no commercial travel.

So, no masks! And it's not like WF would force all citizens to wear one anyway. It's such a small country that there's no point because it would likely spread through the population like a wildfire regardless. And they're not going to force masks/lockdowns for some virtue-signaling political BS, either, because why would it subject its citizens (especially children) to that?

Also, WF's government is about as efficient as I am. In other words, not at all.

Tribal States recognizes the peoples right to decide what they would like to do. For those with poor immunity, concerning health conditions, and those that are elderly the government highly suggests limiting going out. Resources have been made available so they may get things they needs. Places of business are responsible for their employee and customer regulations and only will government intervene when an issue of harmful nature arises. If you are concerned with the chance of getting the virus we recommend you limit exposure to others and apply to get access to government resources helping carry out limited exposure. Healthy persons in their 20-40's should not fear, but simply take extra precautions. Exposure to the virus, research says, is actually good. It helps build immunity and make it harder for you to get sick, because your body now recognizes it. These suggestions are not orders. Choose what you feel comfortable with. We will persevere and overcome this, just as we have in the past.

But as for me, I vote for masks. Nevermind what all the crazy anti-maskers tell you to do, wearing one helps all of us.
