Official Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MID)

Russia has been shaken by the recent terrorist attack in Cuba. Russia sends condolences to the Cuban government and the victims' families, while also condemning the perpertrators and wishing for a swift justice. If the attack was possibly political, Russia would like to send some agents from the Ministry of State Security (MGB) to help the Cuban law enforcement with hunting down the responsible terrorists.

On the other hand, Russia condemns the recent attempt by Japan to assert sovereignty over the disputed Liancourt Rocks. This is due to the possibility that Japan might also assert sovereignty over both Sakhalin Island and the Kurils. If the situation escalates, then the Russian Armed Forces will be sent to deal with Japan.

Abe sat with his top commanders in the Situation Room, watching as the events unfolded around Takeshima Island. According to Commandant Nakajima, Japan Coast Guard forces had just crossed into Takeshima territorial waters as the Korean forced began to concede. A small victory he planned to exploit in the coming days.

While things were not quite over yet, he had been made aware of the international reaction. Most important to him was that of the US, however so far they had been silent. So next was that of Russia. The threats made by them was by far more serious than anything else. It was unlike him to back down and he refused to do so. He called to General Yamazaki, "Raise our alert levels. I want our air defense systems on standby to move into wartime positions within an hours notice, and I want our fighters on standby to intercept any air incursions within 15 minutes notice."

Yamazaki nodded. "What about the navy?"

Admiral Yamamura pointed to a map of fleet locations, "I advise we divide our fleets to move 8 Aegis equipped guided missile destroyers north along with the Hosho strike group. They should be able to shoot down most incoming ballistic missiles from Russia. We can move our remaining two Aegis equipped guided missile destroyers south to prepare to defend against any Korean attack."

Abe nodded. "Have it be done. I want the Musashi strike group held in reserve, but move the Yamato strike group north with the Hosho Assuming the worst what are our options regarding Russia?.

General Shunji Izutsu replied "On short notice, the Air Force is prepared to launch defensive strikes with our F-35s and F-15s. However I can have 30 of our Nakajima G10N Kai strategic bombers moved to bases in North Honshu and Hokkaido to be on standby for retaliatory measures."

Abe gave a nod of approval. "Good. See to it that is done."

"Yes sir."

Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Japan


The State of Japan strongly condemns the threats by Russia to use force against Japan. The State of Japan only seeks to bring peace and stability to Asia through ensuring security of its peoples, interests, and sovereign territory. Japan has only deployed a civilian survey force to the Takeshima Islands, which it has a right to as it is sovereign Japanese territory.

Despite the despicable Russians attempts of intimidation, Japan is willing to negotiate with Russia regarding the Kuril Islands.

To the threats of force made by the Russian Government and Russian commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Sergei Avakyants, who said that Japan should have its military obliterated, Japan stands ready to defend itself.

According to Article 2 of the UN Charter, countries must "refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state." The State of Japan plans to bring this matter up with the UN, and urges its allies to further condemn Russian threats of force.

Japan once again affirms its right to self-defense, and affirms its ability to defend itself. This should serve as a warning to Russia. If Russian forces enter into Japanese territorial waters, including that around Takeshima Island, they may be fired upon. If Japan is attacked, it will retaliate at a magnitude not seen in nearly 80 years.

The Chinese government calls on the Russian People's Federation and on the State of Japan to lower tensions and establish channels of communication in order to deescalate the crisis. The Chinese government urges both parties to avoid military action and to choose the path of diplomacy and peace instead. The Republic of China hopes that peace and stability shall prevail in the region.

Official comment on the territorial tensions of the East Asia Region


The United States of America again states that it calls upon all parties involved in the recent territorial tensions in east Asia to resolve their disputes in international court and other peaceful international organizations. We call on any military forces in the areas of contention to return to port and for a general calming of tensions.
The US will act if called upon as mediator and to our part to bring the disputes to a peaceful end.

Even if tensions between the US and Cuba have become difficult in recent weeks we are empathetic to the lose of life. Every man and woman deserves to be put to rest in according to their own beliefs in a peaceful manner, just as every citizen deserves a government that will lift them up not keep them down.

The death of another Castro was met with jubilation in the Cuban-American communities, wide spread street celebrations erupted across Florida as Cuban and American flags were waves side by side and those asked by local media stated that they hope that with the recent protests in cuba the long awaited return home could happen.

President Miguel Diaz-Canel stood just outside the press room in the Presidential Residence. When he heard of the bombing of Castro's funeral, he was irate. He walked into the press room, which was filled with reporters from state-owned media, and up to a podium. He laid a personally written speech on the podium, then began to speak.

"People of Cuba, we have just been attacked by people who aim to destroy us. The person responsible for the recent terrorist attack disrupted an attempt to pay our respects to a recently deceased man based on a political agenda. I say no more. We as a government will no longer tolerate acts of insurrection such as this. We will begin an investigation of today's events with the aid offered by our allies in Russia. And as for those rebellious pigs who mask violence as a push for liberty, we will begin cracking down on all of them, effective immediately. We will be taking the necessary action to prevent such ludicrous acts as the one committed today from occurring in the near future. We will no longer tolerate acts of treason, and remind our international counterparts that this is a domestic issue that concerns Cuba and Cuba only. Sanctions will not be tolerated. Action is coming in the near future, and once it is taken, we will stand at a higher point than ever before."

The Korean naval ships begin steadily retreating to the Dokdo islands. The Navy mobilises more ships in nearby areas, and scrambles planes for a potential escalation. "This is your last warning," the captain calls, "do not follow us to Dokdo."

Military General Yoo marches briskly through the steel catwalks of the missile chambers in South Pyongyang. Here they hold surface-to-air missiles, long range missiles, short range missiles, land-based missiles, and 38 nuclear missiles, some of which are able to reach Kazakhstan and all of which can reach Tokyo.

"These are in top condition? Ready to be fired at any time?" Yoo asks a missile technician standing near him.

"Yes sir. They are all well maintained. Is...is there a chance we will be using them against Japan?" The technician replies.

"That is not information you need to know. But...these must always be ready, understand? If heaven-forbid we came to a nuclear war we'd better have nuclear weapons. It is our only chance of survival in this mad, mad world."

The coast guard ships now continued guns still at ready.

The captain of the boat talked to military and foreign policy leaders and the president in the situation room in Seoul. They gave him orders to let the Japanese survey boats in, but NOT any military personnel.

"Your survey boats may come through to Dokdo, but no others. No coast guard and no helicopters, or it will be a trespass and they will be arrested."

Captain Ogawa replied over the radio. “The Coast Guard ships present are the survey ships. We are moving to the 6 mile point and request you do not interfere. Our helicopters are here to conduct an air component of the survey.”

“Proceed.” He called to his commanders.

"Your coast guard survey ships may proceed, but the helicopters are not. 6 armed helicopters are not needed to make a survey."

12 Miles off Takeshima Islands

Ogawa shook his head towards his officers and replied over the radio "The helicopters are based on our ships. Our ships will proceed. We need an air perspective for the survey and the helicopters will eventually need to refuel. We will now cease communication as we conduct our survey unless urgent."

The boats move into a defensive formation and retreat into Korean territory. "This is your last warning. Take down your armed helicopters. We will give no further warning."

Ogawa shouted, "Ignore them. Proceed as planned. The minute they fire on us, radio Captain Isai for orders. Have helicopters prepare for evasive action and prepare to fire the main guns."

This whole confrontation has been filmed, as evidence for the Korean's justification. "Your helicopters are not allowed to come into Dokdo. Bring them in they will be arrested."

Captain Ogawa chuckled with his officers. "Look at those cowards, they just keep on repeating the same thing. How will they arrest a helicopter?"

Lieutenant Fuji nodded. "They would not dare fire on us. Spineless dogs. We will proceed. Do not answer them."

"You have been warned! You are under arrest. Please land immediately."

Captain Ogawa laughed. "Radio the helicopters that they will remain in the air. Look at the Koreans, they know they won't win if they attack us. So they are reduced to this."

Overhead, the helicopters continued to stay with the fleet as it entered the 7-mile mark.

"You have been warned fairly. You have had time to leave but you have not and are trespassing on Korean territory." says the captain.

"FIRE" he yelled to his men, as the SAM tubes launched at one of the helicopters, blowing it out of the water.

"Retreat now with the helicopters, and cease the survey. You may continue at a later time, after the conflict is dealt with. You were warned fairly and ignored it, trespassing onto Korean territory."

Captain Ogawa looked fairly aghast but regained composure in seconds. "Open fire!" was all he said as the 12 ships and 5 remaining helicopters began opening up. Time seemed to freeze as he watched his radio operators calling to the fleet and command.

Outside men on the decks opened fire with machine guns and rifles onto the nearby Koreans, primarily targeting their fishing boats as it was pointless to shoot at the armored warships. Deck guns from all 12 ships unleashed a volley of 12 rounds in the first salvo targeting Korean forces.

Ogawa called out, "Launch all remaining helicopters!"

Captain Isai turned as a sailor rushed behind him. "Sir the Koreans have fired on the Coast Guard."

Isai turned to his operator, "Alert the main fleet. Do you have a lock on Korea forces?"

"Yes sir."

Isai nodded. "Target their naval ships, not the fishing boats. Open fire."

Across the three ships, 12 tubes opened up; 8 Harpoon missiles and 4 Type 17 anti-ship missiles soaring out as the crews scrambled to reload. Isai looked out grimly. The war had begun.

"Vice Admiral Riou! The Koreans have fired on our forces!."

Riou turned around shocked, "They did what? Launch a squadron of F-35s to their location and send word to high command for orders."

As order went out to the crews to launch the 12 F-35s, Riou asked, "How did our destroyers respond?"

"They fired their 6 anti-ship missiles and are reloading."

Riou nodded. "The Koreans have 15 ships total in the area. Have our escorts launch a concentrated barrage as well. After prepare to fire a second volley."

Overhead 36 more anti-ship missiles arced up from the 8 destroyers and frigate escorts while the remaining ships held their missiles in the case a new threat arose. Quickly crews began reloading and manning battle stations.

Now in a matter of minutes, 48 Japanese missiles were in the air. 20 of the missiles would target the four Korean destroyers and two corvettes, which were typically armed with more anti-missile and anti-air defenses. 15 other missiles would target the two battleships, although the F-35s once launched would handle them. The other 13 missiles headed towards the 7 lighter Korean ships which were expected to not have any air defenses at all.

Riou presumed that the Koreans would be able to intercept most of the missiles, but it was just a matter of overwhelming their defenses. There was no doubt the American made missiles would score some success. There was also no doubt the Koreans would launch their own volley. The hope just being with superior numbers Japan could win this battle.

"Sir! The Japanese Coast Guard went into Korean waters and the Koreans opened fire!" was shouted as the door burst open, it was the aids job to just come in if something drastic happened, and the Koreans and the Japanese shooting at each other certainly qualified as drastic.

"What!? Did they even consider contacting the UN first?" Bamberger asked.

"Not really sir, the Japanese released a official statement citing Article 2, and suggested bringing it before the UN, but did not officially request a hearing in a court." Bamberger rubbed at his eyes.

"God damnit. Alright, prepare an official statement for release." Bamberger said, the typist brought her hands up to the keyboard.

The Federal Republic of Germany calls for a ceasefire between the State of Japan and the Republic of Korea. Germany will officially be putting in a request for a United Nations Security Council meeting on this subject.


"And sir, there was a bombing at the funeral of Raul Castro." The aid continued. Bamberger sighed. There were days he wished he'd never gone into politics.

"Alright, prepare another official statement."

"Yes, the motherfuckers in Tokyo are going to war with their Korean counterparts", Sergei answered angrily. "I totally want the Japanese military obliterated as fast as fucking possible!!! Can we please send our fleet to the Liancourt Rocks?"
"Yes, we may have to send the fleet", Sasha agrees. "You have my permission to deploy our naval forces."
"Thanks, President", Sergei finished as the call ended.

After the call ended, the Pacific Fleet deployed some of its ships from Vladivostok. This small fleet consists of the Marshal Shaposhnikov, the Admiral Tributs, the Admiral Vinogradov, the Gromkiy and the Gremyashchiy. The Marshal Shaposhnikov leads the small fleet. The fleet may be small, but extra reinforcement is available whenever the situation escalates.

Protesters once again filled the streets of Havana, marching towards the capitol building. But there was a blockade of police officers surrounding the capitol pavilion. On the police's radio, a man barked an order.

"Execute Order 66." "Begin the crackdown."

One police officer looked to another police officer, nodded, then grabbed a tear gas capsule. He threw it into the crowd, as well as the other police officers. As the tear gas released from the capsules, the police began firing rubber bullets into the crowd. The crowd begins to flee, and a few police officers follow, continuing to fire at the protesters.

Meanwhile, inside a police station in Santiago de Cuba, police were interviewing the brother of the man who set off the explosion in Havana. They asked him numerous questions.

"Why did he do it?", an interrogator asked him.

"I don't know. All I know is he told me that morning that he was going to the funeral. I had no clue of his intent to bomb the procession.", he replied.

"You had better not be lying to me."

"I'm not! Why would I?"

"So you could protect your brother, prevent from exposing a larger, underground rebel cell."

"What?! That's outrageous!"

"We have been forced to expect the unexpected lately."

The man's brother sighed, exasperated.

"I'll ask again, why did he do it?"

"I. Don't. Know!"

The interrogator walked to the door and talked to a security guard.

"He's not cooperating. Take him away."

"Wait, what? Where are you taking me?"

"Where insurrectionists like you and your brother belong; Brazil In a prison to rot."

The interrogator left the room, and the security guard grabbed the man and took him into a prison van, in which he was sent to a prison near Camaguey.

The missiles streaked towards Korean ships. The smaller ships were hit hard, but they were mainly in the back as cleanup, and the larger ships could intercept most of them. Two hit the destroyer ROKS Pusan, and one hit the ROKS Mulchongsae, the flagship.

"Sir, a missile hit port!" someone yelled to the captain, aboard the bridge of the Mulchongsae. He made a grim face.

"The world knows the Koreans opened fire on our ships first. Fire back, with missiles and open batteries. Target the Coast Guard, but hit the naval vessels with missiles. Launch SAMs — we are not opening another front for them to attack us with."

The port side batteries (those not damaged by the missile, which were most) opened fire on the Korean Coast Guard and naval vessels. 31 Korean various antiship missiles launched, many streaking towards the smaller ships and clusters of ships where they could do damage. Meanwhile, the Korean ships spread into a skirmish line, with the larger ships turning their port sides to the Japanese ones, and the smaller ships in windows behind them. The fishing ships mainly tried to flee out of the line of fire, but a few were stuck between. One fisherman unfurled a giant Korean flag and waved it, shouting "Dokdo is ours" and making rude gestures at the Japanese.

The Korean government brought forward a lawsuit against the Japanese Coast Guard, Japanese Navy, and Japanese government. It alleged that the Japanese sent armed helicopters, with the purpose of attack, into Korean waters, after the Koreans had warned them not to enter and tried to arrest them. They also blamed the Japanese Navy for opening fire on Korean vessels carrying out international law, and infiltrating Korean waters. They allege that the Japanese government was behind this, with the attempt of destabilizing or invading Korea, and apology, as well as Japanese recognition of Korea's sovereignty over Dokdo, or else for other nations to levy sanctions on Japanese officials or the economy.

"Vice Admiral Riou, we have detected 31 cruise missiles incoming." called an operator from the bridge.

Riou replied, "Deploy anti-air missiles. As for now, we will not launch more planes until we receive word from Tokyo."

Watching as several Korean missiles were taken down by the escorts and the carrier itself, Riou called, "Deploy chaff and CIWS."

As the chaff lured away several missiles and CIWS took down a few more, only several came close to the carrier, hitting two of the supply ships in the fleet with two missiles each, the JDS Akizuki taking one as well. As its crews raced for damage control, Riou called out, "Fire another volley."

Overhead, another volley of 48 missiles roared out towards the Korean ships as word came in from Tokyo: "Permission to engage targets on Takeshima Island and enemy surface combatants with navy air power is granted."

Now the carrier readied the rest of its 24 F-35s for launch.

30 Miles from Takeshima

As the 12 F-35B jets raced towards Takeshima, they kept their distance; prepared to be directed to intercept potential hostile Korean warplanes. To lighten their load, they dropped their munitions, special missiles made for such an occasion.

It was hoped these would be able to score hits on the Korean destroyers and battleships, and possibly sink them to force the Korean force to retreat.

6 supersonic ASM-3 Kai missiles were dropped, racing at Mach 3 towards the four Korean destroyers. 6 relatively new AGM-158C LRASM missiles were fired at the Korean battleships, the hope being their stealthy design would prevail. American made, it was decided that these LRASM missiles would have the better chance over the ASM-3s at hitting the battleships.

6 Miles from Takeshima

As the Coast Guard ships withered under naval gunfire and the situation seemed lost, Ogawa watched as Japanese missiles struck several Korean ships. Across the fleet, men were cheering "BANZAI!"

Ogawa called to his men, "Break formation and begin general attack. Keep your distance to avoid our friendly missiles from accidentally targeting us. Protect our more damaged ships and the men in the water!"

Admiral Yamamura stood up. "I believe situation going as it is, we must eliminate all Korean naval forces surrounding the Islands. We must save our Coast Guard forces. I propose we move into wartime positions and launch land based anti-ship missiles. We can fire many more from land than our boys can at sea..."

He was interrupted by Army General Yuasa who had been in the corner of the room with several other army men from the beginning. "Yes we must destroy the enemy ships, but we must assume that we are now at war with Korea and Russia. I believe our reports state Russian ships are moving towards the Takeshima, and that is enough combined with their messages to completely mobilize."

Abe nodded. "I agree. Begin full mobilization of our military and call up the reserves. Have all planes and missile batteries report to wartime defense positions. If the situation doesn't calm, tonight I will declare martial law and we will have to go from there. I will not approve of missile strikes against Korea itself unless they attack first, but the Army and Navy are free to assume combat control and attack the Korean fleet near the Takeshima Islands."

Yamamura bowed. "Sir what of the Russian Fleet?"

"Move the Yamato Strike Group to shadow from a far distance. Double air patrols, and move the Musashi Strike Group towards Korea. Now I must speak with my ministers for the political standing we want to take. Go do your duties for the Emperor." He raise his hands in a salute as he had done before with the Nippon Kaigi. "Banzai!"

The military officers immediately stood and in unison, arms raised called out in a thunderous "BANZAI!"

As the order went out, across Honshu and Kyushu dozens of Japanese anti-ship missile batteries opened their tubes and fired. Almost in unison, dozens of Type 12 missile batteries blasted all three of their missiles, one after another, as the crews now scrambled to reload, the missiles rising up into the air.

Now in a matter of 20 minutes, 108 missiles from the batteries, 168 total, raced across the sky all bent on overwhelming the defenses of the Korean fleet.

Anti-air batteries braced themselves for a Korean response across Japan as planes raced into wartime positions.

The United States in the strongest possible terms condemns the crackdown by the Cuban Government on its people. As of the release of this press briefing the United States will be enacting the harshest possible sanctions on any official of the communist government that does business outside of Cuba. Pro-democratic protests continue to rage on across Belarus. Both the Belarusian Police and the Russian MGB were putting up any remaining effort to quell the protests before martial law. Some protests have transformed into violent riots with protesters violently clashing with law enforcement. In Minsk, the situation worsened even more than it did five years ago.

Protesters became more desperate as they sought to put an end to the oppression that has ruled Belarus since the country was made into a "sovereign people's republic" by the RPF. At one street, a huge group of protesters confronted riot police. While both sides were in a standoff, the protesters took the time to pull down their pants and moon the riot police en masse, as well as shouting out explicit insults at the riot police. These insults where:
"Kiss our asses!"
"Fuck Lukashenko!"
"Fuck Russia!"
"Come and fuck us, you fucking pigs!"
"Long live Belarus!"
"Death to communism!"

The officers lost their temper and began firing their riot guns at the protesters. The protesters disperse, but then began charging at the police with bricks, baseball bats, hammers, rocks, petrol bombs and sticks. The ensuing clashes were violent and resulted in numerous injuries on both sides. On one instance, a protester got beaten up by at least five riot officers so badly that one of his legs was permanently broken and required medical help. Many protesters were beaten up badly and arrested. Meanwhile, some protesters got sprayed in their faces. On the other hand, law enforcement also suffered from injuries caused by the protesters, with some officers recieving "gang beatings", as well as one police car being vandalized and eventually overturned.

Just as chaos ensued, Alexander Lukashenko freaked out and called Sasha Yenkov.
"Comrade Yenkov, the protesters are on the loose in my country!" Lukashenko shouted in sheer terror. "I need your assistance immediately!"
"Calm down, Lukashenko", Sasha said. "Help will arrive in time. Are you sure that you want your country to be put under martial law?"
"Of course!" Lukashenko answered out of desperation. "Please, put an end to these damn protests! I am freaking out right now!"
"Fine", Sasha said. "I will think about it until further notice."
"Thank you", Lukashenko said before the call ended.

Besides the increasingly violent protests in Belarus, President Sasha Yenkov also focused on other incidents regarding Cuba and Japan. As such, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues another statement.

Regarding Cuba, both the protests and the ensuing crackdown are recognized as internal matters that only concerns Cuba. Any attempt at foreign interference shall not be tolerated by both Cuba and Russia. Russia also advises foreign governments to not place sanctions on Cuba due to the crackdown.

Regarding the Liancourt Rocks, Japan has officially crossed line. As a result, a fleet of three destroyers and two corvettes from the Pacific Fleet has been sent to deal with the Japanese ships near the Liancourt Rocks. Russia advises Korea to retreat as to avoid a three-sided battle. Russia now considers Japan's actions in the conflict to be a pure act of imperialism and shall be punished harshly. This is to prevent Japan from making further territorial claims following this conflict.

President Miguel Diaz-Canel sat in his office ass he received a briefing on the situation in Asia.

"What should we do, Mr. President?", asked the Minister of foreign affairs.

"We take them with a grain of sand."

Meanwhile, the protests continued, despite the harsh crackdown of the past few days since the bombing. These protesters had balls of steel, and had continued to march through tear gas(with protection, of course). Police fired rubber bullets every now and then, whenever they got too close for comfort. Meanwhile, in his office, Cuban military general Eduardo Nunez-Pelo sat in his office and saw pictures of the chaos on his phone.. These were his people, suffering, and he had done nothing to try and stop it. A tear began to come to his eye, when he had a thought. He could end the suffering. He then dialed the number of the commander of the 1st Tank Division of the Revolutionary Army.

"Hello?", the commander answered.

"Send your tanks to Havana."

"For what, to attack protesters?"

"No...to help them."

"...what are you suggesting? A coup?"

"In a sense, yes. We will topple the government and liberate the people."

"...Yes, sir.. I'll gather the men and mobilize."

70 Miles from the Takeshima Islands

Having expended their dedicated anti-ship missiles, the Akagi Strike Group moved north for resupply. Soon they would be out of Korean Harpoon missile range, yet still covered by their aircraft and Type 12 missile batteries on shore. Remaining Japan Coast Guard vessels had been ordered to return immediately to the home islands. Five had sunk or had been scuttled, the remaining lucky to have only come under bombardment and not missile attack. Despite heavy damage, it was expected they could return home despite the heavy casualties on the lightly armed ships.

2 submarines had been detached from the Akagi Strike Group to move towards Takeshima while the Musashi Strike Group now neared the region.

200 Miles Southeast from the Takeshima Islands

Well out of range of Korean Harpoon missiles, Japanese High Command had given orders that the Musashi Strike Group stay out of range so carrier assets stayed protected. Safe in the Hoyo Strait, the Musashi Strike Group was well within Japanese SAM cover and protected by Type 12 Missiles, land based jets, and its own air complement. Its air crews had readied for battle, but the fleet waited for the go ahead from Tokyo as they managed the political situation. Three squadrons were loaded and ready with anti-ship missiles with the remained prepared with ground munitions, ready to launch strikes on Korean forces and bases at the direct of the government. Peace now rested on the Korean response. The government was satisfied with the favorable results from the battle around Takeshima, it was now up to the Koreans to decide if they wanted all out war or not.

100 Miles Southwest of Hakodate

The Yamato Strike Group now monitored Russian forces, planes equipped and ready to launch strikes on the Russian navy. Their orders were simple. The minute Russian forces violated Takeshima territorial waters, issue a warning. Then dispatch planes and if the Russians did not comply, launch a strike in coordination with ground forces.

Yokota Air Base

Aware of the impending Russian fleet and Korean threat, a dozen F-35A fighters had been dispatched over Niigata, prepared to fly and launch their special payload. Their payloads were experimental, brand new missiles that had just completed several rounds of testing. The missiles in question were called Type 5 Hypervelocity Gliding Projectiles, hypersonic cruise missiles capable of Mach 5. They were built to penetrate carrier decks, and would be very capable if they worked...

It is our belief that this attack was premeditated. The Korean side fired a surface-to-air missile at one of the Japan Coast Guard's helicopters, starting a battle that is still being waged. Thanks to our brave Navy and Army, we have beaten back at the 'Chon' force who provoked this exchange."

He paused, looking out.

"Our initial assessments point to that the Korean side has lost 8 ships with several hundred casualties. For security purposes, at this time I cannot reveal Coast Guard or Navy casualties, but I assure you, we are winning. Know that no man did not die with glory and honor for his nation. With our superior will and capabilities, Japan will prevail."

"I have just spoken with members of the National Diet, who at the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Defense, are prepared to authorize emergency funding to support our security effort. Such will increase our defense budget for this year to 2.5% of our GDP or $135 billion. While the situation has not yet warranted such a response, I am sure you are aware of our current costly efforts to our defense. Should this new budget need to be implemented, and assuming that hostilities end in a timely manner, the Diet has pledged $5 billion to modernize US military bases in Japan and $10 billion for collaboration efforts with other Asian militaries."

"While I cannot comment on domestic defense purchases that are currently being planned at this moment with our great companies such as Nakajima, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, and Ishikawajima-Harima, I can comment on the Diet's pledge. The Diet has pledged to spend $20 billion extra on contracts with American Defense companies to procure different weapons systems that I cannot comment on for security purposes."

As the conflict started by the Korean side grows in its scope, the State of Japan urges for Korea to withdraw from the Japanese territorial waters surrounding the Takeshima Islands. The State of Japan calls upon the United States of America, the Republic of China, Europe, and the United Nations as a whole to help negotiate a cease-fire agreement. Ill-informed decisions not based in the facts and true history only act to inflame tensions and prevent peace efforts.

Further, the State of Japan strongly condemns the ill-informed imperialistic attempt at intervention in Asian affairs by the Federal Republic of Germany. For the past century, the people of Asia have worked to free themselves from imperialist clutches of Europe. Now Germany, nearly 110 years after it lost its Pacific colonies, is trying again to assert itself in Asia. While the State of Japan supports peaceful intervention to bring an end to the conflict started by the Korean side, it cannot accept any potential threat to the security of its territories and people.

As a result, the State of Japan will immediately sanction the military of the Federal Republic of Germany. Further, due to the very real threat of danger and its importance for Japanese security, the State of Japan will officially close the Tsushima Strait to all German military traffic. However, standing with the principles of Freedom of Navigation and Maritime Law, the State of Japan pledges to not impede any German civil traffic or military traffic going though the Chosen Strait, so long as the military traffic in question do not violate Japanese territorial waters.

Due to the present conditions, the State of Japan urges all of its citizens in Korea, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Russian People's Federation to leave immediately and return to Japan. Should you be unable to return to Japan it is recommended that you travel to one of the following nearby safer countries: the United States of America, the Republic of China, the Republic of Poland, Canada, or the United Mexican States.

In light of the poorly hidden threats by the Russian People's Federation, the State of Japan stands ready and committed to its own security. While much tactical consideration has gone into its plans, the Japanese military will not start conflict with Russia. Any Russian military ship that enters Japanese territorial waters or poses a significant threat in any way will be fired upon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for its citizens to rest assured, Japanese intelligence and military forces are currently monitoring the Russian forces and have assets nearby ready to neutralize the threat within 15 minutes. We would like to remind Russia and Korea that we hold offensive strike capabilities, and should we believe that devastating missile attack is imminent, we have resources to react.

While there is nothing Turkey can do, Fethullah has decided to use Turkey as neutral third party and will ask all three nations to meet in Istanbul for a peace conference. The 1st Tank Division arrived on the outskirts of Havana. The commander awaited further orders from Eduardo Nunez-Pelo, top general of the Revolutionary Army.

Meanwhile, in the Presidential Residence, President Miguel Diaz-Canel was giving a statement to state owned media.

"To our foreign counterparts who seemingly are unable to grasp that this is a domestic issue, who are issuing more sanctions over the crackdown, we say 'stop'. We did not start this issue,, those treasonists marching through our streets did. They overstepped their boundaries with the bombing, and now they are simply paying the consequences. To the United States, who has wanted to see our downfall since the revolution, we say 'stop'. This is a purely domestic issue that does not concern you. If you continue with your intimidation tactics, we will take action."

Eduardo Nunez-Pelo was in his office, calling the 1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions to join the 1st Tank Division on the outskirts of Havana. After about 40 minutes, the divisions were all at a camp they had set up. Eduardo, meanwhile, was communicating with the US Department of Defense to negotiate air support for the coup along with the Revolutionary Air and Air Defense Force.

- The US and several Indo-Pacific allies (Such as Australia, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, New Zealand and Thailand) are seeking to send naval assets to join the German fleet in there journey to the disputed zone in an effort to create a coalition fleet. US Diplomates again urge both side of the Korean-Japan dispute to come to the table and bring this dispute to a peaceful end.

US diplomates landed in Kaliningrad this morning with offers of several aid packages in an effort to integrate the Baltic republic in NATO, the EU and other western institutions.

With no Korean response yet, it seemed tensions were lowering on that front. But with Russian forces moving towards the Takeshima Islands, authorization had come down from the Prime Minister to seize the Takeshima to cease all resistance from its defenders. The goal was to drop in unnoticed by Korean or Russian forces, so the Special Forces Group and 1st Helicopter Brigade were perfect for the job.

Two Ch-47 Chinook helicopters were being loaded up, each to carry 55 paratroopers. The mission was dangerous, but they would be supported by 2 F-35s, 4 F-2s, 4 Kawasaki OH-1 helicopters, and 2 Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopters.

As they launched into the air, the men braced themselves for the battle to come.
