Although her parents served in the navy, she was always drawn to the sky. They did not prevent her from pursuing her dream, on the contrary, they helped. As a result, after graduating from school, she successfully entered the flight school, which she graduated from one of the best among her graduates. She was assigned to the 9th Guards Fighter Squadron, and although the troops did not see much service since the Great Island War, it was 9th Squadron who fought on the side of the UF in many local conflicts. For fulfilling her international duty with a special distinction (7 shot down planes of which 1 heavy bomber with suspected nuclear weapons, this is not a joke to you!), She was presented to a number of state awards by both Laka and UF. Now, already tired of combat missions, she has been transferred to the "standard" 113 Fighter Wing, where its main task is to escort aircraft carrying nuclear weapons. It was there that she met her love - a young aircraft armament technician, Private Andrew Sambridge-Tekko, with whom she got married. This cruise is the final part of their honeymoon trip, paid for by UF as a recipient of a high state award.

I thought maybe we could find compromise, and we could work with you, but again, based on your responses, and considering your post history, it's a lot of effort to find a way to get you into this RP, only for you to do one liner posts which is most of your post history here on NS. I'm just not willing to go through that only to discover that this is not going to be your miracle breakthrough RP where you suddenly decide to make quality posts that were worth me bending over backwards to accommodate you. After his term was done, he found that the quality of living was fast dipping in his home Republic, and drug cartel crime was on a steep rise, affecting all those around him. He also was unable to find a job in his field. He was torn between leaving his aging parents and seeking a new life abroad. His brother, a soldier for one of the cartels, was no help. With the assurance of his sisters and cousins that they could take care of his parents, and the urging of all his family and friends, he went to Neu Engollon to get an advanced degree in Radio Engineering and Cyber Communication Systems at the University of Liguria. He worked as a server in Panoli restaurants to support himself, while also sending some money home to his family.

After he locked in his degree, he was able to land a job with Regensburg. He had his first combat action, not as a San Rositan naval NCO, but as a corporate crewman having to fend off Qasifyan, Gragastavian, and Mubatan pirates in the Southern Tavlyrian Ocean in defense of Regensburg cargo ships.

Wanting something a little more low key and less risky, he signed on with the new Glisandian cruise line as their communications officer, having stumbled upon their help wanted ad on web forums popular for Communications/Information technicians and officers. He still travels home for a month, once a year. Spanish is his first language, but he speaks English almost flawlessly, he can get by in Gaulic French, and even learned some Frandit during his time in Neu Engollon.

As Orcadia pointed out, you were asked not to post. Now you're TGing me. I'm going to answer you here though, so everyone is clear that I'm not 'just being a big meanie', even though you keep trying. I said no to weapons. I said no to Nazis. I said yes to cybernetic people. I said no to national leaders for reasons I have gone over about security. Not just you not providing it, but my nation being on the hook if something happens to your leader. I also said no to RPing the exploitation of minors, although apparently I wasn't clear enough -

Just to be clear now, moderation just slapped down a thread and meted out punishment for allowing the RP of exploitation of minors. A slavery thread that included pleasure slaves, and nothing like a recreational cruise, but the point remains. They were very clear about warning or punishing all who participated in some degree to violating the PG-13 rule of NS, and also intolerance for exploitation of minors, pedophilia, statutory rape, or whatever else you want to call that RP and various actions associated.
In this case of minor marriage, even though it exists in RL, and parents can even approve it of their own children, and it might not be considered rape by all, it is however exploitation and it is immoral. No debate. I won't let it in this thread. 4? 5 strikes? You're way out.

Brief Bio:
Captain Stan spent his early career in the Merchant Marine, and he was sure that he would die while still in the service of the RGMM. However, after braving Yellowsian naval blockades and working the war helping to bring desperately needed supplies to his homeland, he was ready for a change as things settled down. He had worked his way up to Captain in his last 3 years, and was able to collect a small pension after having surpassed his 20 year mark. He took an offered position as Captain with Grand Empress, a Gaulic cruise line company, sailing the Teremaran oceans, Wishton Sea, and beyond, but grew homesick for the Grand Duchy.

When he found out through industry friends that Sunrise Tours was starting up, he was quick to put his interest out there to the founders. He was ready to come back home. Considering his pedigree, they were quick to hire him. He has been on retainer for over a year, doing mostly planning and supervising of the outfitting of the new boats, along with the other executive officers. Lilja, his XO, is a good soft counterpart to his flinty demeanor and their past goes back previous to Sunrise Tours.

She worked her way up, but never quite made her way to a Captain’s spot in the small RGMM, where the top slots are few. Having served under Captain Stan before, he was quick to bring her on board. Sunrise has promised her the Captain’s chair after Captain Januzski retires in two years, at the helm of the Traustur.

Brief Bio: Like Captain Stan, Soren is of mixed descent of the original Nordic tribes, and the large Polish immigrant population of the Grand Duchy. His family has been in Hjamokjim for three generations. He was highly recommended by the Presarius Plaza (a Neu Engollian chain of luxury hotels), who were sad to lose him, but the General Manager was friends with the Sunrise Tours owners and so Soren left with his blessing, as the Assistant Housekeeping Manager was quite capable to take over.

The Band

Útáfrétt (Out To Pasture) Plays a variety of pop and folk music, with some Northern Tavlyrian influence, but also some other Teremaran influences thrown in like Southeast Madurin (Latin), and Western Madurin (Euro) styles. The band recently formed, hired by Sunrise Tours from a pool of musicians, as they found they couldn’t get a whole band (that can play popular styles) to commit to touring for the spring and early summer. The band have spent the last few weeks intensely adapting popular songs, rehearsing, and gelling together as a group, as they hang around Hjamokjim, waiting for the next cruise launch.

Paweł Aaronsson - Vocals, rhythm guitar, harmonica, some percussion
Paweł was a mainstay in the local Hjamokjim coffee house and small venue scene. He enjoys performing, but doing the coffeehouse and bar circuit is not as lucrative as the money offered by Sunrise. He hopes to tour with the band for one cruise season, then relaunch his own solo career.

Brenna Korczowski - Backup vocals, bass guitar, violin, mandolin, nyckelharpa
Brenna attended the Rikijdrottin Conservatory of Arts for a musical degree. This is her first job out of uni. She is shy, but very generous and caring. She has begun to date Pawel, but it is too early to know if it will lead to anything. She knows that this band is not likely to become a real touring band, but hopes to both join one after this experience, and also to keep practicing and eventually apply for the Royal Orchestra of Rikijdrottin with one of the many string instruments with which she is proficient.

Bennet ‘Benny’ Valdosta - Lead guitar
Benny is a fill in touring member of the Neu Engollian pop rock band, the Frigidmares hailing from Panoli. He hopes to rejoin the band for their later summer tour schedule, including their long standing gig at the Alpen View Brew Festival in Burgunden. A 27 year old long-time Lacetan drummer from Girona with eclectic musical tastes. He alternates drumming and part-time work while in the process of trying to start a band to fulfil his musical dream project. Personality-wise, he’s kind of a goofball with a silly sense of humour and a love of puns (regardless of quality). He grew up in a middle class family and has always been attracted to creative stuff like music and playing video games. Ulric is a firm believer in the "work sucks, I know” adage.

Brief Bio:

Jason Hoyt is a Port Emberian of Bergian descent, born and raised within one of the many Bergian Traveling Convoy's found upon the tropical archipelago. Jason was raised within the confines of Bergian traditions, meaning he was taught the ways of survival and the ways of the jungle since before he could even properly walk. He was raised within a true Spartan-like environment, with the skills, knowledge and experience of his ancestors being the only luxury he was given. The one life lesson which he learned during his formative years, which still resonates with him strongly, was the skill of using everything within your surroundings to repair or build something else.

Jason's traditional upbringing was the cause of him being sent from the Convoy when he was 14 years of age, joining a military school within Port Ember Megalopolis, and consequently joining up with the Port Ember Security Forces upon graduation, ending up in the Navy. His tunnel vision mentality to success led him to rise through the ranks quickly, and sent to study maritime engineering with the famed Port Ember Maritime University, where he obtained his Master's Degree.

After a few years of exemplary service within the Navy as the Chief Engineer upon a Lilly Black Class Destroyer, he was discharged dishonorably after an unknown incident occurred.

Disgraced and shamed, Jason left Port Ember behind for new horizons, with the intent of using his skills and experience to regain his honour. Whilst backpacking through Glisandia, he happened upon a vacancy for a chief engineer….

Brief Bio: Born and raised in rural Osatana outside of Lisryan in a prominent aristocratic family who had weathered the chronic violent coups due to their useful influence in the city politics. He was sent to study abroad and eventually earned a journalism degree in Orcadia and would become estranged from his family when he began to write articles critical of the military junta. Forced to flee the country he left an infant son and wife in Osatana he now lives in Glisandia as a political exile and journalist writing on issues in Osatana. Any hope of returning following the fall of the Junta was self-sabotaged when he turned to critique of the new Revolutionary State.

He mostly works to support his family in the Duchy of Glisandia.
