So, this is a Rebellion v Government RP which takes place on The Imperial Autarchy of Kolodania. An island nation with a IC population of ~200 million, which is controlled with an iron grip by Empress Kathryn Versio. A cunning, cruel dictator who knows her way around the fine line of warfare. The nation is heavily militarized, the military serving under the direct control of their leader. The police service of the nation being a division of the military.
A small rebellion group known as the Kolodanian People's Front, which are situated at the West Coast of the island, are nearing extinction. In this roleplay you play a desperate rebellion group attempting to bring a tyrannical government down, with no true outside help. The West Coast is more tropical than the rest of the island, there are smaller villages, towns and even a small city, but it is considered to be the countryside of the nation.
Do note that I may be willing to bring in Black Ops operators from outside nations, but at a very limited rate and only if it helps benefit the roleplay or makes sense IC wise (eg it’s within their best interests to distract or destroy this government for whatever reason.)
The rebellion group is struggling to keep morale high, rations are low and there is a never ending stream of soldiers and police officers for them to combat. They’ve so far been able to keep their headquarters hidden, but are currently untrusted by the public, who have fallen victim to the government’s various propaganda networks.
Their enemies are known as The Order - the nation’s military. As well as the Red Moon, their special forces group. Both of which have ultimate power, there’s no escaping their grasp. Many are amazed by the fact that the rebellion group has survived for as long as it has.
The rebellion group is officially designated a terror group by the government after an attack which killed 12 soldiers and 2 civilians.
The Factions
The Order
The Order are the Imperial Autarchy of Kolodania’s military, under the command of their General, Commanding General Alicia Turner, who is under the orders and command of the Imperial Throne, and therefore Empress Kathryn Wraith.
Founded in 1605, The Order were originally just known as the Military of Kolodania, before receiving a name change in 1852 for unknown reasons. The Order has various divisions for various reasons, the most notable one being their special forces, which are known as The Red Moon, as well as the Policing Division, which are the national police force of the island nation.
Critics of The Order call their existence ‘cruel’ and ‘unnecessarily overwhelming’ - before suddenly disappearing without a trace.
The Kolodanian People's Front
Formed in 2017, originally staging peaceful protests, they began to rebel more harshly after the death of one of their own - James Falkirk. During the next 4 years leading into 2021, the situation on the West Coast began getting more and more violent, with people from both sides receiving hefty casualties.
They were officially designated a terror group after an attack on Imperium Galdiff, claiming the lives of 12 soldiers and 2 civilians in a shootout. Ever since then, the government has been harshly retaliating against the group, which has pushed them to near extinction.
You play a member (or members) of this rebellion group, who are attempting to reclaim their land in the name of democracy. Most members have had to split off from each other and hide in smaller groups, in order to not be found.
The leader of the KPF is simply known as ‘K’. He hasn’t shown his face in years, but sends messages through burner phones.
Places of Interest
The Imperial ResidenceThe Imperial Residence is the home of the Imperial Throne, heavily guarded and impossible to get near, the Order’s Imperial Protection Unit or IPU works around the clock to protect the building from external threats. It is situated within the capital.
Oracle OutpostOracle Outpost is an outpost on the western coast of Kolodania, it stores a small amount of weaponry and supplies for the Order and was created to monitor the KPF. It has a small number of guards and is somewhat vulnerable to attack, however, there is a military base a few kilometers out, which would be able to deploy a Rapid Response Team if the alarm is raised.
Lake VavinLake Vavin is a military base on the western coast of Kolodania, it is heavily guarded and serves as a headquarters for the Western Section of The Order’s Forces. It is a few kilometers from Oracle Outpost, which serves as a monitoring base for rebel activity. It has air, sea and land defences, including rapid response teams which include air, land and sea vehicles. The Western Section is under the command of Commander Melissa Corll, who reports directly to Commanding General Alicia Turner.
Imperium GaldiffUnder martial law after a terror attack which claimed the lives of 14 people, Imperium Galdiff is the main city on the western coast. A heavy military presence lurks the streets and alleyways of the city, hunting for potential rebel cells. It is suicide for any known rebel to walk down those streets, as they’re liable to be quickly eliminated by soldiers from The Order, or taken in for enhanced interrogation.
Rebel HeadquartersThe Rebel Headquarters is located in a small bar on the outskirts of Western Kolodania, it acts as a safehouse for rebels that are passing by and has so far remained undetected by The Order. Rebels have slowly had to replace the base with other locations in order to not give away other rebel cells.
