So that means that any cop has the right to kill him at sight for the rest of this life ? Whatever he did in the past is utterly irrelevant.
Even he were stealing or buying cocaine during the incident (which he wasn't) wouldn't justify killing him.
The only justifications for the police using lethal force are it was the only possible way to save innocent lives (like during a terror attack or hostage situation) or if the cop was directly threatened with lethal force himself. No past event and no lesser crime can justify taking a life.
