I apologize if this forum post is a tad bit rocky, but I have just formed a GA resolution that isn't just repealing and I was interested in possibly receiving some feedback on how I may be able to change some things to make it better before submitting to GenSec and for Approval. I've had some of my friends in the Discord let me know that my resolution could be duplicating that of GA#35 THE CHARTER OF CIVIL RIGHTS, however, I want to make sure I'm not overriding anything and that I know the correct category and strength to use when submitting.
Stand Against Social Injustice Act
The General Assembly,
Noting that Social Injustice remains widespread, and disproportionately affects Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) as well as Asians and other minorities in our world,
Concerned at the rising levels of hate in many member nations, and the sometimes blatant disregard of hate crimes and basic human rights of minority groups that are not fully recognized by member nations governments,
Recognizing many member nations current laws as aren’t doing enough to or have enough support to push through with reforming current social injustice, as well as better equipping police and security forces to deal with hate crimes,
Further Recognizing many judicial errors and loopholes allowing criminals to engage in hateful behavior becoming an increasingly useful way for said criminals to escape from receiving proper consequences for the crime,
Desiring to target a resolution to better engage the World Assembly in fighting Social Injustice, as well as Social Inequality, on a more widespread global scale to speed to process of reform,
Hereby:
Enforces the World Assembly Committee of Minorities (WACM) to have the goal of developing plans and task forces to help member nations in bettering their fight against Social Injustice and Inequality within their jurisdictions as permitted,
1. Member States must allow citizens to have better access to filing reports on hate crimes, including police reports,
Said reports shall not be undermined or deprioritized by governments, an equal treatment policy shall be enforced allowing a sense of ease so that said individual doesn’t feel mistreated within the legal system,
2. WACM shall retain the authority to overview Member Nations statistics on the Fairness of their Legal System, as well as take action against nations that may still enforce draconian policies that create loopholes for irrational systemic racism within their judicial system, forming further barriers to receiving justice for individuals that witnessed a hate crime.
Member Nations shall form reports on the Fairness of their Legal System every 90 days and report back to the WACM to ensure that systemic inequality and injustice within their legal system remains at a low level and doesn’t come of concern that it may be infringing the rights of certain minorities.
3. The WACM must act where necessary when fighting against systemic injustice and inequality where permitted under WA passed International Laws that don’t overpower the rights of member nations and that don’t override other laws.
This resolution shall also seek too:
1. Initiate a fight against sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, and or transphobic, etc.. wage gaps that also disproportionately affect people of a minority in the workforce and economy...
2. Judicial systems, security forces, and businesses shall not be permitted to reject individuals on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, race, sex, national origin, religion, ancestry, age, marital status, pregnancy, childbirth, related medical conditions, status as a veteran, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected under international law issued by the World Assembly. (Many aforementioned in GA#35 The Charter of Civil Rights.)
3. The WACM shall initiate a task force called The WACM Task Force of Systemic Reformation (WATFSR) that is focused on developing current, as well as future plans in ensuring that member nations are prioritizing and putting up a fair fight against social injustice and inequality. As well as showing great advancement in systemic reformation where necessary.
Hereby establishes The Stand Against Social Injustice Act
