Waisnorian fans we're waiting for another victory with St.Saratoga after three victories in a row and jumping to the top half of the table. And their expectations were paid off:
At the beginning of the game, there was a rather interesting struggle for, to take the lead, both teams were striving for this, but the St. Saratoga team was able to do it, and on the 9th minute of the 1st period they unexpectedly opened the scoring - the forward of this team was able to do an impressive breakthrough to the goal of Denis Dementyev and sent the puck into the bottom corner of his goal.
Waisnorian team began to try to recoup their lag in the score, but their attempts were unsuccessful, and as a result, they ended the first period as the losing side. At this time, St. Saratoga was able to take advantage of the fact that, due to such attacks, the defense remained weakened, and in the 8th minute of the 2nd period, another striker of this team with one throw threw the puck into the Waisnorian goal, doubling the advantage.
It would seem that after this the team should have sat down in defense so as not to miss more, but Waisnor continued to attack, now with a reinforced attack, and such a game quickly proved to be useful - at the 16th minute of the 2nd period, David Blokha went to the St. Saratoga goal with lightning speed and scored the first Waisnorian goal of this match in the top corner.
After the puck was scored, Waisnor began to slowly seize the initiative in the match and began to create more dangerous moments, and soon another of them ended in a goal - already in the 1st minute of the 3rd period, Stanisłav Bednarek, after Vladislav Faskhutdinov served, went one-on-one with the goalkeeper of St. Saratoga and leveled the score with an accurate throw.
Now the Waisnorian team was already dominating the rink, and for complete domination it lacked one thing - the advantage on the scoreboard, for which it was necessary to score one more goal, which happened in the 5th minute of the 3rd period - David Blokha again distinguished himself, shooting on goal from afar and unexpectedly, apparently, even for himself, scored, bringing Waisnor forward.
Keeping in mind how they lost two goals themselves, Waisnor wanted to assert their leadership by scoring one or two more goals at the gates of St. Saratoga. The minimum program for this was fulfilled - in the 11th minute of the 3rd period, Vladislav Faskhutdinov scored his goal, receiving an assist from David Blokha and shooting perfectly into the lower right corner of the goal, scoring the last goal in the meeting.
After 4th victory in a row Waisnor is on 5th place in Group of Cups with 12 points. Their next rival will be unseeded BohemiaIV, which can prolong winning streak of Waisnorian hockey team.
Answering to Graentfjall:
What’s the social life of your nation like? How do your people like to relax and have fun?
Social life of Waisnor is very interesting, because there are many ways to express yourself, be it music, literature or other fine arts.
Among main Waisnorian wayf to relax there are, of course, TV series, which became very popular in early 2010's and are popular to this day with no signs of decrease in popularity. To clarify, WBC's second channel (Second Cinema Channel) is showing them almost all the time. Waisnor produces their own TV series and imports many American, British and Japanese series.
Also Waisnorians like to party, wildest parties are always happening on Independence Day, which is celebrated on 7th of June. Main square of capital, Grodno, is always crowded on this day with people going to party, and they sure do it) Government even decided to make 8th of June a day off for everybody to cool off) (This year celebratiobs will be epic, because it's 30 years of independence in 2021) Well, if COVID will allow this) (Also, some interesting fact, which is not pretty related to the topic - in 2011, in year of 20th anniversary of independence, people walked on the streets, making something like a Soviet manifestation with slogans and all) They went nearby President Palace for President, Anatoly Antipenko at the time, to wave to them )
