Raditian Presidential Election 2020

Postby Radimostan » Wed Mar 17, 2021 3:54 am

Just like every four years, the Republic of Raditia is preparing for its Presidential election. Even though this they have been postponed a bit due to the ongoing health crisis. While there are various minor parties competing for the Presidential seat, it is widely agreed upon that only three major candidates have a chance of taking the seat.

Karel Linhart (National Unity Party)

Image
Linhart was born in 1971, just five years before the collapse of the communism in the country. He graduated the Military School in Poštnice and was commissioned as Sub-lieutenant in the Ground Force. In the military, he got into multiple conflicts with senior officers because of his purported insubordination. He left the Armed Forces in 1994 when he inherited a large sum of money from one of his relatives living overseas and used it to fund the creation of his own private security agency called 'SOKOL'. Despite various reports of human rights abuses perpetrated by its operators, SOKOL enjoyed moderate financial success.

In 2010s Linhart became a major opponent of the liberal policies of the national government, especially in regards to immigration and LGBT. This also marks the time when he joined the Christian Democratic Party. Once again Linhart got into conflicts with his superiors, this came to a head in 2015 when he left the Christian Democrats and founded his own National Unity Party. The NUP soon took over the CDP's electorate and became the new dominant right-wing political group. Outside of being socially right-wing on all issues, from women's place in society to climate change, Linhart is the strongest supporter for centralization and wishes to limit the autonomy of local governments.

Age: 49
Kraina (Province): Pobochia
Social stance: right-wing
Economic stance: centre-right

Anna Jicova (Liberal Democratic Party)

Image
Anna Jizcova is the current Prime Minister of the Raditian Republic. Born in 1959, seventeen years before the fall of the socialist state, she gained an economics degree at the Chernogorod University. Generally seen as a career politician, Jizcova was a member of many Raditian governments. She held the post of Minister of Business and Employment and later became the Minister of Finance, before ascending to the position of the head of government.

She generally emphasizes the role of the free market when it comes to economic development and limited government intervention. This does not mean she has a completely hands off approach, as she believes a healthy middle class is necessary for sustainable growth. As such, she provides a general level of economic assistance to small business and self-employed, and fights monopolization. When it comes to social issues, she takes a liberal stance on most issues but leaves most of the decisions up to the provincial governments. As far as the foreign affairs are concerned she is a non-interventionist who wants to keep Raditia from the world scene.

Age: 61
Kraina (Province): Pomoravia
Social stance: centrist
Economic stance: right-wing

Prokop Šrámek (Raditian Labour Party)

Image
Šrámek is the oldest candidate as he was born during the 1954. His father was a loyal apparatchik which secured him a college education. After Šrámek graduated in economics, he gained a minor administrative position at the Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry. For some time he continued his work at various administrative posts as a civil servant, before joining the Raditian Labour Party prior to the 2004 election and later served as the Minister of Social Protection during the subsequent Labour administration.

He is seen as the main moderate of the RLP, especially when it comes to the economics where he believes that both state and market forces are necessary. Nevertheless he still favours expansion of government investments into healthcare, education and other areas of 'national interest'. He also proposes the introduction of a national level of universal basic income program. When it comes to social issues, he is more open to over-rule local governments when it comes to ensuring 'equity for every Raditian citizen'. As far as foreign affairs, Šrámek is the most skeptical of SACTO's role in Kryvia.

ELECTIONS IN RADITIA!
HIS EXCELLENCY: "WE WILL SEE WHAT IT MEANS FOR OUR PARTNERS IN THE REGION"

Image
Prokop Sramek is the most likely candidate to win in the elections.

Just as every four years, the Kryvian nation of Raditia has one again launched it's elections. The three main candidates are Karel Linhart, Anna Jicova and Prokop Šrámek. This election comes as the most likely to win candidate, Prokop Sramek, openly criticized SACTO's involvement in Kryvian affairs. So far, Sramek - san has been leading in national polls, despite Linhart-san following him closely.

On a press conference called in Ishikawa, his excellency, the Shogun of the Empire of Greater Nifon, Kojiro-dono ue, announced that he does not intend to involve the Empire of Greater Nifon too deeply in Eulabian affairs. In his excellency's words, there is nothing that Nifon could gain from protracted involved in any area of Eulabia. Neither will Empire of Greater Nifon endorse any candidate, seeing the elections as domestic affair of Raditia.

On the other hand, his excellency expressed concern, citing that until now Raditia had been a recipient of Nifonese military hardware, as well having growing economic ties with the Empire of Greater Nifon. In addition to that, two SACTO nations - Bolrieg and Stojam - are located in the region, both having positive ties with Nifon. His excellency expressed hopes that no deterioration in relations between those states will happen and offered to act as mediator in potential conflicts.

On concluding note, the shogun himself offered any victor in the elections to visit Ishikawa. "I hope that such a meeting will further the cause of intrnational collective security" he said, edning the press conference.

RADITIAN TELEJOURNAL

Image

"Good morning everyone, I welcome you at the daily morning news. The Telejournal rapporteurs have already began gathering data for the upcomming, though temporarily postponed, 2020 election. And here is the polling...

Mr Prokop Šrámek currently seems to be in the lead. Šrámek took over the party leadership following the 2016 elections, in which the Labour Pary suffered a major defeat. Could this be the return of the RLP? On the other hand, the numbers of the Prime Minister Anna Jicova seems to staggeringly weak, she is currently at the third post. Which means if the Šrámek fails to secure 50% of the vote, we will see a Linhart-Šrámek runoff election. I believe that will be definitely be a spectactle...

For mor detailed overview we have invited Dr. Josef Pavlíček from the Kundrata's Institute of Political Science. Good Morning Dr. Pavlíček."

"And good morning to you too! Now... to understand what we are seeing right now, we have to acknowledge that the Homofront Attacks of 2016 are still in our recent national memory. This of course made the issue of LGBT much more important that ever... which explains the low polling numbers of Ms. Jizcova?"

"How so?"

"Well Ms. Jizcova... and the LibDems in general are too focused on the economic issues and she failed to take a resolute stance when it comes to LGBT rights. This makes her looks weak."

"Could you explain why Šrámek has such high numbers compared to the rest? One would thought People would be even more hostile towards the LGBT community."

"Well you see... It is fair to suggest that when it comes to LGBT issues the nation is split 50/50 when it comes to favourable and unfavourable views. There are two main factors that come to play, which make Šrámek so liked right now. First, Šrámek is still a moderate when it comes to these issues... His proposed civil rights legislation is not that radical... definitely not from western point of view..."

"Are we sure we can call Raditia a western country?"

"Well... that's debatable... but there is till the second thing that comes in the play... Šrámek is still not as centralist as Linhart, which makes him more favourable in the eyes of traditional Linhart voters."

"When we are at it... What about Linhart? Can he still make it?"

"Well definitely, things are far from over, he can still mobilize a huge voting base and sweep both Šrámek and Jizcova away... And even if he doesn't win... Taking a second place is still a huge victory for the young National Unity Party."

Indiana Controlled Florida’s Propaganda

Postby Indiana Controlled Florida » Thu Mar 18, 2021 4:14 pm

The Indianan Emperor has made a comment about the Radiation Election which he describes his dislike of the NUP and it’s candidate. This was the Emperor’s comment
“NUP is a new party that is widely known as a right-wing party. The party has a right wing policy on homosexuality, hated among many Floridans. The candidate for the NUP is very new to politics. He was disobedient to his senior officers in military school. He has no knowledge of communism, and this is probably why he is opposed to liberal policies. He was 5 when the communist state fell, which proves his low knowledge of communism.

After that short comment, the anthem of Indiana started playing. After the anthem stopped playing, The Indiana News started going back to reporting on usual stuff.

The Commonwealth of Syndic Australia
"In truth and solidarity, Australia advances"

From the Federal Cabinet of the Commonwealth of Syndic Australia, March 22° 2024

The Commonwealth, being adverse to intervening in other nations' internal affairs, will not directly endorse any one candidate in the Raditian election. It will, however, applaud Cz. Šrámek's agenda regarding the implementation of a universal basic income.

Employing a similar policy ourselves, a universal employment and apprenticeship guarantee, we acknowledge that the most effective way to counter the volatility and predatory nature of a capitalist economy is to give the people a strong and resilient foundation upon which they can stand tall and below which they cannot fall. With a universal basic income in Raditia, the worker can afford to turn down exploitative contracts, and the disgusting perpetuation of homeless will no longer continue when companies can no longer coerce those who are struggling into inequitable employment by pointing to the destitute on the street as an example of those who run afoul of the system.

We hope that the people of Raditia concur that dignity, pride, health, knowledge, and safety are vital to a prosperous and equitable society when they cast their ballots. Look to the leader who believes in a strong foundation for all.
January 27° - The 2025 Federal Election season has begun! Initial three-party preferred polls put the I.S.P. ahead at 37%, followed by the Country Party at 34%, then Labor at 29%.

ŠRÁMEK CLAIMS THE PRESIDENCY, LINHART CONTESTS

The Raditian Presidential election concluded yesterday at midnight and with the 95% of votes counted, it is safe to assume that Prokop Šrámek of the Raditian Labour Party is to be inaugurated as the 6th President of the Second Raditian victory. Šrámek claims 53.3% of the vote, giving him absolute majority making the second round of the Presidential Election unnecessary.

Though the victory is currently contested by Karel Linhart who ended up second claiming 34.1% of the vote. Meanwhile the LDA's candidate, Prime Minister Anna Jizcova suffered a major defeat, securing only 10% of the vote.

All is not yet over though, as the National Assembly is still controlled by the centre-right coalition. The fate of the current status quo will have will be decided in the upcoming legislative election.

There are plans for a speedy inauguration by the next friday. Mr. Šrámek also announced that he would be happy to meet with the Nifonese government in Ishikawa and discuss the current situation in Kryvia.

INAUGURATION OF PROKOP ŠRÁMEK

Image

Yesterday afternoon, 9th of April 2021, the Raditian Labour Party veteran Prokop Šrámek successfully swore the oath to protect the Republic, its constitution and its people. As such he was officially recognized as the 7th President of the Second Raditian Republic. Even though the Karel Linhart attempted to overturn the results in the courts, the recount has not changed the elections in any major way.

The new President's inauguration speech began charitably. "It can not be denied that our nation has done great progress since it threw away the shackles of the totalitarian dictatorship. Many of us enjoy great prosperity even in these otherwise dire times."

But continued a bit more critically. "But it also can not be denied that no all of our citizens were able to reap the full fruits of their labour. And that many were left behind when it came to their economic situation."
He then moved away from economic issues towards the social ones. "And it also can not be denied that our state failed to ensure basic protection to all its citizens no matter their creed, no matter their kind."

Afterwards he summarized his views on the issues. "To me that represents a certain degree of failure in our pursuit to create a civilized and humane society."".

He ended his brief speech with this: "It is not may goal to start revolutions. We already had a plenty of them to see they solve nothing. It is not my goal to return us to pre-1976 times. I am not a madman. But it is, always was and always will be my goal to fight against injustice everywhere and to ensure a basic level of social and material dignity every human being of good nature is entitled to."

As was expected, the President's first action was to call for a legislative election to secure majority in the National Assembly.

"We dedicate this message to the Marxist usurper of Radita, greetings you bastard you rigged your elections. The proof of this is the fact you are a Marxist and Marxists always steal elections because nobody actually likes your stupid movement. You are the candidate representing the Communist EU and Homofront, you want to spread your terrible ideology to the rest of the continent. You will fail because we in Mighty Bolrieg won't let you, you plan to replace our noble traditions with Communism but instead we will beat you, when the Rexists under Mr Kladnov win here this will first show you how much we detest you Leftism and your stupid face. We will also show you how much Raditans hate you when we will put Rexists in charge there and they will hang every Leftist and degenerate there. Kyrvia will be united under one monarch and we will have no room for Communists and we will be independent from both the influence of the EU and Krasnomirsk."
