The leader of Gaullica's National Front, Alfred Boulanger, has become one of the few Gaullican politicians to publicly echo the calls made by Weranian Interior Minister Jörg Bullmann over immigration reform. Bullmann, who spoke to NKP supporters in the city of Wiesstadt, claimed that if Weranic immigration policies did not change Werania would fundamentally change through a "demographic extinction".

At a campaign event in Côte Serene, one of the largest cities in the State of Assonaire, Boulanger told the crowd of FN supporters that: "At current rates it isn't a question of it; but of when."

Assonaire has become a battleground for the traditional parties of Gaullican politics, regionalist groups that have recently formed into a singular party to advocate for their interest, and a rapidly rising National Front on the backdrop of fears over the Tsabaran refugee crisis and immigration in general.

He would continue, sparking sharp criticism from politicians from across Gaullica's political parties, by stating that:

"If you look at the demographic trends, if you look at the rates of children migrant families from Coius have, the numbers begin to paint a story. But the numbers may be different between here and Werania, for instance. Minister Bullmann cited some data that says Weranians will become a minority in their own country by 2060, others say later and others say sooner. But these are studies that show it; Gaullica's fertility rate is an outlier among a lot of Eastern Euclea but it is still falling. And there will come a time in the future, that if we don't change the course, like the Weranians we run the risk of becoming a minority in our own country."

Boulanger, like Bullmann, is referencing elements of the white nationalist 'great replacement' conspiracy theory in which there is a supranational, globalist plot to replace the ethnic make up of 'Euclean states' to fit some grand scheme of 'white genocide'. The reference made to Gaullica's fertility rate being an outlier is that as per data gathered in 2018, with the highest Euclean Community rate at 2.1.

On the campaign trail and at FN events in general, Boulanger and his party have advocated for pressuring the Euclean Commission for 'stricter border controls' as well as 'a larger emphasis on Euclean cultural diversity and inter-regional dialogue as opposed to external immigration'.

Mr. Boulanger was quick to distance his remarks from the Tsabaran refugee crisis. He said "if you think I am talking about refugees from war, of course I am not. You are putting words in my mouth. Tsabara needs to be supported to prevent a great refugee crisis; but in the case of one, well, we must do our best to help them fix their situation so they have safe homes to return to. This is not a radical idea."

Yet the most inflammatory remark made by Boulanger was that "what I am saying, at the heart of the issue, is that not that existing immigrants need to leave. That is not it. There needs to be a stronger condition on individuals coming to our country; and those that do must conform to our ways of living and our values. Euclean values." When asked what these meant; Boulanger replied: "democracy, individual liberty, Sotirian values of morality, the respect and support of our traditional linguistic and cultural institutions -- we don't want to see Gaullican become a minority language, we don't want to see our cuisine or our art replaced."

Boulanger's remarks were denounced by members of the LVs, the PSD, the PRCP, the SGIO and the UCT. In a statement made by the PSD, they lambasted Boulanger for seemingly implying that the president herself was not a "true Gaullican".

March 30, 2021 | by Moriyasu Akihabara | The Ministry of Defense has released a statement announcing the expansion of the upcoming "Southern Wind" military drill, held annually in April or May in the eastern Honghai Sea since 1977, amidst rising tensions over the Sunahamas Islands.

Stating that the exercises would commence on Monday, April 5, the statement noted that the number of participating navy squadrons would be increased from three to seven, with some naval assets and vessels regularly stationed in mainland Senria to be temporarily relocated to the Sunahamas in order to participate in the drills. The statement further noted that the number of air wings involved would be increased from two to five.

While the statement attributed the increase in the drill's size to "the results of regular reviews of military readiness and flexibility", it is suspected that the decision comes amidst rising tensions between Senria and Xiaodong over Senrian ownership of the islands. While control of the islands was awarded to Senria after the Great War in recognition of historic Senrian settlement on the islands, Xiaodong has laid claim to the islands, which it refers to as the "Haishe islands", for several decades.

Xiaodong has demanded the unilateral relocation of Senrian military assets away from the Sunahamas as a precondition for resuming denuclearization talks, a demand which Keisi has refused to assent to without similar actions by Xiaodong to prove good faith.

The government of Myouri Prefecture, which encompasses the Sunahamas, told Mainiti Sinbun that they had been informed of the expansion of the drills and said that they were "preparing" for the temporary arrival of additional military assets. "We enthusiastically welcome the brave men and women of the Senrian Republican Armed Forces, and we will endeavor to support them in their quest to keep Myouri Prefecture and all Senria safe and secure," the statement concluded.

Houmen Ou - the leader of the Constitutional Prosperity Alliance, a minor political party popular among ethnically Xiaodongese inhabitants of the Sunahama Islands - released her own statement, describing the expansion of the drills as a "needless provocation" and urging a "deescalation of these tensions, which are unproductive for all people in the Sunahamas and Senria".

The Ministry of Defense has stressed in this and previous statements that the "Southern Wind" exercises are a regular, annual affair which have been conducted by the Senrian Republican Navy and Senrian Republican Air Force for nearly four and a half decades, and that the exercises will be conducted entirely within Senria's exclusive economic zone, well away from the territorial waters of any other nation.

The Ministry of Defense did not respond to a request for additional comment.

High-level talks continue between Zorasan and Garambura in Mutimukuru

Diplomatic and economic talks between the Union of Zorasani Irfanic Republics and the Republic of Garambura have continued into a second day as the two countries look to set a stern path for their future relationship.

Receiving Zorasani State President Vahid Isfandiar at the Ollandi House in Mutimukuru, it is the first time the Zorasani head-of-state has made an official state visit to the country.

On the first day of talks, vital vaccination and education programs were agreed with both the Zorasani government and the Bonyad Emam Parastar, a large-scale charity that works in close coordination with the government across Zorasan and, more recently, elsewhere in Coius. The charity will look to vaccinate 70% of Garamburan children from infectious diseases such as polio, measles, mumps and rubella, responsible for thousands of infantile deaths in Garambura each year, by 2025.

The agreement was met with resounding success, but critics have pointed to the recent Project Prosperity agreement with Mabifia and Yemet as Zorasan attempting to strongarm its economic influence into the Bahian subcontinent.

The second day of talks focused heavily on Zorasani investment in Garambura's domestic industries. The wide-ranging economic agreements included cut rates for Garamburan access to Zorasani oil and gas, as well as plans to extend pipelines from Yemet into Garambura "if realistic", according to President Isfandiar.

As well as this, investment into key Garamburan industries, including mining, logging and resource extraction, as well as infrastructure across the country, was promised. A separate agreement between the Zorasani government and privately-owned banking conglomerate Tamizbank has allowed Garamburan companies ease of access in receiving credit and taking loans from the bank.

Sikali remarked that "the agreement would deliver vital economic boosts to many of our key industries", as well as "encouraging smaller businesses to branch out and diversify". He also echoed sentiments expressed by President Isfandiar the day before in placing emphasis on "education, good health, and good business".

"These are the pillars of the modern, successful state and its people", he added.

When Jean Vallette came to power in 2008 it seemed that Gaullica was on a collision course with what the Weranians seem to be grappling with now. Whilst not a problem in the entirety of the public sphere at the time; given the aftershocks of the Great Recession of 2005, there were reports of meetings in Verlois between committees and interest groups on a "birthrate problem" and the ways to tackle it.

Towards the end of his second premiership in 2002, Vallette promoted an investigatory committee to look into the effects of a declining fertility rate. At the time, it was at 1.6 -- and projected to drop to 1.5 by the end of the decade. In the months following the Great Recession, it was furthered to 1.3.

What the "Fertility Commission" uncovered and reported to Vallette's successor, Premier Milo Barthet, was that, in summary:

Women felt pressured by having to juggle between employment and family life; with many younger women prioritising the former.
Women felt that there were not enough resources at their disposal to functionally start a family. The study indicated they felt that childcare was inaccessible or a sign of their own failure as a parent.
Women listed that they felt their male partners were even less available than they were; and that the burden of child rearing responsibility fell to them.

After the Great Recession, a follow up to the study uncovered that: women felt that it was an "unstable" time to bring children into the world. The "Fertility Commission" based this finding on in person interviews, surveys and collection of data from over 2,000 women across Gaullica as well as analysing and comparing data in births and deaths in Gaullica at the time, as well as the average age of the population.

Premier Barthet unsuccessfully attempted to push a maternity leave increase of two weeks, given mixed support within his own coalition of parties and a seemingly apathetic mentality from President Lévesque.

Vallette, by contrast, built much of his campaign on the "radical transformation" of society. The 'Old Socialist' promised, as put by some commentators, 'the moon' to all demographics of Gaullica. And, ultimately, Gaullica accomplished a moon landing.

It is often overshadowed by later policies; or even more recently, the incorporation of two further states. But Vallette's "Family Act" was a fundamental cornerstone of his early legislation that aimed to both provide relief for those suffering from the aftershocks of the economic recession and to build on the concerns raised by the Fertility Commission six years earlier. In his first four years in office, the PSD:

Granted incentives and requirements for places of work to incorporate pre-nursery child-care, so that women could feel comfortable returning to the workplace.
Increased maternity leave from its existing rates to its current level: sixth months of fully paid maternity leave, as well as a further sixth months of unpaid leave. Both of these are optional, though a mother is obligatorily required to take a week off of work after the birth of their child.
Included a provision for parental leave, allowing fathers to take a week of fully paid parental leave and a further week of unpaid leave.
Increased the income bracket for parents to be eligible for childcare assistance from the original €18,000 per household to €36,000.
Provided a childcare assistance hamper for any family that applied for one; to be subject to review.

And what happened, after this? We've seen the downturn turn upwards -- it did not plunge to 1.3, not 1.5, but the fertility rate soared to 2.2 at a high point in 2018, and now has settled for a few years on a trend that will settle between 1.9 - 2.1. Amongst the highest in Euclea.

There is no 'fear' of a 'white replacement', only racism. There is no concern; only racism.

We don't need to "turn back" to fix the replacement rate; we need to embrace pro-women policies that don't disable them from the workforce or from family life.

WESTBRÜCKEN, WERANIA - Justice Minister Andrea Däubler in a press statement today vocally defended the Minister of the Interior, Jörg Bullmann, after the minister made several controversial comments last week that suggested that Werania was facing "demographic extincition".

"I can categorically say that Bullmann's statement regarding the demographics of this country do not reflect racism whatsoever. The comments were simply an observation on the low birth rate amongst white Weranians, which the government has committed to raising to the replacement rate with policies such as the Family First Initiative that encourage couples to start families at an earlier age whilst not being financially disadvantaged."

"We were elected on a clear programme of economic recovery and reducing immigration which got out of control under the last social democratic government. Bullmann's speech - was mainly talking about how we intend to make sure we can control our borders and who can and cannot come to Werania."

Däubler further stated she was worried about the media's tone regarding the speech, which she accused of reflecting a "startling lack of tolerance for alternative political opinions."

"I think all these accusations of racism reflect that the political left are entering a dangerous, self-censoring territory. This gutmensch left, whose only purpose is to appear virtuous without considering reality, seems intent on censoring anyone who expresses an opinion that they dislike. I fundamentally disagree with this approach. This nation was built on the ideas of free speech, of tolerance and open debate. The left claim the heritage to the revolution, but how they can plausibly do this if they reject one of its core freedoms?"

"Bullmann's words were not the ones I would've chosen, but he should be allowed to say them without the left attacking him on baseless claims of racism."

Däubler has further stated that as Justice Minister that opening criminal investigations into Bullmann for hate speech would be "absurd" and that Bullmann had neither broken ministerial code of conduct nor hate speech laws. "As Justice Minister and a former prosecutor, I can't see the case for Bullmann being responsible for inciting public unrest through hate speech. The legislation just doesn't work like that."

Däubler is amongst the most influential of the moderate wing of the NKP and has in the past been critical of the political direction of von Hösslin and Bullmann for taking the party to far to the right. Her intervention in support of Bullmann indicates that NKP moderates - also including Finance Minister Wolfgang Kanther, Regional Development Minister Melanie Bätzing-Lichtenthäler and Agriculture Minister Wilhelm Stahlman - have largely adapted to the idea that the left is using political correctness to stifle debate and that the government must combat that.

Government Suggests State-Backed Groups Behind Cyberattack

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that it believes that state-sponsored or state-supported "hacking groups" in Chistovodia, but stopped short of directly blaming the Chistovodian government directly.

Foreign Minister Ian Palmer said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been delivered a report from the National Security Bureau, alongside the Office of the Chief Minister, outlining what it had was "telltale calling cards" from state-sponsored groups that engage in cyberattacks and hacking operations from Chistovodia.
"While at this stage we cannot confirm that the attack had state involvement, we can confirm that the groups that engaged in the attack that we have managed to identify receive support from the Chistovodian regime," Palmer said. "It is becoming increasingly clear that the actions taken to initiate an attack of this kind against a sovereign nation represent a dangerous escalation of the state of affairs between the Chistovodian regime and the free nations in the Asterias."

A statement from the NSB supported the Foreign Minister's conclusions, stating that the groups it had identified "were known to have engaged in work on the behalf of Chistovodian authorities before."
"The groups identified have been involved in state-sponsored espionage work against multinational companies operating across the Asterias, in addition to attempted hacks on government servers and computer systems around the region," it said. "These groups are known to receive funding from the Chistovodian authorities in order to engage in specific targeted attacks against important computer systems and server networks."

Neither the NSB statement or the Foreign Minister identified any of the groups alleged to have been involved in the attacks that occurred last Monday, with the Foreign Minister stating that it would be "not in the interest of this government to do so."
"Labelling the groups involved would escalate the situation beyond necessity," he said. "At this stage we are confident based on the information provided by the NSB that groups associated with the Chistovodian regime were behind the attacks." The NSB also refused to comment further on the identities of the groups allegedly involved, stating to Die Vrystaat that the "report given to the Foreign Minister and the Chief Minister was not for public release."

A source within the NSB that Die Vrystaat was able to interview on the condition of anonymity said that the nature of the attacks last Monday was "fairly tame compared with other attacks committed by state-sponsored hacking groups, or outright attacks from foreign intelligence agencies."
"This is basically saying 'don't do anything you might regret'," they said. "It's a demonstration of the capabilities, really to show what they can do." They said that any real attacks would go straight for the government or the military, using techniques to force their way through security to access sensitive data from government or military servers.
"It really is a wakeup call."

The source did not want to reveal any of the groups that the NSB had identified as being behind the attack but said that they were "well known within the broader intelligence community".
"Pretty much any intelligence service would have identified these groups as being among the most likely candidates for any cyberattacks or anything related."

Cyber-security expert Johannes Vergeer said that the government's refusal to reveal who was behind the attacks was a "somewhat irrational" response given the nature of the attacks. He said people would want to know who was behind them and what action was being done to ensure that it would not happen again.
"The government is being too cautious about this," he said. "The public deserves to know where threats to our nation's cybersecurity come from and what the government is going to do about it."

Chief Minister and Minister of the Intelligence Services and Cybersecurity, Andrew Bohn, also did not comment on the identity of the groups involved in the attack. His office released a statement expressing concern about the "unnecessary escalation" with regards to the cyberattack, and said that all liberal nations in the Asterias "should cooperate to respond to, and mitigate, future attacks on critical digital infrastructure."
"It is important we take the lessons from this event and learn from them moving forwards."

Coalition talks between the Progressive Alliance and other parties has begun after the alliance failed to win a majority in the National Assembly on Sunday's election. After being widely expected to be on track for a majority the news comes after several prominent Progressive Alliance politicians lost seats including Oscar Kachel who lost his seat to the OVP.

The Progressive Alliance on election day were confident that they would gain a majority of seats in the Assembly despite notable campaign issues such as a widely condemned statement from Oscar Kachel who called immigrants "cockroaches" in an intoxicated speech to SdA voters. Even on election night exit polls suggested that the alliance was on track for a slim majority, ANS' own exit poll predicted a majority of 1 or 2 seats for the alliance. However as the first results were declared it became clear that the majority was in doubt.

Despite encouraging results from Hamptonshire and Fawkhamshire where the Socialist Party picked up 3 seats and the Sotirian Democratic Front lost seats to the Democrats the joy was short lived when preliminary results were released from Yndyk and suggested that a Green surge was threatening many several Alliance politicians. When asked about the data from Yndyk, SDyD assembly leader Hedse Postmus said they were confident that the party would come out ahead despite her own seat being in severe danger of being lost to the Greens.

Preliminary results from Garz and Zittau showed that the OVP which was contesting it's first federal election was expected to win the seat of Oscar Kachel after many moderate SdA voters apparently shifted support to the party following Kachel's speech.

In Martiland the KPP were able to hold onto all of their contested seats holding off the Justice Party which had been gaining support in recent weeks. KPP leader Ahto Malk said that the results were a clear sign that Kirenians supported the Progressive Alliance over the policies of the National Bloc and Justice Party.

Results from Delland also showed that the Conservative Party had lost seats to the SDyD in many suburban communities and in Wottested the Conservatives lost all of their seats to the SDyD and Greens.

By the end of the night the scale of losses for both of Alsland's blocs became clear, despite gaining seats the Progressive Alliance lost 3 seats to the Green's in Yndyk and the SdA had failed to gain a single seat. The National Bloc lost 7 seats primarily in Delland and Wottested and the UDU which had merged with factions of the National Rally lost every district it held at the previous election but Klara Fabel's.

Already the leaders of the Conservative Party and UDU have faced calls to resign and Lilliana Elliott has called for the National Bloc to investigate the reasons for it's historic losses in areas it has seen victory in the past such as suburbs of Yndyk and Wottested.

The Progressive Alliance is 3 seats short of an overall majority in the Assembly and will likely need continued support from The Centre and the Green party. However the Green party have made it clear their desire for electoral and legislative reforms such as merging the lower and upper houses and adding new seats for voters abroad. The Centre have also voiced their support for recreational Marijuana legalisation. Alternatively the alliance could appease the OVP, Worker's Party and the Democrats. Such a coalition is unlikely due to ideological differences with the socially conservative Democrats and would be unpopular with voters given the WP's unpopularity.

The National bloc would also have to work with the remaining parties if they were to secure a majority, this is also extremely unlikely due to key ideological differences with the Green party and fears of more backlash if the party decided to once again attempt to placate the far-right which would alienate most future voters.

On Wednesday the PA officially entered negotiations with the Greens and the Centre. Formal negotiations could take weeks to secure a majority in the upper house and with negotiations still ongoing with various parties in the House of Representatives over the upcoming budget an agreement could be a long time away.

This morning, Soravian police arrested and detained MZ parliamentary leader Donduk Kichikov for embezzlement and corruption, after the government was tipped off about the potential misuse of public funds by the ZBFPP, an independent organisation tasked with investigating and bringing corrupt officials to account.

The bureau accused Kichikov of misusing over 10 million zolota (€2.7 million) of public funding, including campaigns, political advertising as well as "personal luxuries". They also added that an additional 2.4 million zolota (€655,000) was "unaccounted for".

Kichikov has spent today answering questions about his involvement in the scandal, but ZBFPP spokespeople said the evidence against him was "undeniable". His representatives and his party have called the accusations a "blantant attack against Kichikov, his values and his beliefs."

Kichikov, who has been a sitting member of the Duma since 1999, has spent a large portion of that time leading the Rally for Zalykia political front, which calls for increased devolution from the central government, as well as a binding referendum on the region's future. The front, whose electoral results usually hover at around ten seats, control almost 50% of Zalykia's Duma seats, by far the highest proportion of any province in the country.

Noted political rival, and incumbent governor, Khermen Osor, called the accusations "disgraceful" and apologised to Kuduk's constituents for the "pain and suffering" he had caused. He remarked that "people like him" were the reason the region still suffered by high levels of poverty and income inequality, and added that "myself and my party are committed to tackling this problem that is affecting us all."

Descended from a political family, Kichikov was well-known for his abrasive and confrontational personality, which has on multiple occasions seen him briefly suspended from legislative duties. However the charges brought against him today were unprecedented and unexpected. He is due to be trialled at the National Court in Yashkul on April 15.

SEANAD TO TAKE UP CONSTITITIONAL REFORM IN COMING WEEKS

After advancing through the Comhthionól, the Taoiseach's reform package heads to the Seanad.

The Seanad Glítteann will take up the government's constitutional reform package in the coming weeks, the chamber's presiding officer has announced. Úna Ní Muilleoir, the Seanad's Cathaoirleach, has confirmed that members of the upper-house will begin to debate the measure in committee next week.

Ní Muilleoir has not yet laid out the full timeline, but a government source shared that it is expected that the Seanad will vote on the package before the end of the month. The government is hoping to have finalized constitutional reform before the June Seanad elections.

After passing through the Comhthionól Náisiúnta at the end of March, the Instrument for Governance Act of 2021 is widely anticipated to become law. It passed through the lower-house on party line vote, with all 217 voting members of the governing Social Democratic Party supporting the package and all other parties voting against or abstaining.

Taoiseach Stiofán Mac Suibhne is optimistic that his package will swiftly pass through the Seanad, telling reporters yesterday that he was encouraged by the chamber's sense of urgency.

"It is heartened to see that the Seanad is treating this legislation with the urgency is deserves. I look forward to the debate the chamber will have and the passage of this landmark legislation to improve our democracy and strengthen our institutions".

Of the Seanad's 60 seats, the government holds twenty-four. The senator representing Caithia, belonging to the Forward party, also typically votes with the government. While the government has less than 60 seats, it is expected the bill will not be defeated. 16 members of the chamber are non-aligned, independent senators who represent different aspects of society. Observers and government insiders do not expect them to defeat the measure, despite some hopes among the opposition that would be the case.

The opposition has failed to organize against the government in a coherent way, with the official opposition sidelined by the Taoiseach in January. Liberty Party leader Pádraig Mac Piarais was effectively demoted by Mac Suibhne over the former's controversial remarks about the King. The Liberty leader has also struggled to work with his caucus on the issue of constitutional reform. He has been widely criticized by members of his parliamentary group for his comments, but also his lack of interest in working with them to stall legislation.

Robert Kean, a former foreign minister and prominent Liberty TC, has called on the government to wait until after the June Seanad elections to pass reform. Kean, backed by a number of Liberty TCs, want to give the Caldish electorate a say. This initiative has been dismissed by Mac Piarais and his allies, opting instead to focus on making constitutional reform about Mac Suibhne himself.

Frustration has been growing among the opposition over Mac Piarais' failure to organize against constitutional reform, with many key players in the Tionól seemingly anticipating a major victory for the government.

The left's liberal use of the term devalues it's purpose and obscures a proper discussion on ethnicity in this country.

IT'S NO EXAGGERATION to say that a speech made by Interior Minister Jörg Bullmann recently which stated that white Weranians faced "demographic extinction" has shook Euclea to it's core. The darlings of the liberal elite, such as EC president Alexis Walker and Gaullican president Monique Degar-Abdulrashid, roundly criticised Bullmann as a racist who said the unthinkable - that the current sky-high immigration rates coupled with demographic decline will mean by current projections real Weranians will be a minority in 40 years time. The left-wing press in Werania such as Der Staatsmann and the Tagliche Beobachter have worked themselves up into a frenzy to paint Bullmann as a far-right xenophobe who wants to repatriate all non-white Weranians back to Coius. Der Staatsmann's Hermann Springer's hysterical article "If Bullmann looks like a functionalist and acts like a functionalist, then maybe he is one" implies within it that Bullmann was "taking a page out of the Great War-era Xiao's who talked of being "swamped with barbarians" unless they were promptly culled". Howls from left-wing opposition leaders, the liberal media and gutmenschen on Tweeter for Bullmann to resign have deafened us for the past two weeks, growing even louder as Chancellor von Hösslin dismissed them.

What Bullmann said is not racist. He used terms that were perhaps unhelpful to his broader point of the need to restrain non-Euclean immigration ("demographic extinction" was a phase he must have known would be endlessly quoted by the left to detract from his actual point to make him appear racist) but his actual argument was perfectly sound. It's simply a fact that Weranians - by which I mean those whose ancestors have claimed heritage to this land for generations - have a very low birthrate, and that if we don't limit non-white immigration we will become a minority in our own country in the future. This is the reality that few on the left dare say out loud.

By calling Bullmann - and by extension the NKP racist, or implying they are far-right - the left may be heralding a destabilising tone in Weranian politics.

There are parties in Werania that are on the far-right with a racist message - the most prominent is the Weranic Völkisch Freedom Party, a neo-völkisch outlet whose "blood and soil" ideology explicitly calls for an ethnically homogenous Werania. Despite participating in political violence the OVFP has netted nine seats in the Volkstag, which shows that regrettably that racist discourse is embraced by some in this country.

But associating Bullmann and the NKP with these kind of politics is misleading. Bullmann's advocacy for a strict immigration policy mirrors that of other politicians. In 2016, a prominent Weranian politician called for immigrants in Werania to "accept in Euclea, we value freedom of expression and equality between sexes. Our values are paramount and should take precedence over other values". That politician wasn't the OVFP's Albrecht Ströher or Bullmann, but the then-Economy Minister and current SRPO leader Luise Höcherl. Or how about the Interior Minister who bragged about introducing stricter migration laws for non-Euclean migrants - not Bullmann, but current PMZ leader Edmund Remarque in 2018.

Am I suggesting Höcherl and Remarque are far-right? Not at all. In fact, I'm saying that these politicians - including Bullmann - are all expressing a deeply held belief held amongst citizens of this country, that immigration has got out of control and needs to be substantially reduced particularly from non-Euclean countries. These people know that this kind of immigration is whittling down their sense of belonging in Werania and that if we want to change that unease a review of our immigration system is needed.

But by framing these concerns as far-right the political left is risking lumping in legitimate concerns about immigration in with far-right conspiracies. Justice Minister Andrea Däubler was admirable in pointing out that in so vehemently attacking Bullmann have shown a nasty censoring attitude that will make the the nonsensical acceptable and common sense unacceptable or politically "incorrect". If people can't express their deeply held mistrust regarding policies such as immigration for fear of being labelled racist, it's certain they will jump straight into the arms of the actual far-right like the OVFP.

The NKP have a golden opportunity to address these concerns to nip this mistrust regarding migration in the bud before they explode into a far-right revolt, which would both eliminate the far-right's electoral viability and put the problems regarding immigration to rest. If the left understood this they would be applauding Bullmann for his bravery, not censoring him.

Precea, Luzela: Today Cerqueira announced she is proposing a new spending plan for the Paretian Maritime Police Agency and Paretian Border and Customs Agency. It includes millions in funding for new boats, equipment, and 22 new maritime bases. The package comes as part of many new immigration and border related proposals by Cerqueira, mostly on strengthening the police force and tightening the Paretian border, which Cerqueira has dubbed the Lei e ordem renovadas(Revamped law and order) proposals.

The first part of the new spending package is the millions in funding for the construction new border fences on the western border and including a new security camera system at the country's major entrance points. The goal of this part of the package is to increase the ability for the Border and Customs Agency to spot any possible illegal substance trafficking crossing into Paretia from the western side.

Even though most substances enter through the eastern coast, Cerqueira says that "we need security on all fronts, even on our Gaullican and Etrurian borders, to ensure safety and stop any possible attempt at poisoning our people with illicit substances."

The largest new part of the package is the part focusing on greatly building the Maritime Police Agency, this includes a new proposal for millions for the construction of dozens of bases and watchtowers along the Paretian coastline, as well as funding for new and larger ships that are Cerqueira says must be on a "military level" to protect the coast of Paretia and stop the trafficking of illegal substances in and out of the country.

Currently there are only 9 bases for the Maritime Police Agency located at the country's major ports, but they are small, this bill will fund larger bases and new "watchtowers" along the coastline. It funds the construction of 22 new bases, which is more than twice the amount already existing. These bases will known as Comandos Portuários Marítimos(Maritime Port Commands). These bases would mostly be located at the various harbors of Paretian cities.

The next part of the bill is the increase the militarization of the two agencies, this includes funding new body armor, boats, armored vehicles, and military grade weaponry. This includes replacing the standard handguns with rifles used by the current military. It also includes new boats that will now be armed with machine guns and torpedoes similar to naval patrol ships.

The final part of the plan includes an increase to the total number of humanitarian aide supplies that are put onto ships in events such as helping refugees out at sea.

Cerqueira said this on the proposal "Our country is at the crossroads of illegal substance trafficking in and out of the Euclean continent. We must not just protect ourselves but our global neighbors from traffickers. As I promised when I was appointed to the office of Premier, I wish to commit to law and order in Paretia and keeping our citizens safe. This new plan will greatly strengthen our brave border and maritime officers in their fight against drug, weapons, and human trafficking. Me, Defense Minister Perreira and Justice Minister Algarves believe in our commitment to law and order and this plan is exactly that, commitment."
